BAE Systems’s Adaptiv technology enables objects as big as tanks to completely vanish from view–when seen at night with an infrared sensor, admittedly, but that’s still a major advantage. An Adaptiv-outfitted tank can change its thermal signature to look like anything from a big rock to a truck to nothing at all, fading into the background and becoming invisible.

i have a friend who recently was medically retired from the army but is still in touch with his army mates. One recently came back from war games in canada and told my friend that one day whilst on exercise he saw a tank become invisible in broad daylight, he said you could still hear it and see the exhaust but not the tank.

The Predator movies come to life. I wonder if that was the inspiration for this technology?

Tip of the iceberg stuff.....
Imagine what they have that never sees the light of day in our media

Bullets will still ricochet off the hull.
There is this technique called reconnaissance by fire, where you fire into an area that you think is occupied to see if anyone fires back, but you can also use it to hit the hull of a vehicle that has disappeared from view, into trees or behind smoke.
You see the rounds go in all directions and you know there is something there, so you give it a round from the main gun.

This is yet another disgraceful example of human intelligence being subverted to serve the Janus-headed god of slaughter and carnage. Will the researchers who are capable of such an achievement ever say "No" and simply refuse to advance the cause and ease the means of warfare? What exactly is the irresistible allure of prestige and career, when calculated human deaths are likely to be the
result of one's work? I am no Luddite and I am not naive, but this insanity must end.

This is really interesting.

There are a lot o videos about it on youtube, like this:

Note from the uploader:
One of the labs in the University of Tokyo uploaded some interesting videos several years ago, so I compiled them.
This technology involves neither chroma-keying nor photoshopping but is so to speak "quasi-invisibility" using a specific fabric and projector.

I think that, if the military use some kind of mapped projection device over their vehicles, using the image captured from the background, they would become quite invisible during the day, and, if they merge it with this new infra-red invisibility technology, they will be invisible at night too.

For those who don´t know mapped projection, it´s a kind of projection pre-calculated over 3D objects to eliminate distortions, like this:

Recently, on a clear night, there was a helicopter above me - but i couldn't see it at all.
Not the tiniest trace of it against the night sky; nothing whatsoever [not even 'predator'-like].
Even thought about a sound-only projection (but what for).
Was in a parking lot.
Had 5 [non-]witnesses (=people who also saw nothing).

Spooky technology. More potential for "invasion" of privacy. More intricate ways to kill people and they won't even know what hit them.
I withhold my applause. At one time I would have thought this would have been cool and exciting. It's not....It just reminds me of
how much money is spent for war efforts. NOTHING is being spent on bringing about peace....or making Earth a better place to live....

If we at the beginning of the 21 century have this ability to cloak tanks, air craft, etc, I can just imagine what other technologies the Powers at "B" have cloaked from us.

For many years I have assumed that alien space craft are all around our skies, however they are just cloaked when pleasurably flying about teh planet looking to abduct some more zoo specimens.

Plus, I have seen chem trail plane that have been spraying while cloaked. By that ...I have seen a chem trail being laid down in the clear blue sky, with the plane being absent from sight.

Gary A,
I've seen that a couple of times, too!
Once I even saw a plane with something invisble flying in front of it, like it was making a path through the clouds. It was weird....
