Here and Now...What's Happening?

In my clean up today, i lit a small fire in the fireplace in my bedroom,
as i suspected the chimneys REALLY need cleaning out here.
I set off my smoke alarms, man are those things loud.

So no fires in that room at least, i will check the other fireplaces
tomorrow, hopefully i can get one of them working,
i would so love to have fires inside this winter.

had figured out how to get water by turning on the water pipe in people's gardens.

Just finished slapping...ow! Immediately after I felt thirsty and wanted to pee! That happens alot after a reiki session and is a good sign of it working, so good news then. Hope I remember my dreams tonight. I did remember one the other night. I was in the garden laying on my belly talking with the fae. I was showing them two pieces of amythyst in the palm of my hand. One piece is the one I own here and now and my favourite, which has been with me for years. The second piece Ive never seen before. It was longish and had a single pointed end. It was stood upright in my palm but kept breaking down. The fairies seemed to take delight in this as though it was ok. I then buried the pieces around my garden but kept my piece. I also remember the sun was shining and making prisms in the crystals. I woke up happy.

The Lovely Bones novel (as is sometimes the case) is MUUUUUCH better than the film. Critical scenes were omitted which, if you only watch the movie, may not make sense but are essential to her character. I will not divulge as the movie does carry itself. Peter Jackson also warped the timelines a little.


The movie has a great cast and the choices for the characters were, imo superb. Here is the trailer

I watched Hereafter yesterday. Thank you for the tip Astrid.
I think the reason it bombed was that it was extremely slow and thin. Clint Eastwood could have made so much more out of the storyline. Ghost for instance, or The Lovely Bones, were interesting and intriguing. Personal taste of course :)

Having read books by Brian Weiss and Dr Michael Newton, and having had my own experience of a visit from the other side, I am not a skeptic. I enjoy and entertain the idea of inter-dimensional communication. Our cosmic landscape prevents absolute proof, making this, an unacceptable concept.

I think the bigger issue is that many are not at a level of deep inquiry where "concepts of truth" disappear into the stream.

Just woke from a message being delivered about
my father . He had surgery a little while back and
is not recovering too well. I was told what the issue
was , now to work out how to get permission to fix it.

Was interesting too as I was semi conscious and quite
cold, when I came too a bit more I was enquiring on
the mechanics of things . I thought maybe it was guides
close by , but they are usually warm not cold.
I was told it was my energy reaching out and connecting
with my father and the travelers he had brought home
from the hospital . Why he is not recovering too well .
Hospitals are the worst places to be sick so many stuck
between worlds and dad being a man of the cloth
they have gone to him for help . Normally I suspect
this would be not an issue for him, but he is low in
power so it's a major problem .
Usually when people I know are having surgery I make
sure I am " in the room" to see that all goes well ,
but I was not informed so all I can do is clean up .

Oh and some amazing news from Justins partner
he's now in his own room and smiling and writing
on a white board . This was the worst brain injury
the hospital had ever seen in a living patient so
prayers have surely been heard there .
Still requests for prayers to restore brain cells to
full health . But I just wanted to mention the update
and thank you all so much for your contributions
every thought counts . Even more powerful when it's
not someone you know that can do not a lot in return
for you, those are prayers of a true heart .

I ran into DCD, and SOM (Sisters of Mercy) at nearly the same time. Luckily for me, we had one of the world's greatest record stores in our town. i managed to pick up everything either group had done, up to that time, all on vinyl.

My skull and brain are only now beginning to not hurt. Left hemisphere, frontal lobe, through the septum, to the rear lower, in back, near dead center. Of course it hurts most...at 3:15 in the morning...(the witching hour).

One thing that people (mugglish ones) don't understand is that manifestation ends up meeting the so called 'real world'. So the mundane excuse is that 'here' in the 3d world, I have a cold, an infection. Thus the 'muggles', as Mod is seemingly fond of calling them, have their scientific unconnected excuse to proffer as evidence. Others....know better, know how this works. The connection has to be real, so it forms, in one way or another. On all the various levels---it completes.

This multifaceted overly is necessary, so that the muggles have a doorway, an opportunity, and space to occupy in their ignorance, at the same time the rest of us can get down to business, in our own opening, our own unfolding.

The capacity to undergo a lateral shift in one's thinking and understandings... is thus there, at all times. The universe leaves every single atom and moment of time as a potential shift, a gift, a lateral shifting doorway so that each incarnate can look. They can look at any time they want, or can handle. One can wander over and through the line at any time. To exist in any state, at any time. To see through one layer, or all..always there, always available.

So, the muggles can exist in denial and be safe, with their 3d reality training wheels on. And the opportunity is always there...for them to take those blinders off. When one wanders too far, too deep..and needs to re-calibrate, or take a break, one can take clarity off, remove the complex layers and the vision/sight, and just be mundane for a while.

Maybe my zebra suit is coming off. There is a burning zebra thingy about all this, which might be becoming something else. PL, can you tell me why you put dragons blood incense on the top of your outdoor fire altar ? Which is magnificent by the way.

I love fire. I was certified a pyro by my parents when I was about 7. I started one night when everyone is in bed. I would go down to the kitchen and light up the wall paper with one of those click firelighters. Then smudge it out really quickly. Did this a few nights, it was the thrill of burning and being caught doing it that kept me going.
Until the night the flames took hold and went right up the wall.

Oh gee, was I in trouble after that :)

Have a bit more respect for a fire these days. I lay citrus peel on top of my carmine in the kitchen. The smell of the oils burning wafts right through the house. After the peel is burnt, it makes great tinder for the next fire.

I'm a huge Castaneda fan. I've read his books in triplicate,,I attended a seminar in northern arizona with Florinda Donnar, Taisha Abelar, Carol Tiggs and the Chacmools back in 93'. At one point in the woods there I rounded a blind corner and myself and Florinda Donner ran right into each other. We stood there for like ten seconds just looking at eachother, I excused myself, but she kept looking at me with those penetrating eyes, it was a cool experience.

Those words you quoted by Carlos Castaneda, those are some wonderfull words.
That being said though,,,,,,you, me, and everyone else here we are all going to die. Castaneda,,,who was trying to follow in the footsteps of Don Juan and attempt to live forever so to speak, did not in anyway escape this world,,he died as well.
For what it's worth as well, Carol Tiggs, Florinda Donner and Taisha Abelar (his cohorts so to speak) all commited suicide a year or two after his death.

I got into trouble for setting things on fire many times as a child, many times. When I was fourteen I kept setting fire to the cut up side of a matress, the cotton inside, until finally I couldn't put it out, so I ran and got some water and doused it, and for a moment I thought all was fine. A few minutes later, smoke came out of the other side, and after a brief moment I realized what I had to do, and dragged it outside. I was fourteen at the time, so I slept on the floor for the next two years, my parents seeing that as a suitable punishment, although from age six I had never slept in my bed, much, or at least I never woke up in the bed, much. I had so-called abduction experiences, and I would wake up literally all over the house, under the kitchen tabel, in the laundry room, in the hall way, the bathtub, you get the picture. My parents, naturally being concerned, put burgular bars on the house, and kept the doors bolted with a key, at night. Yet, I would often wake up with grass, leaves, and dirt on and around my feet, which was the source of some confusion.

Ok, so I wandered off a bit. At sixteen, my dad passed, as has been mentioned before, but until then, I fell asleep on the couch. Here and now, that might be the most revelatory I've been. Maybe not. Who's gonna check over ten thousand posts to be sure? Hmm, anyway.


Dragons blood is just part of what I'm about. Today it was copal, several ounces of it, that's been poured over the top of the crystals of the DB. I have accomplished much podunk magic today. The wind has been absolutely great today. I'm actually a little more Air than Fire, I just married into Fire. Air makes fire really Hot. Ha.

Went to my orientation for my six month gig today and upon finishing was greeted by Dan/Eaglespirit who will be working in another department there. We spent about and hour and a half together. I intend to have him over and he will probably help me move my bed and other stuff to where my tent will be. He is also going see to repairs to the platform that my tent sets up on. What a pleasant surprise. I look forward to seeing him almost daily for the next 6 months.

Very Cool, indeed.

Had a friend help me with the tidy up today,
we got heaps done, lots of junk that was
hanging around from my move a year ago
finally got thrown out. I still have loads to
do and only 20 hours left, so its going to be
a long night. At least i have the villagers to
keep me company.

Also, I got stung by something today, i think a wasp.
I went straight for the white vinegar treatment,
It worked really well. The swelling went down so fast
so i will keep that in mind for future reference.
What ever it was it was flying and it happened so fast,
i must have disturbed it while i was weeding.

Also on taking my friend back home, we saw some
sort of comet /rocket launch in the western sky. It was
really bright and it had a tail. There were also so very odd
spiral clouds nearby, but not sure it they where related to
the said comety rocket object.
Nothing in the news that i can see.

Exhausted this morning, and drained. Would like to pull the covers over my head. Am reminded of something my mom once told me, "forget creating a college fund for your kids...create a therapy fund because you are going to mess them up one way or another whether you meant to or not."

Has been a challenge, so far, raising the particular daughters I have. Maybe if I had been in touch with my "spiritual" side back then I would have asked for help in sending them healing energies, and maybe that would have made a difference. I embraced the challenge each one presented, and I addressed each strength and weakness with them. I spent so much of myself on the first one, I was amazed I had anything left for the second one lol. Then the third one came, and she was the balancing joy. Bipolar and extreme anxiety plagued the first two, and I found strength I honestly did not know I had. I researched and learned and joined groups and spread myself very thin. I never looked back, never regretted it for a moment.

Just now, though, as I think about what my mom said, I wonder if any of that made a difference.

Yesterday I was sick and didn't know why. Stomach, head (that Advil wouldn't touch), exhaustion, heavy fog in my head like I couldn't ever get quite awake or something. Then Peanut called and afterward I was left to wonder if all the ick I experienced was an internal knowing that sh*t was about to hit the fan. All I can say at this point, is I hope not. I recognize my sensitivities now, but if that ick is tied to them I'm gonna have a tough go of it.

Tomorrow I ride a school bus full of 7th graders to a band thing....I had better recover from this crap today because I doubt that's a good idea at this point. Can't disappoint. Think I will load my pockets and socks and whatever else I have with some black stones and hope like the dickens...

When I was living in Notting Hill Gate I used to see Hockney all the time as we were neighbors.
His partner Peter Schlesinger lived in the flat above me. His muse Celia Birtwell was a good friend o mine. So there are personal reasons why I followed his work after leaving England for good.

He is now the most celebrated artist in the UK. Which many Brits find annoying.
But anyone with this much talent and the willingness to share it with the rest of the world deserves to be a celebrity.

Went to my orientation for my six month gig today and upon finishing was greeted by Dan/Eaglespirit who will be working in another department there. We spent about and hour and a half together. I intend to have him over and he will probably help me move my bed and other stuff to where my tent will be. He is also going see to repairs to the platform that my tent sets up on. What a pleasant surprise. I look forward to seeing him almost daily for the next 6 months.

Apparently, Ulli knew this was going to happen.

Roughly two thousand people, evenly split between Native Americans and their supporters, completed a five month march from San Francisco when they entered Washington DC on July 15, 1978. After stopping in Meridian Hill Park for a rally, they ended the 2,700 mile journey at the Washington Monument. Almost two dozen people had walked the entire distance. Although the entire effort was run by a coalition of more than a hundred Native American tribes and groups, it was planned and organized by the American Indian Movement (http://www.aimovement.org/) (AIM) because it felt that Native water and land rights were under threat.
The purpose of the march was to protest and lobby against eleven bills before Congress that Indians felt would alter treaties between the US government and various Native tribes. Some of these bills would have restricted tribal government, limited some hunting and fishing rights and closed Native schools and hospitals. Most were introduced by Washington State representatives, in response to several court decisions favoring Native Americans. While they had little chance of passage, their introduction was seen as ominous.
During the week of demonstrations, lobbying, tribal ceremonies and workshops most of the 2,800 participants camped out at a federal park in Maryland. After the first day’s walk to DC, busses brought them in for each day’s events. The busses were paid for by the federal government, as were Army field kitchens, tents, water tanks and other logistical support. Officials estimated that all this cost the taxpayers $250,000. In addition, several church groups contributed money for food and other necessaries. By July 27 everyone had left the park and gone home. None of the proposed bills which had provoked the protest were ever passed by the US Congress

Throughout the day, we'll find that cat curled up amongst the chickens in the nesting boxes. I'll have to snap a picture next time I see him in there.

Been a while since I've checked in to Here and Now. Have tried to keep up with all the posts as much as time allows. All the pictures, music and joking have helped keep me sane and laughing at times when I need it the most.

Deeply embroiled in dealing with two broken systems, I have learned to become a bitch out of necessity. One cannot deal logically when confronted with twisted, illogical systems. Unfortunately, during this time I have had to become hardened...distasteful, but necessary in ensuring a favorable outcome for my son. We are not alone; and have not only taken a stand, but challenge existing paradigms for the many others who don't have the strength or the will to fight for themselves. Thankful for the little victories along the way, we are closer than ever to a positive outcome. I know it. I believe it. I see it happening.

Working in the garden, long walks and playing with my grandchildren are my salvation these days. Cooking 'with' the Happy Herbivore and spending long sessions at the piano...all these things help release the anger and frustration, carrying me back to a place of peace within...as does the everyday goings on in the Village Here and Now.

I just changed the way that the video was presented in Post #1, to the same way as Cjay presented it in Post #5, using the ... markup instead of the
... markup. We (well, Ilie Pandia) have put more work into the YOUTUBE markup, so it works better when posting Youtube videos. You can use the http://projectavalon.net/images/youtube.gif icon, when posting or replying to a post, in order to get the ... markup without having to type it all in.

This is for *YOUTUBE* videos only ... others vary.

1) Highlight the text address of the video you want to post.

2) Right click ... select "COPY"

3) Place cursor wherever in your text box you wish for the video to appear. Right click ... "PASTE"

4) Highlight the address you have just pasted then click on the "YouTube" button 3rd from right on top of the text box.

5) Click "Go Advanced" next to right beneath the text box.

6) There you will see what will be posted at the upper portion of the screen.

7) Once you are satisfied click "Submit Reply".

Been a while since I've checked in to Here and Now. Have tried to keep up with all the posts as much as time allows. All the pictures, music and joking have helped keep me sane and laughing at times when I need it the most.

Deeply embroiled in dealing with two broken systems, I have learned to become a bitch out of necessity. One cannot deal logically when confronted with twisted, illogical systems. Unfortunately, during this time I have had to become hardened...distasteful, but necessary in ensuring a favorable outcome for my son. We are not alone; and have not only taken a stand, but challenge existing paradigms for the many others who don't have the strength or the will to fight for themselves. Thankful for the little victories along the way, we are closer than ever to a positive outcome. I know it. I believe it. I see it happening.

Working in the garden, long walks and playing with my grandchildren are my salvation these days. Cooking 'with' the Happy Herbivore and spending long sessions at the piano...all these things help release the anger and frustration, carrying me back to a place of peace within...as does the everyday goings on in the Village Here and Now.

Taking the link locked up my browser (for some reason).

The news sites have their own vids (as opposed to youtube) and are much more difficult.

I suggest going to the "Sandbox" thread that ViralSpiral mentioned and ask for help from the mods.

I would further suggest doing a search and see if that same video was posted on youtube.

If all else fails then you can simply provide the link and ask members to go there to watch.

I went to John's link and read the transcripts. If it makes some people think then some good will come out of it.
On the whole it only confirms to me how flawed all mainstream thinking is.
People who accept their parents' religion without questioning, as well as those who react against societal indoctrination...when they could have included some Avalonians on the panel.
The part I found most interesting is where Richard Dawkins was quoted as saying the term 'atheist' was preferable to non- theist, or non-believer in God, as it had more shock value.
Because that's what atheism is all about...the kneejerk reaction against absurd religious beliefs. And maybe that is it's true purpose. But it can never be he final statement on reality.
Because when a person has a mystical experience which can take them to discover their multi-dimensionality and leave them without any doubt about the existence of a higher being then for that person the atheist is no more than a blind person who swears that no such thing as the sun exists.

Wow, what a story!
And it does happen here in Costa Rica as well, except maybe no one has had it come full circle like that couple. What has happened frequently is that police uniforms get stolen and the thieves confiscate vehicles when they catch people speeding.

The psychology of law breakers and law enforcement types is quite similar, the only difference is in their spiritual direction.
That direction can turn at any given moment due to free will.
Depends on how firmly someone believes in the eleventh commandment which is 'never get caught'.

Earlier this month, 7 years after Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans Police Department officers were tried and sentenced for the brutal murders of innocent citizens with assault rifles, among them AK-47's. We have lots of time. It's not that hard to learn.
You just have to answer three simple questions with a yes or no answer.
1) do you know what a right mouse button is?
2) have you ever heard the terms copying and pasting?
3) when you answer a post on the Avalon forum and compose your reply can you see the same variety of little icons above your text box that I see?
(one of which is an envelope, another is a tiny tree inside a frame, and the last three say (from left to right) 'youTube', then a musical note, and the PDF icon right at the end)
Just answer yes or no to these questions, then we can go from there. By the way, nice to see you back.

Just found this for you 33's in one of my books here. Birth force 33...
This is a Master variation of 6, and can only apply to a Birth force number (the total of all your birthday numbers:day, month and year). ...spot on, and I just discovered I am married to a 33 as well, and the description fits him also, him being a village doctor. He could have easily become a high-earning specialist, but decided that being a GP was more service oriented.

There is a further refinement of this process. My birth path is an 8. However, it is derived from a 2 and 6. My wife is an 8 from 3 and 5. These numbers that compose your birth path give clues to aid in how one might walk their path. SO, although my wife and I share a common birth path we have very different influences guiding us along it. Also my even numbers have a feel that is different than that of odd numbers.

What is interesting about the master numbers if their focus on the number that composes them. A 22 has very strong 2 energies for the four path as opposed to the 1 and 3 combo. The balance of 6 is trickier being made of two odd numbers with a strong emphasis on expression and being in the forefront when it might naturally want to find a less exposed environment.

I also understand the alone thing.
I spend almost all my free time alone, in my room, at the computer or my projects...or writing.
I'll go out to the living room every so often and spend an hour or so with Val. But the TV bugs me and her shows in particular outrage me, so the visits are often cut short.
She'll come in here from time to time but the internet cannot hold her interest long and after a short chat she'll leave.
Oh ya, nowadays I watch a lot of movies on the net (only if they're free) and I like to watch documentaries while I'm working on my projects.

the army in his 20s and spent two years in the
psychiatric hospital ward, which he later drew upon
for his role in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

The Cat’s Back!

One of the first major visions in year 2001, was a video clip that appeared mysteriously on the wall of a friend’s sitting room in England. There was no projector or DVD player in the room.

I watched a 45 minute film in 4-color of a cat fighting dark forces in a forest, and at the end of the film the cat triumphed, it had cleared the area.

Then humans came into the forest to see the calm and beauty the cat had created, there were lavender plants growing all around the forest floor. The sun shone through the trees.

A few days ago the cat came back.

I was sitting by the fire and it jumped out of the Aluna worlds into my lap, and a second version of the cat appeared simultaneously to my right. I’ve seen it several times since. I reckon the cat’s fight is over, and the people will now come as it is safe; the outside world is getting less and less safe all the time.

The cat’s forest symbolized a Camelot to me, a dimension where peaceful, kind humans could exist and grow in safety. Let’s see what happens in the next few months.

Things are becoming very bright.

Freedom and Jeff...

“Freedom and I have been together 11 years this summer. She came in as a baby in 1998 with two broken wings. Her left wing doesn't open all the way even after surgery, it was broken in 4 places. She's my baby. When Freedom came in she could not stand and both wings were broken. She was emaciated and covered in lice. We made the decision to give her a chance at life, so I took her to the vet's office. From then on, I was always around her. We had her in a huge dog carrier with the top off, and it was loaded up with shredded newspaper for her to lay in. I used to sit and talk to her, urging her to live, to fight; and she would lay there looking at me with those big brown eyes. We also had to tube feed her for weeks. This went on for 4-6 weeks, and by then she still couldn't stand. It got to the point where the decision was made to euthanize her if she couldn't stand in a week. You know you don't want to cross that line between torture and rehab, and it looked like death was winning. She was going to be put down that Friday, and I was supposed to come in on that Thursday afternoon. I didn't want to go to the center that Thursday, because I couldn't bear the thought of her being euthanized; but I went anyway, and when I walked in everyone was grinning from ear to ear. I went immediately back to her cage; and there she was, standing on her own, a big beautiful eagle. She was ready to live. I was just about in tears by then. That was a very good day. We knew she could never fly, so the director asked me to glove train her. I got her used to the glove, and then to jesses, and we started doing education programs for schools in western Washington . We wound up in the newspapers, radio (believe it or not) and some TV. Miracle Pets even did a show about us. In the spring of 2000, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I had stage 3, which is not good (one major organ plus everywhere), so I wound up doing 8 months of chemo. Lost the hair – the whole bit. I missed a lot of work. When I felt good enough, I would go to Sarvey and take Freedom out for walks. Freedom would also come to me in my dreams and help me fight the cancer. This happened time and time again. Fast forward to November 2000 the day after Thanksgiving, I went in for my last checkup. I was told that if the cancer was not all gone after 8 rounds of chemo, then my last option was a stem cell transplant. Anyway, they did the tests; and I had to come back Monday for the results. I went in Monday, and I was told that all the cancer was gone. So the first thing I did was get up to Sarvey and take the big girl out for a walk. It was misty and cold. I went to her flight and jessed her up, and we went out front to the top of the hill. I hadn't said a word to Freedom, but somehow she knew. She looked at me and wrapped both her wings around me to where I could feel them pressing in on my back (I was engulfed in eagle wings), and she touched my nose with her beak and stared into my eyes, and we just stood there like that for I don't know how long . That was a magic moment. We have been soul mates ever since she came in. This is a very special bird. On a side note: I have had people who were sick come up to us when we are out, and Freedom has some kind of hold on them. I once had a guy who was terminal come up to us and I let him hold her. His knees just about buckled and he swore he could feel her power course through his body. I have so many stories like that. I never forget the honor I have of being so close to such a magnificent spirit as Freedom.”

Yes that bird is a serious healer what a gift to
be her human helper that must be .

Big day for me today, had a few important teachings
in journeys. One was when I was trying to figure out
a way to help with my father who has had surgery and
there were complications . I don't have permission
so I asked my team what I can do that is not intruding.
I was told to go and sit with him and breathe with him
because you are well and strong it will raise the vibration
in the room. So i did this for a good 30 mins, sent my
spirit out to where he was and sat with him and
breathed with the intention to transfigure and cycle
up the vibration in the room . I was also shown how
he is not living in tune with cycles but more linear.
And that he needed to sit in nature under a tree if
possible to help him attune back to the cycle of life .
So I added a large oak to the scene . Now I let go
and let the intentions manifest .

It must have been a strong healing as I was very
tired afterwards which doest normally happen unless
the other person is very depleted . And being my Faher
too with our relevant history issues I was probably also
processing old energies myself .
So now it's big sleep time for me to recharge
Tomorrow is a me day I'm thinking

Here and now, I heard the news that Levon Helms passed away today to cancer. My heart and much love and mercy goes out to him and his family, and to all those who suffer from cancer. Ulli, don't understand your chairs picture but it reminded me of my office seating arrangment. My office swivel chair broke maybe a half year ago now. Not having the funds to replace it and since I spend many, many hours a day at my computer, I improvised (which is my strong suit, my forte). I took two of our kitchen chairs and a footstool, placed them as I wanted them and strapped them together with bungee cords and them strapped a heavy wool blanket on top to make it all even. It's quite comfortable but a little hard (got callouses on my tail bone).

Waiting to have a bone density scan done, it's a
routine test ..
I assist my sister with some of her affairs. When her doctor asked if she should give my sister a bone density scan, I said no. I verified with the doctor that the primary out come of such a test was either (1) no problem found - bones OK, or (2) bone density low - prescribe a medicine. From what I had already read of the medicine usually prescribed for low bone density, I had decided against ever taking that medicine for myself or my sister.

I find this to be a useful way to consider such tests. I ask what I would do if the test came back "positive" (which usually means to the doctor that they found an other opportunity to write a prescription -- positive for pharmaceutical income at least.)

Need a little help from the village.

Just got back from taking my big dog to the emergency vet hospital. He had a temperature of a 105, has a severe infection and celphalitis on 2 of his legs. The fever is finally starting to go down but it is still touch and go for him. His hind left leg is extremely swollen. While i was out of town he got into a fight with a large raccoon trying to protect 2 smaller dogs from it.
He is such a big sweet lovable guy. Would you guys say a prayer for him and send some healing his way? His name is white tail.

10.28 am. Children at school and college. I'm sitting typing in what seems like silence until i listen. I can hear the clock ticking and the dog snoring, almost in unison. Traffic noises from outside and a neighbour talking. Blackbirds and crows are in fine voice on the roof and in the garden. I can smell hot tea.

Today i have no work and i plan to go for a long walk in nature. I wonder how the horse chestnut trees are as they come into leaf - last year they had some sort of blight on their leaves.

My dog just woke up and is having a drink, she always drinks in threes "Slurp slurp slurp... Slurp slurp slurp..." She just walked over to me and dribbled cold water on my bare knee!

The sky is overcast but it's very calm and still. I am feeling very peaceful today, but with a tinge of excitement.

One of those alternative prevention meds, especially to help strengthen the hips, would be to bang against a wall, regularly.
Gently, of course. I learnt this in bio-energy class.
Can be done while in the shower.
If one were to bang each hip joint with ten such knocks every day, the bone mass would maintain it's density.

Also helpful could be the knowledge of what one's micro architecture should look like, ideally. The picture on the left shows healthy bone mass.
Keep this image in mind. Fill in the gaps; this is where visualization techniques can come in handy. Eat lots of leafy greens.

Astrid, sesame seeds / sesame butter (tahini) and hummus contain loads of useable calcium. Also dark leafy greens like kale and spinach. You probably already know this.

My mom's doctor told her she has 'young bones' because she has always worked so hard... Ulli, your hip-smacking idea is good. And visualization! I never thought of doing that, but of course it has a positive effect. Thanks for the visuals.

The only noise coming from the roaring river outside...as the rainy season has begun with heavy downpours during afternoons, and now the surrounding mountains are sending all that water down into our valley from where it is rushing over billions of rocks towards the Atlantic coast.

The test was more to get a base line.
My mother has osteo, and i went into early menopause at 37,
which is a big danger for bone loss, added to that i wont take HRT.
BUT, in my 20s and 30s i was a gym junkie and did weights all the time, lucky for me it turns out,
as having good muscle mass helps to keep your bones healthy.

Yes i have loads of greens and picked fresh with my green smoothies in the morning,
i have both Kale and Spinach seedlings ready to plant right now.
And also i take good protein sources both Chlorella and Spirulina. I'm sure I'm covered, it was
more a to be sure test as its one of the few things i have to keep an eye on with my health.

I'm trying to up my plant Estrogens atm with more flaxseed oil, as i know my levels are
pretty low. It's tricker when it happens to you under 40 as it can have all sorts of side effects
other than the standard post meno ones. Hormones are needed for general health and not
just repro health.

Astrid, I didn't know flaxseed oil is good for plant estrogen ... another reason I'm glad I take it. It's good for so much.

At the same time I'm slowly realizing i probably have borrelia=lymedisease. I've got several symptoms like extreme fatigue, increased bodytemperature without having a cold, itching eyes, a lot of mucus, no appetite, depression and panicattacks among other things. I've browesed the internet for information. I had two tick bites this summer but never noticed any rash more than irritded skin as i tried to get the ticks head out. I never connected the stomach problems i started to have even before the cold and sinusitis that now have developed into many strange symptoms. I've been checking out all possibilities to get the proper cure since that's difficult to get in Sweden and i'm starting to take a homeopatic remedy from tuesday on. It cured my friend who got a tick bite and an extreme severe borrelia some years ago. If it doesn't help i'm having an appointment in one month to see an expert on the island Åland (belongs to Finland but they talk Swedish) near my fathers place.

I'm peeping in now and then but don't have the energy to go into heavy subjects and perhaps not too funny ones either.
I'm looking forward to be cured and to become my old self again.

I have a friend who went to India last year and spent 9 days in an ashram with a guru, who's message was about moving to the beat. In her stay she was required to stand in the presence of dance music, with a rhythmic beat, and shake or move for 8 (!) hours daily. She said that her body released 'tons' of mucus, that she didn't even know was there, during her 9 day stay. She also lost 12.5 pounds. She is in her 70s, and losing weight, or moving for 8 hours straight, is usually not done by people in this age bracket.

I also have another wonderful friend who is 74 and dances every Friday night until after midnight. It is the highlight of her week.
