I have not heard of this before Have you?

"What is the "Black Knight" satellite? It is a mysterious satellite, of unknown origin, discovered in 1960 which shadowed Sputnik. It is believed to have been of extraterrestrial origin, and signaled back old radio waves from the 1920s and 1930s before it disappeared. In short wave patterns analyzed by astronomer Duncan Lunan, it revealed its origin as Epsilon Boötes (or the star system as it was 13,000 years ago).
In "Disneyland of the Gods", by John Keel, he reports in depth on this satellite:

"In February 1960 the US detected an unknown object in polar orbit, a feat that neither they or the USSR had been able to accomplish. As if that wasn't enough, it apparently was several sizes larger than anything either country would have been able to get off the ground.
And then, the oddness began. HAM operators began to receive strange coded messages. One person in particular said he managed to decode one of the transmissions, and it corresponded to a star chart. A star chart which would have been plotted from earth 13,000 years ago, and focused on the Epsilon Bostes star system.
On September 3, 1960, seven months after the satellite was first detected by radar, a tracking camera at Grumman Aircraft Corporation's Long Island factory took a photograph of it. People on the ground had been occasionally seeing it for about two weeks at that point. Viewers would make it out as a red glowing object moving in an east-to-west orbit. Most satellites of the time, according to what little material I've been able to find on the black knight satellite, moved from west-to-east. It's speed was also about three times normal. A committee was formed to examine it, but nothing more was ever made public.
Three years later, Gordon Cooper was launched into space for a 22 orbit mission. On his final orbit, he reported seeing a glowing green shape ahead of his capsule, and heading in his direction. It's said that the Muchea tracking station, in Australia, which Cooper reported this too was also able to pick it up on radar traveling in an east-to-west orbit. This event was reported by NBC, but reporters were forbidden to ask Cooper about the event on his landing. The official explanation is that an electrical malfunction in the capsule had caused high levels of carbon dioxide, which induced hallucinations.[1]"
Now, I [webmaster, Uploaded by TheDutchDatabase on Jul 21, 2010
From: FromDimmuLand http://www.youtube.com/user/FromDimmuLand] haven't been able to find reports on this satellite from any news source, but given the recently discovered photos from Russian satellite footage and the stories regarding unknown objects that the early US astronauts saw, I'm inclined to believe this satellite existed. However, the question is its origin- was it a secret US military project, an artifact from earlier in history, or extraterrestrial? The evidence is insufficient to determine the answer.

Illuminati secret government hoax conspiracy ??"

I had seen the vid before, onyxknight mentioned it, I believe.
Hard to find hard data on this as you would expect.

Is it really from all that time ago, or, is it something simular to the space station.
Could it have been built over time by TPTB as some sort of ship which will not have to land on earth or fight through our gravity?

You can find very little on this. It pops up occasionally in books but only in passing mention. Last time I saw it mentioned was in a book about hidden history and it was suggested that our lost ancestors put it up there for some reason. This would match the date given here of 13,000 years ago.

Good luck finding any more info on it though, it's one of the least spoken about peices of the puzzle out there.

Perhaps one of the Whistleblowers knows something? Bob Dean?

Wow, I don't happen on to something I know absolutely nothing about very often,,,so I have to give props when I do.
Interesting stuff Ktlight, I had no idea this existed.
The 13,000 year date of origin though would make Graham Hancock very happy with his information on pre-ice age civilisations attaining a stage of advancement not acknowledged by modern science.

This piece on Dwarka India from 12,000 years ago fits the bill.
Coupled with the mentions of Vimanas (http://www.crystalinks.com/ancientaircraft.html) in ancient Indian texts it makes sense.

The Indian Flood myth a parrallel of the old testements speaks of an Indian Noah named Monu. Monu becomes the father of future mankind by storing all that was to survive on a ship. Takes the seeds of essential plants and rides out the flood in his ark.
Could the ark have been a satellite?
Could this black kngiht be an ark of knowledge?

[...]The 13,000 year date of origin though would make Graham Hancock very happy with his information on pre-ice age civilisations attaining a stage of advancement not acknowledged by modern science.[...]

He already knows about it. Infact, I learnt about it from one of his books. Colin Wilson wrote a book to follow on from Cremo and Hancock and he references Hancock talking about it. Yet, despite all three books being about this lost civilisation that is being hidden by a false history, they only mention The Black Knight once, in passing. Along the lines of, oh btw there's this ancient satalite called The Black Knight. Then that's it, no more mention and no reference to where it comes from.

So according to the satellite it left Epsilon Boötes 13, 000 years ago. Has it been in orbit of the Earth ever since? Has it been in the Earth's solar system ever since? Where is it now? Was its passing just a scientific survey of some sort, little more than the fly-bys of contemporary bland science? Was the satellite manned, or did it have computers at least appearing capable of independent thought? To broadcast a star chart to ham radios... it must have been using a relatively simple broadcaster or they'd not have been able to receive it. Any race that can put so complex a thing in space must be able to choose who receives their transmissions and who doesn't — why broadcast the star chart to 'miscellaneous nobodies' unless this was a satellite purposely circumventing the control of the mastards?

So many questions.
