Howdy folks,
A question was put to me yesterday that I would like to put to you all.
If 'they' suddenly put you in charge of the world today, what would you do? Everybody has to do what you say, no exceptions. What you decide goes, your decision is final.
My reply to the person who asked was as follows:
"Don't ask me, you don't want to know what I think"
The person who asked me this is a conservative christian, very much still programmed into the system.
But here on Avalon I will tell you just a little of what I would do if I was in charge of the world.
1) All wars stop immediately. Subsequent dismantling of the military industrial complex.
2) Radical overhaul of wall street and corporate 'person hood'.
3) All career politicians are now unemployed. You may go back to your original occupation. Oops- I gutted your cushy little job in the corporate world. Guess you will have to figure it out like the rest of us 'stupid chickens'.
4) Radical overhaul of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries to reflect an emphasis on holistic medicine and treatments that do not serve a dual purpose to fleece the general population of it's money while enriching those who care nothing about the health of people. And since there is no need to make money from making people sick, we will bring forward all suppressed cures.
5) Radical overhaul of the education system to encourage all people to become what they were born to become. Gone are the days where a talented mind is programmed then denied further education because they don't have the money. Each student is taught in a way that best suits and encourages the individual. And since we won't be paying for wars any more, education is FREE.
6) A very radical overhaul of the banking system. First, no more foreclosures. Second, all debt is immediately forgiven and abolished. If banks wish to operate in the short term, they will do so with a very limited ability to collect money from the people, until such time as we transition out of a monetary based society. The likes of Rockefeller and Rothschild will have very special jobs working on Uncle Sidious' carrot farm- Product testing and Quality control. Yes, they will have carrots shoved up their noses on a daily basis!
7) I would appoint a group to engineer and implement a transition from a scarcity based economy to a resource base economy.
8) I have some bad news for the oil and gas industry. We will transition from oil and gas to free energy. Everything will run on free energy- cars, houses, buildings. The oil and gas big wigs will be joining their banking friends on the carrot farm.
9) We will implement sweeping changes to the manufacturing of goods and services. Planned obsolescence is a thing of the past. Every good that is manufactured, is built to last as long as is possible. A vehicle will last 100 years or more and rarely break down.
10) Remove myself as leader because I do not believe in leaders. I would implement a governing council to oversee all human activities on earth. Those who sit on the council are not career politicians, but rather the best, brightest and wisest minds of our kind. They do not hold these positions indefinitely and there are no extra perks for being on the council. These positions are for those who care more about the planet than they do their own self interests.
Okay Avalon, over to you. What would you do?

I would make clones of all of our moderators here and put them in charge of all the other forums on the web.
I would organize volunteers corps to go into all the hospitals and administer foot massages.
I would hunt down all the psychos who are cruel to animals and children.
I would get rid of the garment industry...especially those that make uncomfortable clothing, and retrain the staff to do personalized service like in the old days, made to measure, with fittings.
I would put drugs in the drinking water that get rid of paranoia.
I would make everyone go to my new thread and report to me what's happening, here and now.
No wonder Allah demanded five prayer sessions a day, it is such fun getting everyone's news!!!!!

It took about 60 pages to write it all down, and I felt like I was just getting started: The Reset Button (http://www.ResetButton2011.org)
Note that what I wrote was Ameri-centric, not global. When faced with the prospect of actually making a difference, I understand that I do have control over my self, thus the biggest, most radical, positive changes that I can make are personal - and by my example and my interaction with others, the changes can ripple out from there. The other end of the spectrum (well, planet-wide, not Universal!) would be having a significant impact globally. I think very few of us are or will ever be in that position (note the word significant, which I realize is relative.)
So, if I believe I probably cannot directly have a profound global (macrocosm) impact , and though I know I most certainly do have the ability to make profound personal (microcosm) impact - but am not satisfied that it is enough - then I needed to make a decision on how far out into the macrocosmic direction I believe I do have a chance to make a profound impact. I decided "national" (for me), and that is why The Reset Button concept and scope was conceived.
I also recognize that profound changes in one of the current key nation-states will have global impact. With the global war machine, large segments of the global banking and multinational corporate infrastructure centered in the US, the US is certainly a key nation-state to change if trying to affect the globe.

Well.
First thing is that I am not qualified for the role.
Second thing is that mankind isn't ready for the sort of things I would do, much along the lines of Charlies post.
So, I would consult people who are more in tune with spiritual teachings for guidance.
Then I would come up with a plan.

Think you've got it pretty much covered there Charlie.
A few additional initatives perhaps :
Discourage the following of set religions - basically de-brainwash and offer enlightenment training of some kind
Equal opportunites for all who contribute to a better mankind and a safer, cleaner Earth
Create a Council of Light to assist in awakening the unawaken
To sleep perchance to dream

I would build a crap load of soviet style block housing and first and foremost make sure everyone had a place to live.
I would subsidize welfare programs and unemployment and replace it with a guaranteed income system - where if you don't have a job you are still guaranteed an income. I see this as putting power back in the hands of the employees rather than the employer/marketplace. You could pull unemployment at an income match level for up to 4 months; after this you can switch to the guaranteed income system although it would not be an income match. It would be something like $300 a week. (you could also completely remove minimum wage with this since if an employer didn't pay more than the guaranteed income you simply wouldn't work for them + small business would do better as the lower class section of society would be constantly moving money through the system - job or not.)
I would not force - however - i would overly promote no more than two children per family with those sappy commercial styles they used to use to dissuade people from drugs.
Marijuana would be absolutely legal to grow/sell/use.
I'd remove the electoral vote system and make it so people could vote online using there SS numbers. I would also completely disband the political party system and private funding. If you wish to run for a political position you will be given the format to do so on public channels. No political ads, campaigning, pacs, etc allowed. You simply have to come on television and talk about your views on the world, country, people, life - no tailored issues or questions.
Anyone who wants to be a farmer would be given a farm and taught what they needed to know and be well taken care of for doing it.
There would be less meat and it would be more expensive due to the land use it requires to produce.
Oh and computer parts would be standardized. No proprietary devices. (e.g. a phone charger could charge any phone, you could buy a laptop shell and change all the different pieces out independent of manufacturer, etc)

I actually am in charge and I intent to let the Great Spirit work through me.
I wouldn't like to impose any plan on people, just by being decent and setting a proper example, people become decent.
Dao De Jing, Chapter 3:
If you overesteem great men,
people become powerless through rivalry and envy.
If you prize high treasures that are difficult to obtain,
people begin to steal.
Not to show them what is likely to excite their desires
is the way to keep their minds from disorder.
The Master leads
by emptying people's minds
and filling their cores,
by weakening their ambition
and strengthening their bones.
He helps people lose everything
they know, everything they desire,
and creates confusion
in those who think that they know.
Practice not-doing,
and everything will fall into place.

Hi guys/gals, hope all is well...
It's good to see threads like this, it shows initiative and the passion to make changes that we all know is needed.
However, I wouldn’t want that responsibility if the populace isn’t willing to be responsible too.
If they were willing…..
The first thing I would do is get rid of the money system. Simply because it creates arrogance, greed, and false entitlement. Everyone will be responsible and will learn the values of working together. I will make food, education, and healthcare free. Create a database with everyone’s interests/talents/skills/desires/ideas. All major employment / jobs around the world will go into this database.
Work is not mandatory but inspirational. People check the database for listing of work they are good at, or are willing to assist in. Jobs like policemen, firemen, educators, farmers, health aids, sanitation workers will get honors/recognition/declaration to go into the civil humanitarian museum of history (or something similar), along with other perks.
All offenders/criminals will be judge by the people and the most severe punishments would be banishment to secluded islands to live with other offenders….where they will be temporarily or permanently excluded from the productive society.
This model would be the one I’ll improve and expand on… It’s simple, promotes free will and expression and most of all exposes individuals traits that will be put to use to benefit the whole…in one way or another.
I’ll rather a world where everyone does what they want, when and where they want, a world where everyone can offer their talents in a productive manner. It would be very interesting to see what type of society we will have when we are not oppressed and force to take jobs for the sole purpose of putting food on the table. As of now... we live in an organize slave driven world masked in the illusion of freedom. Where education is not only hard to obtain due to its high cost, but people are con into educating themselves to be supporters/employees of the flawed system currently in place. I want people to be the best they can be, but that can only happen by giving them every opportunity to do so.
Why (humans) are born into slavery use to be a mystery to me. But now I know that we were tricked, disempowered and purposely dumb down to cater to the wills of a very few. Imo, I think it’s remarkable that they (the elitist) even got this far... I know the TV/Radio helped them a lot. It keeps them divided (in the house), mis guided and judgmental based off of televised lies, propaganda. I know the media is the favorite tool to school pools of fools. Thankfully, we live and learn, right? At times we even develop the courage to do what’s right for each other instead of just for self. Our true selves can be seen in the direst of times. So in that regard, I do see hope…and think such a system (as I stated) will do wonders for the specie. I don’t doubt it…to do so will only defeat the purpose. Everything we see in life has come from inspiration and optimism…so our collective future deserves the same opportunity.
Peace

This is a fun thing to toss around, Charlie!
Here's mine:
EVERYTHING is free. NO ACCEPTIONS.....Everyone has a home run by free energy technologies. And food's aplenty for everyone. There's NO currency because our focus will be on other types of rewards, say spiritual rewards. The focus would be on improving ourselves....Teach people that greed and materiality caused most of our problems in the past. Work together to solve problems with no hurries the way this Obama administration seems to be doing; and create a world of peace, love and spirituality.
It would be taught to all Earth humans that ALL LIFE is sacred. Everyone's bloodlines would be considered sacred, but none will be above anyone else's....No more monarchies or aristocrats or power-mongerers. All beings would be equal and unique at the same time.
The only need for the military would be for planetary defense ONLY. NO further creations of weapons of any kind will be developed. If a "weapon" has to be developed for planety defense, then develop something that would capture a perceived enemy, not destroy them.... No more spies organizations like CIA, NSA, etc....
Find out how the Andromedans do their holographic system and implement it for ourselves. Everyone would have a say over matters and not just a few. No more career politicians or ruling families....EVER AGAIN....No more power in the hands of the few.....
If ever a planetary emergency arises, then people are chosen for that mission only. And the people will decide how to deal with the emergency....
If there's a need for interplanetary embassadors, then they would be unanimously chosen by the Earth's population for a certain duration.

Don't think I'd be able to cure the worlds ills, and I probably don't really know what I'm talking about, but here's some things that I feel would be important:
1. Better education for everyone. I feel the only way to prevent corruption is to have every person actually know and care about what's happening. (atleast, they would have the chance too) Every kid would be taught how to critically think. Philosophy would become a mandatory subject, starting at the end of primary school, following off of math and english. I would move school away from the factory model and begin to create something that can better suit the needs of all types of individuals and interests. Kids would be taught to think for themselves.
2. Personal religious and spiritual beliefs are fine, but I would push for some way of making it legally wrong to indoctrinate children with ignorant world views. I would like to see religious and spiritual beliefs move from the serious place it holds now, to more of an 'artform' that anyone can speculate on and contribute too. Generally, these things are emotional, to the point I actually feel the words 'spiritual' and 'emotional' are completely interchangeable. Emotional understanding I would like to see come forward in humanity, grounded in reality. I think this is a key problem in the world. We seem too have one half that loves cold logic, and another half that loves irrational intuition. I would do everything in my power to bridge these gaps, I feel that this division is the biggest one humanity has to overcome. I would also like to bring morality to a place where it is based on logic, reason and emotional understanding, thereafter closing the gaps between 'Law' and 'Morality'.
3. If media can be used to dumb people down, then it goes without question that it can be used to wisen them up. Exactly how this would be done I haven't really fleshed out. I imagine the first step would be instilling real responsibility in our media creators.
4. Would set up some projects to 'Green the earth'. Humans have the power to both destroy and help this planet flourish in many ways. I would like to see the potential of the possitive side be fully realized.
5. This is a tough one, but, we must find a way to prevent profit from undermining key priorities, and stop rewarding unacceptable behavior. I'm not confident that completely abolishing the monetary system is the way to do this yet, I welcome the possibility in the future, but point 1. would have to have been in full effect for atleast 2 generations first. I would hire the top minds of the time to work towards a feasible solution to this problem.
6. Rehabilitation > punishment.
Those are the major things I can think of from the top of my head.

Well Charlie, that would make me a dictator, and IMHO nobody on this planet is qualified for that job, or to resist it's temptations. No matter which one of us got the job, I can guarantee you we would eventually wind up right back in the spot we find ourselves in now. The only long term positive impact I can imagine having on the people of the world in this scenario would be to set an example by humbly stepping down from the position, and go home to be of service to my friends and family.
Cheers,

Assuming I had absolute power to do the following, here are a few things I would do (in no particular order of importance) before I recused myself and stepped down:
• Stop all wars and conflicts
• Eliminate all financial systems (i.e., make everything free)
• Eliminate starvation and poverty
• Implement a totally free planetary society (no money, no debt, no ownership, no borders)
• Replace all conventional energy resources with free energy resources
• Ensure everyone had adequate shelter, food, water, energy, and medical care
• Eliminate all laws save one that is inviolate: “Do No Harm”
• Eliminate all governments and controlling organizations
• Institute a series of elected guiding groups with no authority, but whose job it is to recommend where resources are needed to provide the basic necessities of life for their constituents (i.e., at the local, city, state, national, world level)
• Ensure all businesses and workers continue with what they were doing (initially) with no pay and no bills. Once the new “free” system was providing adequate goods and services for all, people would be free to work where and when they pleased
• Change the education system to start evaluating children’s strengths from the start and guide them into a field that would maximize their potential and happiness
• Ensure that all who can work and contribute to society do and all those who can’t are properly cared for
• Ensure there is plenty of time for everyone to spend with their families, friends, hobbies, whatever they desire
• Ensure that everyone is free to do and practice whatever they please as long as it does not violate the Golden Rule of “Do No Harm”
• Ensure a sustainable future for all based on truth, love, compassion, cooperation, respect and responsibility
Imagine a world of true and complete freedom; where no one lacked for anything, where you could virtually go anywhere, anytime and do anything you wanted, where competition was used to provide the best products and services for all life forms and the planet and not to garner personal wealth and privileges at the expense of those life forms and planet, where everyone lived in peace and harmony and respected each other’s belief systems, where there was no need or desire to hate or control others, where you could contribute to society by doing what you loved to do and did best, where we didn’t need governments, prisons, death penalties, or myriad restrictive and controlling laws because everyone understood, respected and honored each other’s role and responsibility to ensure their utopian existence.
I know that the naysayers are going to say that such a world could never exist because humans are not capable of such an altruistic existence. And to that I say: How do you know? We’ve never had such a world so how could you possibly know how humans would react in it? Perhaps people fight, kill, lie, cheat, steal, hoard, etc. out of a belief that it is necessary for self-preservation. If so, perhaps eliminating the need to fight to survive (whether real or perceived), those people might behave much differently. I’m not talking about people who have some type of mental illness here. Those people have to be dealt with no matter what type of world we have. Further, I contend that it is much more insane to create a world of rival governments with millions of laws in an effort to “protect our people” from those “other crazy people” than it is to create a world where we are free from financial (or other) restrictions so we could concentrate the best minds and resources available to help find a cure for those people with a valid mental illness.
Anyway, as I’ve said in other blogs relating to this issue, this really isn’t the forum to adequately or properly address a subject of this magnitude, but, perhaps, it may give some more food for thought.

Bravo, Fred!
My thoughts exactly. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Cincinnatus, who, after fulfilling the commission to be dictator of Rome during a critical period, relinquished power and returned to his plow in the fields. He behaved very nearly as Fred suggests. Quite honorable and the only reasonable course, as I see it.

All offenders/criminals will be judge by the people and the most severe punishments would be banishment to secluded islands to live with other offenders….where they will be temporarily or permanently excluded from the productive society.
How about rehabilitation for all offenders and a true chance for their own enlightenment and redemption? Nobody gets thrown away anymore, all are important.
Most infractions when viewed properly are part of the learning experience. Should it really be a crime to learn? Would it not be better to have a system that says "hey there, how about we help you figure it out" - instead of throwing an individual into an institution which will only serve to make them a career criminal.
My bet is that within a generation of implementation of the new society ala CeeTee9, crime would fall to near zero.

So the first thing i would do is have Ex VP Dick Cheney personally be held responsible for cleaning out my oil boiler system several times without a protective mask, it really is a crappy and dirty job to say the least, and every time i have to clean it, i think of him that P/O/S and all his corrupt croanies, that are suppressing free technology and new clean energy devices from us. Nice thread Charlie, And I concur with your list !
In the spirit of fun, here's what I'd do.
1) Round up ALL politicians, put them on a barge, tow it into the middle of the Atlantic, and scuttle it.
2) Order all television sets to be destroyed.
3) Ban car alarms
4) Remove all staute laws from the books worldwide.
5) Ban the following annoying things : sticky labels which you can't remove, scratchy nylon garment labels that are sewn into the garment itsself, toilet paper and paper tissues that fall apart in your hands, gel pens which run out after 3 weeks, alcohol-free beer.
6) Ban anything and everything which isn't what it puports to be.
7) Totally prohibit proselytising religions.,
8) Appoint a council of elders to take over so I can retire and live the life of Riley
That should do !

I concur, banishment was just a suggestion for those that refuse rehab. It's for repeat offenders, when nothing else works but they still prove to be a menace to society. Their departure is also not permanent, but the view of our healthy flourishing civilization from across the waters should entice them to want to rejoin society, hopefully... where everyone is a leader and contributor in their own way.
