Questions about Reincarnation

I have become very interested in the idea of past lives in the past few months, but it's hard to find accurate information on it. So just a few questions for thought....Do we only reincarnate on this planet? Is reincarnation limited to one species, or could we have previously been a tiny critter? Is this the only lifetime I have gained (semi) spiritual awareness. Thanks much.

From the buddhist perspective, you have been reincarnating for infinite lifetimes. You can go anywhere. You can incarnate into any species.
It is all driven by karma, of misunderstand of what you really are. Every sentient being has been your mother, they have also run off with your new shiny watch!

Some people have reported seeing themselves as other species during their past life regression sessions. I myself feel extremely connected to the Chimpanzee, and from a young age I would pick things up off the floor with my feet, using them as if they were hands, just like they do. But anyway, I would answer yes to all your questions except the last. There is no reason to think that you have not been spiritually aware in your previous lifetimes, but you're here in this life to learn some valuable lessons, which you failed to learn previously.

I would really like to have a past life regression, and am currently seeking someone who can help with this in my area. And pie'n'al I have always thought Buddhist ideas and theory to be very accurate, so that does help. But with the physical Universe being approximately 36 billion years old, the idea of that many past lives is staggering.

divine_moment_of_truth - I don't believe we reincarnate into anything other than human or human-like form.
I do believe we reincarnate until we "learn the lessons"
Then I believe we go to a 'higher plane' for etenity once we've 'got it'
I think we reincarnate on different planets not just Earth.
You might want to read Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton - most of it resonated with me but not all - didn't like the hierachical bits. He has done many past soul regressions apparently and as I say although not all of it resonated, it was an interesting read.

You got that right, It is hard to find good information on the subject. I have been reading the Delores Cannon material tirelessly. I resonate with her findings, but cannot blindly take it all in. The first time that I was able to realize the implications of reincarnation, I was terrified. Mortified, because of my belief structure at the time. Many Astral experiences later,,, I am okay with it. We will eventually have to transcend this earthly shell, and with it, the ego that we have come to know as 'self'. But it is okay, it is like waking up from a dreamy sleep. We LIVE. and that does not stop...

I was 'taught' about this concept during a fully conscious OBE. Me and some others were taken aboard a craft. We were told NOT to look at them. Of course, I DID look at them. I looked directly at the one in front of me. This is a shocker.... I had a moment of clarity and 'bi-location' that is beyond explanation... This strange ET was ME. VERY HARD TO COME OUT AND SAY,,, BTW! This being was me, coming back to visit another representation of ME. There was a download and a lesson about reincarnation that devistated me. It is not just 'past lives' or 'future lives',,, our limited understanding of time,,, augments our entire experience. We are multidemensional beings living simultaneously on different planes of reality.

Think about it like this,, Lets say instead of coming back and living my next incarnation as a human,,, I decide that I want to come back and live YOUR life.,, the one you are living now... Then, maybe, i want to live my brothers life, then another person that I know that is living right now. How can this be,,, You are living your life,,, and I am living mine, right?? NOT so... we are EXPERIENCING these lives, (and we are quite caught up in them.) Take it a step further and you will realize that we are all ONE, living many experiences. we have to transcend our ego and our lives as earth humans.

I believe this to be true, throughout the pan-dimensional realities. Was my life as an ET aboard that craft in the future? the past? current?? Neither... It was an experience that manifested itself when I needed it to. Just like our earthly human lives. This life is another EXPERIENCE that is manifesting itself because you needed to experience it. I am not devistated by it anymore...

That is before we come back.
Do we choose who we will be.. the family we will have
I guess i struggle with how do we (I) know what it is that i have to learn?
And ultimately who what where or when are those decisions made..
Because i really don't think i'am smart enough to figure all that out..
Soul or no soul..
This is ultimately me that makes all the choices.
Also there are so many different perspectives and beliefs
That people hold so dear to them..sometimes even kill for them
who is right and wrong? And i feel foolish thinking that i have the answer

You don't have to learn anything as you know it all now, we are here to remember the Divinity of what we are!
And ultimately who what where or when are those decisions made..

Our higher selves make these choices, and I believe, continue to do so after we are born!

There is no right or wrong! only the way we perceive things, and the judgements we make define what we see as right and wrong!

You are actually creating your next incarnation now! This present moment was created by our past actions and reaction, which create an imprint in the mind, a storehouse of responses = karma. Throughout our lives we hold onto a view of our self identity, which we believe to be real. The world around us reinforces this view that everything is solid and fixed. At the moment of so called death, those last thoughts and tendencies will direct us to our next incarnation- it is all in our hands! So a dung heap could look quite attractive, without us realising what it is!

This is why it is so very important to practise throughout one's life. To be a decent human being, to have a feeling of well being, to have compassion to others and to know one's own mind.
