Thunder, you still don't seem to be getting the point that's being made here. What you ARE getting is what your assumptions are leading you to.
These assumptions really are your own, no one else's. I see ur point, but i respectfully disagree.

I do believe you got this one twisted beyond repair now. I didn't make that decision...nor have that opinion.... but OK!

Try to read messages with an impartial mind, without taking everything personal.
It's the standard Cancerian life lesson...just as letting go of materialism is the standard Capricorn life lesson, and the fear of injustice and imbalance is the Libran one.

Everywhere I have been in my life, where people have gathered around a dinner table,
they have sooner of later started talking about all the subjects which are being discussed here at Avalon.
After they are done talking about food, sports, cars, sex, and fashions,
they get to politics (check), then religion (check), then inventions (check),
then ETs (check), then ghosts (check), then dreams (check) ....and sometimes, but less often, even death (check).

LOL I NEVER have dinner with anyone who discusses the second list in any way shape or form....just the basics..money, jobs, shows, movies, the latest gadgets...One of the main reasons im here and don't leave MMAWUHhahahahahaha

Our family dinner conversations have always started in the dark humour of death, even when I was a child. Otherwise the dinner is silent, as the rest of it is considered to be dead air (hehheh), and wasted space.

My wife is Sag as well ... you mean 3 days off opposition from your natal sun???

[btw ... she has both venus and mars in scorpio ... so between that and working the night shift it should be obvious why I have no energy for anything else eh???]

PL, I'm a Leo... Leo's definitely need to be mindful of arrogance in all of its forms. I also have a Virgo moon. It's a very feminine sign, but also can be cold and very heady. An arrogant Leo with a cold heart that is in their head all the time is a disaster. lol. My journey is balancing the heart and mind.

I study astrology, planet placement in the signs and the houses. Also read up on Mayan, Toltec, Aruvedic, Tibetan, Egyptian, Native American and ancient astrology. I have found it all very fascinating and will be something I do for the rest of my life;am always learning something new. Whenever anyone on the forum talks about astrology I pay attention.

While looking for images for Leo I came across this beautiful mystical picture.

Isn't it amazing how much easier it is to understand people with just some basic astro knowledge???

Never tried to predict the future ... I always opted to ride the experience ... but reading and understanding others is such a great gift that saves so much misunderstanding once you know even the barest of facts.

Yep, our natal suns are 3 days off opposite. My biggest challenge to this day is not overwhelming people through my verbal communication. I constantly have to monitor the speed and volume of my speech. With an Aires moon and Venus and Ascendant in Cancer, I have some balance of sorts from the cold and windy Gemini.

Predicting the future can be tricky as the future is not fixed, and is the outcome of many different factors,
of which astrological conditions are only a minor one.

Here in Cartago, Costa Rica, we have the world's worst sidewalks,
and if I see a Costa Rican and an American girl walking down the road in town,
and the American is wearing practical shoes, and the Costa Rican is wearing high stilettos heels,
one would assume that if one of them were to trip and fall it would most likely be the Costa Rican girl,
because of those shoes. Wrong.
Because there is that extra factor of expectation...the habit of walking on flat asphalt runs deep, and no way
can one learn as a visitor to watch the ground all the time if one is not used to it..
Now, if one of these two were to have transiting Mars forming a right angle to the position of their natal Uranus,
those other factors would be overruled, because the planets mess up the person's physical coordination.
Unless they are trained acrobats, or ballet dancers, of course.

Raspberry yogurt, none of us will be able to live that one down. Once something is known... I really go out of my way now (LOL)to buy organic yogurt or raw milk, organic raspberries and raw honey and mix my own. Sometimes I add a banana.

Raspberry quite a tasteful-distasteful expression. When I was around the elder women in my family, from Up-state New York near the finger lakes area and black Irish farm girls, once in a while I heard the odd old fashioned Victorian euphemism expression. I also heard them refer to raspberry as wine.

A bit more on rasberry.
'Raspberry tart' is an example of Cockney rhyming slang. It is the source of the term 'raspberry' - the derisive sound, imitative of a fart, made pressing the lips together and 'blowing a raspberry'.

'Raspberry' has become accepted into polite language in circumstances where 'fart' might be thought unsuitable (in a manner like the term 'berk', which derives from 'Berkshire hunt' - a rhyming slang term for what is often referred to just as 'the C word'). These are presumably both acceptable as they follow the rhyming slang pattern of adopting the non-rhyming word from a slang phrase as the synonym for the original. To anyone unfamiliar with the rhyming slang origin the words 'raspberry' or 'berk' could cause no offence - similarly 'ginger', 'hampton' and 'khyber'.

This device allowed British comedians of the post-WWII period to get risqué material past the BBC censors. At that time the BBC was especially vigilant at censoring any script that might be thought to contain explicit material, as is made evident by readin their Green Book of unacceptable language. Spike Milligan, in his Goon Show scripts, made something of a game at sneaking in material which the audience would understand as a double-entendre but which the censors might miss; for example, their 1978 recording The Raspberry Song:

(Bloodnok) Don't tell me he's come to stay
(Secombe) Let the wardens here him say
Fruit's in season! Let's be merry! Apples, plums and the old raspberry
Everything is fresh today
(Bloodnok) Don't let him get near me, please!

(Secombe) Every Friday night when work is done
He doesn't waste a minute
To the prison warden he hurries 'round where he sings just like a linnet
To hear him blow a melody it's great, you can't deny it
And if you've nothing else to do,
we'd like the screws to try it
(Bloodnok) No more, please!

Milligan later collaborated with Ronnie Barker on the Two Ronnies sketches The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town. In addition to the part-writing of the script he was credited with the sound effects: "Raspberries Professionally blown by Spike Milligan." http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/298362.html

My here and now... I'm sitting on my friends front porch in blustering winds -windy on the prairie. Looking at the largest squirrel I've ever seen climb a tree. Super squirrel WoW. The size of a prairie dog. The ones in California aren't that big.

They have the guy. It was not a robbery. He had planned it, even dug their graves beforehand.
He had been watching them go to this remote spot. Saw them one day while he was out shooting birds.

His father took him to the police, where all was revealed.
He had tied her up first, then cut up the boy with his machete before shooting him.
Then he proceeded to rape the girl before killing her, too.
I'm shocked now, having heard the story from a relative.
Our community is no longer living up to its name (Paraiso, which means Paradise)

and 500$ to our efforts,

http://www.gofundme.com/CruzanCowgirls-RescueFund

we completed our 1.5 acer fense (mostly trees I cut down, trimmed then wired together to other trees... haha it's been repaired a few times by now, Horses sure will teach you how to make a fence RIGHT...haha) we've had so much support for helping horses on this island it's amazing, and all in about 5 months (or so) of working on it.
https://www.facebook.com/cruzancowgirlshorserescue
we've almost completed another 1.2 acer fenced area (most of our yard) for the Thoroughbred horses (rescues from the local race track) that have to have a fenced yard to graze in (most the island horses we rescue can be tied to ropes, since they have lived that way their whole life, we however, use halters instead of a rope around the neck (which is a big cause of equine fatality on the island)).

we are being featured at an animal welfare conference this Saturday and have had multiple area's of land "donated for use" with our cause.

So, for every bad egg there are at LEAST 9 good ones, they just tend to be less noticeable with out the right thing to get behind.

if they are healthy and cared for 30 years isn't unheard of.. haha

we are already getting multiple calls, we jumped from 11 to 17 over last weekend so it seems like "word" has spread... we've also taken on a goat and a dog, much to our kids delight... haha!

I really don't mind at all, even though I'm mostly the labor/funder of the project it's nice to help out and we have some horses that are really sweet once you teach them that humans are nice and friendly.. plus I've gotten to learn how to ride horses in the last few months (funny enough, I'd never really done that before this).

it seems like this is my path right now, why not embrace it! hell, I've even come to enjoy horse smell, which at first I equated a bit to B.O. (haha); now I think it's a pleasant smell that I don't mind coming home to when I go out to check the fences and say hi to our 1,200-1,600 pound new friends.

to finish the story, to complete the picture:

The woman at the door falteringly steps back, and says "Jesus!" in an almost confused half mutter.

The man, confused and not clear from just waking up, worries that she might fall backward on the step, cocks his head to the side, looks through and past her, for the fall, his eyes still clouded from sleep..holds his hand out to gently grab her arm...and says, "Yes?"

Even as a very compassionate person I quite often find it hard to be patient with the people still believing in the dream and sometimes I am frustrated. Younger souls are supposed to believe in the illusion (maya) and experience it so that they could develop and be more compassionate persons eventually. And then I remember again that even though we are a collective, still every single human being has their own journey to go through. Things will unfold as they're supposed to.

The numbers in the Matrix are code and the Matrix is a computer simulation. Everything is made of the same conscious energy and the normal human eyes can't fully perceive it. That's why we must learn to use our third eyes (inner guidance)...

I started the sociopath and brainscan thread, not as a hit job tied to the idea of elimination, but to render their allowance into this collective dream, as a non-dangerous contribution. To remove them from systems of power, and control, so their damage is minimized.

Megalomania as a method of teaching lessons to all involved has reached a point where it is no longer functional or allowable. Therefore it's elimination is assured.

A new and very potent tool appeared in the public eye, just the other day, and I posted it in that thread.

As more and more beings share this planet, in their given incarnations, and as the technology advances in complexity and more specifically potency (a dramatic increase in potency), a reduction in access to power for the sociopathic and psychopathic must be enacted. MUST. Otherwise the system will fail.

I wanted to share something cute and sweet (for a change, because for anyone who has read anything I have been scribbling lately knows I am a bit of a hard candy).

I am having some trouble sleep if I put my mind to work, which is almost non stop these days. Just so it happens that this mind overrides all other physical needs and activities.

Last night I went to bed a bit earlier that the usual 3 am. Like 2.30 am ... :)

And I had this amazing dream I have had for some time, with lots of action in it (which almost faded away completely by the time when I am writing about it now). But I do remember I had a kitten that was stuck to me and was with me all along my adventures. It was literary stuck to me, her or his nails and paws holding to my t-shirt or whatever I was wearing. It didn't scratch me at all. And it was this pure 'love' being. It was small, it had reddish white fur and it was very cute, that is the impression it gave me. I have seen my power animals before, like bees, wolves, dogs, not to mention snakes, but for the first time it was a baby cat.

Few years back we had a mister cat that was like a small version of a black panther, but just white. It had the temper of a panther. Some freak children here decided to shoot at the cat, beat it to death and I rescued it several times over, receiving some deep scratches while doing it, but also seeing in its eyes total understanding and thankfulness.
I saw it coming back to me. And I am happy today.

3:15 am, in the given local area, is considered 'the witching hour', when the deepest part of our dimensional connections are as potent as they are ever going to be, during the given 24 period. If one wants to dream and connect, then going to sleep well before 3am is generally...what works best.

I covered the subject of the witching hour, the motion of the planets and the moon, the dark matter excitations, van allen belts, astral spaces and doorways near this planet, boundary layers, etc..somewhere on this forum...(diagrams, imagery, and so on)

Our bodies are designed for a time before artificial props as technology, lighting etc. We are designed to go to sleep when it gets dark out and the body functions best under those norms.

Mind blown. How? Looking within, allowing.

Things will unfold as they're supposed to.

aTL4qIIxg8A

Yes and it MUST come from us the human beings here and now. Assistance may come once we started.

How to get people to agree to it is the culprit.. how?

Not just any theorist, but THE quantum theorist. HIS math, HIS understanding, HIS ideas.

Note that even back then, Max said 'minute solar system' (atomic component distances and sizes are a near perfect relation to the solar system). The 'as above, so below' principle and global scaling theory (http://globalscalingtheory.com/)held true, right from the beginnings of quantum theory. Even how atoms and quantum components function in relation to one another, holds true in global scaling. Jumproom to mars, wormholes, teleportation, quantum entanglement, all the same.

It is working or functioning, right now. The 'chop wood, carry water' scenario, right here. This forum is part of that effort. The thing to be done until something more effective comes along. Groundwork must be laid. Can't plant until you turn the soil.

Somewhere on Avalon today they posted a video of a talk Aldous Huxley gave in 1961 at Berkeley ...

I found that studying things like numbers is very good,

Because all studies, if done sincerely, lead to the discovery of higher truth.
The mind then boggles....

Here and now...Life is not what is appears. And I have a lot to uncover. I was going to say I have a lot to learn, but that is not wholly accurate. I have a long way to go...yet...possibly the biggest hurdle for me is Trusting what comes. The connection gets stronger, then I doubt. One day it will happen...or possibly over many days. It is a matter of finding the Will to continue to touch the Infinite. One might think this would be an easy task. Or perhaps one would think the task is impossible. But...it is the task set before me.

One step at a time, one day at a time, one nudge from the little voice at a time.

It is in here. And I will find it.

After at visit with the purple lama I thought you would be ready to take on the universe, like a boss.

I had those thoughts yesterday, too, about one step at a time. But then I got struck with
One step, and you are there. And then I was THERE, in the infinite. Peace, silence, no ruffles at all.
But today my body is saying tired tired tired. And rest rest rest. And my mind is saying get up and DO something.
So with body and mind battling like this I have to confess I lost the connection, yet again.
It won't be forever, but for now I have to ride this one out.
Mercury square moon, transiting today.

No, I'm not myself today.
Je suis Salome... I am romantic
Je suis Apollo... I am gigantic
Hey! Stronzo,
I'm standing next to you in the supermarket
Yeah! Your are obvious, I am oblivious

Salome, Apollo, in Technicolour
I walked on the moon to touch the stars,
A legend in my lifetime.
Oh momma! My Rosa! From an early age
I was used and abused, no more those bad reviews
Take me back to '72 my coo ca choo,
Oh! Ignorance was bliss,
Spunk-a-flow, to the joy of my first kiss

I'm not me... I'm not me... I'm not me... not me...
Non sono io!

Oh my lord, I'm so bored, what's on the TV?
Do we really need these pissy popstars
When there's not enough of me!
Oh Dada, my Dali, un chien de Lou Lou...
I am the art in your party,
Not a twist cap sniffing bore.
It's tough in the queue, it's as unto a platform shoe,
Oh! Trampled underfoot,
I'm Fred Astaire, I face the music and dance.

I'm not me... I'm not me... I'm not me... not me...
No I'm not myself... today

Oh glorioso deliver us not into frustration

Salome, Apollo, in Technicolour,
I walked on the moon to touch the stars.
Hey Stronzo... Ancora!

I'm not me... I'm not me... I'm not me... not me...
Non sono io!
Heave ho... heave ho...

Leonardo! Marlon Brando! Machiavelli!
And Bertolt's Belly!
A millionaire with curly hair, I'm your burning empire.

Greta Garbo! Andy Warhol! And his jam-roll!
Nero plays his violin, Seezer his accordian

I'm sitting in the bathtub watching the dirty water
Swirl down the plughole... and on my stereo...

I went to an informal dinner party last night with folks I have known for a long time, just 10 or so. I have socialised with these people a number of times before and it was always just polite social chit chat, which bores the crap out of me. Last night though was different... there was a distinct feeling of love and brotherhood and genuine acceptance and friendship that made a situation I was not looking forward to, an absolute pleasure.. what a lovely, tangible indication of changing consciousness.
At one stage during the evening 9/11 came up and I was surprised to hear that all but one had changed from believing the mainstream story (Some of these folks that I had talked to about 9/11 previously so I knew their stance) to a more educated viewpoint.

After at visit with the purple lama I thought you would be ready to take on the universe, like a boss.

Well, I’ll tell you. Standing at the fire altar was an amazing experience. After several libations, it got quite…surreal. Lines started to blur. And when he handed me something and said to do thus and such with it, I *knew* I could. I was. I will. And I have, and I do. Standing side by side, there is no doubt whatsoever.

That happens right before the thoughts come. Thoughts like, “Aw hell, that’s impossible. How could that possibly be? That is outside the realm of logic. That cannot happen. This is not real.”

Another, more concrete, more easily described, example is this. I was playing with PL’s very special little boys. And five other “children” appeared to me. Three on the right, two on the left. And they were very happy, excited. Not children of matter. Not ghosts. Not spirits. For a split second, I *knew* beyond any doubt they were there. I could see them, sense them, watch them, and enjoy them.

And after about a minute, I was doubting whether that could actually happen. It did happen. I know it did. So why would I need reassurance from anyone else that they were there? I couldn’t explain their presence. Were these children real? A figment of my imagination? What were they? Was it a memory of lifetimes ago? Was it in this moment? (Which are the same thing depending on where I’m centered.) I think it is my mind, trained ever so well, trying to make sense of things. Things which cannot be taken apart and analyzed but must be accepted. In order to cope, they must just be accepted.

Or possibly that is not my mind at all, but the trained outer lying influence pushing its way in to subtly make me lose my mind.

That’s where the feeling of insanity comes from. For me anyway.

Meditation is the only place of solace. Problem is, to get to that one single beautiful place of all and nothing, even for a moment, I have to fight that battle on another level entirely. The back and forth just will not shut up. So it is a matter of watching to see what is outer and what is inner. And for me, this is not always an easy task. Outside thoughts can be disguised very well…when looking for the place of no thought, spiritual thought is still thought, and thus not what I want.

Sorry, I ramble I think. I am off to battle the thoughts in order to find a moment of solace and connection.

Blessings to you All and Much Love,

PurpleLama

I got the crazy glances when I purchased Mein Kampf at Booksamillion.

Not a lot of replies in such a scenario, only options are:
"This isn't what it looks like" or "I'm not crazy!"

The problem with that is whenever someone says something like that it is definitely what it looks like or that person is definitely crazy.

Speaking of which, still never did read it. It's on the shelf.

I tell people everyday about as many things as I can including Fukushima and most say oh yea
I kinda remember that several years ago.......

At the grocery store or restaurants I am always asking where the seafood came from and half never know
and almost all do not care and then I show them my gamma scout rad detector and they all go white.

One of these days it will start chirping...............

I bought this little guy, as I wanted to have something, and it is all I could afford.

http://www.soeks-usa.com/product/radiation-detector-soeks-01m/

At first I was looked at like I was crazy.

Now people ask me what the history of the readings are, if there is any change.

levels HAVE gone above background levels, more than once. the trick is to see if it is radon levels. To take a rain reading and then let the rain soaked rag or paper-towel sit for a about half an hour, and test again.

We can get ionizing radiation, as a source point, in rain. Which is why rainwater and or the morning dew of the full moon...is used in making the philosopher's stone.

from the NASA article...

Water becomes supercritical when it compressed to a pressure of 217 atmospheres and heated above 373o C. Above that so-called critical point, ordinary H2O transforms into something that is neither solid, liquid, nor gas. It's more of a "liquid-like gas."

And the Blacklight guy took it to the next step, and grinds/crushes the water so hard, between spinning gears, that it shoots out into a plasma flame of massive current levels, so we get a huge power excess between the electrodes of his device.

This is all connected to Brown's gas, the same thing, again.

As the water flows to the bottom of the ocean, full of particulate, it slowly becomes more and more compressed. Up to 15,750 psi (1000 times the standard atmospheric pressure!) and 5% smaller volume per mass. Thus, ocean water, salt, light, agitation, layers, motion, sediments at the molecular and atomic dispersion level and thus the entire ocean bottom is coated with rare earth elements and ORMUS containing powders that were all slowly brought into existence, in the same way that a alchemist cooks it into existence. Like the different salt lakes of the world.

Again, all the same thing.

So, this morning, beginning another work week after a long and pleasurable weekend, the cyclical return of my old nemesis, Entropy, reared its ugly head. I don't know if its astrological, or just series of catalysts set in place for me to endure and overcome, but every so often, I am hit with incredibly annoying and frustrating entropy. I can't complain too much, there have been neither death nor disease, but I digress.

First thing at 6:00 AM this morning, I pour the boiling water into the French press, and the glass carafe explodes. Next, shivering in the cold of early morning in my poorly-insulated house, I wait for the water to turn hot in the shower. And wait. And wait. I get out and check the breakers. Then I check the fusebox (it's an old house, still has screw in fuses). The small electrical tool that checks the fuses fizzes out on me. That damn thing broke, too! So, beset with Entropy's successes, I endured a cold shower on a cold morning. I've been laying low today waiting for the next thing to fall apart as it usually does during these cycles.

Tomorrow the temp at daybreak will be around 20 F. May the good Lord please help me figure out how to fix that hot water heater by tonight. Here's to the opposite of entropy! Cheers!

Bring two or more large saucepans of water to the boil, pour that into your tub,
add cold water until the temperature is bearable, and you can sit in that
while you wash yourself with a soapy facecloth.
You may also wish to add some Epsom salts.

Yea, good idea. I'll have enough time to do that tomorrow morning. Just after I posted that, my wife called to tell me that child number 2, aged 3.5, the child that gravity affects more severely (she is always falling down), fell off a bench while holding the crystal butter dish in her hand. The dish shattered and some shards were stuck in her hand. My wife made the comment that it would be easier to clean her hand if they had hot water. I told her she better put the kettle on. Ha! And the day goes on.....

Ah, crystal butter dish.
How about stainless steel?
Sounds like one of those traditional wedding presents.
My one and only butter dish is acrylic, dark kobalt blue base and clear lid.
I've had it so long I'm sick of looking at it.
Childproof.

You better get a stack of old newspapers and masking tape and insulate the house when you get back from work.
Works wonders, especially when you cover the cracks in your floor boards.

Yesterday was a day of waterworks here. That will happen. Best to let them flow, as a friend put it.

We laid our friend to rest, the girls grew up with him. He was here to see them through their childhood(s) I guess. And his job is done. I will miss him, even his click click click across the hard floor. Toothless, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. He was fast, loved to run. Did so with such grace and speed. He has chased off many dangers for us, left us in awe every time, what with no front teeth. He managed to chase off a dog twice his size just last week to protect us. Somehow he compensated. And loved his squeeky toys, haha. He would sit by my feet and suck on his toy like a baby does a pacifier. That was funny. Anyway, he was about 10.

I'm so thankful it happened close to home, and in the light of day, but before Em got home from school. So she didn't have to see. We will have to think of a proper send off, though I don't have experience in these matters. Except for the bird that I found last year, and I remember saying a few words when I buried him. I think Ho'oponopono is what came to mind then.

Well, I guess this will find its place, like everything eventually does. Good bye, my sweet, sweet boy.

Here and now...feeling a bit bitter. I guess I'm not sure bitter is the word. I'm feeling a little set up for heartbreak. What can we love that does not lead to heartbreak and loss? Not one damned thing, that's what. It all ends. It's either death or break. It's either loss...or loss. It's either pain...or pain. Another day of waterworks? Well, if that's what it is then I will keep it away from here best I can.

on another forum I frequent I recently called out poor behavior /decision making; I may have gone a bit too far but I really don't think so.

I pointed out the flaws of a man that many people have known for a long time, he's been on this island for 20+ years and met some resistance to what I felt was "the truth" being spilled out in a public space.

The internet is like a billboard that never gets erased, it's there for all to see and reference, for ever. The internet doesn't care if you are a different person tomorrow, or yesterday or three years ago.. it just keeps what you put there, forever. I wonder what the implications of this are, how it effects human interactions.

I think it is a good thing.

To consume and absorb our issues, new and old,and to finally understand that in the context of now, that..beyond the idea of growth and change from those times and ways of self being..that they are meaningless in the given moment of now evolution.

To have the tearing asunder of clear thought... that is brought about by instinct and emotion, to have those attempts of clarity blockage be waterboarded for so long, that it just can't hold the line anymore..and finally lets go. That emotion and instinct let go as we age in these human bodies and finally..clarity begins to emerge in older years, if we can keep the mind young and clear, with health and exercise.

To make that relaxation happen in younger years, though waterboarding it to the point that it can't hold thought from occurring anymore. The body yields control back to the 'self/mind' as it is broken and stressed past the limit, due to unrelenting exposure of it's own past and what is going on out there.

That my warts and the shining moments as a collective, make me what I am now. To do a life review, and look back and say "change? ..not a damn thing. God or bad, it is what it is....and I am this moment."

To bring humanity as a collective, into that understanding of record and self, the meaning and position of each, into the constantly changing and flowing moment of now.

From that comes perspective, and projection, to flow into future ...to move that ...into the moment of now.

The beginnings of the understanding that history does not have to helplessly be the projection of future, to become the now.

That reflection of past ..ultimately...does not bring harm, but clarity and a better now, due to projection of a better future, via clearing that past from that projection.

This is how an individual clears themselves...and this is how the collective is doing it. How it is being taught to do it, via this record/recording instrument, called the internet.

It is up to us, who would show the way, to find it within ourselves.

Don't forget the balance.
I'm not sure who made that chart, but my guess is that it was made to help someone
who has excessive cravings and developed dependencies on
addictive foods. Which is not always a good thing either.

And if we all did as you suggest, which is do away with education and recommendations altogether
we would end up leaving our babies in the woods, for nature, wolves and inner voices to raise them...Anastasia style.
I'm sure that could work for some, but not all.

Just the other day I was thinking that since so many people have done away with religious laws and leaders
a whole new breed of way showers have replaced them, in their need to show others the way.
One only needs to look at the Vegan versus meat discussions.
So the result is endless "shall" and "shall not" rules being bandied about.

So I realise that by placing that nutrition chart here I'm guilty of doing the same.

Still, where is the line to be drawn when it comes to opinions being expressed?

I'd like to sit on a bench all afternoon and watch people go by. Chill in the tropical sense, as Ulli does.
I am the most un-motivated I've ever been at work. Going out at lunch to run an errand did not help, only made it worse.
It probably has to do with questioning where I put my energy in the world ... my time and resources.
Lucky that I'm caught up. Sit, think, coast along ...

Sth completely different:
Just learned about the existence of Peter Gene Hernandez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_mars).
: Throughout a singing career spanning 3 years, he has sold 10 million albums and 58 million singles worldwide.
Including not only his work as a singer but as a songwriter and producer as well, his total single download sales surpass 115 million worldwide.
He has achieved a total of five number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and seven top ten singles, as a solo artist placing himself in the record books by being the second solo artist to do so after Richard Marx.
He reached first place with "Just the Way You Are", which sold 12.5 million copies and contributed to Mars becoming the best-selling digital artist in 2011.
In 2011, Mars was named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world.
Never heard (anything anywhere) of that guy.:p

Oh, and Dan33...memory stirrer that you are....
These lines triggered long forgotten memories of mine.
of when I worked as a projectionist at night, while an art student during the day, in London, UK

These lines refer to a movie I used to show,
"Un Chien Andqlou" by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali
During the most surreal period of my life.

Dalí asking a "traffic warden" in Barcelona, 1958.

Eckhart on the Dark Night of the Soul

Q: Have you ever experienced the dark night of the soul? Your teachings have been so helpful through this difficult period. Can you address this subject?

A: The “dark night of the soul” is a term that goes back a long time. Yes, I have also experienced it. It is a term used to describe what one could call a collapse of a perceived meaning in life…an eruption into your life of a deep sense of meaninglessness. The inner state in some cases is very close to what is conventionally called depression. Nothing makes sense anymore, there’s no purpose to anything. Sometimes it’s triggered by some external event, some disaster perhaps, on an external level. The death of someone close to you could trigger it, especially premature death, for example if your child dies. Or you had built up your life, and given it meaning – and the meaning that you had given your life, your activities, your achievements, where you are going, what is considered important, and the meaning that you had given your life for some reason collapses.

There is one image or analogy in 'the Dark Night of the Soul'....
the original book, by St. John of the Cross....

The same way a mother puts a child onto its feet, so that it might try and walk, when it has not yet taken the first step...
so it feels totally insecure, as it can't see yet what is expected...
so equally in our spiritual journey we are placed in the Dark Night...a doldrums kind of situation...
where the Self is expected to find it's inner strength, that internal light switch, rather than depend on externals.

Dearest One, it may feel like you are alone but you are not.

Lately I keep getting memories popping up ... here's another one.
I guess I have some hope you may find something in it to help you.
My older son was a boy scout, and was interested in the Indian lore. He was given membership in the group Order of the Arrow. One of the requirements was that he spend a night alone in the woods. He had to make his own sleeping bag out of minimal materials, and he had to spend the time (all weekend) without speaking. It seemed he was on his own.
But he wasn't really on his own. He didn't know that there were several men, the troop leaders, within earshot of him. They spent the night standing guard in turn in case the task was too much for him.

It was an initiation, as this is for you. You may feel alone, but you're not. And besides, you can do this.

Things get easier. Morning comes. It all falls into place in new and better ways.

<popping head above ground> There really is a light at the end of this underground tunnel!

Hello Village--
I'm here-- just been lurking, immersed in the depths exploring the subterranean terrain of my soul. Finally, I have dug enough dirt to once again reach the surface. However, after having experienced a day of overwhelming emotional purging without a specific catalyst to connect it to-- I am quite content to retreat down below again and explore the various passages still left unexplored. And seriously, to really stretch this metaphor to the max, this is HUGE for me-- considering I am a major claustrophobic.

Apparently, from what I have eavesdropped on-- this has been a common theme to many of us here--whew.

As I try to get my eyes readjusted to the light and gradually resurface-- I'm here. I love you all. Though my gratitude may be quiet as of late, so many of your posts have been a source of great support.

Modwiz is one in a million. He challenged members and mods alike, but in my opinion, the wizard was a great member and his presence is sorely missed.

If there were any way that differences could be set aside, that all parties could come to an understanding, it would be a great achievement for Avalon.

This is the best forum of its kind, and it is only strengthened by having the best and brightest all in one place working together.

I know there were ruffled feathers when he left, and that he caused moderation a lot of headaches, but I'm hoping Bill and the moderation team would consider giving him another shot.

I know it's a big ask, and I recognise how challenging it would be.

But I'm hoping that Mod and the moderation team have both softened to the possibility of a fresh start.

For me, the dark night was losing everything. I lost my beloved, my job, my kids disowned me, I was broke and on the edge of homelessness, and I felt utterly shattered. But, what I really lost were the personalities, identities and attachments to who i "thought" I was, such as: Who are you when you are not a husband, a father, a carpenter, a lover, a citizen, and the myriad of personages we identify with? WHO are we when we strip all that away and there is nothing but the true essence of me sitting in a pool of nothingness, no attachments, no personages, and no structures and beliefs?

I don't usually waste my time commenting within these social networking threads. I have bigger fish to fry.

But, the topic on the table has perked my attention.

In response to 1inMany's question, I would have to submit the following:

This is my best description of what the 'dark night of the soul' represents:

Visualize all of those who believe that Yahweh/Jehovah of the Old Testament is somehow a God of Unconditional Love.
And while sitting at his feet in a circle around his throne in Paradise - all singing Kumbaya - suddenly one has an epiphany that the entire fantasy was a ruse.... a cartoon.
At that moment one comes to the realization that their eternal soul is the main course at this Grand Banquet.
That is the darkest night of the soul, because it means one is about to spend another eternity within this ass-biting-loop of birth-death-rebirth.

7. Likewise, from the aridities and voids of this night of the desire,
the soul draws spiritual humility, which is the contrary virtue to the
first capital sin, which, as we said, is spiritual pride. Through this
humility, which is acquired by the said knowledge of self, the soul is
purged from all those imperfections whereinto it fell with respect to
that sin of pride, in the time of its prosperity. For it sees itself so
dry and miserable that the idea never even occurs to it that it is
making better progress than others, or outstripping them, as it
believed itself to be doing before. On the contrary, it recognizes that
others are making better progress than itself.

On the subject of dark night of the soul, which was (here and now) there and then, I want to say thank you. Thank you observer, for your perspective. Though the here and now is not a social networking thread, I will of course respect your viewpoint. If you only knew. (After all, you would not post in a social networking thread, would you? I dare say most of us here would not…) In any case, your thoughts on the dark night are heard and appreciated.

@grip: Thank you for sharing such a powerful transformational experience. I wish to say it helps to know I might be writing words of encouragement to someone some day about how I made it through. I wish to say that. I hope to. Some day. Such a painful experience.

@Marianne: Thank you for sharing your memory. Your strength at allowing your son to be challenged in that way actually speaks volumes to your Trust. I imagine that weekend was tough for both of you. I can’t fathom that, not right now. But look at how it turned out. Sigh. And to your message of not being alone…on some level I do know that, but this darned experience of walking in the dark prevents me (at times) from knowing that. So thank you for the reminder also.

@Amandapoet: Oh honey, my prayers and love are with you. Rest assured. Any time you want to stop in and share, please do.

@meeradas and ulli and skippy and eaglespirit: thank you for the several quotes from and references to that book. He certainly does express my own experience very well. I am also left pondering your words, eaglespirit, “massive growth ensues if chosen and acted upon…”

@calz: You are right. I don’t see any other way one could open a gift with hands full of boxes. One must get rid of the old to receive the new. Wisdom you speak.

@PL: The past six months…I see. It doesn’t help in this moment, not that I know of, but now I see.

@carmody: Thank you for talking about the “Fire Sale” so long ago. Quite fitting, as I come up for air.

@Kryon: Thank you for explaining things in a way that my mind doesn't ask a million questions. And dammit, thank you for recognizing.

And to everyone who has stopped to read my words, my thoughts, my innermost struggles. I thank you. We help each other in ways we cannot know, just by sharing the energies we do. By reading, by thinking a thought however small, by pondering our own sh!t…we share this experience whether we like, we thank, we post………or not.

Here and now…all must go. All beliefs. All identities. All attachments. Quite painful. And it is overwhelming as hell to do this all at once.

Much Love,

(now to go revisit the past few days of Village life to make sure I didn't forget anyone...)

All I have to say to 1inMany is this:
to BE in the HERE and NOW
all you have to do is BECOME an observer.
Don't worry about who you think you were in the past. Just observe.
When you encounter a problem, you will automatically jump in with the solution.
All old souls do.

It is quite simple, really.

It's how it all works.

Of course you are right. But...it would seem that everything I hold dear is coming up for review. And although it is simple, it is also a war. It feels a lot like sitting back and observing myself try on different outfits and then taking them off and throwing them in the fire. So while it is passive it is also active. Because I'm not going after each belief I have ever held, it comes after me. For example, Devin's passing. Who would have thought this would touch me so? I wouldn't have. And his passing brought up some sludge that was heavier to shovel than a 6' snow drift. Every situation, almost every moment, throws something into my consciousness I need to get rid of.

And what's left? That is exactly what everyone is pointing to here. What is left? Who is left?

Not who I thought, that is for certain.

And I do pull myself back to watch, to observe. It's a loop. I just hope it isn't an endless loop.

ulli

The answer is very simple.
What is left, WHO is left, is the OBSERVER.
The observer appeared in the here and now to give you the answer, not necessarily by writing, but by BEING.

Imagine observing flies under a microscope.
Does the observing scientist say: 'this fly and that fly needs to be thrown in the fire'?
No, he makes no judgement. He just observes and learns.
He might say 'Aha! here we have green wings', or
'Look at those eyes!'

So, equally, when you start observing the self in action, as an impartial observer,
you might say: Oh, look at her now, trying to burn her past'.
Or, 'Look at her now, judging herself' ...

You keep on going through the motions, of your daily routine, and you observe,
with loving eyes, if you want.
No judgement. The way God would.
Or the way you would like to think God would be watching you.

And if you can keep this up, more and more, the only ONE who then remains is not the 1inMany, but the ONE.
The observing SELF.

As I sat and listened to this last night, I got chills all over and a tear or two fell. I thought of this band as all the souls in the Universe. And I wondered if this is how we look, we feel, we sound to God, who/whatever that is. Many individuals, blending. I cannot describe the way music explains things to me sometimes. But...it is as if we each have a sound, and each sound when joined with all the others might make some type of symphony. The crescendos, the conflict and resolution. And this particular song sounds like a motion picture theme. Just like life, getting to this point was a tremendous amount of work. Bobbles and squeaks, quacks and off-rhythms. And in the end, the flow is spectacular. The blend, exquisite. Honestly. The individual parts, but...the group melded as One.

Kind of a wow moment amongst the crap. I am looking forward to receiving the CD from the evening. For now, this is what I have. Em's favorite. And mine, too.

to BE in the HERE and NOW
all you have to do is BECOME an observer.
Don't worry about who you think you were in the past. Just observe.

It is quite simple, really.

It's how it all works.

From the same thread. Let's take a look at the next card. We see a wheel in movement. Two animals obviously attached to the wheel going up and down, and up and down. At the top, on a plateau, a sphinx-like creature in a fixed position overlooking, observing the scene. The Wheel of Fortune is the card of the cycles of time and the secret of the sphinx. Another reference to transcendental consciousness and an invitation to move beyond the appearances and distractions of time. Witness of the eternal returning of the same. Beingness at the other side of time and history.

Hi Eagle Scout
The trouble with Clif High's method is that it takes all the junk on the internet along with the rest, including all the fear, the fearmongering and the new age old money fakery, instead of heavily weighting his data with the positive stuff come outing of the Here and Now thread and other like-minded sites.

Or to put it another way, his net catches the big fish and lets through the sprats and sardines that we tend to prefer and of course the tiny krill that Ulli's pet whale likes to feed on.

Hi 1inMany
This tree diagram sounds about right. In The White Goddess, the poet Robert Graves describes how in ancient Celtic society, ‘tree’ means ‘letter’, hence with the earliest known Irish alphabet, the name Beth-Luis-Nion (B L N) means Birch-Rowan-Ash. ‘Beech’ is synonymous with and etymologically linked to ‘book’. There is also a tree for each day of the week/each planet, so I guess there might well be a tree for each month/sign as well. This calendar uses the same ‘trees’ including the reed, and in the same order, so I would say it is not bogus in any way.

Yesterday we got a dusting of powdery snow that blew off the roads as soon as a car drove over it. Still freaked out most southerners here. Further south there was considerable snow (for here) and roads were closed, people stuck where they were. Sheesh, I coulda stayed in New Hampshire for this.

7 degrees F on the mountain this morning. I conceded to the cold and wore a coat instead of my usual jacket. Let the car warm up 15 minutes instead of jumping in and taking off cold.

LOL, Grip. Love pinata humor.

Playdo, thanks for the link ... I can picture you having a fun time with the kids. The best thing about having kids (and grandkids) is returning to that creative child-state yourself, where all things are possible.

Skyflower, loving that you are holding a positive here and now on the coast. I am with you. We have too many good souls there to let anything happen.

Meeradas, thanks for the links and videos. I'll try to watch ... am getting better at facing everything.

Araucaria, it's so good to see you again. Thanks for the reminder of 'The White Goddess'--going to dig into it again soon.

I've been using the micromat, and it's a great resource. I don't have too many issues if I'm eating right, but have found it boosts my mood (there's a setting for Mood!) and increases my energy. Today after work I'll take it to my mom's and try it on her. She's having stomach problems and diabetic leg issues. I'll let you all know how it goes. The use of vibration in healing has come up lately, as syncs do around here.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Here is snowy and chilly mostly, but not so hard on us as usually is during January/ February.

I asked yesterday, while under the shower, for some help for understanding something that was bothering me during the whole day, something really personal, and during my sleep the help appeared in the form of a dream.

Many times these days and months my ears ring independently. One at a time. I have managed to put some meaning in this, but could be all wrong.
Definitely the connections though are getting stronger.

I saw yesterday a celtic sign chart on my FB page. According to it I was a seahorse... According to the posted here I am a bee or owl. I think i trust this one more, I am a bee. :)

I was wondering if anyone knew about that:
http://www.collective-evolution.com/2014/01/25/help-stop-denmarks-annual-festival-of-massive-whale-and-dolphin-slaughter/
I felt physical pain just as trying to read it to the end.

I am also looking at the Hawthorn tree, chocolate. Finding this part interesting:

The Celts understood the power of balance. They also knew that what could not be attributed to specific outcomes (as sometimes evident in the dance of contradictions played out by the hawthorn) indicated a great source of magic. In other words, that which cannot be explained contains immense power.

The hawthorn is to be respected in all its diversity and duality. It is a symbol of union of opposites, and serves as a message for us to be more accepting of the unconventional.

How fitting.

Chocolate, there's one thing I can contribute about hawthorn--it's renowned as a heart medicine. The berries especially for the physical heart, and the flowers as a flower essence for broken hearts/emotional wounds. That may be a puzzle piece for you as you search for meaning.

Interesting too, the dream about the bee putting honey on your skin. Honey is a balm for wounds.

Bee and Owl could be my totems too, but according to the chart they are not. Here's a little bit about bees in case it might resonate ... honey bees are traditionally called melissa, from the Greek word μέλισσα. There is a plant, lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) that is beloved by bees. Beekeepers sometimes plant a field of lemon balm/melissa for their bees. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melissa

Thank you Marianne!
Not only am I a person of contradictions, but am also a gemini at that ;).

Regarding my heart, the physical has a bit of a heredity problem, I think it was called asystolic noise or something like that.
Re. the emotional heart, hm, I am not even going to go there. So Hawthorn will be soon added to my herbs. I did not know about that plant.

And I love bees. I even had some, but two years ago they died, probably because of the monstanto monster and the rest of the pollution. I dreamed the bee when I was not more than 4 or 5 and since I was afraid at that time that the bees sting, the dream was actually very dear to me simply for sparing me the extra pain. But I know it has a symbolic meaning too.

I get it Caltz! I drive Renaul Meganne Coupe (my sister's car), 1998. I can (not) imagine what it would have been to use that car in conditions as you describe.

This week has been really trying due to a confluence of reasons. I've learned something. As bad as it seems, it's not really that bad, because it can always get worse. And, likewise, there is always somebody out there that has it worse than you. Perspective and optimism is key. I finally rewired my hot water heater and got that working again just before this last round of winter storms hit. We live in an old house, and I am NOT an electrician. So, the fact that I am alive, we have hot water, and I didn't have to pay an electrician is pretty fantastic.

By the way, while rewiring the water heater, I thought of our resident electrician Ernie. I hope he is well wherever he is. Here's a shout out to you Ernie! Take care.

An old friend contacted me today. We haven't kept in touch for many years.
Just texted me out of the blue.
This makes it the third friend to contact me this month out of the blue.
Strange month.

We are currently sitting between Pluto and Jupiter...
Pluto in Capricorn, which means austerity and top down controllers tightening the thumb screws on the masses
And Jupiter in Cancer, which increases the appetite of hungry Cancerians even more, while the feeder types are now going into force-feeding overdrive.
So how would those types of energies mingle, collectively speaking?
Jupiter in Cancer means excesses of the Matriarch,
and Pluto in Capricorn means the archetypal Patriarch is struggling to maintain control at all cost.

I suggest we all tell them and go where the sun don't shine and let us take charge, finally.

I just did the test with some of the ice from defrosting my fridge - normal reaction (means, ice melting, fluid = water resulting - as expected).
Do report back.

I wonder if the dirt and screen obstructions affect the effect of drinking in the sun's rays, as I drink in the early morning brilliance, listening to Yahtzee meow at me before beginning crunch down his brown nuggets.

Getting an extra hour this morning, I took Summy for an extra walk, which allieves a little guilt from having to lock him in the dungeon. He has attachment issues, and can't be trusted to be left alone with a fridge (as he always opens them, or bends them up trying).

It was bitter cold, almost unbearable, as we trotted around the block of my deed restricted community. Just when I started getting grumpy about it, I turned the corner and there was Sol, the perfect brightness to gaze directly into. The warmth I was filled with was more satisfying than any source of heat I could have thought of. Rejuvenating, empowering.

I thank the Sun, for making me feel wide awake in the moment, the here & now...felt so good I had to share with those I'd felt would appreciate it. Good morning village, it's new day...

Ahhhh, the moment is fleeting though, time to lock down the pooch, sentenced to about 8 hours of solitary (unless his feline friend chooses to join him at the last second, as he occasionally does).

I know the spirits here mess with him, he tells me every time when they around, I know he's not concerned about them when I'm there, his fear is from the basement, they've always been most active there.

Chuck a few treats around, to distract him as I make my escape, sneaking out quick to escape some guilt. I know he will be at work, continuing his slow progress of eating through door jamb. I can only block it out of mind, and take solace in the unconditional love I will receive for setting him free.

And knowing that when I sneak out, I will get another moment to glimpse at the sun, and beg for the patience to get through the dentist appointment, which I can't complain too much about as it gave me this here & now.

Hope you all are well...

I’ve not had much to say for myself lately, and as I’ve been taking some time away from the wretched computer, which also happens to be my work tool, I have not been proclaiming it from the rooftops. I mentioned Dickens a while back, and since then have been taking another look after many many years at David Copperfield.

I don’t know what the planets were doing in the late 1840s, but Ulli’s description of Pluto and Jupiter sounds like a fair summary of this novel. Most of the main characters have no mother at all, while the two matriarchs see their offspring come to a sticky end. And the odd patriarch gets short shrift as well. Hardly anyone has a biological father either. The father and mother figures, uncles and aunts are almost invariably of the extremely gentle, loving type that earned Dickens a reputation for sentimentality. But there is nothing sentimental about the way these people’s behaviour enables them collectively to confront and overcome the predatory educational, sexual and industrial mores of the time – and our own time too, I am sure – including the high financial crimes and misdemeanours of the psychopath or archontic succubus Uriah Heep, notably thanks to the whistle-blowing skills of Mr Micawber.

I remember feeling how ancient and quaint the Victorian period seemed, although back then so much closer in time; now I’m struck by how absolutely up to date and on the money Dickens really is. To anyone suffering from indigestion with the usual Avalon fare, I would recommend him as a positively enjoyable alternative approach to major issues. For those not into multiple dimensions, 57 varieties of alien beings, interstellar travel, angels and demons and such, I would say that these things are not required for understanding the fundamental workings of the human spirit, whether healthy or malfunctioning. Indeed very often they are just another hindrance to such understanding, which can still be gained from literary classics downgraded to old-fashioned entertainment.

As a famous writer himself, and author of this book, the character David Copperfield is to be seen as a great mouthpiece for Dickens’ own intention of ‘awakening loving and forebearing thoughts’. Nothing sentimental about that: some of the characters only survive by heading off for Australia, while some of the weaker ones don’t make it at all.

I just had a look at the ephemeris for 1848, and sure enough, both Pluto and Uranus were then in Aries, (where Uranus is now) and Aries is a masculine sign...the feudal overlord archetype.
And just like now, Jupiter was then also in Cancer, making an exact right angle to Pluto and Uranus in Aries.
Right angles are even harder to bear than oppositions.

Later in the year Jupiter went into Leo, and that must have broken the spell a bit as Leo is more in harmony with Aries, than Cancer is.

I have decided I dislike the word "love." It is vague and overused. Can't say much about what the word expresses either.

Feeling a kinship to grumpy cat, here and now. The extent of my ability to share levity.

I'd say you probably dislike it's misuse. It's dilution into various strains and meanings, by those who do not openly practice it's true depths.. Ie, the young man saying 'make love, not war', when really all he's talking about is him 'getting himself some'. Or a hundred other variations.

The way I see it, I think it is a good thing it is out there to be misused, mishandled, and misinterpreted. The alternative might be worse.

Yes, but the public opening into the meaning of the words can also come into play. Thus they were communicated and became the meme at the appropriate time, in order to be a component of the astrology of that moment of flow for the masses who were reflexively and reflectively affected.

Possibly. Depends on the alternative. Honesty would make expression more clear. If the young man wants some, he could express that more clearly. I do not love the fire I just started, I am enjoying its warmth and the comfort it brings. I do not love ... many people or many things. And this word, with its many meanings and connotations and even inuendo...For one, this fluffy oozing emotion. It is not what it seems.

Love, to me, is the reason to be alive, the purpose of my presence

The mantra that sticks in my head: love = light = truth

Well, guess it’s more of an equation, really…same-difference!

I am very fond of hearing your truth, 1inmany. And if you did not express your distaste for the overuse, may have addressed you by what you really are, Love.
