Hi I live in the Canary Islands and have occasionally responded on, and to threads that have related to and around the subject of one of our Islands: La Palma; breaking in two and causing Tsunami. About three weeks ago a Forum member flagged up the Earthquakes that my neighbouring Island has been experiencing here..El Hierro, and I promised to keep an update.

I promised this because unlike speculation and prediction of future events, I really need to let you know that this IS ACTUALLY happening here.

From July 18 to this very day, there have been 6804 Earthquakes centred around a specific point on the Island. There have been a further 99 today. Up until more or less 2 days ago, none went above 2. Today they have been as much as 2.7....doesn't sound much though,,..does it ? On the other hand,,,, the constant 'chip chip chip away' syndrome 6804 times on an Island with 500 Volcanoes is starting to rattlling a few nerves.

Pevolca The Scientific Committee, met this morning at the request of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Security of the Canary Islands Government, decided to relocate the population of El Hierro directly, the most important conclusions from information gathered by seismic and volcanic National Geographic Institute (IGN) and the Institute of the Canary Islands volcanological (non-tip) on the earthquakes recorded on the island since last July.

For this design a specific communication plan which will include, among others, technicians and scientists from this committee, coordinated by the City Council of El Hierro, the spokesperson continues to assume given the green light situation in pre-alert, of peace for the population.

The pre-alert state is triggered given the time duration of this series and seismic in order to increase coordination between the institutions involved and the level of information to citizens who are beginning to view with concern a situation that qualifies the Scientific Committee "normal" given the volcanic Canary Islands

The Scientific Committee comprises, in addition to the Canary Islands Government, the National Geographic Institute, the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Meteorological Agency, and the invitation of the Director Plan, on this occasion, the City Council of The Iron, the Cabildo of Tenerife and the Canary Institute of volcanological

This is being played down so much, it is surreal.. Not even the British Press of whom love to dish up horror and doom for breakfast are not enlightening the Tourists before they arrive of the Perils of taking a break in the Sun..There is no chatter about this VERY REAL unique consistancy taking place

I really don't know what else to tell you. For years eyes, speculation, etc, have been focused on La Palma..and now there are evacuation and relocation plans for an Island being put into place.

Doesn't the retraction waves, depending on the magnitude of the splash into the ocean, then return to the very scene of the crime/chipoff? I live away from the coast, about 5 kilolmeters inland. There are no guarantees as to when this will happen or how or what warnings, if any, will be given. Off the Island is not an option as I live here alone with two children that I am responsible for and We have No family to go to. No means of finances that would allow us to go to a safer location for an undetermined amount of time, with No means of providing the basics such as food and water for my children if we got there,,, I spread the word, get labeled as 'whacky' because they have not seen it in the newspapers or on the television, so therefore it must not be true....etc..In essence the reality of everything coming full circle in the whole debate of all and everything from Disasters to Rothschild to Federal Reserve to War to the reality under the system that we live, is money..Disasters need it, the Rothschilds Shield it, the Federal Reseve breed it, and war just recycles it.... No matter where we are we need it to survive. To make my point...even a Bug out Bag suggets that you carry it. If You had to 'go' you may be more fortunate than I. mmmmmm...me thinks that the very first reason for not going public was purely money. The Canary Islands have little to NO commerce/manufacturing. The Islands are solely reliant on Tourism. The Islands belong to the Province of Spain...we would, in a way...balance their books....
Then again....look how Europe came to a grinding halt last year with the Volcano in Iceland...it was an....inconvenience...to announce this little hidden gem might wake too many people up all at once and make them self aware. The instinct of awareness combined by the self awareness, would of course, encourage even the most ardent of sheeple to blink, perhaps for even just a moment..

I have heard this many times before. Many times. Infact, sometime when a Tourist walks into my shop and asks about Island Information and the History... I explain that the Islands have a great deal of History with battles and wars and all are true...however, I inform them, that the only 'Legend' told was that between my Island of Tenerife and other Islands is said to lie the lost Atlantis and that one day the local 'Legend' here is that it will rise again.
Did you know that Hitler and one of his aids that were so obsessed with the Aerean race that there obsession led them to explore these Islands for the very same city and Aerean traits. Winston Churchill also made a visit to our Island here, during wartime. The Islands to this day still have very old, very well establised communities and even have their own school system....just saying :)

From what I understood of the situation is that a piece of El Hierro already slid down a long time ago and there was no evidence of the other side sliding down which is not the case for La Palma and the Cumbre Vieja which apparently is ready to go; hence all the monitoring on it.

If located on the east side of the bigger islands to the east, there are greater odds not to be flooded...

It is also possible that you'll get a new volcano on El Hierro?

Thats rights, a very long time ago,/ in our perspective of time / El Hierro rapidly reduced in size. Cumbre Vieja is indeed a huge concern particularly as the amount of energy accumulated in Joules in self fueling and compounding itself on an hourly basis - magma is rising. As for the constant trickle of shaking...Its a bit like a builder getting ahold of a Toffee Hammer to knock down a wall. He has to consistantly and constantly keeping tapping along the mortar line on a regular basis; with not very much effort I might add - and then when the crack appears, just give it a good kick and it will take itself down. La Palma however, just needs one or two jolly good drop kicks from a short distance run... :)

The East coast here is my best bet, but guaranteed accidents through sheer panic, volume of traffic, and selfishness of others on the Motorway would very quickly lead to the roads becoming blocked. For me, the only place is UP...and quickly :)

Randles, understood all of what you said. on a rational basis without fear , if an event like this took place and did indeed create a tsunami with a major hit in the millions would the question be ? will this change the world and the way we live as we know it?? possibly, Your also right Randle this would be a death nail to the island and it's tourism for the islands and spain if this was to get into the worldwide media, were just little fish here on this site, actually like guppies. my gut feeling is what your trying to tell all of us is that yes this is significant because when you do a search on the USGS geological site for quakes you are telling us that is happening there are none showing up, thats a big red flag for me and more ,like a rocket with a flare.

In regards to an unrelated/related situation of a troubled europe that is on a bubble including spain, I heard on the radio here in michigan a few weeks ago that 1/2 of all of americans 401k retirement is invested in europe and now that makes all the sense in the world why there is so much attention on greece, spain, ect. financially here in the states and on the media, if an event happens manmade or natural and causes a financial collapse this will trickle around the world. So I guess what i'm saying is having an added threat as to a huge tsunami from a quake or volcano on your island is a wild trump card out there all the way around. Is there anything you need in particular for you and your children randle, perhaps a few of us could ship you something and lend a hand. ??

You know something ?? I am at a place here in my life where I am at peace with myself. My children are happy and enjoy their lives. If it is Mother Nature working her magic...then whatever will be..WILL be. And there is nothing that You or I can do about it. If it is manmade, then I hope that God does NOT take pity on them. Regardless of each of our Geographical locations we will all be affected. Some more than others. I do not fear it, what is the point.. I am grateful for each and every day here on this Earth and If and When something happens, I will continue to walk barefoot on the sand from time to time, stare up at the beautiful Chemtrail free skies, and stare at the mountains in compete awe of how beautiful Mother Nature really is :)

A bit off topic, just an innocent question. Have you heard about the eight Canary island called San Borondon, which in reality is a recycling module of the subterranean base between Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma and Hierro. As I know the friends from various places were there (or still are) trying to control and neutralize seismic events with a high tech magma control. I know quite a number of people from the islands who were inside the base and in a constant contact with their inhabitants. It's going on from the seventies, when there was a great event in a Ucanca valley bellow Teide mountain.
