The fourth kind is one of the most convincing documentary video evidence from Hollywood yet about alien abductions, supposedly based on a true story. It left a lot of unanswered questions too, but the missing child still not being found and the Sumerian language being used a lot I thought was quite odd. It has inspired me to look more into Sumerian history. This is 25mins worth.

This was definitely an interesting movie to see... lost of "small truths" made it out along side with a lot of fear mongering
However, I did some research after looking at the movie, and "this is based on real story and events" did not seem to have a base in reality. I did not save the link to that "making of..." where this stuff was explained but I invite you to look it up and don't fall right a away for "this is a documentary".
That being said, I liked the movie, and I highly recommend it :).
Ah Wikipedia has a cool explanation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fourth_Kind) about this movie :)

knowing that you can't believe anything you read ....I did research the movie after I watched it and what I found was that it was totally made up, the town says that never happened and there was no doctor by that name.....but knowing what we know about things that really doesn't mean a thing does it? The movie did originally have a website for the Doctor but were forced to take it down when no one could confirm she was a doctor or any of her background was legit.....then again like someone says in a previous post she could be held somewhere and drugged in a wheelchair.......

I didn't like it, I thought the behaviour of some of the people, especially the officials was ridiculous and childish, I would be very surprised if people would really behave like that in real life, well over here anyway.

I thought it was a good (fictional) movie, but that the intent was to fear people into justifying shooting anything and everything down that may come from "elsewhere".
