this was indeed a prank and the people of this community were a little annoyed that the officer contributed to this hoax while he was on the job. You can tell the video is fishy, because anyone in the states that has had this kind of run in with the police, knows they don't need a warrent to search your car. probably cause is all they need. and instead of fits of verbal outrage they just pull people out of the car and dig thier knees into the back of your neck. No yelling necessary.

I could almost swear that was my husband playing the role of the cop, he reacts the same exact way when he doesn't get his way to. lol.

If this was a real cop I would still laugh because of the childish behavior the cops portrays.

I just wanted to add that I don't condone the actions of these officers. They have enough bad press as it is. It doesn't make sense for them to be goofing around in a way which will make people hate them more, and to make it public on youtube.

Look at the clip one more time my friend, How the police booth times sneaks up behind the car, so the driver cant get a clear shot at him. And you got flashing lights at the front of his car and at the roof.

Listen to his voice...and the radio he talks in... It's a overkill joke to me if it is a joke.

I guess the more proper word for me to use would have been "prank" instead of "hoax. Here is the original comment from the video uploader in the video information section on youtube.


*** This video is not fake it was a "prank" the police officers did. I would like to know the police officers names if anyone knows? This happened in West Virginia. Yes it's a "funny" prank but we need to know why these officers were in uniform and were they on the clock? Why were they using police cars paid for by the taxpayers? Why were they turning on their overhead lights when there's no real emergency? Were they punished by their department?

I received an email and I'm told one of the cops in the video is Officer Nathan Boron. He is a St. Marys city police officer in Pleasants County West Virginia

More proof can be found in the officer adjusting the camera, and the footage not having a time stamp. The dash cam in police vehicles is not adjustable that way, and shows timestamps when recording.

As far as the way the officer moves up to the car - he is following basic training to add realism to his prank video I suppose.

And about the radio he talks in, you don't really hear the sounds we are accustomed to from a police radio conversation. 10-4.

I was just thinking if this was a real cop, maybe this is is way of rebelling against what is going on the system without getting popped and fired.
The best way to change the system is to change it from within.
Shoot i have three friends in the military doing the same thing, working from within.

If he wanted to search, I sure as hell don't know why he let him slide on the speeding. The whole thing is weird, prank or no prank. Makes you think.

IMO it was NOT funny....I didn't laugh. If these guys thought it was humourous to portray an officer of the law as an undisciplined representative of said law, then it's pathetic. Funny would have been the cop wearing a clown costume as he was doing his job. THAT, I would have laughed at....

Prank or not I make sure I'm "legal" at all times driving or I try to be. Seat belt on,registration and insurance papers ready and I do let them search my car if they ask. I've had a few run in's with them,the police, back in my "asleep" days. They are pretty darn good at kicking you in the back of the head with your hands and feet cuffed behind your back while laying on the floor.....
