Today I experienced a definite change (astral travelers especially read this please)

For 3+ years now, I have been exploring the astral realm, lucid dreaming and/or having OBE's. After much practice, I reached a point where I have been able to enter this state at will. Point being... I am very familiar with the various physical and mental sensations accompanying the transition between normal waking state to the astral.

Last night I had planned to have an OBE session, as I usually do when schedule permits, but this experience was very unusual. Everything was going smoothly up to the point where I would normally exit my physical body, but this time I wasn't able to leave. Although I could feel that I was in my astral body and detached from my physical one, my astral body was pinned down by an extremely heavy force at my third eye.

Never once have I experienced anything remotely similar to what happened tonight. It felt like the "laws of physics" of the astral realm had changed... almost as though the vibrational state of it had become too dense to move through.

Any thoughts on what may have occurred or what the implications of this experience might be? I'd be especially interested to know if any other lucid dreamers/astral travelers have similar recent experiences.

i reckon there is a change in the dream/astral realm.
To me its as if it is solidifying,I was thinking about it yesterday,and I thought that
I should be careful with what I am doing over there as this earth may turn into the dream
and the other become my reality.

But I know nothing.
i had no problems going there this morning,but my realm is not anyone elses.
i hope others add to this as It may have some bearing on these times.
I have also found that my synchronicities have upped the ante and I percieve/recieve on average seven per day now.

I find it interesting that you call it solidifying where as I said more dense. Although what you describe is quite different in nature than mine, more solidity is in fact an increase in density. I too hope for more input from others because I feel there is definitely something to this.

It could be that you have a block in your third eye chakra...try doing a chakra clearing meditation and see if that helps. On another note, I went OOB just a couple days ago and noticed that I moved like I was going through mud. I requested awareness and clarity several times but it didn't help much...I don't know if that is similar to what you would have experienced if you actually got out.

I also considered something might be wrong with my chakra but I tuned into it right after and it seems to be in good order. I am generally very conscious of my chakras.

I think your experience is very similar to mine, in that you felt it more difficult to move. Why would the astral realm become "heavier" and more dense? What could cause this?
