Today I celebrate being a Goddess.
I think the proper term actually is Crone.
Rather than three ages of woman, you might go back to the three aspects of the goddess, which are synchronous. She comprises at once the mother figure, the pure bride and the whore (representing her sexuality), which are not separable without leading to tragedy. The tragedy comes with the failed integration of the masculine. I fished out an old post of mine on this subject, which might be worth a second glance when celebrating the goddess.
Well actually no, none of this sounds familiar.
OK, let me tell you what sounds familiar to me in all of this.
Queens greedily devouring boys to mark lunar cycles sounds exactly like Arizona Wilder’s description to David Icke of goings-on at Windsor Castle. Matriarchy not dead? The deity in those days was the Triple Moon Goddess (in her triple aspect: waxing, full, waning moon). I’ll come back to this. Notice in passing how the importance of the number 13 comes from the lunar year of 13 months (364 days).
The change from sacrificing boys to animals is documented in the Old Testament in the story of Abraham substituting a ram for Isaac on instructions from Yahweh. Yahweh often gets a bad press, but this sounds like progress. And Christianity, which also often gets a bad press, offers what sounds like further progress with Jesus offering himself symbolically in the form of bread and wine. To criticize this as a late form of cannibalism is to look backwards in time. The forward-looking view sees it as an improvement, although we now need to apply this same process of purification to the notion of sacrifice itself.
In Greece, the sacrifice would have been a bull, or maybe the difference is of time rather than place: different ages (Taurus followed by Aries: the mythical Jesus in the new age of Pisces would sacrifice fish). Rams and bulls were supplementary to requirements: a typical flock or herd would consist of females and their young; adult males being needed only in small numbers (even less when their contribution to the reproductive cycle was not understood). Nowadays we have herds of bullocks by castrating the males. Alternatively we have countries where bulls are allowed to live: until they reach the bullring, that is. Bullfighting at least shows respect for the animal’s physical integrity.
There has been talk on this thread about circumcision. This may have been originally a form of symbolic castration. Possibly the rise of the male was accompanied by an increase in testosterone levels, which have reached such unacceptable proportions today that we read posts here calling for a cull of the alpha males. Back then, the phallus was the only weapon men had to get a foothold on life, and the cult of the obelisk continues to provide evidence that the macho society is very much living in the past.
13, Apollo, Moon, obelisk: Apollo 13, the triangle on top of the Saturn V obelisk, marked the failed meeting of the sun god and the moon goddess. On the symbolic level, this is the true story of the moon adventure, and understandably many people see the ‘successful’ missions as being necessarily a hoax.
The top god in the new patriarchy was Zeus, Jupiter in Latin, also called Jove. You see the link to Jehovah/Yahweh). Zeus and his thunderbolts was possibly a Velikovskian age of Jupiter, but in any case not a sun god, presumably because the next biggest deity in the night sky after the moon goddess. The sun god of daylight was Phoebus Apollo.
The modern God, Deus, is likely a conflation of Zeus and Apollo. He has still not resolved his differences with the divine feminine, or, to put it another way, got over the trauma of earlier times. He has inherited from the male priesthood serving the queenship vicariously, while dressed in feminine robes. The pope is the Vicar of Christ and I would suggest that his unreasonable refusal to accept women priests is only explicable if we see this role being played by male priestesses.
I have mentioned elsewhere how the Reformation was over the role of women, the Catholic cult of the Virgin Mary, against Puritanism and its outright rejection of the divine feminine. The Virgin Mary is itself a puritan version of the divine feminine, of which the Mary Magdalen angle would be the full-blown version. See below:
There is a little more to the Mary Magdalen story than this smear campaign. It involves the identifying of her too with a mythical figure, namely what Robert Graves calls the Triple Goddess or the White Goddess, and which the poet Ted Hughes applies to a sizeable chunk of Shakespeare in Shakespeare and the Goddess of Complete Being. This is a lengthy explanation whose thesis is that Shakespeare was using the theatre as a ploy to expose his Catholic views at a time when Puritanism was persecuting Catholics. Simplifying outrageously, the eternal feminine (the Goddess of Complete Being), he says, was the major battleground at this time, espoused by Catholicism and rejected by Puritanism. She comprises at once the mother figure, the pure bride and the whore (representing her sexuality), which are not separable without leading to tragedy. Several plays explore different failures to reconcile these aspects of woman. For example, Othello, who loves his loving wife, kills the whore; or Hamlet, whose hesitation is because killing the whore also means killing his mother, while facing this dilemma collapses his relationship with his chaste bride Ophelia, whom he packs off to a nunnery; you get the picture.
From this perspective, misogynistic Pauline Christianity corresponds to Puritanism and counterintuitively Catholicism would be its heretical offshoot – the main difference being the acknowledged importance of women, with the emphasis on Mary the mother, Mary Magdalen the bride and sexual partner. It is somewhat ironic that the Catholic Church is criticized today for manifestly not doing enough for women. And back in the Elizabethan era, at a time when people were getting hanged, drawn and quartered for this major difference of opinion, Shakespeare was a whistle-blower and spiritual guide of the first order, using the fiction of the theatre to speak some unsavory truths.
This myth is often to be found in modern fiction as well. In French, Mary Magdalen is Marie Madeleine. Thus in Proust’s In Search of Lost Time, she is a central mythical figure, not only for the famous madeleine cake and tea episode and its discreet connection with the narrator’s mother, but also the connection with his lover, alternating chasteness and promiscuity and stirring love and jealousy. This is also the theme of James Joyce’s Ulysses, whose hero, Leopold Bloom, copes rather better with the sometimes unfaithful goddess figure he is married to. And the theme can be traced through The Arabian Nights in which the wife is fighting for her life all the way back to The Odyssey, in which the man is fighting for his wife.
So there was a whole lot going on long before Dan Brown came on the scene to popularize the story. We need to see the power of myth not simply as a way of spreading disinformation about real individuals but also as the universal relevance given to universal issues. Learning the truth about Mary Magdalen can help remove the smears to the individual; it can also help us deal with this endless issue of male violence due to (over)possessiveness, incomprehension and ultimately fear of the fair sex.

Ugh. Sometimes one has to be a snot if one is a mod, go chasing trolls. I'm getting better at it, but it still tires me out, I have to withdraw for a few days afterwards, retreat. I don't want that side of me to get too strong. Balance. I'm Libran, and I want balance.
The Village gives me that. :) I can strip off my armor, sink into the village healing pool, and come back to mySelf.
I'm sitting out on the deck. I've filled the birdbath (It is so dry, I refill the bird bath three times a day). The birds have their seed, need to refill the pot for seed.
The garden below is returning to jungle. The previous owner created a lovely English garden, but she was out in the garden every day, and had a gardener come every week. And it is water intensive. But we have SO many birds, and that is what we love best.
It is getting scary dry here. I see dead trees, dying trees, and all the trees look dry and stressed. Every time I go out on deck, I visualize wet, dripping, steady rain, I pray to the water devas for rain.
It rained last night for a bit. :)
Tomorrow is 4th of July. My sister's birthday, and my bro-in-law's birthday.
I'll be making potato salad later today to go with the chicken BBQ. Potatoes, red onion, celery, dill pickles, olives, cilantro and parsley, mustard and mayo. Yum yum. Found organic everything except the pickles.
Chance of rain tomorrow night. Please intend a downpour with me. :)

Am I the only one who hears "music" when the fan is on?
The first time i thought the neighboor was listening to some bad radio station (here you can fart loudly and they'll probably hear it... In fact sometimes I hear my neighboors snoring :ROFL:!) And when i turned it off the sounds from the radio were gone. So i walked through the appartment, got to the balcony etc to find out where the music came from, but nothing.
I turned the thing on again and there it was: sounds, music like. :D
The thing is made of plastic but somehow creates different resonances and after a couple of seconds if you are at the right angle you'll hear sounds, like when a radio station is not tuned properly and you hear bits and pieces of different melodies that are a bit chaotic in combination with one another but the little pieces sound nice. This sounds are not as loud as the fan's humming of course, but are not dufficult to hear at all.
Oh, i don't do drugs (just in case you are wondering).
And... " I'm not crazy! My mother got me tested!"
Friday night in Germany and it is very hot.
I like this night. I dont know why I am so happy (it's good, i am not complaining).
The moon the lasts days was amazing and so bright. my ventilator is on and it helps a lot with the heat. Hence the fan sounds and music Question

No music, Noir. My left ear is blocked up again. I say again because out of the blue for about 6, 7, 8 months it went silent. Without warning, it came back on line. Though, I do hear a high pitched sound in the inner ears. (even in the blocked one)
What's happening at my place is I hear thumps and knocks and things falling. Sometimes, I feel a vibration. And it can be day or night.
So now I just pass along a 'hello'. :bigsmile:

No, thanks, PL. I ran a quick search on ear candling. The articles I read were negative. I may consider it after watching this video, but first, I’ll try hydrogen peroxide.

The high pitched tones i know too. But in my case it could be tinnitus, IDK
because since a few years i got ear infections very often but luckily not anymore. They stopped.
The thumps and knocks and hearing things falling happen a lot around me. In every place i lived this happened. Sometimes if I have visit they get nervous and a bit scared about it. For me is normal, i think it is energy stored in things that makes the noises. Now in the last months it has got a bit stronger though. It increases at night.

Thanks, Noir. It’s helpful confirmation that the knocks and thumps you hear are louder of late. It was mostly at night, too. But it’s changed. Part of me feels it’s our energy and dimensions merging with the unseen other(s). There’s also an increase of peripheral activity. I’d quickly check to let them know I’m aware. But now, I send out a thought-hello.
Last evening and this morning, my ear crackled and tickled when I used hydrogen peroxide. As for what my intuition says about the hearing? It’s fine. I haven’t even raised it to nuisance status. At one level, I see it that it’s the only quirky thing going. For that I’m appreciative.
At another level, because it’s the left ear/side, I see it as me not wanting to hear what’s happening in the world. The one that takes life in linear and sequential fashion. Whereas as the right, receives the whole to build upon.
At another level, it is a barometer for a deeper clean-out of hidden feelings. And still another, it’s about what’s the next thing in my diet to eliminate? Or it’s a metaphor for tuning out or at least dialing down the mind-chatter. One last one, I use it as an indicator for a re-balance of energy. I’m working on that.

This statement was necessary to inform all members that her actions since leaving the forum, which we tried to transition with kindness, have continued to cause damage and hurt. The error in being kind was mine, and I take full responsibility. It would also be a learning point now for Natalie to take full responsibility for her various (and continued) mistakes and poor decisions.
I apologize on behalf of all the mods if we've been considered to have dropped the ball in any way. (Sometimes we do, of course.) Protecting the forum, and its members, in particular longstanding ones who are most greatly loved and valued, is always, rightly, our foremost priority.

Well, I just checked the forum rankings the other day (alexa), literally... and the forum remains solidly in a norm of a standing, at about #40k in the usa, and at about 91k in the global ranking of websites. Pretty well where it's been for a few years.
It may be a near miss in a nearby timeline, or on this one..but the democratic candidate had better watch out today. My dreams are never wrong.

When my ears ache, I use hydrogen peroxide, and then rubbing alcohol, repeat as needed. I asked my audiologist at the time, and she said it was perfectly safe.

About the ears, hydrogen peroxide is good against infections and stuff alike. I 've used it many times. Just don't go too deep because it is not good when it gets on your eardrum.
Alcohol dissolves fat and therefore is good to clean when you have lots of excess wax but if you over do it, could dry the inner skin too much, brake it and create eczema in your ears. Those get very itchy and often infected so please be carefull. I used to have those problems and it is no fun.
One drop or two of olive oil in your ear will help you to restore and protect the dry skin in case of eczema, aliviate the itching and prevent the formation of more eczema. That's a tip I got from a very good doctor that told me olive oil is much better than the expensive creams and cortisones the other doctors were giving me.
There's also other oils that are good and have antibacterial properties like camomille and lavender i think. I have yet not tried those because for me olive works very well and I always have it in my kitchen.
What else? Ah, yes.. For people that have lots of ears problems like me, Q-tips are taboo and forbidden.
What also helps me to keep my ears healthy (believe it or not) is doing a nose shower with salt water often. This also helps you to feel better if you have pollen alergies and stuff.
I hope some of this tips help somebody.

make a 2-3-4 drop mms mixture.
dilute it with distilled water. maybe 2-3 oz (50-60ml)
Put that in a small hand held mister-sprayer.
Mist into nostril while inhaling.
A good way to get rid of a sinus infection, or deal with the deeper parts of an ear infection. recall that the eye tear ducts drain into the sinuses, so it can be functional with some eye issues as well, regarding the deeper parts that are otherwise impossible to deal with.
Or to use as a throat spray, to knock out colds and upper respiratory tract infections.
Various forms of halitosis, etc.. can be dealt a very serious blow. Gargling with a mixture does help halitosis, in a way, but the problem is that it is in the top of the lung passage...so...

As someone with a lifetime of ear infections, I have found these things helpful (I like the neti pot use too):
I have tremendously good results using 2 drops MMS (activated) with a little bit of water. I soak a cotton ball in this and apply to skin sores or rashes. At times I will even tape the wet cotton ball over the rash. I would not hesitate to put this into my ear by dropper, since it would go down the eustachian tube and ease that as well.
When I had bad ear infection this past winter I soaked organic garlic in castor oil and had someone drop that oil (NOT any garlic though) into my ear.

This forum, and the good people of many delightfully varied sorts who pass by here, are not immune from this damage, and some who come this way, such as some recently banned members, are, for the present at least, amplifying the harm more than they are providing healing, shelter or understanding.

I agree about everything in your post Sierra. It makes me want to avoid them at any price, even if I do have a lot of consideration and appreciation for most of those on TOT. This is real sad.
I must first say that most on the other forum were very thorough and did research the last unsubscribed Avalon member, Unikorn, and did not let him have a free ride with his behavior here. Which is quite ethical.
However, I also know that Natalie lies, that she is caught in a real "me the poor victim" mantra while in fact putting something that feels like thick glue (it is how it makes me feel, not good really) on others. Ash, ...
I had been kind enough not to say anything up to now, but yes, I read some of her posts on the other forum, under Sophia, and now, I have to speak up.
I have seen some of her very sexually provocative pictures on posts - we are a few women here who asked her very comprehensively and gently to take those down (although she was not completely naked on those I saw). Avalon is just not the place for this.

Not all seekers of truth and carriers of society and cultures, are violently opinionated blowhards.
As a matter of fact, the opposite is true.
When you have a mosh pit for a 'freedom of behavior and act' space, all you get is a mosh pit. where a small group dominate the other potential members and contributors, dominate with their extremist behaviors and acts. this does not solve anything. In fact, it moves in the opposite direction.
Note that most of society, even those in the room, those who wish to contribute, and do, just like a dance scene/club...most of those people stay far away from the given mosh pit.
Helping a society and culture shift itself involves the whole mass, not a few who are in extremis. The extremes are the problem and engaging them is the problem. It violates the sanctity and existence of the general mass and bounces off of the masses -as if the extremism, the outlier... did not exist.
The reality is that the extremism of the 'anything goes --mosh pit ruled forums' is not going to engage the requisite people/masses.... and to do that, to engage the larger group.. a forum must have rules involving sense and sensibility.
History has taught us that this would be case of a closed forum, with moderation, and ejecting of misbehaving people, those who disturb the peace. quiet is required for people to think,and to absorb and to change. The violence in communication engages only the animal in humans which is already foaming at the mouth (animal monkey talk) and it brings nothing new to the conversation, and no increase to the numbers of the aware.
People are not aware that they are driven in their thinking and thought formation by the animal and body imperatives. People don't understand this as their body's safety and immediate future are functional in an environment... where they don't need to be aware of this wiring and thought formation reality.
A forum with heavy negative emotional thrusts does nothing for enlightenment of the masses, it does nothing for the shifting of society and culture, for all these various reasons, and more. The most effective writers in the alternative field are those who delivery highly stressing material in a clear unemotional manner. Like Jim Marrs, for example.
Thus, again, the clarity in the logic of what a human is at this time, on this planet.... is that closed moderated forums, like this one, are the best bet for helping humanity, reaching people, engaging people... helping them reach new plateaus in understanding what this world and this reality actually is. The current state of the reactive psychology and physiology of humanity... demands it be of this form.

Great post, Carmody. All that crackle noise gets old really quick. I’m appreciative of when the mods and forum members together help each of us to discover blind spots. We all gain from a supportive environment. One to think, and to absorb and to change.
When there’s a rinse and repeat behavior one would benefit if they step back to see the pattern. Break free of it. Or at least be honest with yourself.
See that the pay-off is a negative, lonely one. Look around. If the same behavior is done with ever-changing groups or friends, note that people catch on. The game gets old right-quick.
Be kind to yourself. Be a quick study. Grow. Move beyond. Shake it off. Do not consent like you wouldn’t consent to a mind program, a tag or an implant. Shake it off.
Growth is willingness to let go of what worked yesterday and see it’s an anchor today. Hitch a ride on to wisdom path.

Hello Carmody and all ~ village life seems to has it's great strength in the human interactions, the friendship, the perceptions and sharing of the village people. It is an appreciated place of exchange and support and I enjoy peeping into it. I would like to share something as well, acknowledging the openess and acceptance of the mature souls participating.
Within the 'freedon of behaviour and act' space, there is this special category that is quite difficult to talk about, it is not known and can not so much be detected or understood if fortunately the act of severe trauma did not visit one's life. It must not be easy to watch (or recieve) a volcano of emotions overtaking a person and not being quite sure where it comes from.. so inappropriately acted, so out of place, and with the knowledge that the person missed an opportunity to work on themselves.. (aren't we all here for that purpose as well..?)
In previous months to a year I happened to observe on this forum, the deliberate activation of a certain member by another (quite popular) member who is not with us anymore, with percise trigerring to activate the desired response, while both the reciever and the rest of the 'audience' are not aware to the 'job' well done, but the chain of reactions begins from there..
Sometimes misbehaving has it's roots at different places.. but the result makes someone else very happy.

I’m afraid I agree with the negative comments. This may be a vast improvement on the typical high-rise, but that is as far as it goes. The building itself is made to look alive: that’s what the word ‘animation’ means. On the other hand the greenery is made to look pretty dead. Try and picture all the various aspects of our communing with nature, often rather humdrum and hands-on: kids kicking a football, young lovers sitting together, householders hanging out washing, picking fruit off trees, strawberries or vegetables or roses out of a bed, walking up a mountain, by a river or along the coast., taking in unusual smells, getting your feet and hands muddy, skiing through snow or singing in the rain. This place would make a nice garden for an old people’s home or a psychiatric hospital, or for office workers to eat a sandwich.
I much prefer the ‘half an acre and a cow’ model. They say the entire population could find space in Texas. There is plenty of space around the globe for everyone to live on terra firma if they so wish. Let China take over from America and do bigger and better if they can, but let them do it without the rest of us. America has shown how to do bigger than old Europe and failed to do better. Europe hasn’t disappeared for all that, and nor will America. After China, there is no bigger domino to take this little game and there are by now so many smaller dominoes lined up to put an end to this nonsense. We are reaching the stage where the tiniest domino will be sufficient to collapse the entire edifice.

Not all seekers of truth and carriers of society and cultures, are violently opinionated blowhards.
As a matter of fact, the opposite is true.
When you have a mosh pit for a 'freedom of behavior and act' space, all you get is a mosh pit. where a small group dominate the other potential members and contributors, dominate with their extremist behaviors and acts. this does not solve anything. In fact, it moves in the opposite direction.

A forum with heavy negative emotional thrusts does nothing for enlightenment of the masses, it does nothing for the shifting of society and culture, for all these various reasons, and more. The most effective writers in the alternative field are those who delivery highly stressing material in a clear unemotional manner. Like Jim Marrs, for example.
Thus, again, the clarity in the logic of what a human is at this time, on this planet.... is that closed moderated forums, like this one, are the best bet for helping humanity, reaching people, engaging people... helping them reach new plateaus in understanding what this world and this reality actually is. The current state of the reactive psychology and physiology of humanity... demands it be of this form.

It's too easy to misunderstand another when tone and visual cues of the utterance are not part of the communication, even when there is no intended slight. Thank you Playdo for the above. This is all very sound and an excellent reason for leaving Crowley alone, but the forum as well?
The reason why we have to persist in trying to improve our communications skills is that the alternative is much more fraught with danger still. If I had to sum up the big picture of humanity’s plight at this time in one pithy phrase, it would be ‘silence means consent’. You see, even if you say nothing, that is going to be interpreted very wrongly. Worse: in a sense, this interpretation is not wrong at all. People are racist until they start talking to someone, then they make an exception for that person; they meet a few more and eventually the racist remarks will be said only in jest, before drying up altogether. Your neighbor may seem objectionable from the other side of the fence, but get to know him, you will probably find he is a decent enough character, and the day you have a problem with him he is more likely to listen if you have got to know each other a little first.
So your maxims for communication are OK as far as they go, but they have nothing to say about feedback and feedback to that feedback. Breakdowns in communication are always at that level (indeed there is no communication until a reader or listener is involved): a simple misunderstanding is misunderstood instead of being explored and you soon have an argument on yours hands. This comes from dogmatism: people consider their words so right they should be carved in stone, but that is a form of insecurity. Wise words are never carved in stone when adjusted to the here and now; it takes a little courage to let them flow. You don’t like what I just said? OK, no big deal, I’ll try something different. The world’s troubles are the work of dogmatic, insecure people pontificating about things and people they haven’t got to know. To understand is not always to love or accept, but loving always involves understanding.
Take for example Freudian psychology. The Oedipus complex is based entirely on the father’s influence on the son. There is no feedback: the father doesn’t even know his own son; the joys of parenthood and the myriad ways a child can change a parent are foreign to him. With this brick wall of a father, the son can only turn the other way and repeat the pattern with the next generation. Withdrawal on both sides means a total lack of communication and gets you nowhere; it gets you stuck in a rut. Engagement is the only way forward. It gets easier when you build up an understanding, a relationship, but you have to make a start when it’s toughest.
This is why forum posting is my preferred medium, over blogging and writing books, and responding to a post in preference to starting a thread: it is real two-way communication – multiway when others join in. It may be a daunting task, but fortunately there are many levels at which to begin the process. One’s intellectual understanding need not be brilliant as long as there is emotional understanding (genuine interest and concern). Which is where the Here and Now thread comes in, because it lowers the threshold for joining (and subsequently elevating) this type of communication. The simplest matters work just as well.
PS. Not to interfere, but if verflücht is supposed to be a ten letter cuss word, then I think you would need to spell it verfluecht! :)

A Fluch is a curse, and Flüche is the plural.

Interesting reading some of your comments (Carmody, Nat_Lee, Flash, araucaria...)
For what it's worth - I posted the video at the end of a much larger post about a book by the late former astronaut and free energy advocate/explorer Brian O'Leary, who expressed deep feeling about what we were doing to 'mother earth,' and wished to see the growth of a 'sacred science' that could blend conscientious scientific practice with deeper respect for the role of consciousness.
I actually used a still from the video to turn the skyscraper into a ship that could fly around the earth and be based on the ground (picture below.)
Millennia (or less) from now, our solar system and the earth may have changed in ways hard to predict, and our race may have adapted to live elsewhere, or differently, amidst the stars. But for now, I prefer having my feet on the ground, or in the life-giving waters of the earth, to swaying in a skyscraper that casts a looming shadow :)
With clean, abundant energy, a home that could be flown out of a flood or a cyclone could be quite a handy thing.

But I wonder, when designers as talented as this have access to free energy, what spectacular ships they might choose to envisage that can, instead, link us closely to the earth or journey around the world and out beyond the solar system. I enjoyed watching the beautiful geometry as it grew into the completed vision. I find it soothing the way the structures are immersed in and reflect the water gardens. The above referenced post is about an opera singer of whom I earlier posted a video singing a highly complex scream. There would be imperfections in that scream, but the amazing thing is the sheer technical skill that can been put into such a primeval gesture – and more generally the amount of near-perfection that goes into our imperfections. I was going to add to this discussion, and got too busy that day, and later forgot.
Araucaria brought up terms like virtual, and placed mental images of pristine unadultured nature next to that.
And here is me, living in raw nature in Costa Rica, as near a Jurassic Park world as can be, and always battling with "nature". My latest spider bite from the end of May has still not healed.
Currently in Barbados where at first glance everything looks manicured, and there are no longer poisonous snakes in the island, since the introduction of a single pair of mongoose from India.
I have also spent a great part of my life living in London, England, and had a country house in Southern England, also on a river, like now. Then the river Rother, now the Rio Grande de Orosi.
These changes between city and country have taught me a lot about where human intervention is justified and where it is detrimental.
These cities in the sky might work where culture or civilization have reached levels of decadence and decay that one just needs to build a new infra-structure on top of the mess.
For now the planet still has options to offer (to some of us) that don't require such drastic artificial habitat developments, but who knows for how much longer?
Wherever people in Costa Rica move onto a new plot of former virgin forest, or former coffee fields, visual ugliness is the result.
For years I have been wishing that some town planning could be applied, at least leaving spots for parks, or the odd tree.

There’s been two of me for the last couple of weeks. One that’s task oriented, feverishly gathering information and skipping bedtime. Then that was pretty amazing, given your subsequent post about needing to cry together. This is an example of another advantage of communication: you get bonus points for trying. We need to hear more from Playdo and from anyone else who is holding back.
There are as many ways into this as there are people doing it. As you know, I am not into astrology at all, but I find myself very much on the same page as Tom. I used the word ‘uncomfortable’; he says ‘we are not comfortable’. I talk about communication; Tom says ‘we have to talk’. He talks of Venus putting on a quality ‘London Philharmonic’ performance on Leo’s stage for a demanding audience (Saturn); I show Simon Rattle telling his audience to ‘stop smiling, this is the [Berlin] Philharmonie’! It helps to have knowledge of things like astrology, but nothing is indispensable. We can be on the same page simply by being attentive to where we are, i.e. through feeling the same planetary influences together as we inevitably do. This is proof of how this form of communication definitely works, and leads to harmony: synchronicity seen as the physical manifestation of a desire. Or of a non-desire: I would like to know more about astrology, but I find I don’t need to.
A couple of Christmases ago, my wife went to buy a loaf and the baker’s wife started explaining how there would be no chocolates because her supplier had let her down. My wife replied that as it happened she was just on her way to visit a family member who is a pastry cook to help him with his one-man chocolate factory; she could take an order and bring back the chocolates in a couple of days. This sort of occurrence is on the increase, even in the commercial context of ebay, online bookstores etc. It may seem pretty routine these days to receive in Europe an out-of-print book from South Africa, the US or even Australia, often for pennies, but when you think about it, you are finding a needle in a haystack. But you have to ask first. Often the hard part is not giving, it is asking. Most people are probably better at giving than at asking. Asking means accepting the imperfection of needing something. If you can’t accept that, the alternatives are taking (stealing) or doing without. The über-rich elite steals and doesn’t give, the scarcity-driven populace does without and gives (is robbed of) what little it has. These two behaviour patterns both fall away when we learn to apply Jesus’s simple formula, ‘Ask and you shall receive’. It also means a) having no possessions that one is not prepared to give away to someone in need and expressing that need and b) having nothing that one is prepared to be robbed of by someone with no need, i.e. owning little worth stealing to attract thieves and subsequently grieve over.

a true story:
little story: I was coaching a manager managing a group of blue collars and he would get very upset at times, even vindictive. I worked with him to find out what he would tell himself internally right before getting upset, in order to replace those beliefs leading to his difficult behavior impacting on those situations he was aggravating (I should do that for myself too!!!).
Then he found words to replace the detrimental ones (while holding the same fundamental values he wanted his worker to share, such as work ethics, perseverance, etc).
The short sentence he found which worked marvelously with him was : not Worth a fu ck. (we just agreed he should not tell his company's higher management about his new mantra).
He is much more patient with his employees now.;)
(yes this is the kind of work I used to do, plus training in corporations - I just got overworked, plus personal problems, and tired to have no colleagues to work with. And some other work related detrimental stories - I really could make wonders for some employers or companies - I do not understand why I am overlooked, even if I am older)

Get them on the after effects, not the current situation.... which is the thing that sits like a pained turd in the middle of the room/business.
Advertizing is about presenting the cart as being a done deal, before the horse ever arrives on the scene. That the world is beautiful now, but no mention of the issues of now - or how to get there.
Ie, do you create and make better and beautiful worlds, or do you fix problems?
People don't want problems, they don't want to deal with problems, they don't want to know of problems...they want and will grasp for better worlds.
This is why advertising is full of worlds and moments that have yet to be reached.
Place the beauty in their mind (their desire, as a projection)... once they commit... then the pain can come along and be dealt with.

The f- word is a magic word because it is a place-holder for just about any feeling that people want to express without bothering to explore exactly what it is they are feeling. If you use the same word to describe feelings of say anger, frustration, delight, love or hate, the danger is that you only ever experience one single emotion of anger-frustration-delight-love-hate. It is not so much that God is dead: language and communication are dead, and ultimately man is dead; the beast has taken over with a vengeance.
In contrast, you have the original French version of the Smurfs, Les Schtroumpfs, (I don’t know how this is done in English), in which the nonce word schtroumpf is likewise a noun, verb, adjective, adverb, with various meanings to suit the context. This is the exact constructive opposite of the f- word because small children delight in working out the words and meanings that are being expressed, thereby expanding their vocabulary and their range of feelings as they go along. In other words, what we are seeing is more dumbing-down, which inevitably leads in only one direction, with the finer feelings losing out to the coarser ones. To describe something exquisite, one is typically lost for words in a very different sense, going through several to find them all inadequate, and trying out more to build up an overall impression that is increasingly subtle. This is the creative direction of art and literature; it might be said that Proust wrote 3,000 pages solely in an attempt to capture the feelings he experienced on tasting a madeleine cake dipped in some tea. On the other hand, ‘f-king’ will be used to qualify words that are themselves weak and vague; phrases like ‘f-king great’ and ‘f-king awful’ are still incredibly sloppy notions that any remotely careful writer or speaker would try to replace with something richer or more precise.
This is why I am rather ambivalent about that meditation video, because it works if you are trying to empty your mind of, to use another in word, all the sh!t in your life; but if you are trying momentarily to empty your mind of finer feelings and concern for loved ones, to me ‘f-k that’ leads to the wrong sort of emptiness. It causes a disconnect between meditation and the active form of living instead of meshing them together as two contrasting aspects of the act of being in the world.

The question is, how did Pascal construct the apex of his triangle? Clearly the 1s down both sides come from following the rule of adding the two numbers above, i.e. 1 plus nothing.
However by that same token, the 1 at the very top would have to be the sum of nothing plus nothing!
Now Pascal himself was not a betting man, except for his one famous wager: ‘God exists’. Sometimes seen as a cowardly act of faith, this wager here takes the form of posing the equation 0 + 0 = 1*. Well, the last sentence sums it up really well. This is exactly how I see the purpose of meditation as well.
To use a Wingmaker term...it is a blank slate technology.
You meditate until the slate, or the page, or whatever your work area is, has been cleared.
Then you have taken out the stuff that was imposed from the outside, from others, all that stuff that has noting to do with YOU and YOUR creativity. Only then can you start creating, and doing YOUR own thing.
No more imitation. No more copying.
The original self can begin to express.
Whether it's love, appreciation, or new ideas and inventions.

Got the message that the post was over 5000 words long.
The annoying part is that they didn't take me back to the edit page, where I could have salvaged it.
I could have shortened or snipped off part of your message to make more room for mine.
But even in this tiny event there is something interesting to peruse, as it has a lot to do with meditation and its purpose.
Just as meditation is supposed to get the inner self into a pure mental environment so that there is room for one's own ideas to flow, so equally we need to reduce the content of our edit boxes at least enough to leave room for our own response.
And that's in my view the purpose of all mediation. That clearing of the inner space.
Whether we are doing a "f*** that" mediation, which is a bit like working with a leaf blower instead of a garden rake, or whether we visualize emptiness until we believe we are in that emptiness ...the main goal is to have a blank slate, or white page, or clean canvas, on which we can subsequently become creative.
Only then can the true self be free from imitation, or copying, but bring forth what was originally there, before it was contaminated by the impressions or impositions of the outside world.
Blank Slate Technology (BST) was a term used in the Wingmakers materials, for a form of time travel where one would be returning to a point in the past in order to change subsequent events for something better. To tweak reality, in a way.
In my analogy not even time travel is needed. Only a white page of a mind, all earlier mind stuff erased. Or the empty cup...any of these analogies could work.
The main thing is to start over, and fill that page, or cup, or landscape, with one's own ideas, and with the LOVE that makes creative activity possible.
Then share from that unique abundance.

Taken from a Neil Keenen article that was apparently outing the Ambassador as a scam artist. I don't really trust Keenan any more than any mysterious ambassadors, but the video seems to be compelling evidence of the dude's identity.

This is tied to the root of how modern communication, via cell phones, the so called smart phones..how this kills intelligence. It seems like more communication is being done, more is being produced, but it is in smaller, simpler circles. The monkey at the root of the human edifice is designed to observe, reflect and integrate that of the herd or group. Literally. Television as a cue into that, soap operas and the like. And now, twitter, facebook emails, messaging, and so on. Taking up (the time of) one's life into a realm of ceaseless intake, without time for reflection and silence, which is key to intellectual growth.
It is taking intelligent people and removing their motion into a larger intellect, moving it into smaller circles. All outside of their notice as to what is happening. It is a form of external to internal programming communication.... so it is in effect reducing the number of and reducing the complexity of the channels of intellectual growth. Monkeys pressing buttons while living in a cage. Nothing more. When I look at a city street these days... I'm hard pressed to not see it as exactly that.

The end of logic as a necessity in life, with/via a closed circle that is ...just out of notice and visualization, by the majority of the people trapped in that world. The ability to seemingly function without a need for logic is what is creating a stratification and prole class. To remove the challenges and supplant the treadmill of life's complexities with one's own design is to create a level in and of humans.
Thus, the stratification of humanity in intellectual classes, with no crossing no growing. Cell phones for the 'gamma-ization' of the proles'. Since TV is dead, it's time to move on to another method and way.
One could say that the rise of a more widespread eurocentric hermticism, at the end of the Templar realm/run, gave rise to the Renaissance.
People don't think via or, as consciousness, it is a small program that rides on top of the depths of a human and we call it consciousness. The ego In-out box program. The one that is not us and the somatic emergent as murmurings is the real us that lies underneath.
If one pays very close attention to the voice in the head, one can actually 'feel' the formation of the thought before it arrives into communicative expression. This is key to awakenings, and..true and actual mediation, as this deeper part is the one to shut down. Stopping the voice in the head is nothing, as the force behind it is still running at full speed. Finding and stilling the origin point is key.
To not mistake the window-interface and it's writings and motions....for the human.
As knowing of this rises in the individual and the collective, so does the fears connected to the ego-program system.
The animal aspect reacts, and finds ways to leverage itself off this data or knowing. It goes to ground.. as that is how it is run, via the deeper drives. It seeks the animal comforts that direct it's expression.
Thus the animal in man, within the complexity of the rise in hermeticism, this animal component seeks to stratify and control the somatic aspects of the bulk of humanity.
Not enlightened, not awake --- just an asshat of a monkey, with more data. Nothing more.
And it is here... in this exact layer of existence.... that we find the elites of society.
Asshat monkeys, leveraging humanity for their own gain, and not a shred of integrated consciousness within them. With their little clubs, little societies, little secretive gatherings. Missing the point entirely, as it serves the sleep that they live on and in the level they live. They illustrate the condition where just a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

It's a shame that a good man such as Ron van Dyke got lured into such scam. I knew intuitively from the first video (and last - which I couldn't listen for long) that "ambassador" guy was a fake. Drake, Cobra, Fulford Blue Birds, they're all the same. They talk the talk, but don't walk the walk.
Be aware also that there are many false prophets and guides operating in your world. They will suck your energy from you - the energy you call money and will put it to evil ends and give you worthless dross in return.

The word patterns are similar, but the voice isn’t as low as the guy in Modwiz’s videos. As for the Ambassador? He says the same thing over and over and talks down to the listeners. It’s unfortunate that people are being duped.

I worked with these guys (Safari park, volunteer) and they are one honorable dude. The chimps are closer to our human version as defined here ( a****es), but I have little doubt they rolled some simliar thoughts in their head..

If this sounds like anthropomorphism of a silliness compounded by a good dose of conspiracy theory, then consider the following for a moment as no more than a thought experiment. Wild animal populations are facing what we know to be a very real alien threat (i.e. from humans) including vaster superior technology that is dripping down to a small degree. If you thrust paintbrushes or cameras into dozens of trunks and teach zoo elephants how to paint or take photos, you have to wonder what is going to happen when elephants start becoming really creative or when the ‘hundredth elephant effect’ kicks in and they all start broadcasting their stuff, giving a whole new meaning to the expression ‘alternative media’. Chronicling the human awakening has to embrace much more than just humans. And of course unleashing any form of violence on our oppressors would also become the subject of a technology transfer to the animal kingdom with potentially disastrous effects, at least locally. We already have urbanized fox populations, pigeon commuters that regularly take public transport to and from their ‘workplace’, and the occasional sighting of a big cat: do we want herds of stampeding elephants as well? We all have to smarten up together, because the dumbing-down is potentially catastrophic for coming from levels above our own.

Hi Eaglespirit,
The reference you gave below is quite interesting. In his own ways, the author had quite an epiphany. He uses words related to Jesus, but truly, he did achieve something on his own in terms of awakening and spiritual development. When I read him, if I translate his vocabulary to mine (not always obvious), it makes sense. He has written many texts all full of wisdom.
Here are some snippets of his writings that are illuminating (even one about snippets) from only one of many texts:
o I know that when the full truth of the power of this universal consciousness is revealed here on Earth once again, history and its numerous players will be absolutely irrelevant. Because at that time ego will become irrelevant.
o Any casual association with truth and any lie in any form halts with ego death.
o To understand how all this stuff worked you had to be on the “it is” side of the mental fence rather than the “I am” side.
o The sins are primarily empowered by socially drawn lies of shame, your own fears, and the curious social custom of giving grace to lies in a way that ensures they will continue to be handed back and forth and cause all sorts of pain and trouble. Self-created disasters. Tiny whispers of “I am” vs “it is” buried very deeply and ingrained in you from the time you are deeply entangled into this world in the first place. If you think you didn’t ask to be born, my answer to you is yes you did, you just don’t remember it.
o This is how a tiny piece of truth in the wrong context can completely change the meaning of an event. This is why you must be careful about the use of pieces of truth to form opinions.
o I also got the distinct impression somebody is about to take an axe to the fabric, ripping it wide open forever.
o slipped into eternity mindlessly but not unconsciously.

WHITE WALLS

On the spot my arms fall down, my mission caused to halt,
Suddenly I’m a stunned moth, my eyes begin to jolt.

I shake my head and utter breath expecting them to stop.
As if awaiting for my soul to consciously climb stair,
They shout and dance a welcome song so sick of waiting there.
The white walls open up their traps and let the natives out,

They’re crying out “remember us?! We stayed here in good nick!”
“How could I forget?” I say, although I moved along,

Gtwin, thank you for the poem and memories. I felt I was walking back through my own youth as I read.
Life is tumbling along so fast. At the moment it's all about the garden--it's growing tremendously and some plants could be picked twice a day, not kidding.
Does anybody want to see pictures? I put some more on my profile page, under the Home and Family album.
The veggies are piling up in the kitchen. This evening I'm putting up some fermented vegetables. Summer squash, zucchini, peppers, and carrots. And making salsa to give away.
Little Japanese eggplant disks are roasting in the oven to become baba ganoush.
I have two harvest baskets on hooks in the hallway, with a little knife tucked inside one, to grab on the way out the door to the garden. Something about it gives me so much pleasure, reminding me of my mom and the way she has lived her life. As long as I can remember, she's had a metal dishpan on a nail on the back porch. The screen door just a step away. The memory of those sounds, the screen door slamming closed, the scrape of metal pan against nail, the feel of it, warm from the heat as we walked to the garden. It's the same garden I have now, the very same space.

Thank you mojo. I hope this positive message is not deleted as I am thinking deleted material may have been a cause of some misunderstanding through speculation as to its content.
Some news of my sister-in-law. She has had her entire stomach removed, and despite a prognosis that is not good, her morale is amazingly high, notably because she feels better than for a long time, as if something harmful has finally gone. Many thanks to all for your support.
Marianne, those vegetables of yours are enough to make a guy green with envy if I were that way inclined :) Gardening is just one of the countless things I do very badly; I have to say this because, since writing a decent post is one of the exceptions to that rule, anyone reading me here is likely getting a false picture of who I really am. :)

Obviously, one of the marvelous things the Internet has done is to greatly expand the group of people I call friends. Some, I have met in-person; many I have not (yet.) One friend is a woman in Texas that withheld the information that she had cancer until after she had had surgery. It was a rare form of cervical cancer, but was already metastasizing throughout her body. Because of the rarity of the particular cancer, a university-affiliated teaching hospital in Texas wanted to "study her." The impression I got was that they had already given up on her, they knew she was going to be consumed by the cancer, and they wanted to document it. Screw that!
So, when I found out, my first thought was getting cannabis oil in her. Not legal in Texas, so I recommended a move (even if temporary) to Colorado, where she could get the oil. She couldn't afford it. She got listed in a group founded as cannabis oil advocates that (somehow) match donor funds with patients that need the oil. Nothing came of that. In the meantime, I recommended that she "alkalinize" her body, and sent half a dozen web links to information for doing so. Plus, my mother-in-law had just died, never having tried the Essiac tea I sent her, and that was returned to me, unopened, after her death. So, I sent the Essiac tea (with sorrel root) to my friend. She prepared it, and drank it, as well as her new diet to alkalinize her body (and I had also recommended nothing but organics, lots of fruits/fruit smoothies, and pure spring water - which was available to her locally (http://www.findaspring.com/).) And, of course, I sent "healing vibes" and love to her as well. (I am still unsure as to how much - if any - healing energy can be transmitted over a distance by anyone, especially someone like me that doesn't have any "special powers", but I do it anyway.)
Fast forward a couple of months... My friend went for a check-up and was declared "cancer free!"

Truly worth sharing, Dennis, and your comments were spot on.
But for me there was that extra element of my memory of meeting him, when he was still Cat Stevens.
I had this Greek friend, Costi, who used to fly with him to Brazil, and one night Costi invited him, his buddy or bodyguard, a huge guy anyway, myself and my ex husband to a dinner in a tiny Greek restaurant in Knightsbridge London, and we were the only people there.
And I was so star struck, and too shy to think of relevant questions, lacking confidence, that all I remember is this bodyguard fellow who was with him eating a whole baked Alaska which normally served ten people, and he ate it all by himself. And there was also some chatter about Rio, and the amazing girls there.
That must have been in the mid seventies. He was a serious fellow, and perhaps like me was attracted to the exuberance of our mutual friend Costi, with whom he had been friends for a long time, both being Greeks who lived in London. So whenever one of these incredibly talented people with whom I crossed paths me are mentioned I just have lots of regrets about having been too shy, and not knowing how to get them to open up more the way some journalist interviewers can. It is an art to put someone like that at ease.

We had a fire on the ridge the other day. Called it in and they said they were on it. We heard sirens moving to the ridge for about ten minutes.
I'd hate to be a fireman in the Sierra foothills. The land here is crammed with bushes, brush, trees, brambles, try to take a step in the jungle, and vines will trip you, thorns will catch you, you can't walk upright, and if you go off the established trails, there are abandoned and invisible mine shafts to watch out for.
Real heroes. Respect.
The birds have found the birdbath on the deck! (We finally fixed the deck faucet.) It's so funny! The towees splash and fling themselves about in utter joy. The deck is awash in a two foot circle around the birdbath by the time they are done lol. A finch in contrast, is like a prissy uptight fuss budget getting the bath over with as soon as possible, no playing about, a member of the life is serious tribe.
We now have three humming bird feeders on the deck, place do either we or the kittehs can watch in comfort. I've been getting up to watch the dawn lately, and the humming birds greet me face to face, before eating breakfast.
So polite. :)
Back to walkies, Dave and I are up to four mile walks again. :)

My daughter is getting married! To a great guy from a great family from Brazil.
Today, she asked me a startling question. She asked if I would marry them! Isn't that something? I am the priest archetype so I can do it. Although I am not certified or whatever they call it. I asked how her fiancé felt about that and she told me he was enthusiastic about it. But I can only marry them spiritually, not legally. Since she has no religion and she is her father's daughter (and her mother's for that matter) she feels I have all the authority she needs. Afterwards they will go to city hall for the legal side.
Even better, it will only be the principles involved and their parents plus only a few others. No nasty family to spoil things. And - it will be at the top of a mountain! Ain't she something? I love that girl and I am so proud of her. She is amazing.
I was wondering what some of you might think of this. Would love some feedback or suggestions - for or against makes no never mind.

Araucaria, I don't know your birthday, and won't ask you to display it here,

I’m not certain. I’m too afraid to check. A couple of things I noticed when I went back early the next day: the replacement nest was tipped in such a way that either Momma and Papa entered or a predator, and the same pigeon is still there from when I hung the nest.
I’ve been adding food for her under the tree. Either way, The Twins are in a better place than on the ground and in the baking sun. That’s the only way I can reconcile my feelings.
I thought I heard them chirping on my walk today but I was too chicken to investigate. The reason why no one sees baby pigeons is because they stay in the nest for sixty days. Which is twice as long as most fledglings. So, I figured there’s time enough to say, “Hi-ho” from a distance or time enough to accept that they’ve upgrade their wings to Angel ones.
For people that missed the post, I researched where it’s an old wives' tale that the parents won’t accept their young if handled by humans. Typically, parents are close by to keep an eye on them if they fall out of the nest. If you can’t find the original one, then build a makeshift one out of a container. Poke holds in it and add paper towel and wash clothes. The Mama and Papa will continue with their duties in the substitute home.

I got me a gorilla cart, for hauling around all these straw bales I got. I'm going to be trying out bale gardening in the woods, where the soil is basically sand and clay with a thin layer of humus on top (carrots are the only thing that ever grew). The new wagon will also be one heck of a toy.
Sure wish we were seeing Flash around these parts.

Here in France we are in the final third week of the Tour de France, a cycle race that has a huge publicity caravan preceding the racers and millions of campers and holiday-makers joining cycling enthusiasts along the 3,000 km circuit. It is also a big TV soap for several hours each afternoon, combining the sport with stunning pictures of the beautiful regions and landmarks of France, so there’s something for everyone, granny included. So not only is there big money in all this, it is also a good way of pushing in people’s faces that the circus they are witnessing is not all it appears. Doping is so firmly established, and detection is so consistently lagging behind, that all the leaders are being prejudged by the public at large on the basis of the past sins of their predecessors. Deniability is still in place, but it is no longer very plausible. When accusations are made, they fall on the riders, who are (with the one major exception of Lance Armstrong) mostly nice fellows grinding out a living, i.e. deflected away from the team sponsors, most notably Sky, which as a sports TV channel has several fingers in this pie. Not only do they control how images come into people’s living-rooms, they have turned it into a campaign of self-promotion, with their advertisement on the yellow jersey of the winner, whose identity has never been in doubt almost from the get-go.
Cycling is a team sport and this is the level at which any doping takes place. It has become institutionalized, and since money is involved, it is not only a breach of sporting ethics, it is a crime. And since several individuals are involved, that makes it a conspiracy. Hence the disconnect, the loophole, is between the presumption of innocence that is rightly a cornerstone of our legal system, and the presumption of guilt that assails anyone who is not totally naïve. And clearly there are large numbers of people who once bitten are now twice shy: the technical and tactical aspects of the event have pretty well disappeared from media stories and online comments sections.
Team Sky has been building its image of cleanness in comparison with what went on before. Many former Tour de France winners have been stripped of their titles, most notably seven-time winner Lance Armstrong; but there has been a lack of clean riders in the top twenty to name a real winner. So dope testing is working, albeit too late for realtime bans. You can build a clean image by rejecting anyone remotely connected with doping bans. But if winning means making the classic climbs at similar speeds to the proven dopers, then you can be expected to come under suspicion, not of anything provable at this time, but of being both literally and metaphorically one step ahead.
However, during the last twenty years, a new method has been being tested, which shows that the belated bans hit 62.5% of those who failed this new test, which is itself not foolproof.

Team Sky is apparently happy to provide personal physiological data of this kind and dispute the analysis made of them. This I would say is because the issue does not lie there at all. Providing figures is merely a way of saying tautologically they can do this because they are physically equipped to do so. It does not explain how the goalposts have been moved to make previously impossible performances possible. No doubt some genetic analysis would be required to distinguish between individuals with new abilities and the rest of us. If this is not done now, then later will be too late: the moving goalposts will be validated unwittingly and tacitly, once and for all. Alternatively, if it were to be done, then a new division would be needed between humans and non-humans/mutants, on similar lines to junior/senior, lightweight/heavyweight, men/women divisions in other sports. Quite obviously, you only have to look at the gender issue to understand that this is a distinction that is nowhere near happening.
Given that a) it is a fact of life that sportswomen’s performances are way below men’s, and b) in sports such as tennis, women’s prize money has risen to parity or near parity (the rightness of which is not in question), and c) cheating is rife in sport, then the logical conclusions are that d) it would be rather amazing if no one was trying to take advantage of the situation, and e) there would be efforts to make the real rationale of the situation taboo, behind the shield of irrelevant political incorrectness, including race. Hence in the case of tennis, any real debate would have no place for the ‘femininity police’ mentioned in the article below.

Counter-intuitively, as we have moved away from the simple male/female dichotomy towards a more varied landscape, gender issues have become increasingly touchy. And we have had allegations of sexual abuse from top female professionals. You also have Patty Schnyder, who reached world n°7, and whose ex-husband, trainer and guru is apparently in trouble with the law for dilapidating her 8 million+ prize money. So this is very much not conspiracy theory but mainstream news.
I would make two points: a) while the Williams’ huge success in the women’s game may or may not be due to some degree to a dose of masculinity, to put it clumsily, this particular instance masks a wider issue: in the absence of regulations to the contrary, anyone possessing ID marked “F” is rightfully entitled to enter women’s competitions, which nowadays could have the unfortunate effect of taking certain levels of competition outside of most women’s physical range; b) with regard specifically to the Williams case, the only aspect of this situation that deserves, but is unlikely to get, investigation would be the scenario whereby their father and coach, who admits to having pushed them from too early an age and indeed planned their careers before they were born (legal forms of abuse), maybe abused them in this altogether more serious way for obvious motives of financial gain.

Dan, I love your creativity and your excellent humor. At other times and in other places we would have shot 1735 episodes of that series, the plot seems highly promising. But Iloveyou feels the need to hide in the woods of Brittany for a while.
You see, in Paris you're never to be alone.

I saw lots of babies and toddlers that were filled with giggles and smiles. One of their missions is to remind us of here and now. They're the keepers of purity and freedom. And they open up spaces for us to see who or what we’ve allow to be joy-stealers.

Here it is, 3:06p.m. in my neck of the woods. Here? Owensboro, KY. USA. Just a podunk little town but it's nice. Anyhoo, I am sitting at my desk and reading these little blurbs about daily life snags and I start thinking about my routine for today. Well I went to bed at 8: 15 a.m. this morning finally tired and I remember thinking, man I cannot go to sleep, but I have to I am so tired! I finally managed to dose off. When I woke up it was to find all the pets in my bed sleeping with me. I wondered why they were? Oh well. Mine is not to reason why but just know, they love me and find their comfort by being near me. It's as simple as that. I get up as I can't tary long in bed when I awake as my bladder let's me know, I have to get up and go relieve myself. I then go to the kitchen and fix my breakfast, whatever I can assemble. I can't do much as I am disabled and it can be a hastle. My lower back feels like it's gonna break. That's the first pain of the day whenever I get around; my back starts to protest, my right hip is another. So goes my days. I am caught up in these snares after having 3 strokes and heart failure brought on by Diabetes no doubt. If I had, had any inkling the diabetes would lead to these problems would it have made a difference or just be postponed? Just postponed I think. I am chained to a walker now and feel like I need a wheel chair but my Doc says he won't prescribe one for me. I might surprise him and get one anyway. It's gonna cost without medical insurance but I have need of it. He does not understand that.
Anyway, about breakfast, I fix what I am able to and then go back to my bedroom to eat it and peruse the internet. Sometimes I get a wild hair and decide to suffer through fixing eggs and toast and bacon or so if I have it. I like my eggs see. I like my coffee too. Sometimes I fix some as my son comes wandering in to see if I am setting things on fire or not. lol! Oh geez! I get a phone call, it's one of home health workers saying she' coming in 10 minutes for my bath. Routine on Fridays. I call her back to tell her I got the message abnd I'll be ready for her arrival. About the internet, I have specific things I do like FARMERAMA, Friendly Farmers Forum, and FACEBOOK games like CRIMINAL CASE, etc. I don't play too many games but I like to occupy my mind a little bit each day. I like to play solitaire when I can too. Otherwise I like to go outside in my backyard and sit and swing. I can't garden anymore as I can't bend down to do it. So I enjoy the fruits of my plantings from the past. At least I have those. I reconcile myself to bygone days of when I could do things and could walk without aid and do for myself, an independent spirit. Heck, I could even play the guitar and sing; those were the days my friends, I thought they'd never end, we'd sing and dance forever and again. We'd pick the life we'd choose, we'd fight and never lose, those were the days, oh yes those were the days. And so my saga comes to an end sorta. I don't wanna relinquish my grasp entirely. I ain't ready to give up. I am still here, living and breathing and when I need to, I protest my helplessness. I am still fighting my existence. I am. I got my rest , now I am ready to do battle with life as I know it. :shielddeflect:

I wanted to share what I have been working on. It is no where as near beautiful as Ulli's gardens! :flower: So many of you have shared such beautiful picture of your work. Dennis, I love your guitars! Silkie, your painting of the lioness was so inspiring! :heart:
This is a blanket that I am working on for a friends grandchild that is coming in June! Lots of healing loving intent is being poured into this blanket that I am crocheting.
I will post another update as I finish the blanket and hat and embellish with tiny blue little roses!

dragged along, open-mouthed, at the scene. Henry starts

room. The harried maitre d' (he is surrounded by
customers clamoring for their tables) waves happily at
Henry and signals to a CAPTAIN. We see a table held

moment been a ringside table. As Henry leads Karen to

In my experience it is the same effect of learning a new skill. It takes time for the neurological changes to take hold, so that the reflexes become natural and flow freely.
In this case it is the new information that has to take hold and flow freely. The new thinking has to take hold and flow freely. Like physical workouts, it takes repetition and constancy to make it take hold, and when we slip back into no work, for too long a time, we lose that skill, we lose that health of the body, that strength of the body.
Neurological change is the same in that regard of how it happens.
I've had that happen quite a bit, where I'll have peak moment a peak realization, and it will slip away. To feel it slipping away, as it is just revealed. Nothing evil about it , nothing about contrary influence (entities, etc), unless you can call the context of relation to and of the rest of the world ....being the thing that causes the fall back or slip back down the slope, from that peak moment.
Sometimes, to write peak things/moments down, this can sometimes help. But they can also sound and look like gobbledygook to us when we read them back later on, as the connectivity moment is gone and the context is missing.
The deal is that it is not like driving down a road and then stop the car and put a marker in the soil. The car may hold it's own but our mind cannot. Not immediately, at least. The mind is, metaphorically speaking, on a slope. Trying to drive up a slope. and it's brakes are weak, and subject to failure, if there is no regular and constant maintenance. No matter what one does with their brain, it is always on a slope. Either parked on it, or driving up it. Or slipping backward. There is no resting plateau, in reality, there is only a given short rest time that we might, though desire...mistake for a plateau. The slope is a constant and rust is never sleeping.
It is neurological exercise, creating both the actual pathways, space and potential, so it is of the mind's needs and ways. How it operates, is key to dealing with the variances in condition. Food, health, good mindfulness, good exercise so the whole machine/body is running like a top.
Not being involved in degenerative mental processes which hamper the attempt. Arguing with the world, being in conflict in the given environment, for elevating the mind.... is like eating a box of donuts when you are trying to get strong, healthy, capable, and slim.

It seems like a larger world, at first, but in fact, it is like learning to drive a car, which is a limited skill set that has no future beyond itself. It does not open doors beyond it's limits, it curtails intelligence into a repetitious rut shutting off neurons which previously explored the world, in order to open one's vistas into potentials, potentials in newness and variance, unknowns. New tests and scientific studies are showing that 'life on a smart phone' is dumbing people down.
The open world potential of a human mind...is neurologically lost, neurologically removed ...exchanged...for a small comfortable repetitious circle.

When I woke up it was to find all the pets in my bed sleeping with me. I wondered why they were? Oh well. Mine is not to reason why but just know, they love me and find their comfort by being near me. It's as simple as that. I get up as I can't tary long in bed when I awake as my bladder let's me know, I have to get up and go relieve myself. I then go to the kitchen and fix my breakfast, whatever I can assemble. I can't do much as I am disabled and it can be a hastle. My lower back feels like it's gonna break. That's the first pain of the day whenever I get around; my back starts to protest, my right hip is another. So goes my days. I am caught up in these snares after having 3 strokes and heart failure brought on by Diabetes no doubt. If I had, had any inkling the diabetes would lead to these problems would it have made a difference or just be postponed? Just postponed I think. I am chained to a walker now and feel like I need a wheel chair but my Doc says he won't prescribe one for me. I might surprise him and get one anyway. It's gonna cost without medical insurance but I have need of it. He does not understand that.
Anyway, about breakfast, I fix what I am able to and then go back to my bedroom to eat it and peruse the internet. Sometimes I get a wild hair and decide to suffer through fixing eggs and toast and bacon or so if I have it. I like my eggs see. I like my coffee too. Sometimes I fix some as my son comes wandering in to see if I am setting things on fire or not. lol! Oh geez! I get a phone call, it's one of home health workers saying she' coming in 10 minutes for my bath. Routine on Fridays. I call her back to tell her I got the message abnd I'll be ready for her arrival. About the internet, I have specific things I do like FARMERAMA, Friendly Farmers Forum, and FACEBOOK games like CRIMINAL CASE, etc. I don't play too many games but I like to occupy my mind a little bit each day. I like to play solitaire when I can too. Otherwise I like to go outside in my backyard and sit and swing. I can't garden anymore as I can't bend down to do it. So I enjoy the fruits of my plantings from the past. At least I have those. I reconcile myself to bygone days of when I could do things and could walk without aid and do for myself, an independent spirit. Heck, I could even play the guitar and sing; those were the days my friends, I thought they'd never end, we'd sing and dance forever and again. We'd pick the life we'd choose, we'd fight and never lose, those were the days, oh yes those were the days. And so my saga comes to an end sorta. I don't wanna relinquish my grasp entirely. I ain't ready to give up. I am still here, living and breathing and when I need to, I protest my helplessness. I am still fighting my existence. I am. I got my rest , now I am ready to do battle with life as I know it. :shielddeflect:
p.s. oh! I noticed somebody has the same name as my real name; Jean Marie! Funny I hardly ever run across that name. I am nonplussed. Hi. Nice to meet somebody with the same name. That's a trip! :flower: I must be in the right place then!
Boy, I had a lot to say. Holy smokes! Anyway I hope y'all will read what I said and can understand where I am coming from. I opened myself to you. It's as if I feel the caring already in your midst. That's good ain't it? :bearhug:

Someone asked me a question and the reply is good for all, as reminder or general data, whatever the case may be.
On finding and maintaining peak moments, so they are not lost. To move forward within them, within their context.

In my experience it is the same effect of learning a new skill. It takes time for the neurological changes to take hold, so that the reflexes become natural and flow freely.
In this case it is the new information that has to take hold and flow freely. The new thinking has to take hold and flow freely. Like physical workouts, it takes repetition and constancy to make it take hold, and when we slip back into no work, for too long a time, we lose that skill, we lose that health of the body, that strength of the body.
Neurological change is the same in that regard of how it happens.
I've had that happen quite a bit, where I'll have peak moment a peak realization, and it will slip away. To feel it slipping away, as it is just revealed. Nothing evil about it , nothing about contrary influence (entities, etc), unless you can call the context of relation to and of the rest of the world ....being the thing that causes the fall back or slip back down the slope, from that peak moment.
Sometimes, to write peak things/moments down, this can sometimes help. But they can also sound and look like gobbledygook to us when we read them back later on, as the connectivity moment is gone and the context is missing.
The deal is that it is not like driving down a road and then stop the car and put a marker in the soil. The car may hold it's own but our mind cannot. Not immediately, at least. The mind is, metaphorically speaking, on a slope. Trying to drive up a slope. and it's brakes are weak, and subject to failure, if there is no regular and constant maintenance. No matter what one does with their brain, it is always on a slope. Either parked on it, or driving up it. Or slipping backward. There is no resting plateau, in reality, there is only a given short rest time that we might, though desire...mistake for a plateau. The slope is a constant and rust is never sleeping.
It is neurological exercise, creating both the actual pathways, space and potential, so it is of the mind's needs and ways. How it operates, is key to dealing with the variances in condition. Food, health, good mindfulness, good exercise so the whole machine/body is running like a top.
Not being involved in degenerative mental processes which hamper the attempt. Arguing with the world, being in conflict in the given environment, for elevating the mind.... is like eating a box of donuts when you are trying to get strong, healthy, capable, and slim.

This is tied to why 'life on a smart phone' is dangerous.
It seems like a larger world, at first, but in fact, it is like learning to drive a car, which is a limited skill set that has no future beyond itself. It does not open doors beyond it's limits, it curtails intelligence into a repetitious rut shutting off neurons which previously explored the world, in order to open one's vistas into potentials, potentials in newness and variance, unknowns. New tests and scientific studies are showing that 'life on a smart phone' is dumbing people down.
The open world potential of a human mind...is neurologically lost, neurologically removed ...exchanged...for a small comfortable repetitious circle.

No more apartment, nor car, in Barbados. The car finally sold at the eleventh hour.
Back in Costa Rica, which feels like home. What a relief. What a trip...insane...
Might do Barbados only once a year from now on, staying with friends and two weeks maximum.
Found out who my real friends are, and certain people showed their true colors.
Such an eye opener....

Sheesh, Carmody. I know well what you speak of. I vascillate between feeling crazy or feeling blank. Struggling to remember or struggling to suspend disbelief. As usual, your post is timely for me.
I'm sorry to hear you have left Barbados, Ulli. I guess part of you will remain. It doesn't sound like the best of circumstances, doesn't feel like that was an easy decision. I hope it is a good move for you, and you have peace about it.
