Welcome aboard 665!!!

Thank you Astrid, i have read a lot of your comments, its good to finally have the chance to participate in discussions, and hopefuly contribute something that is useful. (pardon my stinky english, its not my native tongue).

Hi there and welcome.
I see you are flying the Dutch flag.
I know that many people in Holland live below sea level
and so they had to become experts at keeping the sea water from causing drips.
So in a way the Dutch are plumbers on a large scale level. Or can you also unblock drains in our little Village?
I was curious and hope you don't mind me asking....who is the beast in your avatar
and what does the 665 (666-1?) stand for?

Yes i live below sea level like almost everybody, in this country of cheese, cows and other stereotypes of the dutch.
The name of the little dude who who plugged up the Levy (dijk we call them here) was supposedly Hansje Brinker.
I do not plug up leaky drains in real life, but i have some knowledge of it, i also fix cars and lay bricks and am a social worker.
The beast in the avatar is a standard hand avatar just as Avalon offers them and i picked this one.
The 665 stand for nothing else as being the neigbour of the beast who happens to be a plummer just for the hell of it ( no evil pun intended at all)Seemed like a funny name to me, at least creative IMO. Make of it as you will

Belle:
Ernie, quick question. You had said you were an electrician. Are you self-medicating by using the herb? Using it to clear away the aches and pains and stress of the day? Perhaps a visit to an acupuncturist would help if that is so. The spiritual work may be a bit easier once the physical is taken care of.

I wish I could say you hit it on the head, but alas, no. I use it to escape a world I do not enjoy, and one I wish I did not have to live in. Except, that reason does not apply anymore, in truth. When I was the only one with eyes to see, I felt very alone and hopeless. It seemed I alone saw the inequities and insanity of this world. But that was thirty years ago. Obviously, that's not the case anymore. Smoking back then galvanised me, inspired me and elevated my mood. I find it only gets in my way these days and robs me of my vitality often times. And now I just go play video games in that state. BORING.
I think some sort of energy work would be quite beneficial, thanks for turning my thoughts inward.

Welcome 665! Never a dull moment, here and now in the village.

Picking up on eaglespirit's headline here
transform, transmute, transcend....

Transcendence without transformation only leads to psychological crashes...I'm sure we all can agree on that one.
But how can transformation be attained?
Fear does have as much of a role in this as hope for something better.
A combo method of those two has always worked for me while I was religious.
The old reward and punishment duality thingy...

Nowadays that I can access inspiration more easily all that is required is a quick step into a mental zero field...
like using the Ho'oponopono method.
Few techniques have worked for me like that one. I know quite a few here are also familiar with it, but a little reminder can't hurt.
XpCrV6bElzA

Tears. I am cleansed. This is always the ending to these silly little tizzies of mine. The reunion with Source, in sincerity and humbleness. I'm sorry, Please Forgive me! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. I love you, my God! And so it is.
Beautiful.

Thank you for sharing Belle. It was dizzying however I didn't want it to end so soon Wanted to see where the basin was going ;)

From what I've seen, after some shifting, it seems to try to get back to where it was before the shifting started. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, but usually ends up fairly close. Pretty cool, tho. And I don't drink alcohol or smoke the gange or any of that good stuff...

Welcome to the Village, 665.

Ernie, just trying to eliminate the obvious. I've known a lot of people in the construction business who don't realize that they are self-medicating when they drink or smoke on a daily basis to ease aches and pains.

Ho'oponopono is powerful and life-changing. So thankful it touched you.

The right message at the right time....just perfect, Ulli.

Lisab, for all the music I listened to today, 'Wash Your Spirit Clean' echoes in the background through all of it. So glad Rita Coolidge returned to her Cherokee roots and joined her sister and niece to form Walela...beautiful harmonies and so soothing. And so glad you enjoyed it.

Hi Villagers,
I just wanted to tell somebody about this thing that I did.
It was a self-sabotage, but as Gurdjieff taught, we sometimes need a shock to keep us awake.
Last year, I had a bunch of bad teeth pulled at long last (what a relief that was, once it was over) and got dentures, thanks to the kindness and compassion of a bunch of friends and neighbors who contributed to a $2,000 fund raiser for that purpose. :luv:
But about a week ago, I misplaced the things, and could not find them anywhere.
I take them out when I am not eating or out and about because they are uncomfortable.
And I tend to put them down on tabletops, or in a pocket, etc. to be put away in their container later.
When I finally realized they were missing the next day, I looked everywhere, even put my hands down in the trash can and indoor compost bucket and felt around in there, and I went outside to the big compost pile and squished my hands all around in there too, :yuck: but didn't find them.
I looked under chairs, in the parking area and car, under the bed, in all my coat pockets, EVERYWHERE; still no dentures.
After a couple of days, I emailed a couple of psychic dowser friends to see if they could help me locate them long distance. :help:
I was feeling so remorseful and guilty, :sorry: because I had forgotten to be grateful, and had been focusing more on how uncomfortable they were.
At the same time, I figured I had done this to myself just because of that very ingratitude, but I was still really scared of never finding them.
And time was running out.
Finally, 2 days ago, I went for an acupuncture treatment, and told my therapist what had happened, which felt good, as she was very understanding.
I asked her to say a prayer for me. ( I was saying prayers non-stop!)
When I got home, it was starting to get dark, but I decided to take the compost bucket out and dump it as it was full.
In the twilight, I noticed something pink and shiny, and lo and behold! it was the upper plate!
I spent about 20 minutes in the dark, feeling around in the stinky mess of decomposing, slimy stuff, then went to get a flashlight and spent another 10 minutes or so searching, but no luck.
The next day, I went out and spent another 10 minutes or so feeling around, and found the lower plate at last.
Such a relief!:biggrin1:
I must have been online and, absent minded, put them on a plate of uneaten food that was destined to go in the compost, and didn't have my glasses on, so I missed seeing them later when I dumped everything on the plate into the compost bucket.
I guess I must have needed a whole week in shock to wake up to how much I needed them and needed to be grateful for them, not to mention-- needed to be more in the Here and Now.

That night, though, I had dreams about helpless, squishy, gross snails and mollusks that had to be rescued and put back into their their shells, and I had to do it with my bare hands.
But I still felt like I had a new lease on life when I woke up, and still do...

Power is out, on the UPS at the moment. Debating getting a generator up and running, as the power will be out until about 3am. They say 2am. Their estimates are usually wrong by about 2-4 hours, minimum.

Running 8 candles and 4 oil lamps to try and keep the temperatures up. This house is....electrically heated. +60mile/hr +(100k/hr) wind gusts took the power lines down.....somewhere.

I miss my dog right now, as the UPS beeps once...every 10 seconds. That would cause an 80lb wolfish dog that wasn't afraid of anything.....to try and crawl inside of you --to get away from the scary beep sound.

The candles are nice new polish ones. found them at the local junk store, knew they would come in handy. those big pillar types, and from a 190 year old candle company, so I know the product is good. (regarding smoke and effluent output). A company by the name of 'Bolsius'.

Built a fire early today the temperature is descending fast. We had high winds then 2 days of rain now much cooler days and nights. More rain due in a few days: I stacked more wood in the house. Quiet in the forest.

A very dear friend of mine just found out he has leukemia.... they say it does not look good. He is an elder man and has done much for his own people and helped many people in his life -including me. Been a guiding light and force in my life for many years, even though we come from different cultures.

So I am asking the Villagers for a prayer for him..... his initials are SC.

Ah yes, Ernie. That's it. Back then it drove me bonkers..and I never met anyone who had any inklings, at all. Not a soul. No text in the library, nothing.

But..the science fiction writers..they had it, they knew. And they wrote about those struggles in the shape of issues on the future.

When I was in grade 10, IIRC, the English teacher had us read:

"The Space Merchants" (http://templetongate.tripod.com/space-merchants-war.htm).

Which I told her I had already read two or three times.

So I am asking the Villagers for a prayer for him..... his initials are SC.

blood cancer. MMS? I also heard tell of an anti clotting agent as of recent..that seems to remove the outer covering of the given cells..and this also removes the 'cover' for cancer cells. it seems to then be that the cancer cells are recognized by the body as their disguise is gone. And then the immune system clears it out very fast.

I'm familiar with MMS. Will look up anti clotting agent/cancer cells and also see what is available to him.... he lives on one of the most destitute impoverished reserves in the US..... and I do not know yet what his decisions are about his treatment.

Everytime I read about such cases, I get a lump in my throat. My best friend died of Waldenström macroglobulinemia, a rare and chronic type. They call it indolent. No pain, until too far....

Here and Now, I came across this article from the Max Planck Gesellschaft linked from the (high-discernenment-required) site Before Its News.com.

I welcome the topic of examining supplemental- as Modwiz put it- plant-based chemicals being used for tools, pleasure, and/or crutches. In my own experience......................... Wait, what was I talking about again?

Anyhoo, in 2004, my wife and I, before our marriage, visited the Anchor Steam Brewery while in San Francisco. The palpable aroma in the hop vault still pervades my olfactory memory. That's where I first came across their brew Ninkasi, and the poem "The Hymn To Ninkasi." http://beeradvocate.com/articles/304

Needless to say, the beer wasn't available to taste, but the poem clung to me like a thick paper beer coaster to a wet pint glass. At the time, I had begun reading into Sumerian myth and Sitchin, and this intrigued me enough to take the words verbatim, and put music to it. Different recorded versions were lost in the days between, but just last week I was compelled to sit down and record it again for $#!ts and giggles. Very rough, first takes, I never was blessed with a choir voice, etc..... Synchronistically, after re-doing so and sharing it with a couple of great friends, ;) , I came across the poem again online. Ha! http://beforeitsnews.com/story/1630/637/NL/A_Closely_Held_Sumerian_Secret:_4000_Year_Old_Recipe_For_An_Alcoholic_Beverage.html

I would like to share the mp3 recording of it, but my ineptitude is overcoming my resourcefulness. Anybody know how to post an mp3? I see the icon, but I don't know how to put the actual file between the [MP3] marks. I''l give it a go, and see wahat happens when it posts.

[MP3]Hymn to Ninkasi, 1 10:05 Durcheinander 1/8-9/12

I am unsure how to post an MP3. Does anyone have suggestions?

Let's see if this worked. Well if you click the link it gives you a page with just the mp3.

This is a song I wrote and played all of the instrument on except the drums. I sing lead as well.
The name of the song is Marijuana. The genre of music is Swamp Rock. This was recorded in two hours. Most tracks were one take and keep it. Mixing is also at a minimum. It is a raw recording.

It is a fun song during a wild time of my shared life. Before I changed things.

Give it a click and a listen. If you dare.

Yes. Here is a thoughtful one. I am with a band here, Oedipus Next, and I play the bass only. Singing is handled by the writer and lead guitar player.

Feeling concern for everyone now. Can't play the sound files as I don't want to disturb my sleeping husband, nor cats.
Prayed for Nora's friend SC and also looked at some weather satellte maps. Greenland is warmer now than where you are Carmody. Is your power back yet? If I lived in a cold place like that I would install a gas cooker so as to have back-up during electric power outages. Here in Costa Rica we have no central heating and it can become quite cold at nights. So I use the oven as a fire place...it heats up the cabina in no time.
The only noise right now is from the river. Feeling grateful as my health is picking up. Twenty four hours ago I was vomiting up a shrimp dinner ..second time that happened to me. Felt week all day yesterday as a result of it.
No more shrimp, ever again.

This thread has made me realize that recently, I have been so focussed on finding ways of explaining stuff that I do not chat.

I never had much chat in me anyway, and I certainly am not motivated to small talk in real life to anyone, except out of social necessity and urban professional camouflage (not that I am saying this thread is small talk! - From what I have read it is anything but that).

On the way home this evening, on a train, in my little iPod bubble of nice sounds, sitting somewhat relaxed - but a slight ache in the neck from the chairs that dont fit me quite right, staring out of the window into the setting sun scape - I even found myself thinking about chatting on this thread and how it is still a valid exchange of energy.

As two or more people who meet face to face and discuss a mutually interesting subject raises a palpable energy among them, both blessing and enriching each in the exchange of it - so too can - our words (chosen by intent) be encoded and bring with them a resonant energy - offered for the exchange for those who wish it.

These words are so encoded.

I am a late starter to this thread, and I now see that this group has identified itself as a village - something I have not noticed before.

It is a fitting thing, and resonates with me as I yearn for the coming times when the villages in which we live and share, or through which we travel will be all we have and all we actually need.

Thanks!

I have noticed among those somnolent people around me - in my week-daily deep-dive into the oppression of city life, that a rather large percentage, more than I expected, are starting to ask significant questions.

It is encouraging, as I am certain that they are a "tell" of those first yawns and stretches of morning time.

Yes, I think to myself, it is time to wake up, here let me pull those curtains back for you - come one - its time to get out of bed and step into the world that was here before you were sent to sleep by those oh-so-clever lullaby's.

OK. Another song by Oedipus Next. This one, "Never Forget" is the kind of sing you get when a rich boy has a run in with the cops who are not as impressed with him as he is with himself. Still, it is a true story about abuse of power. One moment laconic and then an adrenaline rushed frenzy.

I post a picture of myself from those times during a rehearsal with that band.

I concur.

In fact you are spot on.

These past months I have witnessed some profound and amazing changes in myself. I don't mind being who I am now, nor in fact who I was - it was clearly necessary. I too was blissfully unaware of the damage I was doing to myself and my other-selves as a sleepwalker. On further awakening to my true nature, and realizing even now that I am not fully "aware" but certainly more than I was, I now find a new set of challenges.

The way this manifests for me is hearing that voice, the other me, from the other side of the bridge I posted about the other day.

I love the challenges though. These days I look forward to and appreciate the challenges. Commonly asked in the office "What are you so happy about?" when people know I am doing "boring" work (which is seasonal).

HAHA... i have no doubt!

Update on my Birch post.
This is pretty interesting.

"The Birch tree (Old Irish “Beith,” genus Betula) is a deciduous tree with white or grey bark.

As the birch is one of the earliest to gain its spring leaves, it is the tree of youth and the new year and its birch rods were used to drive out the spirit of the old year. It is a birch rod that Robin Red Breast used to slay the wren in a furze (gorse) bush on St. Stephen’s Day.

In Wales, the birch is a tree of love and wreaths of birch are woven as love tokens, its trunk used for the maypole. Like many trees with protective properties, birch boughs over cradles and carriages protect infants against the glamour of the Little People.

Phenologically, the leafing out of the birch marked the beginning of the agricultural year in some Scandinavian countries.

Birch twigs were one of the three woods used in the witch’s besom. Bound to the handle, the birch broom represents the Goddess in maiden form. Birch represents the letter “B” in the ogham alphabet and the first tree month extending from December 24 to January 24. "

here, too.

http://www.treesforlife.org.uk/forest/mythfolk/birch.html

"Folklore and herbalism credit different parts of the birch with a variety of medicinal properties. The leaves are diuretic and antiseptic, and an effective remedy for cystitis and other urinary tract infections. They were also used to dissolve kidney stones and relieve rheumatism and gout. The sap (as wine or cordial) similarly prevents kidney and bladder stones, treats rheumatism, and can be used to treat skin complaints. The bark is said to ease muscle pain if applied externally."

he totally freaks out. I bent a thin branch into a Celtic
knot design and put it on his collar, its going to be

from pacing and panting, to totally calm, very cool indeed.

Mornin'
Here and now...have been frazzled, absolutely not a moment alone. Grrrr. Quite perplexing how, why, and when I became such a hermit. I hear the clicking rhythm of the clock, hummmm of heater. I see the lamp, actually 3. This is the here and now. Running and running tends to make me feel like the world is a merry-go-round, and I need the ride to stop for a breather. The tick-tock reminds me there is no true silence for me.

Have been hesitant to share, even log-in for fear I would be a vampire and suck the good energy out of the village, or somehow damage it or something. I don't want to take, take, take. That's not me. So, I have been sort of holding back from even dipping my toe to test the temp, for fear some green sludge would drip into the clear, cool and refreshing waters here.

I miss my zone so much. I dislike living in the here and now to the exclusion of my spiritual self. I wish I could be that all the time. Sometimes I feel like I'm not in either, just limbo, going through the motions.

19 years ago, an event occurred in my life. Others who have experienced this event also report the memory and difficulties associated with it re-appearing annually. It's an anniversary of sorts, sometimes a reminder of how fragile we are and other times a reminder of how strong. When it first occurred, it was like my life was a glass jar filled with marbles that was dropped on a ceramic tile floor. Every marble was an aspect of who I was. In finding a new container, I found that some marbles didn't fit in the container even with some of the marbles having disappeared. It was a very painful 2 or 3 years, but eventually I came to know the new me. And as life progressed, I found that instead of living in a gray cloud, the sun came out to bless me...at first maybe only a few weeks of the year, but gradually for more and more time. Now, sun is the norm and the gray cloud appears fleetingly. Apparently, this year for a week or so.

This cloud is very thick, and it blocks signals from every direction. I know to just let the cloud happen, it will pass. But, it does effect every aspect of who I am. I wake up perturbed, and normal, every day stuff aggravates me. Not a good time to make decisions, really, because it is this agitated me that is present. Oh, I put on a good face, but...

Love to all,

19 years ago is yesterdays news. If the cuts and the scrapes on our skin refused to heal and close our physical bodies would be the same wreckage most emotional bodies are in. This is letting go or forgiving that is the magic that heals. Scars may remain, they are the memory, but the memory dealt with and closure made. Let the wisdom of your skin show you how to deal with wounds. Its secret is it does hold on to the hurt. It takes no insult in being rent open. Wholeness, as best as is possible, is always its way. Disease is invariably the emotional body and its insults and traumas vibrating to the physical level and overwhelming the somatic body with pathos.

As long as you can stand posts like this one, I can stand to here your 'stuff'. There are those here who will listen and not even get on a soap box either.

Glad you made to the here and now again.

PurpleLama,

Nothing is known of him; beyond the fact, which seems clear from his writings, that he was a cloistered monk devoted to the contemplative life. It has been thought that he was a Carthusian. But the rule of that austere order, whose members live p. 8 in hermit‑like seclusion, and scarcely meet except for the purpose of divine worship, can hardly have afforded him opportunity of observing and enduring all those tiresome tricks and absurd mannerisms of which he gives so amusing and realistic a description in the lighter passages of the Cloud. These passages betray the half‑humorous exasperation of the temperamental recluse, nervous, fastidious, and hypersensitive, loving silence and peace, but compelled to a daily and hourly companionship with persons of a less contemplative type: some finding in extravagant and meaningless gestures an outlet for suppressed vitality; others overflowing with a terrible cheerfulness like “giggling girls and nice japing jugglers”; others so lacking in repose that they “can neither sit still, stand still, nor lie still, unless they be either wagging with their feet or else somewhat doing with their hands.” Though he cannot go to the length of condemning these habits as mortal p. 9 sins, the author of the Cloud leaves us in no doubt as to the irritation with which they inspired him, or the distrust with which he regards the spiritual claims of those who fidget.

OMFUMFE! (My alternative to OMG, which is Oh My Freaking Unified Masculine and Feminine Energies!) This absolutely FREAKED me OUT!

Thanks...

If people are doing that could it be that perhaps something has shifted inside of you first?
Sometimes we go back to sleep because everyone else is sleeping.

I'm going to look at what I just wrote here, and take it as advice for myself. After all, it is 4:50 am and I could do with a couple of extra hours....

This is a trick, by the way, which I can recommend everyone to use once in a while:
Whatever advice you are giving to another, use it as a message for yourself...it came straight from your soul.

Yes, yes, yes Ulli...in full accordance : )
Been listening to my own prompted one on one deliveries for quite some time now, what it does also is refresh the personal experiences that gathered the wisdom that is meant to be shared when the receiver is in front of us...gratitude and harmony enhance the sharing in a beautiful almost effortless way!
The simple things shared here at the Here and Now are the most profound, imho.

To appreciate simple things means one is well on the way to becoming an abstract thinker. After that all that is left is math.
And what can be simpler than doing one's math?

1 In many
We are very much connected to source
energy in the here and now of the village
It never runs out , there is always enough
the cup over flowing for those true seekers .

it took me along time to learn to accept as equally
as I gave . Then I realized I was blocking my own
flow by not having and equal share of give and take.
It turns out that true seekers also love to help. In a way
it even becomes a selfish act . If I don't give out constantly
my energy flow gets all jammed up and it's gets really
uncomfortable after a while, I just feel blah . So please
don't feel bad for one second tbat you are taking , because
It only helps to keep the channels open and flowing.
And many of us are here in service, it's our dharma
to assist . So please pull up a seat .
If you can't post here at least know that you can
PM me anytime, I'm sure the other villagers
Will have similar offerings .

Big hugs
Astrid

The Birch is connected to Venus and Goddess energies in
addition to which I seemed to have acquired some muse
spirits after today's playing in the trees . Hence the creative
juices started flowing again. Muse spirits loads of fun but
can also be a wild ride if you let them have too much rein .
But it's been a while so might just let them loose and see
what comes ...

I cleared some branches of an adjoining tree that was
crowding out one of the birches. And i built a small stone
circle around the base out of blue stones that we're lying
around the garden . The birch was most appreciative of
having its own space again so it was happy to return the
favor by allowing me to take some branches .

It just occurred to me that my parents house is called
"The birches" after a massive birch that was in their
front yard . Unfortunatly they lost it in the really bad
drought that we had a few years back .

I'm now realizing that I missed loads of chances to work with
the trees at my last place . Although the block that i still own
has the most magnificent old cotton wood tree it's massive .
Maybe it's time for a visit, I haven't been back since I sold
my house .

Modwiz is harmless, imo. Flirting seems to be a specialty of musicians, a natural response to the music inside....and music is sexy. Just don't take it seriously and you'll be fine, or simply flirt back.

Been working with musicians most of my life. The last band I was in, the lead guitarist and I would tease and flirt incessently, creating an energy that somehow enhanced the music. Then we would go home to our spouses, knowing that what went on between us during the job was left there until the next one.

As to changing...naw, it's easier for a leopard to change his spots than for a bassist to change his teasing ways. Modwiz wouldn't be a wizard if he did.

Upside of the hand. Sounds like radial nerve impingement caused by either misalignment of your neck but most likely the scalene muscles on the side of your neck trapping the nerve as it runs under your collarbone (clavicle) inside of the brachial plexus. (A nerve and circulatory bundle feeding your arm/brachial). If you can palpate/locate some rigid tissue (pissed off muscles) on the side of your neck and rub them you might obtain some relief.

Here is a diagram to explain:http://www.atlantadentist.com/TOS_scalenes.JPG

I actually had a dream about you last night, Modwiz, that I didn't recall until i was standing in line as the tractor supply this morning. You were pushing bee hives into a river, the naturally formed ones and the box one's that bee keepers have. A rather ardous task it appeared. And you were at it for quite a while (nor did I offer to lend you a hand...it seems this task was all yours) You had a grayish robe on --whether this was Gandalf grey or just dirty from toil grey I have no idea. I was the observer watching from the river bank, and I had honey all over my hands, recalling my hands felt sticky. And when you finished you rubbed your own sticky hands together and said, Well They're Safe now. And then something about all tributaries lead to the ocean...

No more shrimp, ever again.

kerosene heaters are the way to go, for long term issues. (wood being #1)

kerosene does not go bad, and it can be safely stored for long periods of time, and it will not evaporate. One can get a 55 gallon drum, fill it with commercially obtained kerosene..and keep that for years and years and years. a kerosene heater that is enough to keep a house from freezing is about $100. with a 10,000 btu kerosene heater..that 55 gallon drum would last almost 2 months. also, kerosene stoves and ovens are available used (might need to rebuild or repair it - one had better have decent mechanical skills). The three things, stove, heater and drum can be stored for a decade. Rubber seal replacements and the like, would need to be stored, is all. I'm not sure there is anything else like that, which can be stored for so long, except woodstoves and similar. Only the woodstove is more bulletproof (regarding functionality and permanence in use or storage) than the kerosene set-up.

The power was back on at 1:30, so That ended sooner than I thought it would.

You guys & gals are spookeeee, you have no idea how closely you touched on my Celtic brethren....

and turning another page.....

a tree poem....yawn maybe, but the best I could come up with -for now.....

"Stand Tall and Proud
Sink your roots deeply into the Earth
Reflect the light of a greater source
Think long term
Go out on a limb
Remember your place among all living beings
Embrace with joy the changing seasons
For each yields its own abundance
The Energy and Birth of Spring
The Growth and Contentment of Summer
The Wisdom to let go of leaves in the Fall
The Rest and Quiet Renewal of Winter"

OK, joinin' in...don't have a 'leaf' one available : ) ...so I'll simply go with a 'worker' one...
as I am finishing up a small workshop, utility, storage building for a friend a few years ago : )
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/1Eagle1/P1000628.jpg

Our 'talents' in the workaday world are becoming limitless potential in the spiritual rhythm of things...that is a part of the whole of togetherness that is coming together as never before...every bit of our experiences and gifts are going to be given away in such a way that ALL those in front of us in our lives are going to be directly affected now...the more we do what we do with a giving emotion in motion the spiritual upgrade is going to be put in HIGH gear as never before.
I just came from a simple meeting with a "giving" soul beyond comprehension...he had a heart-stop-death during surgery years ago, and, well, saw things...and you know the rest of the story...this man is an owner of a very, very large company in the 3d world and goes around 'giving'...no banners, no lights, no announcements....he just does it. He has been doing this for years now.
I am sharing this here because I feel something is about to "pop" in this rhythm...there are going to be more Souls like Him doing this this very year as never before. There is an unstoppable selfless goodness about to 'envelope' Mother Earth!
All I can say to You Beautiful Here and Nowers is just keep Doin' what You're Doin' : ) : ) : )

What beautiful foliage up there ES. Thanks for a very uplifting short story. I agree with you very strongly. Where I work during the Summer, so many people who have made, and still make lots of money speak about wanting a life that revolves around community and people being there for one another. Living in castles is lonely and such a waste.

In the dream I mentioned (one of those 1000 page back references) I actually felt Carmody come and wake me up.

1:45 am ... (one of my nights off work) ... went back to sleep and lost most of the details but I don't do the writing down or recording dreams stuff.

Go back to the post and click on the "edit post" button.
That will open your post, and even though the picture won't be visible, it's code is between [IMG]*[IMG] marks, like that little star I placed there to indicate the spot. Then just erase what is written there and click on "save changes".
If not you can always ask Paul or Marianne to help you.

Shhhheezzz ... I let the muses out to play and see
what happens ??? This is exactly how they come
through for most people they have a habit of
encouraging people to reveal themselves.
Last time I played with them they had me
playing dress ups and taking pics of myself
It was very interesting as the resulting pics
very much expressed their energies it was
nothing like me . One particular muse I was
quite intimidated by she was the one that came
through me in the pics . On phone so can't post it
now .

I was just outside feeding Louis, I said good morning
to the birches and two ravens appeared and perched
In the old gum behind . That gum is flowering right
now and for the last week has been amass with
cheery grass parrots making quite a racket .
Just as I was greeting the Ravens a lone magpie came
and sat on the clothes line very close to me .
she was eyeing off Louis chicken breakfast . I
offererd a wing tip and she flew down and grabbed it
the look on Louis face was priceless lol .

The. Birches feel more sparkling today like they are
happy to be acknowledged, The two trees have different
energy also one feels more female and one more male .
I'm really enjoying Workig wth them it's quite an honor .

Here and Now...feeling more settled. Older daughter having a hard time emotionally, and so is my grandbeebee. He has been asking for me, so I will go see them this evening. It has only been 3 days...am not even thinking about what he will go through when we are a little further out. :/ Not real grounded today, thoughts not as fast as they could be but buzzing nonetheless. Emotions are there but in check.

I am wondering again today about the structure of the universe. I think I'm getting closer. Hope I take a couple of quick steps forward before the fog rolls in lol.

Yes That new interview is quite something we can
tie some of the things into our village life themes
quite nicely too . There seems to be no longer anything
that is not connected to everything else now as you
get with converging time lines. It's why we are learning
so fast too, things very much condensing into its
pure essence, much easier to get to the core of things.
Also you don't have to do anything to do anything,
that is the experiential is more etheric much less
solid but with he same results as if it were solid .

And yes everything we do is effecting everyone else
around us , our responsibility to make sure we are
impeccable just got ramped up 10 fold .

time line and who is flip flopping between the two .
Those focusing on stashing food and guns and those
focusing on being on the new earth building thier
new lives. Some in the middle hedging their bets doing
ok but most are totally confused about what or who
to listen to . It's those that are turning within that
are doing the best and have fully locked into time line 1 .
Everyone is going to be forced to make a choIce now
as the bottle neck gets tighter and tighter . Our greatest
gift to the world at this point is really focusing on self
care. Making sure our vibration is especially high.

PL, I had forgotten all about that, you appearing in the doorway of my bedroom one night.
Just don't let that happen again, at least not without an appointment. What is my husband going to think?

About Turrialba...since this is the year of awakening he got the message. Been smoking like this for a couple of years.
I took this picture in 2010, from near our home. As you can see he is far away.
Now a bit stronger than then and spitting grey ashes already.
Will try and get another picture one of these days. He has been hiding inside a cloud lately...the hot air that's coming out is creating condensation.

Astrid, you are so strong. You inspire me daily. I remember years ago, that feeling of needing to survive, and trying to get things together for whatever happened. Then I began to realize that at some point everything would run out, if things were really bad. That people would fight over things. Some people would get hurt. I realized I could not participate in that. Knowing that I would share what I had with whoever needed it, was a turning point, and it's the thinking people on Avalon who helped me get to that place.

This does open a comlex can of worms for me
that is part of my shadow, and also high time it was dealt
with. I have a very conflicted relationship my external mask,
Its a tough one to heal, but timing is right to do this.
Especially seeing I'm going to be much more in the public eye this year.

i will keep looking.

But this one is from when i was working in a building with photographers,
and they would often use me to test lighting, and shoot off extra film.

I'm sure i will delete this also, it was in my hat making days, i was around 22.

How did John Lash put it ?..."Be Despicably Good" something like that in an interview : )

Still haven't had a chance to catch up. FIVE whole pages while I was gone...not fair!!
I'm going to ask Paul to make the thread disappear while I'm out in future....
getting short circuits in my brain here trying to piece together all those fig leaves
and tales of people spooking one another in their boudoirs.
I also had a dream of a visit from Carmody, where he looked like Johnny Depp and we were watching youtubes together on the bed...all very proper, I might add, yet still good fun.
I'm in match maker mode at the moment...wanting to pair up all the Villagers for mutually ensured eternal happiness.

A few days later: You and your wife are both on a 9 birthpath. You are a 36/9 and she is a 27/9. 9 is a number of completion. It does have some hermit energy but your 3 is expressive and her 2 will seek partnership. Googleing the basic numbers could prove fruitful if the subject interests you.

Thank you. I did, and it resonates. As do my wife's numbers - it's her through and through. :)

Is this why people seem to be becoming more of who they are...their energies condensed and much stronger with each passing day?
I don't feel like I'm getting stronger at all. And I don't even know who I am 99% of the time. Ugh...why isn't this happening to me?

And, since I don't feel like I'm learning fast enough, or figuring out the puzzle, or finding who I am fast enough, this statement is scary as hell.

Just sharing here...Take from it what serves you, and discard the rest:
I have to admit that a lot of the time I have no clue what the h*ll people are talking about.
I quickly decide there and then if it's worthwhile to ask a more probing question, or just to let it flow right over my head.

Over the years the more I came to understand that the answers are NOT out there, but come from within me, the easier it was to just let the stuff others say pass by.
Then when by sheer synchronicity someone said something that sent off some inner bells I would pay extra attention, and even take a minute to reflect or contemplate what had been said. Sometimes a brief dialogue would ensue, but then I'd be alone again with my thoughts.
It is very important to develop a comfortable relationship with the self first.
Only then can one reach out to others, and not get stuck in an unhealthy co-dependency.
Another thing, I think it is important to note, especially those who are still new to the Village, that the here and now reality is for most of us the same: we are all pretty isolated individuals, sprinkled around a huge planet.
I know that PurpleLama and Playdo live near one another but the rest of us have never met any of the others.
We are all loners.
So it is important in order to build some inner security to get rid of the false imagination that everyone "out there" is united and only the self is alone and isolated. Just not true.
If you can keep this in mind you will have a better chance to feel more comfortable in your here and now.
Not only addressing 1inMany here, but at times all of us, including myself, need this reminder.

Hello Everyone,

I was browsing this link yesterday morning and I saw the picture of the bridge over the ocean. Yesterday, I saw a picture of a bridge over the ocean at an office building I happened upon .Today, I have seen two more pictures of bridges over the ocean. It is time to figure out what is drawing my attention to this picture. The third time always gets my attention.

This is great, and a good road sign.
Equally I was in a gallery today and high up on the wall among many other pictures was a painting of a forest of birches.
I was stunned...I never get to see birches any more since they don't exist in the tropics...and here for the third time today was a picture of birches.
I took from this that my father's spirit was guiding me to a little interdimensional meeting.
Hi Dad

Ethiopian girl reportedly guarded by lions

Authorities: Cats chased off men trying to force her to marry

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia — A 12-year-old girl who was abducted and beaten by men trying to force her into a marriage was found being guarded by three lions who apparently had chased off her captors, a policeman said Tuesday.

The girl, missing for a week, had been taken by seven men who wanted to force her to marry one of them, said Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo, speaking by telephone from the provincial capital of Bita Genet, about 350 miles southwest of Addis Ababa.

She was beaten repeatedly before she was found June 9 by police and relatives on the outskirts of Bita Genet, Wondimu said. She had been guarded by the lions for about half a day, he said.

“They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest,” Wondimu said.

“If the lions had not come to her rescue, then it could have been much worse. Often these young girls are raped and severely beaten to force them to accept the marriage,” he said.

'Some kind of miracle'
Tilahun Kassa, a local government official who corroborated Wondimu’s version of the events, said one of the men had wanted to marry the girl against her wishes.

“Everyone thinks this is some kind of miracle, because normally the lions would attack people,” Wondimu said.

Stuart Williams, a wildlife expert with the rural development ministry, said the girl may have survived because she was crying from the trauma of her attack.

“A young girl whimpering could be mistaken for the mewing sound from a lion cub, which in turn could explain why they didn’t eat her,” Williams said.

Ethiopia’s lions, famous for their large black manes, are the country’s national symbol and adorn statues and the local currency. Despite a recent crackdown, hunters kill the animals for their skins, which can fetch $1,000. Williams estimates that only 1,000 Ethiopian lions remain in the wild.

The girl, the youngest of four siblings, was “shocked and terrified” after her abduction and had to be treated for the cuts from her beatings, Wondimu said.

He said police had caught four of the abductors and three were still at large.

Kidnapping young girls has long been part of the marriage custom in Ethiopia. The United Nations estimates that more than 70 percent of marriages in Ethiopia are by abduction, practiced in rural areas where most of the country’s 71 million people live.

look..dudes....I have preminatory dreams about what my coming day will be like. they are allegorical as they have the shadow of ego cast onto them and it polarizes them likes some form of polarized glasses that human avatar based life is viewed through.

now, in my dream, which was the whole dang night by the way.....some guy was in my bed. (i went to sleep at 5am. local time is the same as Mod)

And I wake up to this.

:lalala:

Terrible, ain't it? :noidea:

You have my sympathies. I don't want anybody in my bed. Sleeping is important to me and snorting, snuffling and farting are not my idea of restful activities.

I hope he didn't do any of those things. :yuck:

I've no idea who it was, memory wise. As in a SNL skit, with Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra, Frank said to Dana Carvey (as George Micheal)..and George Micheal is swinging his butt at Frank telling him to look at it....Frank says 'I don't swing that way, baby'.

The thing about the spirit, though, if it is evolved ..it has dipped it's toes into the male and female form often. So much so...that it is not bothering with the whole orientation thing. Doesn't care. Last stage is not caring for the sexual aspects, either. However, it is difficult to incarnate in human form and not be affected by it.

I woke up going 'awwww geez!' Then I started laughing.

The other thing is that all (or some of) the flashes of the coming day can/may get mixed up together.

1 in Many , there is a moment when so much is shifting and changing that
you can't get a hold of things, yes it can be a confusing time, unsettling,
distressing even. The trick is to shift your perspective to embrace change,
and work on your grounding and emotional processing so that nothing
sticks to you for any great length of time.

What ever comes up in your awareness field, acknowledge it, welcome it,
thank it, feel it, sit with it, allow it to express, and it will move through you.
It can't hurt you , it's only constricted consciousness, needing to express.
Especially in these times, the shadow is asking, demanding even,
to be dealt with , healed and integrated. You don't have to know what it is,
why it is there, who put it there, you just have to be able to feel it, and allow it to express.
It's all it wants to do, is to be heard.

Normally the way most deal with this ( and i was one) , is to avoid,
suppress, deny, hide, distract, etc.. the opposite to processing it.
Which is the fastest way home. Whatever you are experiencing its part of your
evolution and growth at this time. I'm doing ok, and have more than enough to
share right now, as i have burnt through a few life times of junk fairly fast.
But in saying that i have a few rounds to deal with when i start to deal more
with the public again, which is coming up soon for me.
This is all shadow work, and all about integrating all your parts.

The other useful and important tip is to learn to be a witness,
an observer rather than be so embedded in the situation.
From that position is much easier to process things, its much less intense.

Know that you are so loved and so protected at all times, this massive growth
period we are at its not always comfortable, to say the least, but it has huge
rewards when you move through the process. The letting go of the "all giver" role
is a big one for women, it's your programming that is screaming at you, it all feels
wrong to challenge these things. The mind wants to keep the status quo, as the mind
does. What i do, and it works well.. is i thank the mind for its views.. and i get back
into the body and process it all out. And when the mind jumps back in, i repeat.
See if any of this works for you, and keep us updated.

You are very much in my thoughts,
Big hugs,
Astrid

The images on the news tonight showed the red hot furnace, like a giant steel plant.

blood cancer. MMS? I also heard tell of an anti clotting agent as of recent..that seems to remove the outer covering of the given cells..and this also removes the 'cover' for cancer cells. it seems to then be that the cancer cells are recognized by the body as their disguise is gone. And then the immune system clears it out very fast.

In keeping with the 'vibe' of the village I have been doing shadow work to see what I can see after all the recent physical dramas.
It very easy to see so much more to do. That said it is also in my face in a way that makes it impossible not to deal with it.
I feel very supported and reminded by crows at present... swooping in front of my car, aarrrking on my rooftop, waking me in the morning.
Crow sits on my left side when I sit in my fledgling shamanic space. So I'm overjoyed with their participation in my 3d life too.

I had a dream last night with Modwiz in it. We were sitting at a table of sorts made of smoked glass. I was holding something like a computer
mouse under the glass as was Modwiz and he was teaching me that at a certain angle/attitude our mice... mouses would meet and flashes of
light would be emitted. As I left Modwiz said to me that 'we still need to minister to 3D'... that part felt like different place on the timeline...

It's good validation when trying to identify your power animals,
often you will find omens leading the way.

Things being " in you face" as far as shadow work is a good thing, at
least you don't have to go deep sea diving to locate missing and hidden
aspects.

I'm currently doing some "diving for pearls" myself and it can be a tricky business.
Movies can really help with shadow work, you get to experience many
different situations that can trigger any issues you want to process out
of your field. I personally use film a fair bit for this reason,
with very powerful results.

I am an ordained minister(Interfaith). It allows me to perform weddings and they don't ordain wizards. Becoming a Wiccan would have allowed the same thing, but it would have been dishonest for me to become a Wiccan priest because I do not accept their dogma. Interfaith ministers have no dogma but serve Spirit by understanding the dogma of others. This allows a dialogue to form which can lead to taking them to a better relationship with Spirit. It is my observation that many people are confused and mad at the god concept owing to being emotionally more mature and socially adjusted than Yahweh of the OT. Being a better person than the god who supposedly runs the Universe is sure to create short circuiting in consciousness.

And then the immune system clears it out very fast.

1998. Makes you wonder where that one went.....

My doctor husband found this very interesting.
But he told me that Cimetidine used to be more easily accessible.
It has completely disappeared from the social ( free) health system of Costa Rica. It used to be prescribed for gastro intestinal problems like ulcers and gastritis, but was replaced by something "more efficient".
It also causes sexual dysfunction, and men in particular don't like it because of that.

Thank you SomaSmith and Viral Spiral for your help, and thanks for posting your songs, Modwiz. I enjoyed listening to them at work today.

As attempted earlier, here's my Hymn to Ninkasi, a few first take tracks on Garageband. Now, I realize that I wasn't blessed with a singing voice, but WTF, you got to entertain yourself somehow. Here's a link to another song called Road to Tabriz, and this is real low-fi, recorded a brief age ago on a cheap cassette-tape four track, and based on a book by Nicholas Bouvier called "The Way of the World". And I cannot speak French, for what its worth.

Mahalo.

Thank you for the feedback. I admire you work and songs and enjoyed the untechno feel of them.

I see you discovered the Kiwi site. I love it and it allows you to track the song usage. I can see that Marijuana was listened to 23 times and downloaded once. Cool.:thumb: 'MotherJoan' got 10 hits and 'Never Forget', 6, both with no downloads.

So, here is another one with Oedipus Next called. "Only Pain". It is a song Darren ( Lead singer/guitar player) wrote about his dog who had just died. He thnks God hates him because He allowed his dog to die. Darren had a punk's soul in the body of a rich spoiled brat. He was a prolific songwriter and gifted musician. He played classical piano and was completely versed in music theory. Somethin he went out of his way to hide. LOL He references the dog near the end of the song. He name is Chelsea.

All of the Oedipus Next songs were recorded live in Woodstock, NY. At the now closed, Tinker Street Cafe. I am the bass player.

Warning: Darren really goes for some graphic verbal imagery in this song. He was impressive in his efforts..........to be shocking.

This is for all the tree talk:

LIFELINE

A lofty oak stands in the forest
Its mighty limbs fanned skyward
Tracking the sun with its leaves
Its roots sink deep into the earth
Cracking rock
Twining with the other trees
The roots form a dense weave
That interlocks tightly to form a unit
Securely holding spongy decaying humus
Which traps water efficiently
Denizens of the forest each
Find a home, a special niche
Many birds of various colors
Insects, snakes and summer flowers,
Squirrels, skunks, rabbit and dear,
Raspberry, blueberry, honey and bear
Each upon the other rely
They co-exist, they do not vie
The same is true of every environment
Whether marsh or dessert, all are a monument
To the opposite of survival of the fittest
All species co-operate
By their very nature
Or else the ecological system
Of which they are a part
Would not have come into being
So it is with the world-wide ecosystem
Tried and true, balanced but versatile
All rely on the other
They heed the earth mother
Third planet of nine, Sol at the heart
Little blue planet on which life did start
All stars are seeded like thee
Life forms a lattice through the galaxy
The galaxies themselves nest
Like the root mass of a forest.

Hang in there Meeradas, buddy. Thinking of you.

Modwiz - quite the burlesque show.

I have had only one person I looked up to, at ACIM group leader. One day, at a weekend workshop, when we were out at break having a smoke I told him it was hard to look up to him because he smokes, which is a bad example to set. He said something like, and who would be ministering to you when you need it most, if I did not smoke. It was true, I got very personal treatment because only he and I smoked. He smoked a pipe. Each day a different one. That and his wooden shoes - he is Dutch. I miss him, he went back to Holland just a few months ago.
So this made me think who would minister to my group of friends if I stop smoking herb? That's my job, and I take it seriously.
Because if I do quit, I will not hang out with them. Or is that an excuse? Will have to dwell on that one.

Carmody, I used to devour books on the future as well. Bradbury, Asimov, Clarke and a hundred others. I look around my bookshelves now and all I see is God, God, God and reference books - no science fiction...

Work is coming in.

eaglespirit, how do you know I am there already, wherever that is? I know you are sincere, and I know you believe, but I don't see how it's possible. Those here who have "arrived" are so... sure. I'm anything but. Wouldn't I know? Wouldn't I be as sure as you are? And, damn, why am I not sure? The fog has lifted for lots of people...villagers would be case in point. It makes me question everything because those who see or know clearly....well, they know it. I understand the cloud, but why isn't the cloud making things foggy for everybody? How do I clear it?

This stuff is planetary. Hard to explain, just trust me on this.
The certainty comes in waves. In a couple of weeks it will be you
who is the strong one while some of the others have sunk back in confusion.
No one gets to be there in a permanent way...
not in this life...
which is why it is so important to form groups like this...
so that when anyone of us becomes weak, immediately there are others to prop us up, and vice versa.

We each have our own path to walk, our own journey to take. Here and now provides a haven to share energies and speak of our individual travels. No two paths are the same, but we help each other through the sharing of our journeys. When one learns a lesson, we all learn...in our own space and time.

My own journey has been one of being open and accepting of all that has presented itself in my life...a kind of 'it is what it is' path walked alone. Never needed words, just experienced an ever expanding inner life that affects everything around me.

I believe I was led to Here and Now for communication purposes....to learn the language, so to speak. For example, there's been a lot of talk about shadow work. Shadow work? Ahhh, so that's what it's called....all those things that I have said or done in my life that I'm not proud of and uncomfortable with that keep popping up reminding me that I am far from the good person I would like to think I am, and the process of integrating/releasing such things so I can move on. Hmmmm, shadow work...I've done that...and am still working on it.

Still require a lot of time alone, but breaking the language barrier is allowing me to share in the give and take of community. The ability to share is vital Here and Now....when I fall or need help on my path, someone is there; and when others fall on their path, hopefully I can help them. With so much speeding up, we need community more than ever, imo.

Quoting the refrain from a song by Liam Lawton, “The Clouds' Veil”...

Even though the rain hides the stars,
even though the mist swirls the hills,
even when the dark clouds veil the sky,
God is by my side.

Even when the sun shall fall in sleep,
even when at dawn the sky shall weep,
even in the night when storms shall rise,
God is by my side.

Whether you believe in God or Creator or Great Spirit or Oneness...no matter what, we are not alone however thick the fog or blinding the rain.

Trust that you are where you need to be at this moment, learning what you need to learn. At some point the sun will shine to illuminate the path...but it is alone in the darkness of night that some of the most important lessons are learned.

One of my favorite poems:

The Road Not Taken
By Robert Frost 1874–1963

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

As I left Modwiz said to me that 'we still need to minister to 3D'... that part felt like different place on the timeline...
priestly rather than wizardly. Wish I could remember more.

Thanks as usual to all here at the village, the artful ebb and flow, peaks and troughs of energy here are a joy to surf upon.
The learning and laughter... I ask you.. is there anything this place can't do!!! :)

Should I ever get married again you will be the one to marry us...
whoever my next Prince Charming may be.
Number 1 & 2 weddings were both performed by the registrar of the Kensington Registry Office in London, and the current marriage was a simple Baha'i ceremony, conducted by the Secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha's of Barbados, with two witnesses present, my cleaning lady, and my husband's former secretary. Also my son was present. Prayers were read.
It lasted from 8 am until 9 am, after which everyone went to work and I drove into town to buy a double bed.
Which they forgot to deliver, so the wedding night didn't quite turn out as planned.

I've been ignoring the promptings of spirit to mention the Seven Valleys of Baha'u'llah, but finally decided to quote a bit from them, as it now seems timely.
First of all an overview, as found on a Wikipedia page:

The Valley of Search
...described as the first step that a seeker must take in his path. Bahá'u'lláh states that the seeker must cleanse his heart, and not follow the paths of his forefathers. It is explained that ardour, and patience are required to traverse this valley.

The Valley of Love
in this valley the seeker is compared to a moth who has found a flame. Bahá'u'lláh writes that the heart of the seeker is touched, and the seeker has fallen in love with God.

The Valley of Knowledge
The knowledge referred to in this valley is the knowledge of God, and not one based on learning; it is explained that pride in one's knowledge and accomplishments often disallows one to reach true understanding, which is the knowledge of God.
It is explained that the seeker, when in this valley, begins to understand the mysteries contained within God's revelation, and finds wisdom in all things including when faced with pain and hardship, which he understands to be God's mercy and blessing. This valley is called the last limited valley.

The Valley of Unity
The next stage is the valley of unity, and it is explained that the seeker now sees creation not by its limitations, but sees the attributes of God in all created things. The seeker, it is written, is detached from earthly things, is not concerned with his own self and has no ego; instead he praises God for all of creation.

The Valley of Contentment
The next valley for the seeker is the valley of contentment, where it is explained, that the seeker becomes independent from all things, and even though he may look poor or is subjected to suffering, he will be endowed with wealth and power from the spiritual worlds and will inwardly be happy. Happiness is explained to be the attribute of the true believer, and it cannot be achieved by obtaining material things, since material things are transitory.

The Valley of Wonderment
In the valley of wonderment the seeker, it is written, is struck dumb by the beauty of God; the seeker becomes conscious of the vastness and glory of creation, and discovers the inner mysteries of God's revelation. Being led from one mystery of creation to the next, it is explained that the seeker continues to be astonished by the works of God.

The Valley of True Poverty and Absolute Nothingness
...is the furthermost state that the mystic can reach. The seeker, it is explained is poor of all material things, and is rich in spiritual attributes. It is explained that it is the state of annihilation of self in God, but not an existential union: the essences of God's self and the mystic's self remain distinct, in contrast to what appears to be a complete union in other traditions.

This thread moves fast, blink of an eye and I am several pages behind. Lost power yesterday, on this morning, don't know for how long. Training for the possibilities... Amazing how you miss the little things so quickly. The water being on a well system (note to self, fill tub to flush toilet), coffee grinder (Arrrgh) note to self, grind some up for later. Grateful to have the experience, makes me more aware. Uh Oh, lights flickering! Glad I was able to have a hot bath and hot cup of coffee this morning. I am ready for the day! Hope all the villagers have a wonderful day!! Caw, Caw (crow talk for peace and love)!
Looks like a good and entertaining movie.
The only thing is that a movie about synchronicities can never work.
What makes a good synchronicity is the fact that it happened in REAL life where there are no screen writers creating those scenarios.

The other (real) synchronicity is about the story of the diver who was picked out
of the lake by the water bucket the fire fighting plane was carrying.

I read that story over ten years ago on a forum.
It started like this: after a large forest fire a charred body was found amongst the still smouldering tree trunks.
What was unusual was that he had on a diver suit, diving mask and flippers. The ocean was ten miles away.
So the police figured that the only way he could have ended up there was by being lifted out of the ocean while snorkeling.... by one of the fire-fighting plane's large water buckets.

There was quite a discussion about this story on that forum at the time. Someone said it had happened for real and another person said it was made up by someone with a rich fantasy life.
Ten years later we find the same story in the movie Magnolia.

So now we know where screen writers get their stories:
They read threads like this one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ha, ha... and that same story i saw in an CSI VEGAS episode.

I'm sorry to disagree that a movie about synchronicities won't work. I understand what you mean. If you're deep in the movie, the synchronies are feel like almost in real life.
The master synchronicities now is Julio Medem. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0133363/
First, Magnolia is not a movie about synchronicities.

Here it is "Los Amantes del Círculo Polar"-teaser-. Julio Medem works very well with synchronicities.
I couldn't find in english but doesn't matter.
Watch the images and listen to the music (Alberto Iglesias), there are enough powerful to transmit the energy of the film.

...so now I'm coming to what I've been meaning to share for some time.
There is a traditional Persian love story, from the 7th century,....that of Majnun and Layla. Famous story, like Romeo and Juliette is famous in the Anglo world.
Here is Baha'u'llahs version of it, with a more mystical explanation:
from the Valley of Knowledge (mentioned further up this thread.)

There was once a lover who had sighed for long years in separation from his beloved, and wasted in the fire of remoteness.
From the rule of love, his heart was empty of patience, and his body weary of his spirit; he reckoned life without her as a mockery, and time consumed him away. How many a day he found no rest in longing for her; how many a night the pain of her kept him from sleep; his body was worn to a sigh, his heart’s wound had turned him to a cry of sorrow.
He had given a thousand lives for one taste of the cup of her presence, but it availed him not.
The doctors knew no cure for him, and companions avoided his company; yea, physicians have no medicine for one sick of love,
unless the favor of the beloved one deliver him.
At last, the tree of his longing yielded the fruit of despair, and the fire of his hope fell to ashes.
Then one night he could live no more, and he went out of his house and made for the marketplace.
On a sudden, a watchman followed after him. He broke into a run, with the watchman following; then other watchmen came together, and barred every passage to the weary one.
And the wretched one cried from his heart, and ran here and there, and moaned to himself: “Surely this watchman is Izrá’íl, my angel of death, following so fast upon me; or he is a tyrant of men, seeking to harm me.”
His feet carried him on, the one bleeding with the arrow of love, and his heart lamented.
Then he came to a garden wall, and with untold pain he scaled it, for it proved very high; and forgetting his life, he threw himself down to the garden.

And there he beheld his beloved with a lamp in her hand, searching for a ring she had lost.
When the heart-surrendered lover looked on his ravishing love, he drew a great breath and raised up his hands in prayer, crying:
“O God! Give Thou glory to the watchman, and riches and long life.
For the watchman was Gabriel, guiding this poor one; or he was Isráfíl, bringing life to this wretched one!”

Indeed, his words were true, for he had found many a secret justice in this seeming tyranny of the watchman,
and seen how many a mercy lay hid behind the veil.
Out of wrath, the guard had led him who was athirst in love’s desert to the sea of his loved one,
and lit up the dark night of absence with the light of reunion.
He had driven one who was afar, into the garden of nearness, had guided an ailing soul to the heart’s physician.

Now if the lover could have looked ahead, he would have blessed the watchman at the start, and prayed on his behalf,
and he would have seen that tyranny as justice; but since the end was veiled to him,
he moaned and made his plaint in the beginning.
Yet those who journey in the garden land of knowledge, because they see the end in the beginning,
see peace in war and friendliness in anger.

Belle loved your last post it rang true.
Especially the language part, that's for sure one of the
functions here for me too . Being alone for so long and
over many life times too one can get a little rusty in social
interaction and communication . What I'm finding is that
I have to constantly keep at it . I think confidence plays
a big part too. Having a venue where I can learn and
grow in a grpup is something I have been looking for in
3D for eons.

It's funny too how you can take for granted and dismiss
how far you have come and what you have learnt until
you start to help others and put the etheric into words
where they then become more soild reality .
It really helps to build more strength i"m finding .
The online group I just started working with is also
great psychotherapy as everything is recorded and you
get to sit in witness to your own verbal interactions
for me this is tough going as I can be really over self
critical and too much of a perfectionist. This is my current
struggle . Navigating through the social parts
is a greater learning than the actual course I'm
signed up for . For me things can work in reverse to
most people, it's the small things that throw me, the
big things i can manage and thrive at. It's odd .

Ummmmm...You do it by pm Calz....and give the Spanish Dan a BIG benefit of the doubt and Spanish-English cross translations...sometimes crossing a language bridge we can run into unknowing detonation of cross culture explosives : ) : ) : )

That is ulli's responsibiliy ... no stepping on toes in the village allowed ...

... except for ...

Perhaps I could offer our great friend Dan from Spain a subliminal message regarding dealing with :cow:

It's odd .

Thanks, Astrid.

When I first joined Avalon and began posting, I discovered that I was 'nobody'. I would post and get no feedback except for a few thank you's. I mean, come on, with a nic like Belle...how mundane and non-threatening is that!

What a wonderful thing to be this 'nobody'. I could practice 'speaking' what I thought without conflict or having to defend myself...no one took me seriously. Through it I learned a lot about myself...who I was, what I was looking for from this experience, and how to function in a group. It gave me time to find my own voice and taught me I could stand in my own space in comfort without needing approval from others. I could see two main areas of focus and had time to find out which resonnated more...the one that focused on all the **** that was going on in the world on the outside, or the one that focused on the spiritual... inside of one's self. All the while I was practising participation in my own way in safe anonimity.

Then I found Here and Now. Oh how it resonnated! It's taken a while to settle into the Village and feel I actually have something to contribute to the community.

Hopefully, through this experience, I'll stop being so uncomfortable in social situations irl. We'll see.

Participating in the village has also helped me to function in a group as well. I was such a shy poster before, really quiet and unsure of myself. I gained alot of confidence here and still growing. Thanks everyone (again!).

Glad you like my new avatar Calz. Isnt she lovely? Her name is Death, a character from the Sandman comic series by Neil Gaiman one of my favourite authors. It took long enough to figure it out. Soon Il beef my profile properly guys, I promise x

Need to consult with my 10 year old on scanning pictures to digitize them () but have *zero* days off for another week.

Wifee really doesn't like that (until payday).

Oh crap ... Sandman ... I hear yet another song coming up ...

Just noticed the stats for the Here and Now thread...can't believe my eyes.
We passed 150,000 views today.
It's growing beyond my wildest dreams.
Where is this heading?

I love it that more people are participating yet am also a bit worried
about losing the continuity of the conversations due to too many posts.

If this Village keeps growing any faster it will lose it's Village character,
and suddenly we have city lights, and a work hard- play hard atmosphere.

Should I change myself and open up to such a possibility becoming reality?
Inviting opinions.

Here and now out for a lunchtime walk. Bag of sunflower seeds in my pocket, ho-oponopono in my head/heart. Ulli, there are buttermilk clouds in a beautiful blue sky. Saw a black cat & thought of PL.
Love to the village,
Marianne

Lot's of divergent views and attitudes exist here and show up in the weirdest of ways. I found this Victor Borge piece and could not help but think this is a metaphor for how some threads go, I hope you enjoy and laugh as much as I did:

Up at the Ranch just hit 100,000 views with only 50 pages (as opposed to 300+ here).

sorry to interupt ... fun factoid time ...

Truth be told ... now with another forum available that is "worthy" it is getting ***really*** hard to find interest in posting in any other than those two threads.
