I'm in St. Thomas, Ontario, and I totally felt this! I was just surfing the net, and the chair under me started shaking, my fan (which wasn't on or plugged in.) started waving back and forth, and my windchimes (which are inside and never move.) started clinking against each other. thanks Referee. the strangest thing just happened here where i live in pennsylvania. i was sitting here looking at today's posts, and i felt this strange drop and rumble. it kinda felt like when you're dreaming and think you're falling. it was like that, then everything shook a little bit. very strange indeed. and at first i thought it was just me, but then my daughter came over and said that she felt it too. she thought a bad spirit was shaking her bed. thanks for the head's up. could be indicative of something major about to happen in and around the entire eastern seaboard.

By the same token, I would not put it past tptw to have instigated this so as to 'get the ball rolling'... martial law, etc. It also may be a reaction to the atrocities that NATO/others have been instigating in the Mediterranean, by those in sympathy to Libya and Syria, and to give a warning to the West that what they are attempting will not be tolerated.

If indeed it is from 'outside', I see this as a means to cause fear and confusion, which is what 'they' want. Don't give it to them.

You have a lot of great points. Of course they have the power to cause a quake. But if people just think it's "natural", how could that be a warning to us? (Well, those of us who aren't aware of what really goes on, I mean.)

Have chemtrails been different for y'all lately? I noticed when I went out yesterday to water the veggies that there's this new (or new to me.) kinda chemtrail that is made up in the Sky, and then all at once, it's gone. But a few hours later, you have all the weird, wispy clouds that I never saw when I was a child. (Is this making sense? :)) I'm wondering if they've "upped" their technology and created chemtrails that become invisible? Has anyone else thought of this based on what they've seen? And if so, do you think this could be connected to HAARP and its insidious pushing of unnatural weather?

Live Web Cam of the monument. It is obvious that the camera is tilted, which exaggerates the effect. Notice that the horizon is skewed.

However, if you get over that and look at the angle that the monument makes to the horizon, it does appear to be leaning toward the right by a degree or so.

I also wonder if it is HAARP too. Irene crossed PR two days ago but it didn't caused any real damage. It is two days after it went through that we are getting blasted by rain, stronger wind gusts and even tornado warnings. Here in the island have been commenting that this is too much of a weird climatic behavior. We didn't have power since Monday evening in the metro area.

Anyways the environment has been feeling heavy for the past two days and at around 1 p.m. AST it was really hard for me to keep my eyes open. When I woke up (around 2:45 p.m. AST) I saw that we got power back so I went online to catch up only to see Yahoo's headline about the quake then I go to Weather.com and I see the new projected path for Irene. It's spooky because I already dreamt about Irene going way north but don't remember if it will cause heavy damage to the East coast.

I was "joking" on Sunday about what HAARP is and does with my parents (is the only way they listen as they are not as aware) and now they think that this whole deal might be more real than they thought.

One thing I'd like to point out is that Galactics and UFO's have been seen all over that area of late. They have been modifying and lessening the effects. They are being seen doing this all over the world and in special areas like the SUN. They are fully visible to many people who are witnessing their actions.

IMHO this was probably intended by the dark to be a very large EARTHQUAKE but it was lessened and came out as only 5.9 ~ even that was dissipated, so that minimum lives were lost and minimum damages occurred. This is very true. We are the cells of this planet. It's like cells in humans. When they become dieased, they attack other cells.. A quake of that magnitude is downright scary. I moved off the West coast of the U.S. for that very reason. I hope that this quake calms down really quickly and just stops.

Something I was thinking about earlier as an additional 'reason' for this event... how convenient that this is the perfect excuse and means by which to evacuate / escape the DC area without causing 'suspicion'... and we have a fair number of our congress in the mid east. Hi everyone, thanks for this interesting discussion from many different angles.

I just want to add observations from my area in Virginia, about 2 hours southwest of the epicenter. Here it just felt like a VERY gentle side to side sliding motion of my whole house for maybe 10 seconds, then several seconds of very tiny movements, then it was gone. Nothing violent or strong enough to knock things over. My whole house moved side to side, and I moved with it. I was sitting down at the time and felt it very clearly, but people walking around didn't feel much at all. A friend who is a tour guide in a local cavern was leading a group underground and they felt absolutely nothing - which I find interesting - but everyone in the gift shop above ground felt this gentle side to side movement of the building.

I personally believe this was a HAARP or similar technology event aimed at Washington, but why or by whom I don't know. As I understand it, with a natural earthquake there are "pre-shocks" as well as aftershocks. It is the pre-shocks that animals respond to before an earthquake hits. But a local friend who has 12 dogs and 6 cats said the animals didn't give her any advance warning, which suggests to me that there were no pre-shocks and therefore this was probably not a natural event. Anybody on this forum, did your animals tell you it was coming?

I put two drops under my tongue and put one drop on each sole of my foot, and within two minutes, it was like gravity got nicer to me. :) I felt like a giant weight was lifted from my shoulders. Holly, hooray! So glad it worked so fast for you. I think Rescue Remedy (or Five Flowers made by another maker) should be in every first aid kit. It's great for animals too, and children.
Actually, ALL flower essences rock! It's just finding the right one that your body needs. Muscle testing is a way to find out which essence is needed. Or sometimes just intuition.
The first time I ever took the Perelandra essences, I felt waves of energy rippling throughout my being. Flower essences are amazing healers.

I live and work in Northern VA and when this happened yesterday I was at work in my office. Our building is pretty large and I sit on the 5th floor. My building shook so hard I thought the glass windows were going to burst. I thought I was a gonner for sure for about 20 seconds. Our whole building was evacuated and we had to wait outside for two hours before they allowed us to get our cars from the parking garage. I have to say that was one of the scariest moments of my life. To know that you have absolutely no control over what is happening and all you can do is deal with it. I can't imagen what the people in Haiti and Japan went through since their Earthquakes were much more devastating. We were lucky here in VA. It surely makes you appreciate the small stuff.

Instead of letting yourself build up feelings of fear and dread, spread your arms out from your body, starting at shoulder level then slowly drop them down but still outward from the body. Release a breath as you do this, releasing with it all the fear and dread, saying out loud or silently: "Calm, Calm, Calm," for Mother Earth (or whatever calming words you prefer). Then bring your hands back to the center of your chest and do the outward, downward motion again, feeling calm again. Do this until you really do feel calm and have broken free of the fear mindset.

Plenty of East Coast humans may have freaked out during yesterday’s earthquake, but what about the animals? At the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., some animals were slightly jittery, while many weathered the quake with grace and aplomb. Except for the black-and-rufous giant elephant shrew. He was a real wuss.

The National Zoo issued a report this morning detailing how their mammals, reptiles, fish and birds reacted to the 5.9 magnitude earthquake. Some definitely took it better than others.

“Iris (an orangutan) began ‘belch vocalizing‘ — an unhappy/upset noise normally reserved for extreme irritation — before the quake and continued this vocalization following the quake,” the zoo’s communications office says. “Damai (a female Sumatran tiger) jumped at the start of the earthquake in a startled fashion. Her behavior returned to normal after the quake.”

Unfortunately for several taxa, the earthquake hit right at feeding time, meaning some creatures’ meals were rudely interrupted. The beavers and some hooded mergansers (ducks) were eating when the quake hit, and the ducks immediately jumped into their pool, the zoo’s communications office says. The beavers stopped eating, stood up and looked around for a minute, and then they also got into the water. All the animals stayed in the water throughout the quake, and the beavers got out and resumed their lunch about an hour later.

The apes abandoned their food, too, and climbed to the top of their habitat. The cuttlefish, a clever cephalopod, was distracted by waves in its normally calm tank. And the aforementioned elephant shrew hid in his habitat and refused to come out for feeding time. Even the snakes were nervous, writhing around when they would normally be sleeping.

Interesting, I was wondering the same thing. I heard a blurb on the news about how the entire east coast of America is on on large solid rock, with little or no fault lines all the way up and down. Whereas on the West coast, there are faultlines everywhere that sort of divides the area up. Meaning, that when there is an earthquake in, LA, lets say,, the vibrations will be stifled by the fault lines that surround that immediate area, and will not travel too much further. On the East coast, it is one big rock that is reverberating intensely, with a smaller earthquake, because it is one big rock. I have not researched the matter, but that is what was said on the news.
