Words of true wisdom, and tough Love from Lord Jesus:
For this people's heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.
But blessed are your eyes because they see,
and your ears because they hear.

The greatest of all religious teaching is inside you, in your Heart. You can discover your treasure using love and awareness to awake yourself. This process of awakening to our true identity is taking place in a state beyond duality known as mystic trance or samadhi (trance, that state of mind which remains with its object without distractions; super-conscious state, ecstasy, meditative or concentrative absorption, union).

HOME a film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand
http://www.youtube.com/homeproject
We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth's climate.
The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being.
For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because Home is a non-profit film

"Do not take life's experiences too seriously. Above all, do not let them hurt you, for in reality they are nothing but dream experiences....If circumstances are bad and you have to bear them, do not make them a part of yourself. Play your part in life, but never forget it is only a role. What you lose in the world will not be a loss to your soul. Trust in God and destroy fear, which paralyzes all efforts to succeed and attracts the very thing you fear."

The late Ramesh Balsakar (Enlightened Advaita teacher), who was Nasargadatta's translator, had a picture of Ramana whom he said Namaste to before the start of a seminar I was fortunate enough to be at.
On asked why he had his picture he answered that "Ramana is the Gurus Guru"
The term "Self realization" is miss-leading as it gives the impression that realization was earned or caused by the self.
The self can work towards it but it is by the Grace of God that the self dissolves and is replaced by the God-realized Self.
We all have the essence of God-realization within us but it is an entirely different state.
Nearest example is that there is little similarity between life experienced as a caterpillar and life experienced as a butterfly.
This is why the enlightened sage says that the state can not be spoken of. It is purely subjective and not within the ability of the non enlightened to understand or make intellectual sense of it.

In India this science of continuous repetition of a spiritual thought is known as Japa Yoga; in the West is called practicing the presence of God. Affirmations repeated over and over with concentration and will power sink into the subconscious and superconscious minds, which respond by creating the very conditions we are affirming.

I think he was saying that followers of them wouldn't like it that anyone can connect with them. This is completely incorrect they are omnipresent and here for all human kind not just devotees.

Hi Kriya and Dan.
I havent listened to the talk yet but speaking generally.
I only really take on board spiritual teaching from those who are enlightened and therefore living the Truth.
Many good teachers speak about the truth but the energy transference is not the same as that inherent in listening to or reading the word coming directly from Truth.
Extreme discernment is needed if ones personal path is enlightenment.
Distraction or half truth is of no use.
The enlightenment path is straight and narrow.
DH who is enlightened to the highest level writes that at this time the chances of Enlightenment are 1000 times greater than at any time in human history and therefore many will be enlightened.
He also says that at present (thats several years ago so there will be more now) only 35 are in the state of enlightenment.
In every book about an enlightened being there will be an account of the process of changing from the ordinary state to enlightenment. There will be a before during and after account. The initial change is rapid ( God shock) then the state matures. That sometimes requiring leaving society for some time. States of bliss make it impossible to function in any normal way.
Eckhart Tolle spent two years just sitting on a bench in London.
Dr David Hawkins spent 7 years in solitude, as the state of enlightenment matured, an ashram for one he called it.
Ramana was speechless for years and needed looked after.
So if you truly really want enlightenment why waste time on the spiritual circus when the truth has always been freely available, well the cost of a book.
You are in safe hands so to speak with those I have mentioned --- the real deal, in modern parlance.
Also of course Yogananda, Nasargadatta and other Indian enlightened sages.
The ascended masters and those in embodiment as you said Kriya are omnipresent and available to all.
To be clear other teacher like Ester Hick ( Abraham channeling) are excellent if the goal is to benefit from very useful spiritual teaching.
Enlightenment is a very specific goal and not to be taken on lightly.
From page 153 "Discovery of the presence of God" Dr David Hawkins.
"Once one gets the fire in the belly, the urge to reach God becomes like a drivenness or relentless drive or even in the eyes of the world a madness.
from that moment on, there is no patience for amusement or diversion.
It depends on decision, will, the level of consciousness, and karmic propensities.
As it gets more intense, the love for God and of God allows no delays."
On a lighter note
Ramesh Balsakar said
"If you can choose between wining a million pound and enlightenment, take the money as at least there will be some one left to enjoy it."
Thats very deep and requires thought.

Then please do listen Chris, and check the website yourself.
One thing I can tell you my friend, you will only find 'truth' if you connect with your 'higher self'.
No one on this earth (in physical body) knows the 'absolute truth', even if they call themselves 'enlightened'. Please don't let yourself be deceived my friend...

Oh Dan
Thats the whole point, Higher Self is enlightenment.
Iv listened to both videos they are fine but full of unnecessary language.
He certainly is not coming from an enlightened energy but a good place for all that.
With respect Ive spent 35 years on the "path" and been up all the allyways that educate but come to a dead end eventually.
I now know the real from the unreal as far as teachers go.
Hawkins for example has realized higher Self and is Higher Self, is omnipresent, non-dualstic and all that, is no longer in body but speaks through the form that he once was.
His higher Self is the same higher Self that you are.
Absolute truth is, Only God is.
He became all that is without diminishing Himself.
What I posted is from the context of the path of enlightenment, that does not invalidate other paths.
Its like the magnifying glass when it focuses the suns rays precisely it is very powerful and concentrated.
It was necessary for me to go through many enlightened teachers but the focus was identical the Truth the same, just expressed differently.
Yoganada expressing the same as Hawkins.
Any non-enlightened teacher expressing the truth about enlightenment will take you so far, but to get to the peak of human spiritual endeavor, enlightenment, you need to listen to one who is there, not some one half way up the mountain.
The energy is totally different, a vast difference in vibration.
The self of the enlightened teacher, is to be clear, your Higher Self. The teacher is the same as the taught. He reminds you of what you already are.
Love Chris

A lovely story
As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.
Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles;
an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.
But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.
I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares.Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened.
My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.
Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.
My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.
And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.
An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, 'Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.
Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.'
May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!
God determines who walks into your life ...it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'
Love C

Do Not Accept Your Bad Karma
Deny Karma. Too many people misinterpret the meaning of karma, adopting a fatalistic attitude. You do not have to accept karma. If I tell you that somebody is standing behind you ready to hurt you because you once hit him, and you meekly say "Well, it's my karma", and wait for him to strike you, of course you will get a blow! Why don't you try to mollify him? By pacifying him you may lessen his bitterness and remove his desire to strike you.
When you realize yourself as a child of God, what karma have you? God has no karma. And you have none, when you KNOW you are a His child. Every day you should affirm "I am not a mortal being, I am not the body, I am a child of God". That is practicing the presence of God. God is free from karma. You are made in His image. You also are free of karma

In the midst of all crises, affirm with deep conviction, "Lord, I can succeed, for You are in me." Then set your will on trying to find a solution. You will see that in mysterious ways the Divine Power is helping you. While making your best effort, keep your mind in attunement with the inner Source of strength and guidance by affirming, "Lord, Thy will be done, not mine." That is the secret.
Now matter what happens, constantly look to the bright side: "Never mind, soon things will be better." By God's grace that is something I always have: Hope. I never allow myself to become depressed. But I had to work at developing this, and all of you should do the same. Some people have the tendency to look always to the dark side of a situation. Invariably, their reactions to suggestions or conditions is on of negation or fear or pessimism. Scan your conduct every day, and if you catch yourself thinking or behaving in this way, remind yourself that this is the wrong attitude; it destroys peace, happiness, and constructive will. Yes, there is evil in this world; in the realm of duality there cannot be light without dark, joy without sorrow, health without sickness, life without death. But to dwell constantly on the negative side is an insult to the soul and to God. Never give in to discouragement!

Peace is found in surrender to good through devotion.
People who are loving, who practice stillness, who
delight in meditation and good actions, are really
peaceful. Peace is the altar of God, the condition in
which happiness exists.

So true Kriya.
It seems a shame that some have a fear of loosing their sovereignty if they surrender to God, yet this is where peace reigns.
An enlightened priest, Anthony De Mello, taught people to meditate and though few of them had any mind blowing experiences in meditation, all without exception had a massive improvement in their health well being and peace of mind, Its in his book Awareness, keeps one looking young too.
Eckhart Tolle is 63 you would never think of it to look at him.
Keep up the great work Kriya

You must be stronger than the thoughts and suggestions constantly vibrating from other people. That is the way to conquer wrong vibrations that come into you enviroment.
Think of God as your enviroment. Be one with God and nothing can harm you.

The 12 Principles of Attitudinal Healing ~ by Dr. Gerald Jampolsky based on A Course In Miracles
~ a way to see differently ~ not a quick fix but a process to apply to any situation that ultimately brings peace of mind.
1 The essence of our being is love.
2 Health is inner peace. Healing is letting go of fear.
3 Giving and receiving are the same.
4 We can let go of the past and of the future.
5 Now is the only time there is and each instant is for giving.
6 We can learn to love ourselves and others by forgiving rather than judging.
7 We can become love-finders rather than fault-finders.
8 We can choose and direct ourselves to be peaceful inside
regardless of what is happening outside.
9 We are students and teachers to each other.
10 We can focus on the whole of life rather than the fragments.
11 Since love is eternal, death need not be viewed as fearful.
12 We can always perceive ourselves and others as either extending love
or giving a call for help.

The sole purpose of creation is to compel you to solve its mystery and perceive God behind all. He wants you to forget everything else and to seek Him alone.
It does not matter whether or not one fully comprehends the day-to-day enigmas of life. What is important is to be resolute in the search for the True Happiness, the Joy that is the origin of one’s being…strive unceasingly until the exalted inner state is reached wherein the little self transcends all mental circumscriptions of body-consciousness, creed, and race and merges as the greater Self into universal brotherhood with all life; and thence attains everlasting union with the One Life.

Dear Avalonians,
On sunday I'm off to LA to the Self Realization World Convocation, where along with 4000 other Yogananda devotees I shall enjoy a week of fellowship with my spiritual family. I have to tell you I'm absolutely beside myself with excitement, it promises to be an extraordinary week one I have been longing to do for at least 10 years. It has been made possible by my parents who upon asking me where I would like to go to celebrate my 40th (they're paying) I said LA of course.
I therefore won't be updating this thread for a while, so please feel free to contribute to this spritual diary.
Love to you all, and in case your curious this is what I'm up to http://www.yogananda-srf.org/tmp/centers.aspx?id=86

If You Want His Answer
Whether He replies or not,
Keep calling Him_
Ever calling in the chamber
Of continuous prayer.
Whether He comes or not,
Believe He is ever approaching
Nearer to you
With each command of your heart's love.
Whether He answers or not,
Keep entreating Him.
Even if He makes no reply
In the way you expect,
Ever know that in some subtle way
He will respond.
In the darkness of your deepest prayers,
Know that with you He is playing
Hide-and-seek.
And in the midst of the dance of life,
disease and death,
If you keep calling Him,
Undepressed by His seeming silence,
You will receive His answer.

I recently met Walter Cruttenden at the SRF world convocation and he gave me a copy of his book:
http://www.world-mysteries.com/lost_star.jpg
So if you are interested in the precession of the equinox, etc.......Lost Star of Myth and Time weaves together some of the latest archaeological evidence with cutting-edge astronomy to reveal a history of the world that finally fits with myth, folklore and the archaeological record. While this book explores some of the most interesting aspects of a once advanced civilization that covered the Earth, it is really about what happens to the Earth and consciousness as our solar system moves through space in the mysterious motion known as the "precession of the equinox". This astronomical phenomenon has since Newton been attributed to local gravitational forces wobbling the Earth s axis. Lost Star now shows us in no uncertain terms that the Earth s axis does not change orientation relative to objects inside the solar system at the same rate that it changes orientation to objects outside the solar system, meaning precession must be due to our Sun s binary motion around another star.
Please do buy his book.
He also produced and wrote the documentary The Great Year, narrated by James Earl Jones, which is also worth a watch.

'Because the material body is a condensation of the multicolored rays of light of the living-giving astral body, color is important in your life. The point is, you are affected by color because colors are manifestations of specific vibrations. You should always try to wear, and to surround yourself with, colors that are harmonious to your nature. And for the reasons I have mentioned, gold, blue and white are good for the nervous system. Of course, for a change you should use other colors as well. But generally, it is good to have some of these particularly benificial colors around you.

Find a place to sit, inside or outside.
1. Close your eyes and relax.
2. Breathe in deeply through your nose.
3. Feel the air fill your stomach.
4. Exhale slowly your mouth slowly.
5. Chant or sing a sound like HUM.
6. Create the doorway or image in your third
eye.
7. Know that Spirit will protect you.
8. Allow twenty minutes.
9. Write down any feelings or thoughts when
you are done.
10. Do it the same time everyday.
11. Know that spirit will be waiting.
12. Be honest to yourself and spirit.
13. Know that in forty days you will have an
experience.
14. Know that this is the key to all the worlds
of God.
15. We all need this experience to truly
understand God.
16. If something does not feel right change it.
17. You can challenge anything during the
exercise in the name of God if it doesn’t
feel right

From Sri Ramana Gita, chapter 5, verses 13-17: Sri Ramana Bhagavan
13. It is said that the heart is in the microcosm just as the orb of the sun is in the macrocosm. The mind in Sahasrara is like the disc of the moon.
14. Just as the sun gives light to the moon this heart bestows the effulgence on the mind.
15. As in the night when the sun is not present, one sees the light in the moon, the man who is not present in the heart, sees merely the mind.
16. Without seeing the origin of light, the true origin of one's Self, the ordinary man sees by the mind different things and is deluded.
17. The Jnanin present in the heart sees the mind merged in the light of the heart, like the moonlight in the presence of the sun during the day

SAMADHI
Vanished the veils of light and shade,
Lifted every vapor of sorrow,
Sailed away all dawns of fleeting joy,
Gone the dim sensory mirage.
Love, hate, health, disease, life, death,
Perished these false shadows on the screen of duality.
Waves of laughter, scyllas of sarcasm, melancholic whirlpools,
Melting in the vast sea of bliss.
The storm of maya stilled
By magic wand of intuition deep.
The universe, forgotten dream, subconsciously lurks,
Ready to invade my newly wakened memory divine.
I live without the cosmic shadow,
But it is not, bereft of me;
As the sea exists without the waves,
But they breathe not without the sea.
Dreams, wakings, states of deep turiya sleep,
Present, past, future, no more for me,
But ever-present, all-flowing I, I, everywhere.
Planets, stars, stardust, earth,
Volcanic bursts of doomsday cataclysms,
Creation's molding furnace,
Glaciers of silent x-rays, burning electron floods,
Thoughts of all men, past, present, to come,
Every blade of grass, myself, mankind,
Each particle of universal dust,
Anger, greed, good, bad, salvation, lust,
I swallowed, transmuted all
Into a vast ocean of blood of my own one Being!
Smoldering joy, oft-puffed by meditation
Blinding my tearful eyes,
Burst into immortal flames of bliss,
Consumed my tears, my frame, my all.
Thou art I, I am Thou,
Knowing, Knower, Known, as One!
Tranquilled, unbroken thrill, eternally living, ever new peace!
Enjoyable beyond imagination of expectancy, samadhi bliss!
Not a mental chloroform
Or unconscious state without wilful return,
Samadhi but extends my conscious realm
Beyond the limits of the mortal frame
To farthest boundary of eternity
Where I, the Cosmic Sea,
Watch the little ego floating in me.
The sparrow, each grain of sand, fall not without my sight.
All space like an iceberg floats within my mental sea.
Colossal Container, I, of all things made.
By deeper, longer, thirsty, guru-given meditation
Comes this celestial samadhi
Mobile murmurs of atoms are heard,
The dark earth, mountains, vales, lo! molten liquid!
Flowing seas change into vapors of nebulae!
Aum blows upon the vapors, opening wondrously their veils,
Oceans stand revealed, shining electrons,
Till, at last sound of the cosmic drum,
Vanish the grosser lights into eternal rays
Of all-pervading bliss.
From joy I came, for joy I live, in sacred joy I melt.
Ocean of mind, I drink all creation's waves.
Four veils of solid, liquid, vapor, light,
Lift aright.
Myself, in everything, enters the Great Myself.
Gone forever, fitful, flickering shadows of mortal memory.
Spotless is my mental sky, below, ahead, and high above.
Eternity and I, one united ray.
A tiny bubble of laughter, I
Am become the Sea of Mirth Itself

The one true path goes towards the inside, the thing is that in order to walk that path, one must be willing to relinquish the temporary so called achievements of this world.
Now, Im not against material progress but, those who truly wish to understand who and what they are, must walk the ever fascinating and sometimes lonely path of ones inner self.
When you have achieved the goal evrything seems so simple and all pieces fall into place.

Sent to me today by my beautiful friend Evelyn, had to pass it along:
When brothers or sisters attack you they are subconsciously asking for love. They might not ever believe this, but I know in your heart you understand what it is I am sharing with you. This is one of the reasons you and those living in the light should try to be more patient with angry brothers or sisters. These angry brothers or sisters are lost. They are feeling bad about themselves and taking it out on you. They take it out on you because they believe that you are the easier target. They could not take it out on God because lost brothers or sisters usually have a fear of God.
The next time a brother or sister who is ruled by the ego attacks you, consider that he or she is simply asking for love. He or she is a lost soul asking you for direction. Would you lead him or her toward more darkness or toward the light? This is the choice you make every time you react to a lost brother or sister.
Understand that the choice you make will bring you closer to the place you send him or her. Lead him or her toward darkness, and you too shall experience the darkness. Lead him or her toward light, and you too shall experience the light.

I was thirsty
when I asked for water or even wine
they gave me vinegar
when I gave them life
I'm not these wounds you see nor the words you hear
but the longing in the lovers everywhere

"All Travelers"
We are loving souls who are here for mutual benefit.
It is to our advantage to be more tolerant of the differences;
we are more alike than different.
We are all travelers of the greater whole,
each a teacher and a student for another.

It`s God`s miracle to be one and to feel singular if we wish.
Meaning to absorb the experience from all angles...
This old thread is full of gems and good vibes!
Thank you Kriya wherever you are for starting this .

Life is a continuous storyboard
Illusion is when one believes s/he must engage
In a life-palette creating sub-plots of material
