I found this on Red Ice Creations. Sounds to me like the Bankers can just make up anything they want and countries are stuck.... :der:

Hm.... I don't recall any of these talks during the join the EU craze! Only what good it will be that you can travel w/o a passport! Join the EU zone and you can leave the passport home... major, major advantage!

And now we hear:

"Neither exit nor expulsion from the euro area is possible, according to the Lisbon treaty under which participation in the euro area is irrevocable," he added, referring to the European Union’s rule-book.

What!? I guess they forgot to add a termination clause to said treaty...

Earlier the same day, the Dutch prime minister, his economy, finance and foreign ministers outlined proposals for the creation of a specially appointed European commissioner who would be given the power to take over the economy of heavily indebted member states and ultimately kick a state out of the euro.

Are these people serious?! So what? you get the power to trash the economy of a country and when you're done you finally "kick a state out!". Now is OK to leave the union if you don't have any more resources to spend. And this commissioner is appointed, not voted!

Slowly but surely you will need special approval to get out and take the paper from the mail box from some stranger "commissioner" you don't even know by name.

I bet they designed the EU to fail economically. And they won't ever kick any member states out...they'll find a way to take them over instead....

I could be wrong though (and would be good if I am)...
