I've found out the more spiritual you become it seems to effect your 5 basic senses or at least it does to me. From week to week a "knowing" seems to have fallen over me. It's hard to explain but I will try. About the last month or so I started having a "feeling" come over me that I can only describe as "sweet" it's like I could look at a person and see who their are by their actions not judging the person only their actions. I happen to be watching the news yesterday and U.S. Senator from South Carolina Lindsey Graham was on talking about how we needed to leave more troops in Iraq then we already have over there. Does that not speak volumes ? Iraq was and is a lie. Ruby Giuliani was another running his mouth the same way Lindsey Graham was. Both are sellouts and IMO know the whole Iraq/911 stuff is bogus. With them the first thing that came that came to mind was the word warmonger which both are. Now on a closer to home note . Without going into detail my friend who's having a bad way at home with her 37 year old son who abuses her and calls her some serious bad names. She knows what to do with him but she can't let go. She told me she wished she could win the lottery and then it was like I could hear her saying " that way I could move away from "Mike", her son, and start over" It was like I could actually hear her say that but she didn't. I don't know if I explained myself where you can understand but I understand. I crave fresh foods and water now. I take it we all have the "knowing" in our own unique way......

As you become more spiritual you become more of who you truly are. Which is much more expansive than the ego based self. Part of that expansiveness is becoming more perceptive.

Hi Truth4me,
I enjoyed reading your post. I believe we all have the "knowing" but it is a soft whisper and the ego has a way of yelling over it.
I experience the knowing in many ways In my opinion it is a combination of the mind picking up on subtle clues in others, (words, facial expressions, body language etc.) in conjunction with the TRUE knowing.
For me the knowing is a feeling and it involves images that flash in my mind showing insight into the true nature of the person it is related to. It seems automatic and can happen during a chance encounter while holding a door for someone or sitting and talking with a life-long friend. I assume that we all have our own version of "knowng" and yours is audible "It was like I could actually hear her say that but she didn't."
Thank you for sharing and allowing me to reflect on the knowing for myself. Day to day life has a way of making you forget how special our skills are.

ok so she didn't say it out loud, yet you heard her thoughts.
Now that you know what is on your friend's mind
you can use your knowing to guide her to see
why she is still stuck in that relationship with her son.
Maybe those two have to work something out?
Maybe all your friend needs to do is FACE her son with full eye contact
and see him as a soul, without fear of abuse. Free from all other baggage..
He obviously is stuck in a pattern of mistreating women since early childhood
and maybe aware of it, but can't help himself.
And maybe you are her friend so that you can
help her with this.
Once she understands what changes she needs to make then her son will follow suit as well.
