Hello everyone,

This is the first time I visited this thread. It reminds me of the great spirit here at PA prior to some past "stuff" this year AND enough said on that! Carry on with enjoying life friends. It lifts my spirits to see the fun here again. BTW, I only read a couple recent days here and there in this thread so; I hope I am not stepping on or in anything? But, it looks like plain old fun to me.

Which post, which post?
I sense a plot
Of someone wicked.
The trail's still hot.

Maybe a ghost
of days gone by
a soul so lost
can't even fly

But here's a chance
with decent manner
to be redeemed.
And win a scanner.

Is it time for Flasky's b-day party yet? Dunno if I can be here when it happens, but pour a glass of jamaican rum and spill a bit for me, please, when it really jumps off! Many, many happy returns. The boy had a date with the doctor today and met his tribal obligations down in the sensitive region. ~sighs~ He took it like a man. Is it barbaric? I don't know ... but it is said that it is good, healthwise. A cool, rainy day here, the energy feels prescient, as if the world is waiting, on the cusp. Beauty lies in each breath ...

Hi,

Beautiful day here today and no helicopters flying over head -grateful to have a bit of a reprieve from them. I got to help a friend of mine make a drum and some rattles; I've never done anything like that before and it was kind of fun. Played in the garden today pulling weeds and trimming the plants back a bit. Good to be with the earth.

Have a good evening

Hi Nora,
I played in the garden today too - falling colorful leaves and crisp Autumn air.. heavenly! Mother Nature has been busy painting our trees - reds, yellows and oranges! I feel so alive these past few weeks :)
and in early mornings Jack has paid us a few visits (Jack Frost) and left his icy signature here and there.

Well ... desert for most cows is a field full of clover, and maybe, for the adventurous, a few small low hanging apples from the apple tree (which tend to ferment in their stomachs, making for a slightly inebriated cow :loco::cow::loco: .)

(But when my herd-mates aren't looking, I've been known to sneak a bite of cake .)

Well, Junebug, you are a great party organizer.
I must hand it to you.
Everyone is on the floor, dancing.
My husband is opening a bottle of wine.
He tried to convince me that the fireworks of Valencia, Spain, during the Fallas festival
are the best, but then he admitted that the Chinese are the best.
After all, they invented them.

And here is a fireworks wallpaper.

Woops... too late for the party :(. I popped in this morning when all the rhymes were happening so now, undeterred, a herd of absurd words has occurred!

Seems it's rhyming time in our little village
So off to the dictionary some words for to pillage
In a fertile mind there then will be tillage
And some bits that are grown just for spatial fillage

What's the occasion I hear folks asky
The reason why I attempt this tasky
To make a verse that's so kick assky
It's because it's the birthday of our much loved flasky

Having had such a sick world dumped on your generation it's a wonder
you are still giving us the time of day.

Heeeeeeeeeey, a crazy ol' bat has gotta live where she's gotta live! Besides I have hot + cold flushes, I mean showers. Not everyone has THAT luxury.

I once drank from the fountain of youth in Sani Pass in South Africa, so am guaranteed to enjoy blowing out 250 candles one day.

Hi all, Though sleeping very restlessly, I had the most delightful dream last night. There is a small but very picturesque beach near me (it is the MOST easterly point on the Aussie continent) with very opulent houses on the hill above. I was living in an almost resort like community with pinkish colored sante fe style buildings, fountains and beautiful gardens with the most bright and vibrant people. It was an obvious 'village' dream. So thank you all for touching my life to a depth that reaches even into my dreamscape.

Discordianism is a religion you can really sink your teeth into.

THE FIVE COMMANDMENTS (THE PENTABARF)

The PENTABARF was discovered by the hermit Apostle Zarathud in the Fifth Year of The Caterpillar. He found them carved in gilded stone, while building a sun deck for his cave, but their import was lost for they were written in a mysterious cypher. However, after 10 weeks & 11 hours of intensive scrutiny he discerned that the message could be read by standing on his head and viewing it upside down.

KNOW YE THIS O MAN OF FAITH!

I - There is no Goddess but Goddess and She is Your Goddess. There is no Erisian Movement but The Erisian Movement and it is The Erisian Movement. And every Golden Apple Corps is the beloved home of a Golden Worm.

II - A Discordian Shall Always use the Official Discordian Document Numbering System.

III - A Discordian is Required during his early Illumination to Go Off Alone & Partake Joyously of a Hot Dog on a Friday; this Devotive Ceremony to Remonstrate against the popular Paganisms of the Day: of Catholic Christendom (no meat on Friday), of Judaism (no meat of Pork), of Hindic Peoples (no meat of Beef), of Buddhists (no meat of animal), and of Discordians (no Hot Dog Buns).

IV - A Discordian shall Partake of No Hot Dog Buns, for Such was the Solace of Our Goddess when She was Confronted with The Original Snub.

V - A Discordian is Prohibited of Believing what he reads.

IT IS SO WRITTEN! SO BE IT. HAIL DISCORDIA! PROSECUTORS WILL BE TRANSGRESSICUTED.

Hail Eris. All hail Discordia. Fnord?

And what of the women of faith?

Are they forever fated to consume said bun of dog in ignorance of The Erisian Movement.

Shall they not know of the Golden Worm?

Woe to thee oh Discordian women who hath the Pentabarf concealed from thine eyes.

Those for whom the path is steep and know not of the wisdom which eminates forth due to the loving counsel of the Apostle Zarathud.

Those that shall not partake of the Solace of The Goddess.

Wait on............

............................just read verse V.

So what your telling me now Playdo, is that I must not believe what you have written.

Should have known something was up, as any scholar of the true Pentabarf knows that the aforementioned hermit, the Apostle Zarathud, discovered the Pentabarf in the sixth year of the Caterpillar, not the fifth. :p

And you thought you had me fooled!

Hmmmm...and I had just converted to Discordianism yesterday. I felt myself addressed even though I am a woman, and promptly converted.
Most of the older scriptures address only men, assuming that women don't even know to read or write.
So us modern educated women got used to the "men only" rule and learned to ignore it. Ignoring the rules has become the rule.
Which is also why discordianism is so appealing.
Thank you PurpleLama for guiding me to the true path.
After all, five commandments is a step in the right direction, as it cuts the earlier number in half.

The village church is being built as we speak.

Ok. Beautiful night in the tent. 53 F. outside and 78 F. inside. A few hardy night insects are still singing in spite of the cooler temperatures and I send them thoughts of thanks. Their serenades through the Summer nights have been an unending source of delight and enchantment.

15 more days in the tent then it is back to the mountain farmhouse and the wife. The look in her eye lets me know she will make me very happy to be back home for the next 6 months.

How I found the Goddess,
And what I did to her when I found her.

also:

100% Discordian CATMA

It is a religion of balance, the hodge podge of order and disorder, balancing especially reverence with irreverence.

Here is my impromptu Discordian blessing for the newly built village church:

So Let It Be Written

I agree. I read the trilogy when I was a wee lad of 23. There was no art bell back then. Atleast not that I was aware of. And it made perfect sense in so many ways.
And I have to give Robert Anton Wilson props on so many things.
How he came up with the idea to use survivors of Atlantis as the top of the Illuminati pyramid. Just really good stuff.

Lyrics
(Lionel Richie)

I may be just a foolish dreamer
But I don't care
'Cause I know my happiness is waiting out there somewhere
I'm searching for that silver lining
Horizons that I've never seen
Oh I'd like to take just a moment and dream my dream
Dream my dream

Zoom

I'd like to fly far away from here
Where my mind is fresh and clear
And I'd find the love that I long to see
Where everybody can be what they wanna be
I'd like the greet the sun each morning
And walk amongst the stars at night
I'd like to know the taste of honey in my life
Well I've shared so many pains
And I've played so many games
But everyone finds the right way

Somehow
Somewhere
Someday

Zoom

I'd like to fly far away from here
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'll find the love that I long to see
People can be what they wanna be
I wish the world were truly happy
Living as one
I wish the word they call freedom someday would come
Someday would come

Zoom

I'd like to fly far away from here
Where my mind can be fresh and clear
And I'd find the love that I long to see
Everybody can be what they wanna be

Zoom

I'd like to fly away

Zoom

I'd like to fly away

Zoom

I'd like to fly away
You and me, baby
Walking free

Don't you wanna go?
Don't you wanna go?

Less than a week from now I will have pitched my tent far away, in Barbados,

Here and now, sitting on my back deck (south facing) with a pale blue sky overhead. Trees are beginning to change color, even the yellow maple outside my kitchen window... it's the last to lose its leaves in winter, my friend to the end. It's brilliant yellow... maybe I'll get a picture of it this year. The air is so still, so quiet, just the drone of a plane way way off, muffled. Occasional car tire noise on the road, way off too. Now a breeze rustling the tree tops. The sun is warm, the mood is mellow. Life is good.

Hi Lotusblossom! So happy to see your beautiful post. :)

The breeze just blew by, billowing a HUGE spiderweb from its hiding spot, perfectly lined up at the corner of the eave and the corner post. It's gorgeous. But I don't know whether to be appalled at my housekeeping, or thrilled that Grandmother Spider left me such a gift. Oh all right I'm thrilled!!

I know the song well. it appeared right after we decided to leave big city life behind. It became a hit while we were preparing for our move from London to Barbados in late 1981.
The universe sends confirmations like that. That song wasn't the only one. Ten years later the president of Costa Rica won the Nobel Peace Prize just as I was packing to move there...placing Costa Rica firmly on the map.

So I'm not kidding when I go on and on about "where the focus goes, energy flows".
All it takes is a bit of courage. Then the universe currents do the rest.

USA the east coast 60 miles west of Philadelphia PA. I live in Amish country if you know who they are. If not you could probably google them. They live like they are in the 1800s. I buy a lot of produce and eggs from them.

I've been to Las Vegas it's just to much "glitter" for me and I do not really gamble. There are a lot of good restaurants though!

So, there is a real song about Batbados! Nice! Las Vegas just jumped into my mind and I found it funny. Enjoy your evening all... Unfortunately, I gotta run for now. Keep smiling!

....Just enjoying reading everyone's conversations on here. I feel like I am safe with family it so nice to hang around this thread!

Village indeed...I can see my little hut and I think I like it. Its magical you see, because I am assuming we are experiencing tropical weather in the village....and my hut magically takes away all the humidity and heat and its cool and dry inside without the need of AC A.K.A electricity...Nope, all natural -- but that is a requirement or I wouldn't be very comfortable...haha! (What the heck Fla just went off in a rant...?) ^^'

...Sunshine today in Sydney! At noon I have a family lunch to celebrate my brother and I (and my cousin who was born on the 15th, aww..She so cute, she turned 6!) How funny is that people? My brother and are 6 years AND 2 days apart...and my "baby" cousin turned 6 and she is born the day after me but 16 years later....6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6...this number in my life always pops out!

More examples? Let the random rant go on then....

My parents married after 6 years
My parents had me and my brother 6 years apart
Moved to Africa when I was 6
Lived in Africa for 6 years
My dog had 6 puppies (back in Africa so long ago now)
I was 16 years old when my family and I arrived in Australia
Arrived in Australia on the verge of 2006
My mother died on the 6 year of living in Australia

Erm...I am sure if I dig under I'll find more but that's all I can figure out on top of my head. Lol sorry guys if I went spazzo, very normal I assure!

Love you all :grouphug:

I need to bet on this number or what?

We had our 2nd anti-fracking rally in the town near where I live today and it was well attended.... about 2000 people, which is pretty good for a small town of about 20,000. What was quite interesting to me was that this rally attracted quite a lot of really quite 'mainstream' people, and farmers, not just hippies and alternative folks, which we have a lot of here. It was quite encouraging to see the word spreading and the desire to act by such a broad crossection. We assembled, marched through town and threw the weekend tourist traffic to our fair town into chaos :). Then in the main street there was a flash mob of sorts where everyone marching drank water (symbollicly 'fracked' water) and fell down dead in a sort of reverse mexican wave, laid around for a minute and then mexican waved back onto our feet then marched on to the beach park and had speakers, info on the current situation, music and reverie... was a fun, hot, sunny day.

I never mentioned that our land is baked every morning in brilliant golden greenish light, and the entire eastern slope, measuring over 150 m in length, is covered in wild bamboo.
So lets take this one step further: I will buy the blue overalls and everyone can come down here in 2012 and help build the village.
Junebug is in charge of cakes and tea.
Heyoka will be stationed far away, collecting people from the airport. Fred S. is construction foreman.
PurpleLama and LotusBlossom run the church. I'm treasurer during the day and DJ by night.

The other posts are going to be filled by volunteers. Come on, everyone, let's get this show on the road!

Getting Enticing Ulli,
I think the visitors of this thread are erupting in qualifications to fill the needs of the creation of the dream village : )

So thank you all for touching my life to a depth that reaches even into my dreamscape.

ok, this is wild. I too dreamed of the village, I remember huts made of bamboo and more bamboo growing wild, I remember the brilliant golden greenish light and I recall *you* were there wearing blue coveralls.

Not so quick! Some mishaps lead to solutions better than all the thinking in the world.
Someone offered to buy all the cows, and now we will be a milk-free village.
Less flies and more room for construction.

My brother came to visit me this morning, first time he's been out and about since his surgery. His spiritual path is becoming more focused, he is pondering more and talking to me about it. I like very much.

Listening to Sting 'Fields of Gold' and feeling mellow in my small corner of the world.

Ulli, I'm ready to move to Costa Rica. I will need to sew up kitchen aprons and serving aprons for our tea room.

Love to all,

Gasp! You see!!! Wow, wow!

I need to bet on this number or what?

Hi Fla,

I just pulled this off a numerology site for you:

"Number 6 is the most loving of all numbers"

So I guess you could say that Love is worth betting on! :)

I take care of sore muscles for a living. It's my dharma actually. If I was part of a village taking care of as many bodies as was healthy for me would be what I would do. I work with herbs and energy modalities as well. Gem elixirs and flower essences are also amazingly effective and a tropical sun would make it possible to have a year round ability to always produce them. (They are prepared with water and the Sun)

Oh, oh I must join in this fun...

...I want to run my own beauty relaxing and spiritual center. Here you can come soak in healthy minerals mud baths, swim in the natural thermal rock spas, choose to have a nurturing treatment for your skin such as facials, masks, peels --- all possible thanks to the ORGANIC TROPICAL FRUITS around and (getting really into it atm) and with my 'mad genius' I will create all sorts of fresh healthy products for beauty and relaxing purposes with fruits and earth minerals.

NO NEED FOR YUCKY CHEMICALS! OR ANIMAL TESTING!

....Or if you would like a massage, come on in! But requirements are you must use one of our cleansing rock spas before commencing....

....OR YET! There is a peaceful garden where you may enjoy some meditating, while a gentle creek follows the hilly, soft and round, surface of the garden...

Yes...yes....That would be my contribution to the village! :P More than happy to have people working with me because I am getting the feeling my hands are going to get a bit tired...!

And my favorite music album is called Avalon (Roxy Music) and when I met Bryan Ferry who wrote most of the songs and asked him 'when will you make another album like Avalon' he replied, 'you tell me...you are the astrologer'.
So my answer should have been "ok, if you don't want to write another Avalon, then I will." and here I am.

It is 10:15 AM and I will be going to lunch, in our dining hall, at 11:15. I have never been to a breakfast here. That is served at 7:00 AM and, as a creature of the night, am usually sleeping very peacefully at that hour. My dharma day begins at 12:15 when my first appointment is open. I give the Wellness Center 8 hours a day five days a week. They rarely are able to give me 8 appointments in a day. Sometimes on a Saturday they will. I am happy with this flow. A full day everyday would cripple me and put me on the disabled list. Slow and steady allows me to go for the long haul. That being towards the days when my last breaths are nearing.

It is a sunny day but cool, still in the fifties and staying around sixty for the midday. The birds outside my tent sing their varied calls and speak to my soul. Every cell of my being smiles from these sounds. The night insects fade in the colder nights and they will soon cease and not be heard again until next summer. I am glad I made a 2 hour recording one night to be able to call forth their choruses when the need arises.

One day, I will find my way closer to the Equator and stay there. Although, Gaia may move that line at some point. We will all surely know if she does.

On with my day.

Unless, of course, someone upsets her with a hot iron poker...as in underground nuclear tests.
And even then, she gives fair warning.

First night she was there I awoke in the morning to find her wrestling a rat nearly as big as her! She used to come for a pat and I never knew if she was going to be all smoochy or just bite me :). She had my 2 big dogs wired. I always loved her very spirited ways. One day about a year later, she just moved on.

That is the Orosi Valley, or in Spanish Valle de Orosi.
Orosi means Gold.yes
The rivers here have pyrite in them which had early settlers believe they had finally found gold.
The valley is at 1100 m altitude, and the mountains around us go as high as 1800 m. With each 100 m the temperature drops another degree Celsius, so at nights it is quite cool, especially during the coming 5 months. A cold spell in Texas can be felt all the way to Central America.
But it never drops lower than 12 degrees, although none of the homes have central heating and for me that can be too cold. When I first moved here from Barbados I suffered more from being chilly than at any other time in my life.

Time to pick jobs is it? …O.K.
We are on the coast right? I’ll run the marina and any pleasure boating aspects for our village. Sport fishing is encouraged and I’ll do my best to put you on the fish or a stunning vantage of the coastlines charms as seen from the sea. If we choose we’ll play those shiny multi-hued warriors and then salute them as they swim off feeling privileged to have shared a brief connection with their instinct and spirit. We can then head back in for some Rum concoction and tell stories of our time tied to the biggest fish ever (at least for that day!)… Or show pictures of the stunning Island coastline.

So......
In the now and here, the Amish have mostly brought down all their fields. All but their buggy horses are off major duty till the spring. Canadian geese are filling my warm spring feed pond out back for their winter vacation. It is pretty much a giant Jacuzzi pond for them. The spring feed keeps it mostly ice free for all but a string of the coldest zero degree nights. An unusual number of Albino Canadian Geese have shown up for the season this year. They will soon number about 2000 and even now I can hear them clamor as they do all night. If the winter is as cold as forecasted perhaps the snow geese will come in February for a visit on their trek back north as well. Oh, what a symphony 3000 Geese can make in two variety harmony. If the cold prevails as such, the Amish may bring out a carriage sled or two for a go on the streets. I love to watch the horses run in the snow with great puffs of steam around their eager heads as they go. Well, the trees have only just turned yellow, red and orange this week and the first snowflakes are waiting for their time to fly.

And I’m off to my slippers, some tea and then shortly to bed.

Sweet dreams Village of Avalon… I’ll be fishing just off our coast tonight…

Peace,

Morning everyone! Ive had a ghastly couple of days of high anxiety for no reason - heart/mind racing, totally ungrounded, no rhyme or reason for it just get it sometimes and I think is probably enhanced with the energies. Just-couldnt-post! Could barely hit the thanks button but kept popping in to see how you all are.

Junebug Ive always wanted to go to New Orleans thanks for the vid. Hope your sleeping well now.
Laughs-last, theres nothing like a new look for a new start.
Reverie its so true you do conjure up an evocative picture of where you are. Sounds lovely. Everyone have a great day x

Peace,
-R-

We are in the mountains, next to a roaring river, in the middle of the continent.
The Atlantic Ocean is about 3 hours drive away and the Pacific Ocean
only 2 hours due to a new toll highway that was recently opened.
We are ten minutes from the most incredible Farmers Market which is open on Saturday mornings.

All around us are trout farms. In one of them they let you catch the trout you are going to eat as they also have a
restaurant. Very rustic...the chairs are made of sawed tree trunks. They give you the bait. The ponds are so highly stocked that it increases your chances of catching a fish within less than ten minutes.
Your geese don't pass through here..instead we are an annual assembly point for thousands of green parrots who are even noisier than geese. They gather in the tall trees around here and try to teach me to talk.
You can see the trees in the photos on my photo album. There are also pictures of my home, and the property where our eco village will be built. The first one is starting next week, a small guard house right by the entrance. Also called a gate lodge. I designed it, using Google Sketchup.

Lisa, have you tried deep breathing excercises? When I feel really nervous I use one like this:
inhale through the nose, counting to four, pause, counting to four,
exhaling through the mouth, counting to four, another pause, counting to four.
Five of those breaths and I feel calm again. It takes as long as slowly counting to 80.

Once you get to Orosi Costa Rica you will feel better...the air is the purest on the planet. No chem trails, ever. You just don't want to get stuck behind an ancient diesel truck on a mountain road.

Thanks guys. Yes Junebug I do know a few grounding techniques but could probably always do with more. And Ulli the four breath is the technique I use also. Its very good. I also take calcium and magnesium which help.

Ive just got back from a drive with little uns dad down the Gower to look at the sea and walk on the cliffs. Lovely. Being in nature always helps. The trees are beautiful right now. Autumnal colours abound! I dont drive so I have to ask Mark if he fancies a drive down the coast to connect with nature, go for a walk and get a coffee. Im afraid he's not very good for the old nerves usually but today we were fine so that was good. I really needed that walk.

Modwiz when we live in our eco village in Costa Rica can you teach me all about gem and flower elixirs? Can I be your apprentice please? Its a subject I find fascinating. Take care all

See now today Im the complete opposite and I mean the complete opposite. Feeling now totally blissed out. Not just calm but actually blissful. And this state always seems to come after the mad moments. Thats when I start to think all this ascension malarkey must be true. x

Hey markoid

When you posted about wearing blue at the anti fraking rally, my first thought was "oh, no, that's terrible"

my wife and I are almost through watching the series Battlestar Galactica for the second time, the newer one with the human-ish cylons. In this show they use the word frak instead of f**k. So when I saw that I read "anti ****ing rally"

I know what fraking is by the gas companies, it just took a split second for reality to catch up with cognitive process. Made me laugh at myself.

I think our eco village is multidimensional in nature. From my backyard at the fire altar, I just step around the corner and I am at revere's marina and around yet another corner art the bamboo houses at the edge of the mountain, and another corner reveals outer space where the church is at the center of it all. Lots of corners to go around to be anywhere you wanna be. You know, that ninety degree turn to exit here and be here somewhere else.

Oh Lisa, you found a calling, hooray! I love flower and gem essences too --- but am busy (and loving it) over at the tea room. Maybe I'll stop by and watch Modwiz and you connect with the plant spirits when you get cookin.

Here's one of the highest vibration places I know about ... Molly Sheehan of Green Hope Farms, Meriden, NH. You can get blissed out just looking at the pictures on her website. woohoo

Here's one of Molly's articles called 'Flower Essences are Divinity in Form'

LOL... call me confused?

Barbados…Costa Rica it’s all good! I can throw an adequate fly on the streams for Trout just as well. They do have trout in the streams right? Not just in the farming ponds I hope! No worry because...

Ah… yes Costa Rica boosts some of the best off shore fishing in the world. The continent cuts in close and Sailfish, Tuna and many other species are just off shore. It’s only a fifteen minute boat ride to go play down there with the fish. Here, a two or three hour car ride is just for warm up at 3 am. Because then there is a three to six hour plus boat ride out to the shelf where the big ones roam along the edge of the continent. It makes it a long day and often requires some good sea legs and a sturdy stomach.

The energies are a foot Lisab! For today they seemed to dictate that no one needed to use turn signals while driving. It was uncanny! I almost sent a few off to an early ascension all by myself. I was wondering the exact same thing about energies while I was out and about. I was seeing crazy manic behavior on the roads. It was almost as if everyone driving felt a right of entitlement to the road for their own personal use and road rules. Hmmm?

Well, I guess I better pack both my fresh and salt water gear up for the Village trip. Fish dinner at my hut then!

Peace,

Transiten, sorry, didn't mean to ignore your post. I'm sooo happy your tummy is doing better. here's a song for all you lovely, lovely, lovely people out their in the kingdom of avalon

Haven't heard that in decades, and I mean many decades. I was going to post the theme from Rin Tin Tin for you, being doggy in nature and an old black and white, but when it finished, look what else popped up......

In this show they use the word frak instead of f**k. So when I saw that I read "anti ****ing rally"

Hey PL,

Perhaps the rally was actually in support of two worthwhile causes:

The environment................and population control! :pound:
