Our society is going to see some major changes in the next 25 years. Our country's government was built to divide the power and not make it possible for people to be power hungry, but lobbyists and major corporations have literally bought our government and now control this world. I can't help but laugh when people talk about politics nowadays. Commons citizens have no more say anymore in our system and never really have, but it's become much worse.
Everyone in our government is doing what they do for incentive. Our corporations have given them more incentives to do the wrong things for personal greed and benefit and have stopped caring for the rest of the country. The top 1% of this country who own 50% of the country itself have everything available to them to prevent anyone else from gaining their power/money in their respective markets. Consider the "American Dream" and early industry days as a gold rush for success. The people who got to the success first decided to change the game and burn the bridge down between where they used to be and where they are now.
My first couple years in school as an economics major really freaked me out when I learned about reality in this country. This country is heading in a bad direction, and people that think otherwise IMO are just weak and refuse to accept that reality. The smartest professors and people I know from school have all said the same regarding our future. At some point in the future, something is going to happen and there will be a collapse or revolution. The common citizens will be squeezed even harder for all the money they have and their incentives/value for certain things will be lost in this system and there will be change in one way or another.
