On Friday, August 26, 2011, a group of New Yorkers were startled to see multiple UFOs hovering in the dark night sky above New York City. This UFO sighting took place just one day before Hurricane Irene was expected to wreak havoc on the area.

The witnesses observed at least 8-10 UFOs high above the city. One of the men was able to capture the sight on video. The unidentified flying objects seemed to remain nearly stationary for the entire length of the video, nearly three minutes, but there is some slight movement overhead.

Each UFO seems to be glowing with a bright white light. They appear to be orbs or spheres, and their lights constantly blink or flicker

Wow! This one looks quite real to me! Chinese lanterns don´t blink or disappear like that!

Awesome! I remember that night very well... My birthday was on that day of this video, it was definitely a clear night here in NY and i was doing a little stargazing as i often do when its clear out at night. I did not see this, but wished i had. Looks very authentic to me. I did not observe any Chinese lanterns that nite floating around in the summer sky. Then again i haven't ever seen any chinese lanters in New York City for 49 years. Great Video OP. Thanks.

But they do! thats what chinese lanterns do.
The general rule is they appear over the horizon and they blink and fizzle and float away into the distance,eventually burning out and disappearing.
In the above vid its being suggested that they are stationary but if you use the building on the right as your focal point you will see that they travel a considerable distance into the sky in the space of three minutes and then more come floating up on the left from wherever...

Can i also point out i have seen many UFO videos that turn out to be chinese lanterns.I think this one was worth a viewing cause my opinion they are different, xx
