I just ran across a great little article about beer baths in the Ukraine. At the Medobory Sanatorium, they specialize in beer baths, bee stings, cupping, and mustard poultice. Just to name a few. Apparently the treatments are a hit most people there are repeat customers. Don't know if i could do a beer bath, the bee stings are completely out of the question. I thought cupping was bondage play.

Its probably a bit safer than getting pushed some "super pack" antibiotics, and how nice would that be the doctor prescribes a day at the spa, with a nice massage, mustard treatment, and finishes with a warm beer bath.

A fun thread, Davy! We find there IS a use for warm beer.

I have heard of people getting bee sting treatment to relieve arthritis pain. I would have to wonder whether the treatment hurts more than the arthritis... but some folks feel it's worthwhile, I believe the effects last for awhile.

I have used a mustard poultice to ward off a cold... better than an antibiotic, as you say.
