Hey Tony,

They are fried cornmeal cakes with seasonings and grated onion. Supposedly got their name from when outdoors-people were cooking up the day's fish catch, then used the same skillet to cook the cornmeal cakes and gave them to the yapping hungry dogs (hey! I can feel a comment from Heyoka coming along ... be careful now) saying 'hush puppies'. Imagine that.

Good to see you.

I imagine Costa Rican sunrises are much more exotic ... we have that to look forward to!

wÖÖt! another party!

I make a delicious watermelon, feta, chilli and mint salad.

Revere, I really chuckled at this: I almost sent a few off to an early ascension all by myself. ;)

Welcome back Transiten! Earth still orbits around the sun since last you were here. We're still the pale blue dot :)

Ulli, will there be serfs to build my log cabin?

There are a lot of local guys waiting desperately for us to give them work. Construction has been hit hardest by the recession.
What we need is a bunch of nice foreigners deciding to come here and build their retirement homes. So far there are about two dozen retired couples in this area. They get together for potlucks. Quite a few are ex military. One was a Sherrif who came to CR to have dental work done and fell in love with his dentist. Another worked as a rocket scientist. Another was a coach for the Milwaukee Brewer baseball team.
My husband is their doctor, as he speaks good English. We socialize with most of the new-comers and I are helping them to find a place in their new community. Not always easy for them, as the culture is quite different and the beaurocracy drives them nuts.
Eventually this place may become like Vilcabamba, the only thing is it rains a lot. Most mornings are sunny though.
And the rivers are too wild for fly fishing, you can't stand up in them.
A whitewater wrafting team uses our land as their base to take tourists downstream for about a mile. I'm too chicken to do it.
My next letter will sing the glories of Barbados, where I will be descending any moment now. But much harder to get retired there, more costly, as well. And most retirees get island fever after a couple of months. The place is very manicured, while my valley here is more like Jurassic Park.

Here and now. A great family friend passed away today. I used to mow their monster of a yard for them. I loved it! It was huge and I can remember listening to Jethro Tull's Aqualung over and over again as I mowed that yard. I loved their boxer, Maggie, too. She was sweet, spry, and beautiful. And after mowing, or just visiting with Perry and Polly, they would serve lemonade and Perry would tell me stories about serving in the Navy in the Pacific during World War II. WWII heroes are lost everyday, and I hate that their knowledge and experience goes with them.

This is loosely relevant, but my experience with them reminds me of these lyrics from Tull's song Wond'ring Aloud on the Aqualung album. Maybe it was from listening to it so much, and the music was ingrained in the experience. I swear I can still taste the lemonade and smell the rich odor of cut summer grass, and hear Perry's voice. He talked in that old sophisticated southern accent that you rarely hear anymore.

Don't mean to post a "downer" but my point is tell your loved ones you love them, and never take them or any second of your day for granted!!! Peace and love to you, Perry!!! Thanks for the memories!

"Wond'ring Aloud"

Wond'ring aloud --
how we feel today.
Last night sipped the sunset --
my hands in her hair.
We are our own saviours
as we start both our hearts beating life
into each other.

Wond'ring aloud --
will the years treat us well.
As she floats in the kitchen,
I'm tasting the smell
of toast as the butter runs.
Then she comes, spilling crumbs on the bed
and I shake my head.
And it's only the giving
that makes you what you are.

Guys Im rushing now getting ready to go to work but have any of you checked out the thread about the Crystal skulls. Ok its a channeling but go down to Calz-averets (think i got that right) post about the ceremony about to take place moving the skulls through certain points in america. Santana's involved and all sorts, and its gonna end on 11.11.11 starting on the 27th of this month with mass meditations everywhere. I need to read it properly so this post is giving it no justice whatsoever. Check it out. Looks really interesting.

Sorry about your friends passing Playdo Il check out your vid later. And dont worry not a downer at all.

Have a great day everyone. Sorry for my rushed post.xxx

I was seeing crazy manic behavior on the roads. It was almost as if everyone driving felt a right of entitlement to the road for their own personal use and road rules. Hmmm?

check this out..... wtf!?!

v2jijVwfPiQ

CCTV footage from the scene shows the pedestrians talking to someone in a blue Ford Focus.

The car then drives a short way up the road, before doing a U-turn and speeding straight into the group.

They were only saved by the car hitting a lamppost - causing considerable damage to its front end.

The incident happened at about 4.10am at the junction of Southmill Street and Peter Street in Manchester's city centre on October 15.

Detective Constable Dave Berry, of north Manchester CID, said: "Anyone who views this footage will be in disbelief that no-one was seriously injured or even worse, killed.

"The car was driven at high speed and can only have been driven in such a way with the intention of hitting someone.

"Were it not for the street furniture being in the way, these pedestrians would surely have suffered very serious harm and could easily have been fatally hurt.

"It is an act of outrageous recklessness and we need to catch the offenders."

Shamanseeker, welcome to the village!

Sorry you are not feeling well. You may not feel like eating with the flu, but perhaps try it ... the food here has the magical power to ease any ailment. I can offer you a slice of Victoria sponge cake or butter pound cake with fresh blackberries. PL has cosmic coffee, and Paul is making fresh raw milk magically appear in the village somehow ... don't know how he does it since our herd of Jersey cows was sold to an Indian businessman...

Hey Transiten -- it's nearly 4 AM here, when I usually wake up. I have been up since 2 AM though -- I can only sleep a few hours at night lately. I'm really hoping my sleep cycle can get back to normal soon!

Hmmm, actually woke up 4.30 myself, went into the forum for some hour and went back to sleep. You don't have the possibility to sleep later? You know in the old times pple were sleeping in "sections". They went to "heavy/dead sleep" after a hard days work, woke up at midnight, reading, contemplating, praying or having sex, and then they had the "lighter dream sleep"...

What's bothering you? Me myself had something on my mind last evening that got resolved this morning.

Marianne

That's interesting about sections... wonder how 'sections' would equate to sleep states like REM, etc. I can't remember the other ones.

So glad you got a resolution today! Always a good feeling.

I can't think of anything that's really bothering me ... have a lot of stuff going on at the moment, things I need to decide about, etc.. But I'm pretty good at tucking things away and not 'feeling' them ... I should go look and see, shouldn't I? My mind tends to be active, and it's as if it just stays on more now. Aha, am getting something ... important for me to take some energy from my head down to my heart and FEEL what I need to. I may need some tissues and a shoulder later. Thanks Liliane, you were my therapist this morning. <3

And Viral, yes I agree, it is a restlessness ... the energy shifts, etc. I think mine is that, with my other stuff too.

Nice that there's always PA and the village to cruise around.

Playdo, just had to say goodbye to my lifecompanion shorthaired collie Pajazzo 2 months ago so i can identify with your loss.

The last thing i read before leaving on the 13.th was your cricket-post. Here's an interpretation of the symbolism of the cricket from "Signposts. The Universe is whispering to You" by Denise Linn, author and helaer with Cherokee ancestry:

The sound of crickets early in the evening create a feeling of peace and cozyness in your home. This can be a calming sign. In some cultures it symbolizes happiness and longevity. On the other hand in the fable about the ant and the cricket the cricket symbolizes the choice to live for the moment at the cost of preparing for the future.

Mornin' ViralSpiral....where would You like it placed...right near the cabin or closer to the foliage ?

Oh dear. Not too many choices pleeeeeease. Otherwise I may have to order two ;)

Synchronicity.... does seem to be increasing. I have had two biggies recently. Last week I went into Munich city to do some training. As I was leaving the tube station, I kicked a € 1.00 coin on the floor. I contemplated picking it up but then thought that perhaps some-one else needed it more than me. Some 4 hours later, I returned to go home. There it was. Same place. Literally hundreds of feet would have walked over it. Oh well, clearly I need it :)

I read Calz's posts in "Up at the ranch" everyday. Today's included: returning benevolent feline friends

About a week ago, I had a visitor. She meeowed at my glass door so loud and long, I just had to let her in. It was as though this was her house! I travel a lot and dont own my own pets (yet)
Usually, when cats go to a new area, they meander around, sniffing everything. Not this one. She curled up between my feet, and slept for an hour. Then got up, went outside to do some "business", came back and slept another hour on my couch. When she was done napping, she got up and left. Have not seen her since.

Here she is

Wow markoid! Interesting sound! Meaningful lyrics! Love that shore! While looking for the symbolism of cricket, my eyes first fell on "shore"!

Here goes: The shore is the border btw your subconscious emotional aspect represented by the water and your earthly, physical aspect. This is an exquisitive sign that your life is in balance:music:

OMG, you didn't really eat shrimp and oyster pizza did you? Are you saying that just to gross me out? Cos you'd do that.

Not just shrimp and oyster silly :girl_wacko:, there was pepperoni, anchovy, kalamata olive, diced onion, diced pepper, mushroom, fresh tomato, heaps of garlic and lavishly sprinkled with ground chilli.

Now don't tell me sis...............the taste just kept gettin' better as I went on, didn't it? :yes4:

Hmmmm, wondering if mercury is about going retrograde? Will check it out....No, not until nov 24, had a conversation about that date today since there were 2 musical lectures coinciding. Anyway i tend to feel the retrogradation communicationissues weeks ahead but this is too far away.

Liliane, where is Mercury in your chart? I have Mercury influences in my chart, so try to keep up with the retrogrades too. I wonder if the loopy time compression could be affecting the retro influences, maybe making its reach farther?

My Mercury is 23 Scorpio conj 25 Sun in the 3:rd house ruled by Mercury, square Pluto in the 11:th, sextile Jupiter in Cap. My chartruler is Mercury: Virgo Ascendant as Mars conj Saturn and MC in Gemini, no wonder i'm sensitive to Mercury the Trickster!

Where is yours except from being Gemini? or is it Cancer? Born in June you said...

I'm 27 Gemini. Born June 18 (same BD as Paul McCartney but later years). Mercury in Gem and IC in Gem. I don't know about the conjunctions and trines, etc... How do you know what your chartruler is?

PurpleLama is revealed.

This picture is about 5 or 6 years old. Hair is much longer and there is a beard, but the goofy grin is the same. When I took this picture, it was Christmas day, and all of my family was otherwise occupied, so I got a six pack and proceeded to drive aimlessly around deserted country roads near the area where I grew up. Good times.

Fell out of bed this morning after another very restless night. There is actually something very potent about that state of the edge of sleep without actually achieving sleep state. I got the very clear message during the night that, because I have been asking for and encouraging a stronger connection with mother earth, that this restlessness is a direct result of that yearning. I have heard that, read that before being the reason for our restless nights, but only now do I KNOW that.
Love to all who share the village... have a beaut day/night everyone.

I would like to say, here and now, how important it is to give credence to where others are at here and now, regardless of where you as a person stand here and now. Others need guidance but not an usurpation into there own soul evolution. I believe everything is happening at an evolutionary pace that each person can deal with. I am trying, and I am learning to accept the other person. Love and acceptance will assist you, if you are wiling, to become a more productive service to others by realizing that they are accomplishing their soul's evolution at the pace that they are meant to acquire the necessary tools for themselves to become a service to others.

Thank you Ulli for creating this thread and stressing the here and now. Here and now is all that really exists.

Playdo, that's a profound thought, and very wise of you to know. So many wise young men here. I see churches as a vehicle for people just beginning their spiritual journey ... though many have traveled on past that now, there are many who could perhaps not begin if not for mainstream churches (I am one of those).

Playdo, I assume that's a picture of you? You and PL are both handsome young men -- your spirit shines through in your pictures.

Mark, appreciate your comments about restlessness, in the process to a greater connection to the earth. I am going to send you reiki, then try sleeping again.

Goodmorning ulli:horn: whenever you wake up! Have been away myself and didn't read all the posts since i left, hope you slept well.

Regarding synchronicities i don't think they always tell you you're on the "right path". In my experience it can be quite the opposite if you don't "heed the call" as a warningsignal. But if i went about telling you guys it would lead to the hughe trauma of my life and would occupy too much space and drag this "waterhole" down. But of course this trigggers my fears in a way maybe difficult for you to understand and has to do with all the obstacles i've had in my "singing caréer" and with trying to keep it up.

This is not the astrologythread so i'll keep it short. Astrology also is a form of synchronicity. Anyway Saturn is going to conjoin my Moon for quite a while so "the old devil" will bring even more serious energies into my life. On sunday Venus will square my Pluto and sextile my Saturn.

Before Pluto was discovered Saturn was the most distant planet and symbolizes among other things structure, responsability, borders and death. Pluto is more on the collective level symbolizing control, power, death and transformation so that's a fitting combo for me singing in that church since Venus also stands for art and love although i think Neptune should have been involved......wait i'll go and check my midpoints..........

....there it is! Venus is in the midpoint Neptune/MC also, Neptune ruling the invisible realms and unselfish love and MC is one's lifepath, and there are others too....

Being on my own a lot just came here for some support, no killings in this village i presume, Be Safe:rapture:

SURPRISE SURPRISE! I decided not to mention Uranus being conjunct in the exact midpoint of my Venus/MC on Sunday, ...Uranus being the planet of surprises, discoveries and sudden changes...

.....and then I just had a call and we postponed the concert because of the tragic event! A true relief since now i can keep my original songs.

Thing is i have a friend who has BIG problems with herself and her children and they have a birthdayparty on Saturday. Now i will be able to help them instead and the transits will fit in just as well.

Sun is shining and I'm off to my allotment!

Don't know what to make out of this synchronicity: I haven't had an engagement for several months but now i'm preparing for a "musical service" in a church in a small village i've never heared of before some 5 Swedish miles from Gothenburg. I'm free to sing whatever i want but much of my repertoir gooes very well with the rather secularized Swedish Church.

I just finished the commentaries and have been pondering my transits on Sunday, Venus square Pluto and sextile Saturn....seems somewhat somber....well as a matter of fact the songs i have choosen are mostly serious and two of them about the death and loss of dear ones....

The answer came just 20 minutes ago on the news: A man and a woman have been murdered in "Långared"....................................................................

..........that's where i'm going to sing in the church on Sunday.... so the priest will adress this horrible event.............and maybe i will have to change my repertoir somewhat???

ulli having read the same books as me on synchronicity also being an astrologer, what do you think about "being guided" here????

This will have to wait for answer...unless you consider it answered by me saying 'you were guided the re to be a guiding light.' So be it.
I just finished traveling...its 2:02 am here in Barbados and I left my house in Costa Rica at 3:30 am...so i feel like a beached whale right now...too tired to unpack, even. Just wanted to let you know I missed being with you all on the village green. The flight was 2 1/2 hours delayed and that made the Miami stopover an 8 1/2 hour wait. I had fun though, meeting some amazing and interesting people on the flight as well as the gate. Pooped now. Nitie - nite.

Wow transiten... you are a professional singer?! It is quite a dilemma you have found yourself in... a sensitive situation huh? I am sure you will make a beautiful choice of music to perform under the circumstances, you obviously have the integrity and love in your heart to do so... may you perform beautifully songbird!

Ulli: I hope you had refreshing sleep, we missed you around here while you were travelling.

Marianne: Thank you for the reiki, it may explain the gushy burst of gratitude I experienced this afternoon... felt full of potential and love!

Carmody: Good to see you paying a visit to the village, warm welcome to you.

Playdo: Well said! Exactly the sort of credo that makes for successful, peaceful community life... thank you.

I told her about my cancelled concert and then she says her husband has made restorations in that churh i was going to sing Also she was interwiewed on radio about an artproject she's involved with, but the interview was postponed until tomorrow............................................................................................ ...because of the killings in Långared.................................

.........this is the first time during our relationship she has admitted that maybe there's something to the synchronicity phenomenon after all....actually this made me open up more easily to increase my contact with her. I have been the one trying to reconnect and now i feel we are getting closer again:love:

I just had a call and we postpone the concert because of the tragic event! A true relief since now i can keep my original songs.

Thing is i have a friend who has BIG problems with herself and her children and they have a birthdayparty on Saturday. Now i will be able to help them instead and the transits will fit in just as well.

Sun is shining and I'm off to my allotment!

Excuse me for taking over the village with my synchronisities, but this is for markoid if you missed the comment i added to the post you just commented. I will keep silent for a while. Actually i'm quite paranoid also getting the feeling something tries to stop me from singing...or maybe from singing in the "wrong" places where i cannot express my TRUE BELIEFS talked about here?

Playdo, that's a profound thought, and very wise of you to know. So many wise young men here. I see churches as a vehicle for people just beginning their spiritual journey ... though many have traveled on past that now, there are many who could perhaps not begin if not for mainstream churches (I am one of those).

Playdo, I assume that's a picture of you? You and PL are both handsome young men -- your spirit shines through in your pictures.

Thanks for your kind words Junebug. That is me, but I don't know if I would go so far to call me or PL handsome. I guess that's the beauty of subjectivity!

Well, I'm sitting in my massage room reading the threads at PA. My first appointment was a no show but I will get paid anyway. It is the arrangement they have here. Only 9 more days of work 11 more days of tent living. Visited the house and wife last night and moved some things back in. Man her three cats stink up the house. I am going to have to sequester myself in my bedroom and crank the incense.(Yes, I sleep alone most nights and it is all good) I will miss living outdoors. Of the last 18 months I have spent 12 of them in a tent.

I have some really good sandalwood incense and white sage leaves, of course. I also like Sai Baba Nag Champa. I keep it in a drawer with my money. Every month when I paid my rent here,in cash, they would always comment on the sweet smell of the money. I also have some Yellow sandalwood powder that I sprinkle on my hot woodstove to waft it through the house. And of course, Copal, Franc and Myrrh resins to put on some nice coals plucked from the woodstove.

The house needs a good smudging. Evil cat piss spirits abound. Fecal fairies too. They gotta go.

Carmody! Isn't that a Martin D45? Looks exactly as mine...and also i think the guy might be Scorpio with strong Pluto aspects like me...

David Byrne (born May 14, 1952)

well, He's a Dragon, at the least. (Dragons Rule!!.... heh heh)

Scorpio mars oppose Venus, Jupiter and mercury, all in his native Taurus...Pluto Leo sextile Neptune Libra....Pluto square sun, Venus. Pluto quintile Chiron -Capricorn.

Well, that explains a lot.

I think we may have had this chat, but I seem to recall you and I both being Dragons.

Yes. We Rule!!! heh heh....

As for cats, I can't have them. It's me, not the cats. My problem is that I'm multi-dexterous. I grew up fighting with my sister, basically... since birth. She is multi-dexterous herself. So I'm hard wired to wrassle with wimmins.

So, if a cat jumps into my lap and I'm watching someone's TV or the like (as I don't have one or a cat)..and unconsciously start petting the cat... the cat ends up getting far too good of a petting. Then I do the Virgo thing. I fill them up with as much affection as possible and then that should hold them for a while. 'Wrong answer', the cat says. 'I will now pee on everything in order to get in yo' face wit my smell.... Cuz I want MORE of that amazing ride.' And that is my history with cats.

I've been getting very 'good' vibes of You All in this thread lately...I see Us ALL together at this ceremony circle I built in the jungle in Peru..
I mean...I see and feel Us there together, right now, in spirit, in a loving hand-held circle, helping Mother Earth "rise" to the current occasion of monumental changes with Our Spiritual Energy in the middle of the mix...You are a selfless group here...so there : ) Love, Love, Love!!!
...and Thank You All!

...and by the by, all those trees were already down well before I got there...I have this thing about 'not' downing trees at this time in my journey and only use trees that have already fallen on their own for this kind of work!

I am married to a cat lady. :frusty: She sure is pretty though. Sweet, smart and...........skilled. :eyebrows::thumb:

You're right. I bought some once and it worked very well. Not cheap though. My wife's cats are indoors too. I like them and they like me but I would never own any. An outside cat that occasionally wanted to hang a bit and catch a meal, a familiar if you will, would work. My wife has three of them, the two youngest are males who are total clowns. In all the wrong places and times. They are the biggest factor in me sleeping in my own bed.

Thanks for the enzyme reminder. Time to express some abundance and buy some.

I love burning resins, dragons blood, frankensense and myrrh are my favorites, together or separate. Aside from that, satya incenses are the bees knees. They have a base of white sage, IIRC. More recently I've been falling in love with this Laxmi Dhoop I discovered at the little head shop where I get my Seneca cigarettes.

I once left a single stick of laxmi dhoop, the look and smell of which, burning or not, was exactly like real opium, in the inside pocket of my jacket and I forgot about it. Later, I boarded a plane to San Diego for a business trip and then returned home with it in my pocket the whole time unbeknownst to me. I didn't notice it until I was unpacking and I freaked out! I thanked my lucky stars that some TSA agent didn't find it and arrest me on incense smuggling charges! That would not have been fun: "No really sir, it's incense, I promise!! Just smoke it and see!"

I am writing from my new MacBook Air and it works like a dream.
My little Suzuki finally started. It had been sitting in front of my apartment since the end of April without being driven.
The battery was recharged last night, at a garage, but still it wouldn't start.
But in the end it turned out to be something simple: ...it was the alarm system. I had forgotten all about it.
It wasn't needed, it was annoying, so back in April before leaving Barbados my husband had disconnected the horn. And thought probably that would disconnect the whole alarm system.
But today I remembered this just in time. After rummaging around I found the alarm control in a kitchen cupboard, it was not on the key ring. After I pressed the button the engine started. With the horn disconnected I had not realized that the problem was due to the alarm not being deactivated.
And then my reading glasses finally showed up...had fallen out of my jacket pocket when I was being picked up at the airport, and were in his car, right by the gear stick. And Nara's blood pressure was down an hour ago, to 126 over 85.
And, and, and....I tell you, it's this village...the moment one asks for support, even quietly in one's mind, the miracles begin, and at an amazing rate. So happy to be part(y) of a village. Now that Calz and Carmody are here as well it will be one big happy circus.
Right outside my windows hundreds of tree frogs are making their bleep bleep songs. The ceiling fan is buzzing overhead. I will have to get used to this heat...and taking two showers a day. Wish you were here.

Another day done at the Wellness Center. Time to head back to the tent.(I love my tent) Have to stop at the cafe and get some cookies, fresh baked right there. They have the best vegan cookie with nuts and fruit. Mmm! The dairy stuff is awesome as well. I was hooked on their ginger cookies earlier in the season. The dairy was making me pudgy though. Dragons tend toward vanity and getting too far from a sinuous form can be uncomfortable too.

On with the tunic and into the night. (I walk everywhere here. Work, beach and meals)

I am reflecting on what carmody posted earlier in reference to cats and his petting abilities and I am wondering what would happen if the worlds best cat scratcher happened upon the worlds rottenest cat, just what would happen? Carmody, you might not should ever visit me, IRL, for I think it might upset the space time continuum.

I forgot to mention copal among my list of favorite resins. I have a blend that I made of red black and white copals with a touch of dragons blood that's pretty sweet. Talk about telling the boogers to get the eff out.

The baby is going to sleep and the cats are running around and Diviño Niño Jesus is all glowing and pretty over there on the altar.

I had a friend who during his worst drinking phase would give his cats shrimp and then send them out hunting for a week...put out no food at all.

We can talk astrology, conspiracy, politics, as long as there is a context to our personal lives. If a post becomes boring then being bored is part of the here and now. Village life can be boring, it is nearly a given. Boredom is a huge aspect of reality. The opposite of action packed movies.
When escape from boredom becomes compulsive, then that, too, can be seen in a here and now context, it just needs to be looked at with an awareness.
Bored now, bye!

Only mods and admins can delete posts.

There are various ways to get the mods attention to request a post of yours be deleted.

Perhaps the slickest is to:

Edit the text of the post to be just something simple like "mods - please delete this post."
Then report that post to the mods: click on the Report Triangle http://projectavalon.net/forum4/images/buttons/report-40b.png below the post and when asked for a Report Reason, say something like "please delete this post"

Neither this method, nor any other, is instant. It can be a major fraction of a day before a Mod goes through the Reported Posts next, and acts on your request. But sooner or later it will most likely have affect.

The other problem is that my kundalini gets involved, and it's quite potent. The cats dig it big time... and they finally get to the point where they are totally spasmodic...... then they are hooked. A drooly spasmodic mess, they be.

Now that I understand that 'the cat' is simply a positive feedback energy gobbling system, highly addiction prone at that....and I've got what it wants...and... I've got enough to put it in overload condition...I simply sit on my hands when the cats approach. 'Oh no you don't', I says to their little feline innocent-like inquiries. 'Mew?' they gently ask, so innocent like... 'I won't be your love slave', I tell them, 'and turn you into an addict'.

Carmody, I have been mystified, intrigued, and educated by your posts for a while now, but now I am just pleasantly amused by your humor!

Regarding your statement:
Now that I understand that 'the cat' is simply a positive feedback energy gobbling system.....

I knew a girl from Jena, Deutschland, an energy worker and Hexe, and she loved to speak about cats. She stated, much the same as you have, that cats are energy recyclers. If you have negative energy, they absorb it, recycle, and emit positive energy. If you release positive energy, they magnify it.

PL, this reminds me of your late cat Hobbes, bless his little feline heart. You should relate that story.

Nighty night everyone......

you're wrong, MAN!!
That's the Bajan (Barbadian) in me coming out.
But, man, no problem, man!@!

If you heard the tone of my voice you would have detected the West Indian accent.
Germans aren't the only people who can speak with authority.
You should hear some of the beach vendors a(G)round here...hehe..
(edit note: I JUST NOTICED THIS VERY APT TYPO)
or go into one of the local rum shops.
Names like PINK MAUSOLEUM written on white tin roofs, so even the satellite can see it.

Just wanted to respond as i am heading out for a 'nostalgia' ride here on ol' Cape Cod...been over 20 years since I have been here at my old stomping grounds : )
My story is in snippets here and there on the internet...it is a mini-novel in and of itself...beautiful happenings these past 5 years...I will send a pm later with some links...as to keep this here and now in the here and now : )
I had a wonderful culmination of a 1/2007 dream in MA I was 'prompted' to go finish...and that dream was finished 3 1/2 years later in Peru .. that very ceremony circle with my creation energy in it being an integral part of the conclusion. I was told I was on my 'bonus miles' and to simply keep doing what I was doing...listening to my promptings and moving with them.

Off to make lunch now for the other man in my life...

We share our interest in the arts, and recently he has discovered Kubrick and Fellini movies...

So my husband comes bursting into the bedroom in a high state of excitement, dragging wires, a USB and muttering, "If this works ..." then announces to me, "I've tried to get this for you for 22 years, (we've been married 23) can you guess what it is?"

I immediately start muttering "Shakespeare ... the movie ... Shakespeare ... " before I shake a brain cell loose and ask, "Is it a close captioned version of 'Prospero's Books' by Greenaway?"

If ever you wondered what it would be like to SEE past, present and future collapsed into the here and now...
If ever you wondered what it would be like to SEE the entities around you...

There have been several Kubrick threads already on Avalon.
But all set in the sci-fi context of 2001- A Space Odyssey, or Eyes Wide Shut, in the context of Illuminati MK Ultra.
But just Kubrick, the maker of masterpiece movies...I guess one has to step out of Avalon altogether to find those discussion...unless we at the village agree to have an informal discussion circle. Just as we already have an informal astrology circle and an informal incense circle.

You know something? It's easier for me to follow a strictly philosophical or scientific thread than some posts in this one. Why? Since English is not my first language i don't easily follow the "slang" (same word in Swedish) and the jokes. Actually joking and playing with words are the most difficult things to learn from a foreign language.

Anyway, i'm "secretely" in a plutonic/saturnian way "using" all your posts for self-discovery and don't even have the time to report all the synchronicities happening to me. Also this was not meant to be a "serious" thread like going to a shrink or a medium but of course it would have been interesting to have an indepth serious synchronicity thread but i doubt i will ever find pple interested in that (my saturn conj moon transit just took off) :biggrin1::biggrin1: talking to myself here, this transit might reflect feeling emotionally cut off but also an excellent time for selfscrutinizing.

Wow! Forty pages in three weeks! You got something going here, Ulli!

This is truth, this thread is proof there is hope for us yet.

Sorry I haven't kept up. I thought I'd post my recent experiences, if any are interested.

I just finished a three week job. It was a rewire job in an old house. There were three tenants and the owner. The owner, it turns out, was a searcher and knows much about alternate media and news. But for him the search brought him full circle back to his childhood religion. He studies the bible with highlighter and multiple reference manuals. He volunteers at his church. He has very strong family ties. Someone here said I was going to learn a lot at this job - they were right. When we met he also said we were brought together for a reason. He was right, too.

His tenants are an older East Indian gentleman with a nasty life-story that left him destitute but happier than ever before, an artist with severe diabetes, and a young guy with phychological issues. I got to know them all, sometimes spending hours listening to their stories and getting no work done. I helped them all as best I could.

And the owner worked on me. He has impressed upon me the importance of the asking for help. His last words to me were: "And don't forget, Ernie, to pray to God and ask him to make his presence known to you. He yearns to hear those words from you. Ask and ye shall receive. He wishes to share his abundance with you. He owns everything, created everything. Do you think such a God would hoard his gifts? No. He only waits for you to ask, in prayer, to be shown his works. Give Him this little gift and He will open the storehouse and heap rewards upon you. You will not recognize your life once you sincerely ask for the signs." (or something close along those lines)

I have yet to find that sincerity in myself, but I realize now that that is exactly the issue. I have not asked to be shown because I do not want a life of unknowns. I would rather live with my old familiar habits and comfortable enough routine than turn my world "upside down" or "on its ear". I am afraid of life as it would naturally be lived in the presence of God.

All of these conspiracy theories and sorting the truth from the lies is just fluff, a mode of escapism, that allows me to remain as I am until I ascertain the truth for myself. But the truth is not "out there" - it never was. And the search for truth "out there" is completely futile. Nor is it of consequence. There is no need to search for what I already possess.

Peace to all

your real dilemma is not the slang...which can vary even from one city to another.
Your real dilemma is that your antenna wants you to download the message behind all of Kubricks experiences
which cannot be done in a few minutes.
Watching and absorbing and then digesting Kubrick's movies is a time consuming task, but it is well worth it.
Besides, philosophical serious websites where everything is spelled out won't help you develop your intuition.
This village is the right place for you, so if a couple of things go above your head- never mind.

Yep, stepping into the unknown can be a frightening experience if we allow it to be that way. It can also be the most uplifting experience in your life as you throw off old shackles. It can be both at the same time, but either way, it is a vital step to take on many a path.

I think it is actually where one's personal journey begins. :)

Am I the only one up around here or what?

Ulli I am so impressed with your son's artwork, its absolutely gorgous. I keep going back to the site and looking. I love art and have been known to buy the odd piece from local artists here. My friend is an artist and years ago nearly got to work on 'Spitting Image'. Dont know if anyone can remember that. Anyway I might treat myself to something of your son's for xmas. literally drooling now! I used to be a complete comic book freak and it reminds me of some of the great artwork in some graphic novels I used to collect. In short absolutely fabulous!!!! Love it.

Ernie its so great to see you back here. And yes we wont find what's 'out there' until we find out what's 'in here'.

Purplelama a magic circle-love it! Ive just got all my old grimoires out from the attic and found out some are worth money these days, so magic works for me!

Here and now....feeling grateful.....group hug love you all xx

I have a lovely pearl necklace waiting for me at the post office. Intended to pick it up tonight on the way home, but had to stay late to finish my work, and just missed it.

Really happy tonight.

Tony, you can be yo' smart self again anytime.

Tony, you can be yo' smart self again anytime.

Nah.........I think that I'll stick to being my big sister's :girl_wacko:best little brother  from now on.

That is, at least until you voluntarily place your neck on the chopping block, which leaves me little choice. :pound:

I do wish ulli would ask me what my question for her is!

Hiya ulli,

I know that this may all be somewhat after the fact, but exactly two hundred and forty posts ago, a significant milestone on this thread was achieved, that being the one thousandth post. I was expecting some amount of fanfare, an announcement perhaps, but this most auspicious of occasions appears to be rapidly fading into the annuls of this threads history.

So, the question is, was there some kind off prize for the lucky member who hit the jackpot, you know, like the lucky one thousandth visitor?

How about a flight somewhere, a holiday, I don't know.

By the way, that lucky member was good 'ol Heyokee himself, which may aid in the selection of a suitable prize.

That's all,

Oo Roo. :)

Oh LOOK!! I gave my 6000th thanks somewhere on this very page and no one even pointed it out nor thanked me back!!
OH ROOOO.

Heyoka, seriously, though, if you could have just reminded me I would have honored your post and given you a world cruise gift certificate.
Shucks. Your loss.
I wonder how I missed it? Maybe I was so concerned about the way you were treating your big sister that I totally forgot to present you with that little bonus.
And it was a cruise for TWO!!!!

Well, the QE 2 has left the port, but there is another very nice barge right behind her, if you hurry you should be able to make it in time.

Unfortunately I could only get a one-way ticket.

5:50 am. Tree frogs bleeping, fan buzzing.
Absence of snoring husband is noted.
Waking up to Carmody's Reggae Christmas and all the other funny posts is like waking up to Christmas presents.
Can't tell the difference with virtual anything anymore.
A brief look at the rest of the forum shows me there is a divisive process at work. Are we here being corraled?
Ok...that's ma fear- mongering for the day. Give ya'll something to chew on.
I dreamt of Dutch royalty last night. Prince Bernard didn't show his face. There were two couples in the dream, with the Princesses being of the Dutch Royal family and their husbands being from some other bloodline. I was a commoner, and was made to feel priviledged to be taken into their inner circle. Nothing bad happened, nothing good either. No dramas, which was good. There was a cake there, it had been signed. Didn't say "Junebug" though. Sorry, Junebug.
Hmmm, no sign of Heyoka yet. He'll have to finish his airplane first before he can escape from his frosty Alcatraz.

One more thought this morning....of Dan_33. He was very sick.
Can we give him some special village herb tea, to put him back on his feet?
He will be running the village cinema, so we cannot afford to lose him.

The dogs will soon be here to walk me.
Can't say the thought of that is wagging my lazy tail.
The things we women have to do to maintain those curves.
