Unbelievable! :(
Yes, shame on them. And yet, we need to forgive them, for they dont truly know why they're doing it.

Very sad :( I have got an impression that those officers where some kind of probe. They took three people only and allowed to record it. I think they were not sent to tottally dismantle this protest in one swipe. They wanted to seed fear and aggression. Not good if protesters will fall for it... If they do police has finished it's job...
And policemen were totally focused on their job and not preocupied with the public at all. Like robots...
All this people need some positive thoughts now. I send mine right now...
I feel very humble for these brave people in my distant location...

Kathy, it is good for this protest they stayed peaceful. If they tried even to touch or throw anything at police this would be end of peaceful protest. Police would have a reason to "lawfuly" disperse dangerous agressively behaving crowd. This could be an action to provoke these people into agression... It will be all psyop now... Constantly... Things could get out of control any moment...
This policemen ignoring public were doing it on purpose. Don't you feel angry, intimidiated and helpless when somebody ignores you? I do...
We really should suport these protesters spiritually... To send them courage, understanding and much much love...

i reckon thats about right, "they" are trying to sow the fear seed again. klight, i am not sure it is yet the right time to overwhelm the police, i do know what you mean though, if and when "they" say i have to have a microchip implanted to exist within society for example, then i will fight the police in the streets. i think many more people are needed to dismantle the police system. full power to everyone there, may the force be with you all !

The Irish in me recognises and likes those words.
They want people to do that though, so what do we do?
Don't give them what they want.
Play OUR game and not theirs and get them to react to US.

I have a feeling i would be the first they'd arrest and put into a truck.
Because i'd be screaming what the hell are you doing just standing there watching people? We have the right to arrest these wankers under citizens arrest, can you not see they're breaking the law by abusing, and inflicting unnecessary pain on these people? Where have your'e balls gone? Are you realy content to just sit back and video and mutter amongst yourselves that its wrong??? DO SOMETHING!
lol just read you're post sid.
I'm sorry but in my eyes, they've taken away our game (protesting peacefully). Therefor we need to take the ball back , as weve asked nicely on numerous times only to be spat in the face by them.

But, if each time they were overwhelmed by numbers, what then? And, if they were to bring out the army, then tactical manouevres would have to be involved, all done peacefully. No-one would need to be harmed as such.
When a viciously tempered animal is loose, it is captured without death or harm, unless of course the typical human reaction were to come to the fore, such as killing the animal.

(...)what exactly is our game ?
Love and peaceful disobedience. It worked fine for Ghandi in India. Why not in the West? Dirty Harry style works fine in Tell-lie-vision only. Not in the street. Ok it acctually works. But for a short while only ;) If we want permanent peace then only peace can earn it. Noviolence. But you can seat down on pavement and do nothing. You can play checkers or do crosswords or sudoku or sing if seating seems boring and "soft". If you do as they want you to do you lose their game. If it is going home or throwing stones or even shouting at them. Game Over. Insert coin.

ok, i agree, and now i know it, i shall live it. i will be the change i wish to see in this world. we could do with some of lord sid's legal expertise maybe though, i think he may have a few things he could "pull out of the bag"

Yes it is easy for me to talk like that from the "comfort" of my distance :(
And I am fully aware that peacefully protesting by siting on a pavement could get pretty painfull :( When you get hit with a baton in your face or sprayed with a tear gas or zapped you have to really have an ocean of love in your heart to not stand up and fight for your "rights" (forgive me Bob M...) or go home in tears and grudge and forget about this silly protest... I don't know if I would stand such pain myself... But if things get so dire that you have to go to the street and protest it meens that there is not much to loose anyway... I am certain I will have to go to the street and protest sooner or later. And when it comes I will try to not freak out...

Never underestimate their tendency for violence.
Whether you are violent or not, they are.

Our game is to assert our power, over theirs.
There are more of us than there is of them.
That is one thing they fear, numbers.

The situation with the break up of the empire isn't as it may appear, so I wouldn't credit anyone for getting India's ''independance'' until I was sure they actually are.

No, not all.
But they know this, more is often achieved by the threat of the use of force, than by the use of force itself.
Fear.

Lord Sid, you say " Our game is to assert our power, over theirs. There are more of us than there is of them. That is one thing they fear, numbers". And Ktlight, you say " They cannot be violent to us ALL but they can be dis-armed through and by numbers". So our numbers are our greatest strength, we all need to turn up physically to such events, as many of us that can in the world. like the movie "V for Vendetta". But what will be the catalyst for us all.

The answer to this puzzle is to study and confer with the people of Wisconsin and how they dealt with their problem of corruption in a very peaceful manner. They are still dealing with it but with guidance of the energies of good thought. Fear feeds them and anger unleaches them. Just be a force for good.....
Peace!!!!

It will be the zeitgeist, as happens from time to time and, when it does, there is an outflow of spirit felt by all. Fear is something we can overcome as individuals and collectively.

Hello :)
I am aware that being an officer in Big Apple is a tough job. You all have your duties and orders to obey. I always thought that police officers do the best they can to stay honest and at service to public. But today I was sadly disappointed with NYPD officers taking their actions against peaceful protesters on Wall Street, NYC. Please reconsider your actions in favor of common people who are just fed up with semi legal accounting games wrecking havoc globally. Please take notice. Whole World Is Watching at your hands now.
Best regards and wishing you all well.

I am ashamed of myself in light of this video and these brave peaceful protestors.
I have been studying how to get my life back on track using freeman techniques. But what keeps stopping me is twofold:
1) Time in jail
2) Repurcusions of being seen (singled out)
I will do something about this very soon as I truly have very little left to loose. So instead of clinging to a sinking ship, I'm going to dive overboard and start treading water (maybe even swim for shore)!
Yes, Peace is what I want. But ya gotta crack some eggs to make am omelet.

Thanks Kt for posting this but it just sickens me how brainwashed the police are?? Cant they see what they are doing is wrong?? Where are the rights to assemble peacfully for Human rights?/ How can these cops be so careless as to not connect with their inward humanity that connects us all! How Powerful is the constraints instilled in these officers, military or any other govt, establishment! We need them on our side to stand with us, humanity!!

I have been watching the OWS event via Livestream since the Saturday, wondering if they actually had the traction and the commitment to go the long haul. I have been very impressed by the way they are handling themselves, they are organized and have worldwide support. There is another related protest in San Diego CA as well (actually there are many around the world). The 'lame' stream media refuses to give it much air time. I thought I would share these links and info in hopes that others will spread the word and get involved.

I could be wrong but this may be the beginning of a true revolution. And there is a call going out for a global march in October:

According to their website, https://occupywallst.org/:
On September 21st, 2011, we stood in solidarity with Madrid, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Madison, Toronto, London, Athens, Sydney, Stuttgart, Tokyo, Milan, Amsterdam, Algiers, Tel Aviv, Portland and Chicago. Soon we will stand with Phoenix, Montreal, Cleveland and Atlanta. We're still here. We are growing. We intend to stay until we see movements toward real change in our country and the world.

What about citizens arresting the brutal police. We all know that they are trained to brutalise few in order to instil fear into many. So, to organise a few strong men to surround and capture the bullies (four men could take an arm and a leg each), tie them up and deliver them to the local police station, or pile them up in the local park, would not be a difficult thing to carry out.
As demonstrated in this link: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/201028.html
Because those performing citizens arrest would be carrying this out with love in their hearts, the picture would not look the same.

The Militia, is paradoxically staffed by the more conservative elements of the 'working class'-usually either
believers in the 'Rule of Law', or School bullies who have found an official sanction for their tendencies and willingly
become the iron fist of the ruling 'elites'. Historically it has taken a major threat to physical survival before 'The People'
act in unison to overthrow tyranny (French Revolution comes to mind)-the present economic meltdown may be enough
to awaken people en masse and provide the overwhelming numbers needed to overthrow the present diseased monetary
system-we will have to see. These tactics are so familiar to us, marginalize the protestors as 'extremists', using Fear of force.
This stirs the blood, and the Irishman in me is also moved to say 'Fight them'-but they are so good at fighting, they have all the hardware.

I have threatened police with arrest in the past and it is something I advocate.
There are a few issues, one is that if you do arrest them, you may have to physically subdue them. The second is that when you have them, you have a duty of care for them until you can hand them over.
Then, there is no guarantee that the system won't let them off and come after you.
I am up for it, but they generally leave me alone these days.

Out of curiosity, LS...where do you take an officer you just arrested, from a legal standpoint? Is the police station the only place?

I edited my post to include this link : http://www.presstv.ir/detail/201028.html I think they could be taken by surprise because a retaliation is what they would least expect, and I am not talking about individuals arresting, but a gathering, who could capture them as demonstrated in the link.

I would do that, yes.
But they usually back down when I start threatening them!
