i heard in the news that they're gonna ban facebook forever here. so sad that there's so much hate in this world that facebook does not want to do anything about
well.... i thought of only you to admin my page if anything happens. I'm gonna add you as admin to all my pages so that i can email you stuff and you add it on them. at least I'll have an audience elsewhere in the world. my new myspace account is amy hopegood musician. of course i'll add u there as well.
they'll probably block twitter also. it's all because of politics and it has nothing to do with religion it's just a lame excuse.

I hope FACE BOOK is banned in the US,

every user of it is unwittingly building a detailed profile on themselfs for the CIA, check out the orgins of FB,, look in to the details.... if you have a facebook, at least be aware that a profile is built on you and any abborant behavior to the patern you've established WILL BE FLAGGED and ALL of it is used for data mining...

here's a hint of how its done www.google.com/trends understand the power of that tool (trends), did you know that google/trends could predict flu outbreaks DAYS before the CDC even knew they were starting in a particular region.. and YOU (generalization) WILLING SUBMIT INFORMATION TO THIS MACHINE???

now apply that to twitter & how "protests" are being orginized using tools that the very machine they fight against uses AGAINST the protesters... its F'n breautifull in a Huxley sort of way (brave new world...)

And so long as the tools are out there, I will use them for as long as they are available,
I will not cower from the machine, like most have, I have stood up before and will stand before it again.
Especially when my friends are in need.

To Ban something implies consent to their authority. Its not a pick and choose kind of thing when it comes to opposing authority over freedom of choice.

You cant force people to be free.

Indeed this is the right mindset. This is where society is heading anyways. It is the split between those who keep secrets and those who believe in sharing more of themselves. Even if that means being "vulnerable". I think this is an important thing to face. The CIA type minded people will find that information overload theory is something they cannot avoid. Basically things get harder for them as they get easier for us in terms of information exchange and openness.

I hope you see my post as a note of caution and nothing else... the reliance of "twiter protests" is very scary, we are becoming reliant on tools that are not ours in the first place..

I want to see LESS USE OF THEIR TOOLS and MORE creation of our OWN TOOLS.

we have the mechanical devices to do so, we need a distributed FACE BOOK, we need a distributive self sustaining cell phone network.

did any of you know there's apps out there that allow cell phones to work point to point with out a cell tower? what are you going to do when cell towers are shut down, face book is cut off and twitter doesn’t work?

my caution is this: take the idea and make it yours! because relying on their tools only gives them more power... you can be as righteous as you want, but this fact still remains.

I bet Pakistan is afraid of the same kind of influence facebook has had in other countries... maybe they fear the youth rising up against them. That fear is justified while ever they stick within their arrogant mindset.

but unless someone out there can give us these devices, and make it happen (cuz i don't and I dont know any one else who does) then we still have what is out there and I am not afraid to use them.
