Venezuela's President wants all the country's gold being held in European and American banks returned to Caracas. It would be the largest physical movement of gold in recent history. Hugo Chavez said he's trying to protect his country from the financial woes on both sides of the Atlantic. RT talks to Adrian Salbuchi, who's in Buenos Aires.

Welll, well, well, I guess we're about to witness a mayor unfoldment of events in Venezuela and South America, as Chavez's move to recover his gold from the "Empires" may further enhance their finacial troubles and thirst for retaliation, besides starting a trend for others to follow. Interesting to say the least.
Today Venezuela, tomorrow the rest of the world?

I love Adrian...i hope he possesses secret super powers and becomes the president of Argentina one day : P
other than that, as someone who works in the distorted finance world, i have no doubt that they will use this to attack Venezuela, who unlike what the usual forum hijackers here who want everyone to conform to their opinion (a bit like what happens in dictatorships to be honest that behavior), IS out of the game at the moment. (at least to me)
Like AS said, Saddam decided to buy petrol in Euro's rather than $'s and boom a war over there because of what they call 9-11 of which not a single of the accused was Iraqi.
Libyan crazy president says he want his own currency for all of Africa based on gold, and nothing to do with the dollar and suddenly a war in Libya.
HOWEVER Venezuela is Latin not Arab, so i hope the same formula will not give the same result there. we'll just have to see what happens here and if the Latin world has learnt from the past or is planning on repeating it.

They need to get thier gold back before its too late plus interest accrued.
I hope that all other governments will take heed to what is happening.
