In all seriousness avalonuggets, let me tell you this, I find this forum to be the best I have been lucky enough to join and participate on.
I have been on many forums since I got onto the net in 2003, of all types.
I find the energy here excellent, the members are some of the best I have met, even if most only virtually.
I have learnt a lot since I got here, as Limor said in another thread, not just what to do, but the not to do as well.
I am also thankful that the forum is moderated as I have seen the result of unmoderated or undermoderated forums before.
I went to see the Eddie Trunk forums yesterday.
Check this subforum out, it is meant to be about Ronnie James Dio, but look at it.

All but a few are advertising trollnuggets.
So our forum has gatekeepers that keep this nuggetry away from us and our discussions.
We all have disagreements from time to time, even heated ones, but overall, they do a damn good job.
So, I say to you lot, you aren't a bad group of people at all.

This place is one of the very few places that can actually 'change my mind'. It has certainly broadened my understanding on the ways of this world. Sometime's in life we get it wrong, plain wrong and we just have to allow each other the space the grow.

Yes indeed, Avalon is a great place to be.

A place where people from all walks of life can share their knowledge and wisdom without the constant threat of being attacked, ridiculed or persecuted.

LS is right, we don't always agree on everything and sometimes discussions can get a little heated but for the most part I've found the people on this forum to be very open-minded, respectful and kind.

In my experience an environment like that is not an easy one to create, especially on the internet where people have the ability to hide behind their avatars and computer screens.

I think this says a helluva lot about the owner of this forum and those he has chosen to act as moderators.

So, I think everyone should give themselves a big old pat on the back, right now... I SAID NOW DAMMIT!!! :)

It so nice to have this special place to go, where you know there wll be very smart enlightened people.
You can just listen to all the wisdom in conversations between the best of us, and, just soak up all that eminating knowedge of basic human history.
Or, you can jump in with your pitance of info and have no worry of beng called silly or incoherant or any other, put down, you might get somewhere else.
It,s like we all understand each other is some esoteric way that is unexplainable.
I agree with you sid it is a lovely place to be.
I am truly fortunate to be a member.

Anyway enough a== l=====g LOL.......I believe in syncrinicity and I'm a bit of a luddite in technical terms, a tele and vid was my limit untill about four years ago, and when I aquired a old computor

I got on the net and put in UFO's on google and one of the first sites I found was project Camelot.....Heaven I thought there were people out there that were interested in the same things as me.....

As time went by I got a new computor and my typing gradually got better, so I took the plunge and joined in May 2011 with a couple of work mates. As a few of the old guard were jumping ship

over the Charlie issue it felt time as I had been watching since day one to join the crew, I have not been a member of any other forum so I appreciate what you say Sid about the mods...

My typing skills don't allow me to keep up with all of you , and my one fingered approach has graduated to two fingers, LOL and at times both hands and four fingers come in to play but

the trouble with that is i get to excited and make to many mistakes and i have to spend several minutes editing..LOL ......Well thanks Lord sid and the Moderating staff for making this a site to be
