Afghan protesters have blocked the Kabul-Kandahar highway in protest at the recent killing of four Afghan civilians in US-led operations in Ghazni Province of Afghanistan.
The protests came after NATO troops shelled a residential area in Gilan district of Ghazni Province, killing the four Afghans on Saturday, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Following the attack, hundreds of Afghans took to the streets in protest and blocked the main highway connecting Kabul to Kandahar.
Protesters strongly condemned the killing and warned of violent reaction by the public.
Hundreds of civilians have lost their lives in US-led airstrikes and ground operations in different parts of the war-ravaged country over the past months.
The loss of civilian lives at the hand of foreign forces has dramatically increased anti-American sentiments in Afghanistan.
Kabul has been condemning attacks on Afghan people, with Afghan President Hamid Karzai saying the foreign forces should stop looking for Taliban militants among civilians.
The US-led war in Afghanistan, with civilian and military casualties at record highs, has become the longest war in the US history.
