A SOLDIER. Between the security of childhood and the insecurity of a second childhood,we find a fascinating group of men called SOLDIERS. They come in all shapes and sizes,in trucks,in boats,in aircraft,in pubs,in love, and always in debt. Girls love them,Towns tolerate them, their enemies fear them and the government shafts them. A soldier is the protector of the earth after a dozen pints, has the speed of a gazelle and the heart of a lion. As well as the verbal skills of an raconteur and the aspirations of Casanova. Among some of his interests are females, girls, woman, ladies, dames, birds and the opposite sex. He likes to spend his money on fun, beer, women and the rest he squanders foolishly.A Soldier is a magical creature, you can lock him out of your home but not out of your heart, you can wipe him of the nominal role but not from your mind. He is your good for nothing bundle of worries, but all your shattered dreams become reality when he comes home looks at you with those big eyes and says "Hi Georgeous Get Your Kit Off I Love You

Hi Dave,
Interesting thread....I was a soldier and a secret squirrel for a portion of my past,
I was also a bit of a casanova ( in new zealand I was referred to by soldier mates
as dog nuts and YOU MALE ****)

Hi ,Thanks for your reply I to was a secret squirrel for part of my 30 years service with the British Army but long before you were born was actually seconded for 2 years as an instructor at the training school in Perth great place great people. You still look like a casanova and in pretty good shape. As you say Memories.....Memories for me a life time ago (but what a life) Plenty more threads about the Army coming up dont think they will get read much but then we are a different breed to the Civvies.
