Last Saturday night I had a doozy. I'm sure most people on this forum have heard of the "shadow people". I've seen them before but it's been awhile. Anyway here's the low down. I've got a very nice comfortable couch in my living room and I do fall asleep on it. I know every corner and square inch of my living room as I'm sure most people know their own like that. Anyway I'm laying with my head facing south I was asleep dreaming I was on my couch laying in the dark as I normally do. Even though it's dark I could see. Now all of a sudden I started moaning in my dream, one of these no one can here you moan or scream dreams, all of a sudden a "dark shadow being" came out of the wall at the north end of my couch where my feet where and turned around and grabbed my legs. Man I was froze stiff on that couch then all of a sudden I could move. I grab that thing and we commenced to tussling then I woke up and I was laying on the couch. I jumped up very quick and turned the light on. If that thing would have been there I would have died right then of a heart attack. Point is this. I guess having a nightmare in your sleep that causes you to have a heart attack and die would be considered a natural death. I guess there is no way for you to really know but I'm sure people do die like this. The "shadow people" are tough that's for sure......

I have a strong feeling that this "shadow person" is your "shadow self" letting you know it's going to drag you down when the time comes if you don't go ahead and deal with it *now*.

I personally do not think dying in one's sleep is related to nightmares. It's almost never an outside influence in dreams, unless sorcery of some kind is involved.

Shadow people are the product of a waking vision, similar to seeing auras and such. Shadowy figures in dreams will almost always represent some suppressed portion of your own consciousness.
