Oh, and of course as it always happens, it occurs to me after I post that I should drop all the pieces and let them fall. They will make a complete picture all by themselves.

Dangit, Me, when am I going to Trust. Really. Let it go, there is no reason to try to keep a firm grip on each piece and have my brain trying to figure out where each piece goes. It already knows...

Yep, I'm Inside...Finding Trust.

It's Okay...

I see no fault in what he says.

It must be tempered with the understanding that the mystics and the alchemists and the Egyptian priests and Pharaohs, the Judaic priests, and so on, they were all in full knowledge and of full mind and being, BEFORE they tried this. do not attempt to jump to a new plateau that you are not capable of reaching, as the time in training and pre-knowlege has not been completed. complete the self work, then make the attempt.

My recipe of monatomic silver production on a day to day consumption regimen....does seem to help inch it into being, so one can, over time, get a gentle peek under the edge of the cloak, over a period of months.

Valle...thanks for the chuckle :)

My new avatar is an enneagram. Nine-pointed star. I found it on the web, and then colored it in.

I was first introduced to the enneagram when I found the Gurdjieff teachings in 1979, after watching the movie "Meetings with Remarkable Men". Reading lots of books in those days, including numerology books, I decided that there is great importance in the number nine.
All of that led me to study astrology, which raised my understanding of previously unexplainable events and phenomena in my life. Then in 1983 I found the Baha'i teachings, which inform humanity of a major system change and to elect nine member councils to guide all local communities, worldwide, to replace malfunctioning municipalities when the SHTF.
Since the teachings came out of Persia, they have been passed through Muslim culture, although a large part goes totally against Muslim culture which explains why Baha'is are being persecuted and even killed in Muslim countries to this day.
Anyway, the number nine is the number Baha'ul'llah gave for his followers, so for me going from Gurdjieff's teachings to Bahai teachings seemed a logical step.
A consultative body of nine members which seeks consensus but will settle with a majority vote of five against four, also still seems the ideal number of people to do problem solving brainstorming.

An even number of members could end in a tie vote, hence not practical. Five or seven members are to few to allow for the diversity of opinions, while 11, 13 or more are too many to make the consultation process practical, especially as there are always some members who indulge in long monologues, and not aware of the boredom factor they produce being counter-productive.
When studying the different angles of astrology, I came across the 40 degree angle...as being one that imparts very high spiritual energies...there are 9 forty degree angles in an enneagram. So Im pretty sold on my avatar as being the best symbol to represent what I believe today.

The Christian cross, when examined astrologically, represents suffering...the right angles of 90 degrees causing energies to flow in a harder way, than say, the 120 degree angle of the astrological trine...(trinity) law of three.
The enneagram is made up of three grand trines.

Yeah, that didn't get by me either. When I understood the nature of the video, I went on high alert, so to speak. I am staying away from anything that sets out to elicit an emotional response.

When I shared what was going on a couple of days ago, about the wandering little girls, and Ulli mentioned that I had, myself, elicited an emotional response, I felt really badly. I don't want to do that. I felt used believe it or not. I'm going to try to watch it from here on....

I will try to recreate some of this one...

Yes, and I'm very glad you did. I have been sort of mulling over the significance of numbers lately. It is a chicken and egg conversation in my head. For example, were numbers in existence, and did they have an inherent significance before we noticed? Or...are we attaching the meaning? So, are you still of the opinion that book you mentioned is of value to the new wonder-er? Or, anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I came across a group a while back who advocated a group sort of governance similar to what you talk about. I can't say I think that's a bad idea. But I always wondered the best method for choosing these people. It was suggested by this group there be some battery of tests given...not necessarily and not solely personality tests, but I do know that many tests have been developed to indicate a person's level of integrity and such. They seem, to my research (iirc), to be pretty accurate.

I have a hard time, myself, thinking a new system would work unless the old energies have taken a minority role and a lesser presence at the very least.

Just thinking out loud.

I wonder what has gotten into me, being so vocal this morning. Must be in the stars...

I don't know of any groups other than the Baha'is using this system.

For me the integrity question was answered by the fact that an elected assembly member would receive no pay...
they would render their service voluntarily. There is no clergy, no missionaries, just Baha'u'llah's writings, and the elected bodies.
which were made up of ordinary believers.
But what I learnt was that ego-driven people might not need salaries, if they can get status instead.

To me the issue of the fund became a major peeve.
The Bahai Writings stated that "It would be impossible to conceive any act more contemptible than soliciting, in the name of the one true God, the riches which men possess."

Yet the fundraise activities stared to dominate all Bahai events, with endless preaching to get people to give to the fund, and not even for their own community's use, but for the world headquarters in Haifa. Cult-like behavior became the norm. Proselytizing was forbidden, yet in pandering to the lowest common denominator some communities even started doing door to door stuff like the JWs, just because they didn't want to upset the person who had proposed the idea.

So it was considered offensive to remind people of the Bahai standard, which I was always keen to uphold. Without that I was better off outside.

Maybe it was just a phase, but my husband and I left in 2001, because of this feeling of being coerced into something that we had not joined in the first place. We felt the whole thing had gone off the rails, although still believe in the original message.

I have these Caroline Myss Archetype cards,
and I just pulled one, to see what would come up
in answer to what I was trying to do with this thread.

And the card that came up is called The Liberator.

Here is the text for it:

" helps to liberate us from the self-inflicted tyranny of negative thought patterns and beliefs,
spiritual sluggishness, poor nutrition, destructive relationships, or addictive behavior.

A valuable ally in freeing us from old, entrenched beliefs and attitudes.

You don't have to be a charismatic leader to have this archetype.

Shadow liberator manifests in corporate, political, religious and spiritual leaders
who impose their own tyranny over others.

Ask whether you have a lifelong pattern of helping to free others from injustices,
Adverse economic or social conditions, or simply from their misconceptions."

So, yeah, I guess this is me to an extent. Also fits my Aquarius communication planets...
The Capricorn part of me, the corporate elitist, had to be overcome to get to this point.
But that was a long time ago.
My compass has been set to the liberation pole for several decades now.

I rescued a very small and young field mouse, in the middle of my driveway, about three hours back. it was trying to figure out how to eat. I walked up to it, bent down..(it was freezing in fear) and touched the tip of it's nose with my fingertip. It finally jolted itself, turned..and began to try and hop away. Not very fast or able, as it was young. I put my hand over it, claw like, but gentle, It got away a few times, not very far.

I finally managed to gently grab it, and it keeled over in fear, in the middle of my hand, simultaneously screaming, freezing and peeing itself.

I mean, according to my estimates of what it's tiny impressions would be..., it was just picked up by the claw/mouth, of a 65 story building.

I gently moved it to the hiding spot of the base of a large pine tree, under that very low umbrella of branches. In there, was a massive number of pine cones and ..seeds. It sat there frozen for a second or two, and I left it. I checked a few minutes later, and it was gone.

Amazing. I've always wanted to do that. Respect.

Ok, that would make it approximately six hours after Cal posted his Mission Impossible mouse picture.
Lets say you picked up that cheese trap image telepathically,
and with that on your mind manifested a little mouse to sit in your palm.
Not bad. Maybe a little bit slow, still.
I give you a B+.

This is how we create monsters. If he's heard about cats from his parents, he'll probably have got in trouble for making up stories about encountering some sort of friendly lion.

How long has it been since you changed the CMOS backup battery on the MoBo? Or, how old is the Mobo? batteries these days, come from china (CR2032, the most common). Old batteries came from Japan, and might last 4-5-6-7 years. New batteries from china tend to die in about 3 years. When they die, you get a zero for start up. Not even a blue screen.

As the battery dies, the system goes - intermittent. Fine one time, gone the next. Then back again.

Bad checksum and zero'd bios settings are a good indicator of a bad CMOS battery.

It can be viral, but sometimes it's just the CMOS battery finally dying.

More deaths...my aunt Annelie, R.I.P.
She was married to my mother's only brother, and we were close when I was little.

The other news is of the passing of Mick Farren of the Deviants...he died on stage on July 27th.
We used to hang out, many years ago, as we lived quite close in London, when I was still at art school.
I remember his room full of model airplanes hanging everywhere.

Just back with my mom from the hospital. Pop will stay there at least a couple of days. The good news is, it was not a stroke as originally thought, but a serious infection that caused him to spike a very high fever that affected his reasoning, function, behavior, etc. So there should not be any lasting effects, for which we are grateful.

Many thanks for your thoughts and good intentions.

I know a woman -- she's one of my favorite people actually -- her name is Joyce. I slip into calling her Joanne sometimes, don't know why I do that. She used to get upset at me because it seems like I don't care about remembering her name. It's not that. She came to understand it's some kind of block in my brain. Like switching words or letters as you type. Nothing personal, odd as it sounds.

Here's a group hug for Ernie, :grouphug: and thanks for reminding us about the Pele report. I got the link to Tom's website; Astrid would want us to have it. My work blocks YouTube, so I can't post the actual video.

It it works and holds the bios settings..but is till 'glitchy' in operation, it can be bad Mobo capacitors as well.

for a while (up to about 2010), quite a few (no-name, new companies, etc) mobos came out with bad or cheap mobo capacitors. The good mobos, Asus and the like, they went with better capacitors, or solid polymer capacitors. which almost all new mobos use these days, even the lower priced ones.

Good morning.

Because I have been asked a few times how I found this thread but not PA, I thought I would share. Put this in the other thread, sharing here too...

"I think I may well be the only member who found PA after I was accepted here.

I had been feeling a terrible gnawing inside, a feeling of "hurry-up" (quickening?), and I could not understand the origin of the sensation of the walls closing in on me. Things had changed, I felt near implosion. I understood absolutely nothing about this. It was not tangible, not logical, not explainable.

So I sat at the computer one day and started googling. I think I ended up searching something like "what the hell is going on?" which led to "what's happening?"

And there it was, a thread on a forum. "Here and Now...What's Happening?" When I started to post there, I started to regain my equilibrium. I needed desperately to stay grounded, not that I even understood at the time what that meant. And, I needed to find those friends, and all of you actually.

I felt such relief at being accepted here, it felt as if my life depended on it. Literally.

That's how I got here. Staying here...because it is a gift, and one I find myself clinging to at times because I can't find anyone else (yet) in real life that has these interests.

Thanks for the thread, jagman. It's fun to read, but more it allows me to see how much we all have it common. Even if I don't come out of my shell often."

Have a great day...going out to mow (wondering how that's going to go....) Much Love,

Ya this place is pretty special, 1.

I get what you mean, from back a while, about the hazards of going to the rock and gem store. I almost got away without too much expense but then I saw this piece of tourmaline I just had to have. I'm embarrassed to say what I payed for it. But it is magnificent! With a significance only I know of - uh, it's special to me. And a little piece of amythest, my birthstone. I will be going back for some massage crystals, rose quartz. Bought a book on rocks and minerals so I can classify specimens I might run across, too. I took a class in geology in college so I have a bit of background.

Back when I got divorced, way, way back, I went through a mystical period where I was collecting rocks from the great lakes region. I would drive to the lake and go for a walk along the beach, looking for rocks. I ended up with a rock for every planet (it was an offshoot of my interest in astrology that also developed during my divorce). I don't know what happened to those rocks, except for the Pluto rock. That one I threw back into the lake, on a separate, purposeful journey to where I found it. I don't know, it was about the rock would serve me from a distance in subtle ways - and I have drawn on that source a few times since. Rocks are cool.

edit: I had not read the bit about Pluto in your other thread, Ulli. That's a little coincidence. Been a lot of them lately...

Here is another gem from the Bahai teachings...
which when performed right really works.

5 Steps of Prayer for Solving Problems

1st Step: Pray and meditate about it. Use the prayers of the Manifestations*
as they have the greatest power. Then remain in the silence of contemplation
for a few minutes.

2nd Step: Arrive at a decision and hold this. This decision is usually born
during the contemplation. It may seem almost impossible of accomplishment
but if it seems to be as answer to a prayer or a way of solving the problem,
then immediately take the next step.

3rd Step: Have determination to carry the decision through. Many fail here.
The decision, budding into determination, is blighted and instead becomes a wish or a vague longing. When determination is born, immediately take the next step.

4th Step: Have faith and confidence that the power will flow through you,
the right way will appear, the door will open, the right thought, the right
message, the right principle, or the right book will be given to you. Have
confidence and the right thing will come to your need. Then, as you rise
from prayer, take at once the 5th step.

5th Step: Act as though it had all been answered. Then act with tireless,
ceaseless energy. And as you act, you, yourself, will become a magnet, which
will attract more power to your being, until you become an unobstructed
channel for the Divine power to flow through you.

* by "Manifestations* are meant the founders of the world's religions.

Many pray but do not remain for the last half of the first step.
Some who meditate arrive at a decision, but fail to hold it.
Few have the determination to carry the decision through,
still fewer have the confidence that the right thing will come to their need.
But how many remember to act as though it had all been answered?

How true are these words “Greater than the prayer is the spirit in which it is uttered”
and greater than the way it is uttered is the spirit in which it is carried out.

Marginal voltage on the CMOS battery, or flakey caps on the mainboard (aka motherboard), or flakey caps in the power supply, or an overworked power supply, ... my first four guesses.

Use a volt meter on the battery to see if it's at spec.

Search for "bad capacitors on motherboards" or search for "bad capacitor plague" for information on those -- such as at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague. As explained at http://www.badcaps.net/pages.php?vid=4, and evident from the repair kits sold at http://www.badcaps.net/pages.php?vid=21, pretty much everyone (all major computer motherboard manufacturers) got hit with this, for over a decade, even the manufacturers with the finest reputations.

If the power supply was marginal and then any additional load was added to the system or additional dirt accumulated, then it could start becoming unable to provide stable and adequate voltage levels. Or this could happen if the power supply is wearing out ... usually meaning one of its internal capacitors has started to fail.

Accumulated dust can cause critical components to be running at a higher temperature, which could be enough to make a once stable PC unstable.

I don't see a problem either. But then I'm not a doctor,
nor do I suffer from having been brainwashed by big pharma,
and live in constant fear of malpractice litigation.

I'm sure the percentage of doctors who are brave enough to use remedies
which don't have the FDA stamp of approval is still low,
but hopefully going up with the newer generation.

It might just take a few monkeys doing their thing out somewhere until a hundred others who spend their time investigating negative side effects discovered it would be unprofessional not to look into positive side effects. They are researching such things all the time to refine doses, recipient categories etc. Having the drug already on the market should be a big help. Get some students onto it if your reputation is too precious. It is not as if you were administering bleach after all :)

Yet he simply cannot get past his brainwashing on vaccines.

After several "rounds" we agree to disagree (which is fine as long as the local state law still allows for waivers).

Anyway ... nurses ... other children's doctors ... I absolutely draw damnation and scorn from when questioning the safety and effectiveness of vaccines. Mainstream whitewashes the deaths and myriad damages. Most medical staff are clueless.

Spooky matrix kinda stuff.

At least the kid's personal doctor respects our right to refuse ... although he clearly thinks I am wrong for doing so.

Well, hell. I'm feeling a lot like I'm living the movie Groundhog Day. Wake up, same things on the to do list, same fog in my head. I'm really tired of waking up with the same fog every day, struggling to remember what it is that I have learned, what I am striving for, and sometimes I remember I have been taking charge of the ship and doing the steering myself only to not be able to remember why or where I was going.

I sure wish I knew what was going on overnight. It's like a stupid program is running in my sleep, a computer virus.

And so as not to leave a negative imprint here...I am grateful for the crickets and tree frogs, and the juicy sweet plums from the tree. I am grateful to have made friends here, and now, that (hopefully) understand I have no ulterior motives. I am grateful I am accepted for who I am, and all my many quarks. Somehow Divinely orchestrated I would say. Because look at what has happened since. Look at the relationships I have found here, quite an education, and a jump-start to my own development. It's fascinating, and also a life saver.

Consider...I was living in a neighborhood where my daughter has been a victim of several violent crimes. Remember (maybe) how right before I moved to the country, the SWAT team was sitting in front of my house, and multiple members plus DEA all converged on the alley behind our house...guns, tear gas, and lord knows what all. And the schools, which were the best in the area only a few years before (when we moved there), were having gang troubles and had to call the Gang Task force and set off tear gas in the school to calm the gang members down, which of course effected the "regular" students, like M. And then there were the times she went into the stair well only to unexpectedly catch two students engaged in some sexual act or other, the kids drinking vodka from water bottles in class, the crack and meth...

It is so sad, and very odd, that I still have ties to that while having ties to the peace of the country. It is crazy making, I think that's what they call it, to feel both of these worlds, be a part of neither...

Anyway, my point was that there really was no one I could find in the middle of all that who could answer the question, "what the hell is going on???" Why am(was) I feeling like I'm suffocating, why are the walls caving in, why do I have the sensation of imploding? What is all this heavy pressure I feel?

Apparently, either no one else was feeling it (it was my experience alone), or no one else was talking about it. And I watched, and I observed, and I looked really hard...and everyone else seemed to be unaffected.

It took me joining PA and spilling my guts in this village to feel sane. Bad choice of words there...sane...I never feel sane. To feel like I wasn't going crazy, to understand that it was probably the energy of that area that was killing me.

Yep, the Village did this for me...

We're on page phi folks, or a harmonic thereof (1618) :)

I often wonder why they call it the golden mean, it should be the golden generous.

Here is a piece of useless information. 1mile = 1.6093km. Except it's not useless. It probably suggests that the metric system is as old as the hills, or as the pyramids, as a number of specialists are saying.

I was once given a book of Useless information - a misnomer because I found something useful in it :)

Yes, this is exactly what I believe. The problem with MMS is that it has to be prepared 10 minutes before taking,
Sort of like epoxy adhesives.
They are definitely more effective than normal glues, but will never get the corner of the big market,
because of the hassle involved in preparing.
We live in the age of convenience, after all.

The most convenient medicine is a well-trained mind and a pure heart,
it beats herbs, potions, pills, compresses, and rituals any time.

But it is also the hardest to maintain.

I'm going to try something here. I'm going to share something I consider really, really weird. Just pass on by if this doesn't do anything for you. I will not be offended. This is more an experiment for me. I'm sitting in this funk, as very very (too) often happens. And either I can give in to it and go back to bed, or I can try to pull myself out of it, not knowing actually how to go about that. So this is the experiment. I'm going to share this, and focus intently on it, in an attempt to bring back into myself some of the light I occasionally feel. So, I guess this is purely for my own sake. However, I'm sharing it right here in plain sight for a reason. I have grasped this, I am holding onto this. But maybe either someone else will enjoy this, or someone else will feel the light I am bringing in (which is the hope, and why I am doing this.)

One day I was sitting outside, must have been a couple of months ago now. (I'm losing my grip with time.) And someone said to me, "I want you to try something. Go out and find yourself a stick. Play with it and see what happens."

So, ever the diligent student, I went out looking. And I came back with four or five sticks. I sat on the porch wondering what the heck to do with these sticks. (I don't get a whole lot of instruction, just some guidance to get me started in the right direction.) I picked up a stick, ran my hands up and down feeling the thickness, the bark, the color. And a piece of the bark fell off. I started peeling away at the bark, and it was like unwrapping a present. There were secrets in this stick. The first thing I noticed was that the small, narrow end of the stick was the head of a snake. (Freaked me out at the time, actually.) My first thoughts? "Holy Sh!t!"

There was also another head on this stick, and the only way to describe it would be a mythical or mystical creature, reminded me of something that one would see in Harry Potter. And eye on each side of the stick, an open mouth curled up into a smile in the center, just between. And I turned the stick around and there was a knob, like the back of the little guy's head. I'm sure I repeated my first sentiment here.

I picked up some fine grain sand paper and brushed gently over the bare stick, and there were markings on the wood, like symbols or something, an ancient language (I don't think it actually is, just what it reminded me of.) Oddly, these markings only appeared after sanding.

I sat that stick down, and started on the other sticks. These were different kinds of wood, cedar and pine mostly, but a couple I can't remember now also. And on every single stick, there were animals. One has a howling wolf on it, one is an alligator. And there was one...when I was peeling the bark away ever so gently, a white feather appeared...the smallest white feather I've ever seen. It was under the bark. And as soon as I saw it, I wanted to keep it, but the wind had swept it away.

This exercise was given to me on a hunch, which was confirmed (apparently) by the results. A wand-maker? Me? Are you serious? You (might have) just read where I came from.

The lesson for me was, and still is, to accept that there is a magic inside. And it wants to manifest, it is part of who I am, it is wonderful, it is powerful, it has been with me since before I can remember (obviously), but it knows what to do.

Oh, and I have taken my sticks to show a few people I trust, because I wasn't sure if these animals and such were actually on these sticks, in these sticks, or if it was more like one of those ink-dot psychological tests...only I could see them.

Nope. They are definitely there.

Oh, this is working! This is working! The fog is still here, but there is a light I can feel right through the fog. Dense this is, but even the tiniest spark of light is strong enough for me to focus on.

Thank you so much for allowing me this exercise (hahahahaha, as if you had any choice-made myself laugh.)

Oh, laughter! I missed you! Okay, getting off the computer now. Going to focus on this. I hope every one of you has a light to focus on today, and if it is in hiding...may you find it post haste!

Much Love,

And it also reminds me of reading in a Gurdjieff book...

About the stick.....sticks can be amazing, can't they? I found one in the woods once that I wanted to carve into a walking stick for myself. It has elaborate carvings all over it now and when i came to carve the top....there were already two amazing images there that I just had to tease out only a very very little bit.

Dang cal, that's pretty old, you must have rode the same dinosaur to school my gramma did...or you were like my grandpa and walked (barefeet in three feet of snow, straight uphill...both ways).

I'm only old enough to remember when SNL was really funny (featuring the late great Phil Hartmann...RIP)...and while I couldn't find a Dana carvey "grumpy old man" sketch, I did come across this gem (with another late/great starting):

I loved going throug my parents 45s, and then 8-tracks. I dont have anything my kids can play my old tapes on, and they don't have any CDs other than mine...just music delivered by the pod

Everything is in grand complement and harmonic but it also has many opposing mirrors and tensions.

Not since July 20th. So whatever it is, it's not Mercury.

Carmody just pointed it out...
a hexagon has three oppositions.
But it's not too bad....

The worst energies had to do with Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn.
The recent train crashes, and other similar accidents I'm not aware of.

This would have affected people with planets at 9 degrees of Libra, Cancer, Aries and Capricorn. And Uranus at 12 Aries will get a right angle from Mars in a couple of days...hmm...not nice.

States communicate these days, as evidenced in my license being suspended this summer as I had a accidentally short paid a ticket I got in Ohio (for flipping my car over and hurting or damaging nothing but my own car...it's like a kick to the groin after getting punched in the face)...luckily I found out before I got pulled over...but be warned, out of state tickets will catch up to you. Jersey found out when he got a DElaware license. It was at least 4 years ago he had gotten stopped.

Anyways, that's been coming up a lot. I had to take another buddy to get his car (blew .092, woulda been legal a couple years ago) 'couple beers w dinner and wife nagging to get home. my babe's ex totaled his car Friday night (we'll find out in about 30 days, but prime time Friday night, me thinks he had a few tugs of Jack knowing him). Be careful on the road people

Anyway, that's how my life is. Every after school special drama-dy every other day...sometimes I feel like I'm on a sick reality show. But I get adventure (for me!), flying to OR tomorrow night, seeing my kid for first time in months thurs, brother first time on year, and meeting Mr Gilliland (and Giovanni?) on Friday for weekend on the ranch (god I'm like a kid waiting for Disney!!), and a week plus in one of my favorite all time places with some of the best people ever.

I can assure you that it will get quieter as you get older.
Maybe you will dread what you perceive as boredom, at first,
until you learn to start observing yourself in just those boring moments.
That's when you discover that in each and every moment there is something to be gleaned which is actually life enriching,
but which you never noticed before.
Maybe what you find then won't entertain your listeners as before, but then you can always find new people who actually like to hear your boring accounts, as they find stuff in the nuances that help them with their journey.

So I won't mention the merits of boredom again, at least not for a while.
I only did it to show what people who manifest an excess of drama might be fearful of.

So here's to reality. Here and now...it is so clammy and cold and wet here in the Costa Rica mountains that I'm reluctant to get out of bed. Having three cats sleeping nearby isn't exactly inspiring me to go outside either.

Well, I can find a serious element in every joke,
just as I can extract humor out of tragic situations.

So, the energy of that Groucho Marx joke is about social climbing,
to such heights where one knows one is not deserving, at least not yet.l
Maybe with the hope to fit in one day in the future.

A lofty, forbidding environment has a lot of pull...
exclusivity is the name of the game behind designer labels,
and expensive status symbols.

Altogether this sums up why feelings of insecurity persist in the world,
as people aren't getting the real goods which connect them to the big battery,
but only fake and glamorous substitutes.

Are you trying to suggest that people are more concerned with images, being right (appearing “better”) than learning and growing and discovering “truth”. Cuz I’m on board if you are…

I get kinda lost sometimes though….were we talking about p!ssing contests, and then one broke out?

When I was in 4th grade, bussed in to the inner city school…my classmates and I would have long-shot contests, where we started at the urinal, and then kept taking steps back, mid-urination, and whoever was still hitting it from the farthest away was the winner.

Some played to win, to be the longest p!sser. Some played to not be ostercized from the rest of group. Some were too self-conscious to get involved. Me? I had two reasons…I was curious to see how far I could p!ss…and more importantly: I liked a chance to p!ss on the floor, besides being fun—I hated that school.

Pissing on the floor of a school one hates would only upset the janitor,
who then goes home and beats up the kids, who in turn torture the cat.

Or were you hoping to get expelled and placed in a better school?

I was once in a house where there was no bathroom at all, nor furniture,
except for rolled-up hammocks on the wall, and the house rule was to piss through the cracks in the floor boards...
If you missed you would end up sitting in your own piss for the rest of the day, or stand outside in the rain.

This is as true as my last story (which was about a group of ten years old boys ulli…I personally didn’t learn empathy or personal responsibility until decades later, so the effects to the janitor were not really the point--I was kinda going for a parable, of sorts. Also, it probably made the floor in front of the urinals the cleanest part of the bathroom…though I digress…):

It probably wasn’t the janitor that cleaned our urine, but it would make the story better if it was….

I got straight A’s in my fancy middle class neighborhood public school, right up through 3rd grade, at which point I was bussed into aforementioned school, the sheer size of which I could not adjust to, not to mention the completely different “social norms” that came with it.

I was lost, miserable, and going to get my first non-A…worse, I knew it was at least a D, and probably an F. I remember being an agnostic at the time, being dragged to CCD (Catholic training for the cannibalistic “first communion” ritual that was important enough to have a class for) I didn’t like the institution much, but some sort of creator being made as much sense to me as anything else…so I went with. I prayed to my Catholic God to burn the school down.

Well, that was a Friday…that weekend, guess what? A painter (I used to tell it as janitor, now that I think about it…but I gotta think they hired a contractor) threw a cigarette but in a paint can—in the closet of my home room. The fire that erased any record of my 1st quarter marking period…and necessitated my then super-busy parents getting me into a (much much better, private) school.

Which lead to me going to Catholic High School (private HS’s were outa my ‘rents range), where I learned to despise Catholicism, and became for a long period very openly, aggressively anti-christian, and atheist.

Anyways…all that information was more anecdotal than to my point of why I started writing it in your thread…”male” males do stupid things, real dumb **** appeals to us at a young age—the fact that I wanted the gnarliest, killingest, realist-looking gun for a toy, that my favorite shows were GI Joe and Transformers (and Thundercats), I loved gory Schwarzeneggar and Seagal movies best…there’s some sort of appeal to violence and competition and being a hero that comes with a penis.

So maybe that thread is about those that learn about enlightment, but are still trying to be the longest p!sser?

Wow, you burnt that school down...you are one of us then, after all.

Anyway, wholeness means keeping ALL your faculties intact,
you never know, one day the whole world might depend on you
and your fountain.

This is all part of the energy shifts we all have been preparing for for years.
The time has come to dig into our spiritual reserves.
Many have rejected the idea that certain actions can have consequences,
and so made no effort in the past to do inner work.

Lend your help where there is already upward momentum.
Don't allow anyone to drag you down.

bingo! IMO.

Incredibly hot on one side (sun side) of the capsule, incredibly cold on the other side (shade side). It was a major problem, a huge engineering hurdle of the worst kind.

Without thermal controls, the temperature of the orbiting Space Station's Sun-facing side would soar to 250 degrees F (121 C), while thermometers on the dark side would plunge to minus 250 degrees F (-157 C).

Morning meditation session brought this up. From the writings of Baha'u'llah

Tear asunder, in My Name, the veils that have grievously blinded your vision, and, through the power born of your belief in the unity of God, scatter the idols of vain imitation.

Enter, then, the holy paradise of the good-pleasure of the All-Merciful.
Sanctify your souls from whatsoever is not of God, and taste ye the sweetness of rest within the pale of His vast and mighty Revelation, and beneath the shadow of His supreme and infallible authority.

Suffer not yourselves to be wrapt in the dense veils of your selfish desires, inasmuch as I have perfected in every one of you My creation, so that the excellence of My handiwork may be fully revealed unto men.

It follows, therefore, that every man hath been, and will continue to be, able of himself to appreciate the Beauty of God, the Glorified.

Had he not been endowed with such a capacity, how could he be called to account for his failure?

If, in the Day when all the peoples of the earth will be gathered together, any man should, whilst standing in the presence of God, be asked: "Wherefore hast thou disbelieved in My Beauty and turned away from My Self," and if such a man should reply and say: "Inasmuch as all men have erred, and none hath been found willing to turn his face to the Truth, I, too, following their example, have grievously failed to recognize the Beauty of the Eternal," such a plea will, assuredly, be rejected.

For the faith of no man can be conditioned by any one except himself."

Awesome place Ulli beautiful! and serene. You're hired:)

A little eerie, I've been thinking about putting in some flowers for next year; gladiolus, snap dragons, lavender, lilacs and morning glories on part of the fence to add some color and life. The terrain is rugged (sometimes treacherous) lol with a few scrub oak, old holly tree, lots of red oaks, a few pines, sage, manzanitas and a couple of vines all in a sort of natural state of chaos around the yard.

It's good to be back:grouphug: and Love Love Love

I guess an A/C unit would be good, for a backup - if the spin functionality got out of whack.

Have a request to the Village Wizards

A few days ago I awoke to awful back pain in my lower spine area. The kind of pain that makes you want to take quite a few sips of whiskey.
Instead of resting it for a day or two, I continued on with the chores and unpacking. Then while shopping I had a muscle spasm in the same area -near L4-L3 on the right side. Ouch, I've never had a muscle spasm. Stretching, arnica ointment and Epson salts bath all bring some relief, but there is still a lot of pain. Hoping some of the Wizards in the house will work a little of your magic. Thanks

Poor you. I too have suffered from back pain, many times,
once, about 15 years ago it lasted for a several months, gradually getting worse,
and I could hardly walk at all in the end.
I had hurt my sciatic nerve, all the way down my left leg.

I did everything at the time, chiropractor, vitamin B shots, Voltaren shots, traction, jacuzzi, massage, acupunture...
but the best pain relief was from hot salt packs.
Looking back now I realize my mistake...not enough rest in the earliest stage.
Sending a healing prayer your way.

This past tuesday morning, I awoke to be informed that the water pressure was down in the house, so as it got light out, I checked the meter and it was going ninety to nothing. Therefore I proceeded to find where there was water coming out of the ground in a few places, and dug a few holes in the sopping wet earth around a hickory tree until I found the pipe that had come apart around the roots. Too big a job for my patry plumbing skills, I called a real one and my water was back on by the afternoon, and so too did the lower back spasms begin by that afternoon. So, tuesday afternoon, all day wednesday, and into thursday morning, I would suddenly have these spasms that would cause my knees to buckle, and I would go to the floor. Quite literally a major pain in the rear. I just kept trying to slowly stretch it out, back straight and knees locked, trying my best to get a 90 degree angle, until the muscles finally began to relax.

Its fine now, and the moral of the story is, when you work your ass off, make sure you stretch it out afterwards. It was also my first experience with muscle spasms.

Thanks

Nora, I'm not a wizard but will do what I can. I had lower back pain some years ago. Chiropractor told me it was important to alternate resting it, flat on your back with knees bent -- and then walking on a level surface for maybe 10-20 minutes to stretch it.

If you take herbs for inflammation and pain relief, these are ones I'd use:

--white willow bark
--devil's claw (don't let the name put you off, it's excellent for helping back problems)
--violet leaf for pain, it has salacylic acid that aspirin was derived from
--bromelain (an enzyme extracted from fresh pineapple)
--curcumin (found in turmeric but best to get the tablets because they are concentrated)
--ginger (use in cooking, or put in your tea)

And drinking fresh raw juices, and/or eating raw fruits/veggies helps reduce inflammation. Blueberries are especially helpful, other berries too (strawberry, cranberry). Blend up a fruit or green smoothie or a raw blended soup.

Avoid refined carbs, eat raw or lightly steamed broccoli and veggies in the cabbage family.

Here's a Super 7 Salad.
It's good tasting and very healthy, lots of anti-inflam ingredients. If you were nearby, I'd bring you a big bowl of it; it lasts 2-3 days in the fridge.
-Kale, bite size pieces
-Brussels sprouts, sliced into thin rounds
-Broccoli, cut into very small pieces (or use broccoli slaw, the peeled, grated stalks)
-Raddichio, cut small (optional, I can't always find it)
-Raw pumpkin seeds
-Dried cranberries
-Poppyseed dressing
Toss together. Add the seeds and cranberries and pour on dressing just before serving.

Off now, to let reconnective healing flow, every little while, and do a Reiki healing. I am the channel, you are the one doing the healing. But you knew that... just saying for those who might not know yet.

Nerve Assist
Among the many types of assists in Scientology is one which can straighten joints and the spine.

This is called a Nerve Assist.

Chiropractic spinal adjustment is often successful. But sometimes the spine goes out of place again and has to be adjusted time after time. The Nerve Assist was actually developed as a favor to chiropractors, many of whom now use it.

In our theory, it is nerves that hold the muscles tense, which then hold the spine out of place.

There are twelve big nerves which run down a person’s spine, spreading out from the spine across both sides of the shoulders and back. These twelve nerves branch out into smaller nerve channels and nerve endings. Nerves affect the muscles and can, if continually tensed, pull the spine and other parts of the body structure out of place.

Nerves carry the shock of impacts. Such a shock should dissipate, but it seldom does entirely. Nerves give orders to muscles. With an impact, a surge of energy starts down the nerve channels. Then, from the small ends of the nerve channels, the energy surge reverses and the result is a bulge of energy which stops midway along the channel. This gives what is called a “standing wave.” It is just standing there, not going anywhere.

go to this link will show you how to do the assist

then get someone to give you the assist ,. and the spine should go back into place

This makes really good sense, Jim. Combining massage, chiropractic, and energy healing techniques.
I hope Nora, that you have someone, maybe a family member, who can give you nerve assist.

At the time I had it I thought I was stuck in a vicious circle. There was bone pressing on nerve, causing pain. The pain caused the nearby muscles to contract, which in turn pulled on the bone even more.

So we did three things...chiropractic, to pull the vertebrae apart, taking the pressure off of the nerve.
Painkiller and anti inflammatory to relax the muscle, and Vitamin B complex and sometimes a Tegretol tablet which is normally used for epilepsy to heal and calm the nerve.
I had left it far too late, and thought I could cure myself with just stretches and exercises...big mistake.

Wish I had a camera with me....yesterday morning I went for a walk as the sun was rising, however I noticed there were about 3-4 long gigantic rays rising from the WEST...they spanned far across the sky. Perhaps its an optical illusion bouncing off of the east side where the real sun was behind big dark clouds?

Has anyone else noticed rays coming FROM THE WRONG DIRECTION?? really wish I had camera with me..

I have seen strange phenomena like that, but mostly there was a logical explanation.
If the sun had risen, and there was a large white cloud on the opposite horizon,
that cloud could then reflect a lot of sunlight, sitting in front of the still darkish western sky.

Sorry to hear about your back, Nora. Gotta keep that back strong and straight. But there are so many muscles and nerves supporting our spine, it is easily damaged or put out of sorts.

For me it was my shoulder, of late. It was in terrible condition and I was close to allowing permanent memories to form around it (this is how I believe some illness becomes chronic, by favoring and worrying about the affected area). Now I don't know if it was the Reiki or not but my shoulder is at 90% and still improving. I did not even do yoga during this now ten week period and was beginning to consider how I would have to modify my yoga to accomodate the severely restricted movement of my shoulder. It is still a bit sore but the range of motion is much improved and no numbing at all in any position.

I was lucky this week to have had a little bit of nature in the backyard of the house I was working on here in the city. I came to call the place the grove. It might at one time been a swimming pool but I'm not sure. At the back of the yard was a sunken area in which four trees had been planted, not sure of the type. In front of this area it is protected by a hedge of cedar and sumac. Behind is a six foot high old wooden fence. It is completely isolated from the neighbors. And the atmosphere is calm and serene, not beneficient necessarily but more neutral. All week I got to spend my breaks under this canopy, my back against a tree trunk. I made friends with one of the trees. I was sad when our time was up.

Nature is a flow of energies, neither good nor bad, that bring constant change, constant renewal. There is no sorrow or regret in nature; nature knows only unrestrained creativity and fully yielding adaptability. Nothing remains the same; nothing is written in stone. Every situation and even subjective reality itself is ultimately subject to the will of the perciever. There is great magic in that truth for those less discerning, yet there is even a greater miracle awaiting those of good heart that learn to bend reality to thier will, however slightly. The reward is communion with the energy of nature herself and the ongoing expression of deity, perfection and beauty.

Beautiful day today, hope all enjoy.

Session with James (& for the fam), meeting Gio (who is awesome), talking to ranchers and guests, of course ness sees (& captures on camera) the entity James was feeling and talking about (she was on other side and couldn't hear him)...sick weather (hopefully less clouds tonight)...kids digging it...will give a full report later, just checking in between mini events here...will gove Avalon next chance I get...

I vomited last night. Serves me right.
I had not eaten meat in ages,
so my body is no longer used to it.
I caved in because they held these barbecued bites under my nose at a family event,
and the delicious smell of the meat got to me. So I got protein poisoning.....
although better now. Have guests today for vegetarian lunch today...should I cancel?
Nah, Phoenix rising from the ashes....I'll be fine.

Thanks Marianne, but remember I live outside of and far away from civilization.
We don't have anything like the kinds of shops you have in the US.
When I finally found a shop here that sold sea salt it had been repackaged
by a Costa Rican distributor and proudly announced on its label that it contained
iodine as well as fluoride.

Very good idea!! Freedom for all!!

Reminds me of Rilke's empathic poem:

The Panther
translation by Auvi Chakder

His gaze, from passing on the bars around him,
has grown so weary, no more can it bear.
It seems as if a thousand bars surround him.
Beyond those thousand bars, there is nowhere.

The supple turnout of his sturdy treading
within the smallest circle pattern lands.
This dance of strength is 'round a center heading,
in which his mighty will, gone numb, now stands.

Just sometimes lift the curtains of his seeing.
Up, soundlessly – an image then goes in,
And passes through his tense and silent being,
reaches the heart, and dies within.

I haven't noticed this but I have recently noticed something else odd about the sun. I am able to stare at the sun directly for approx 40 mins every day from 3 to 3:40 pm without any ill effects whatsoever. I always used to have a long lasting dark spot in the center of my field of vision whenever I even attempted to look directly at the sun for a few seconds. Anyone else doing this? Please try it and let me know of your experience.

If you fly Spirit Airlines in September from New York, which stops in Fort Lauderdale for one hour,
a round trip with all fees and taxes included costs $376

P.S. Spirit Airlines is the only option to fly for someone whose name is Eaglespirit.

At this price Ulli, it is not far from making it two in Costa `Rica, if it weren't for my daughter starting school (and me too), this is not expensive and I can be bused to NY (the bus ticket would be more expensive lol)

In fact, we should all jump into the plane in NY and have a Ulli's happening, 20 of us.... Ulli would most probably freak out building cabins in a rush!

Today is beautiful in Montreal, sunny, dry and fresh air, beautiful. So when I lost the electricity this afternoon, and all my neighborhood with me, I reaaaaallly thought "the carrington effect". Went on my cell, it worked. We are half a million on the island that have lost our current. It seem that a thunderstorm 1,000 miles from here hit a main line carrying electricity to the province and to us. So now, I know where my current is coming from. LOL

And later for the carrington effect.

There and then:
Yesterday, there was a bit of "clicking" in my ear when I moved my jaw (not TMJ click, in the ear.) I thought I might be either getting hit with some seasonal allergy (which is rare for me), or fighting a "cold"/ear infection. I did nothing about it. Early last evening, I got hit with what had to be an inner ear infection, and it came on quickly. I felt drunk (dizzy, loss of sense of balance) and had to grab onto things to keep from falling over. I tried lying down for a half hour, but kept spinning. I took 2 oil of oregano gelcaps and went to sleep...

Here and now:
I awoke feeling much better (nearly all of my dizziness gone), and took 2 more oil of oregano caps with breakfast. It's about 2:00 pm where I am, and I'll take 2 more with (late) lunch. I'm feeling very grateful for how well oil of oregano works for me. :~)

Thanks to your suggestion of Oil of Oregano last year when Em had the flu, I've been a walking advertisement, haha. I still have a couple of bottles, but it would be really cool if we didn't have to break it out this school year!

Last weekend, we got to meet Bubba and his five year old son. K's new boyfriend (and his son). They are awesome, they really are. I'm so excited that she is with someone who is kind hearted rather than mean, adores both boys rather than bullies children, will have a beer but not drive (her car or his, either one) drunk and with drugs in his system...It appears she has done it. She has learned the lesson and is free to move on. I see and hear the painful scars left by previous choices, and I hope she will open up to the fact that there is more than meets the eye in this world. That would do her more good at this point than any therapy, which I would also support, but which she doesn't have the time for (and I couldn't speak to whether she would go.)

Em has started marching band practice, it is so hot it is unbelievable. But she loves it! Ha! I'm so glad.

Here and now...looks like I need to mow again, this is getting comical. Not going to happen today, I can say that for sure. I think I will pull a Scarlet here and just not worry about it until tomorrow.

Nora!!!! and Playdo!!! I'm glad you are home, here in the village, Nora. I really missed you. I love those pictures, no way I could do that with my phone. And Playdo, I've been wondering where you've been :)

the Bridge

How can we live aware on earth? These times reveal the scale of human pain, the suffering of animals, and so on. Many teachers focus on the need to change the social order. How could we disagree? We can focus on personal transformation and/or action in the arena of our choice. Agreed.

I have a question. Every day we wake to violations perpetrated by a wounded race. The more we are aware, the more we are prone to vast, transpersonal grief and anger. I empathize with those who simply close down. How can we bear the vast grief and anger that burden the open heart?

There are many partial answers, from passionate action to therapy to mystical surrender. All are valid but miss a fundamental point. We can learn to transmute our private woe but we are not designed to carry or process global suffering.

I could not resolve this problem without the help of Tara. This is what she says:

TARA
To all who read this: I know the aspirations of your heart. I know that you long for everyone to be restored to their true estate. You want to help. I know that time and density have wounded you. I know your courage.

You came to help, and you need help to carry on. You need resources. You need reSource. The root of the problem is your seeming separation from your source-self. Please contemplate these images:

Your source-self is your home, your base, your mothership, your family of being. Even these images can only hint at your source-self’s power, intelligence and love. You are part of this resplendent being-system, unique and irreplaceable.

The story that you long to heal is: separation - exile - loss. You came into time and density, to help. You entered the illusion of separation that is the fundamental cause of human suffering.

You lost the knowing that you are designed to receive help on every level. Let us focus on a single consequence. See the image of the mothership, a beautiful and complex light formation, like a star. You left the ship and came down to the planet’s surface. In fact you were an extension of the ship.

You came down to scout the local situation and relay your data to the mothership. You had a built in communications link by which you could send and receive information. For a while everything was fine. Then something happened. The density of the illusion dulled your energy. You began to forget who you are and what you are a part of. Eventually you imagined yourself to be separate and alone. Your communication link was silent. The mothership did not receive your data. You did not receive the ship’s transmissions. But you were still recording information.

You are recording now. Consider what this means. You are aware, through media and your sensing, of many things that violate your fellow human. You know the effect of malice and stupidity. What do you do with the information? You store it in your body and your subtle fields. You try to sort it.

Whereas you are responsible for your own creations, you are not designed to sort this massive information. You end up carrying vast anger, and its isotope, vast grief. In your body. How can you manage a burden which regenerates from day to day? There are familiar strategies, some of which may offer some relief. Everything from therapies to numbing. None of them really do the trick.

You need a way to release the backlog of information that is encoded as vast anger/grief, and to keep releasing. Back to the data-link. In your time it has been restored. Remember, it is two-way. You can use it to release the stored emotion.

In our image, the mothership is equipped to sort and analyze the information that you carry. All you have to do is send it. Here is how you do it. The data-link is an energy bridge which connects you to the higher levels of your being. Through it you receive. Many people do not know that they are designed to use it to transmit.

The bridge is real. Take this on as true. Now, intend to send your information. Much of this is stored in your lower body. When you intend, you activate the process.

You do not need to bring the material into awareness. Indeed it is often better not to. Send it up through your body’s central channel and its extension, the bridge of energy. Ask your helpers to assist, if need be. Keep doing this until you feel relief. Make this releasing part of daily practice.

Some are ashamed of the heavy emotions that they carry. From our point of view, the emotions encode the data that we need to do our work, to help you. What may be junk to you, to us is valuable. Let us do the processing.

Your electrical and central nervous systems will be relieved. Your data-circuitries will be cleared of static. Some bearable grief and anger will remain. That is for you to convert into motivational energy. You are here to help. Once you become lighter - once you have shed data-mass, as Ray has called it, you will be clearer and more empowered to act.

Tara, in service, like the sun.

Note

This works. Tara first imaged the bridge as a powerful method of reducing tension in the bodymind. More is going on. We are moving out of a childish relationship to the greater realms of being. We are learning to participate. This begins with telling it the way it is. I used to call this: yelling at the gods. Sometimes it helps to talk across the bridge, especially when we have learned of yet another massacre or... anything that wrings the heart.

The bridge is really a way to re-integrate our terran selves into our being-system or oversoul. Project Restoration.

I really want our local bridge "restored to its true state", as soon as possible.
It was supposed to be reopened at the end of June, and here we are in August already.
And now the recent rains have caused part of the alternative route to collapse into the river.

Anyway, just as I was reading your post I came across this (somewhat related) picture:

The middle name gives a few clues about someone's parents.

Here in Costa Rica there are several men with the name Jesus Maria.
( no, their surname is NOT Andjoseph)

Haven't heard of a woman being called Maria Jesus.
Although there are lots and lots of women called Maria Jose.
