Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I didn't even know such a project was taking place.
I can't wait to see some images from this beauty.. After reading up on the telecope a bit I clicked on a video of one of the mirrors being uncased and moved into it's place.
This next part is a true testament to my own "programming". As I watched the techs, so focused and intense, I couldn't help but imagine a TV "Soccer mom" walking into the shot with some windex and a roll of paper towels... and some cheezy tag line like "If your mirror was going to be sent into orbit 1,000,000 miles from earth wouldn't you want a perfect streak free shine"
UGH! I know it's silly but I have been over here smiling about it for the last 5 minutes.

I'm betting they still won't point it at anything extraordinary or revealing. Most interesting though. Thanks for the notice.
