Hi guys,
I'm sure you've all seen the interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=aC19fEqR5bA) with trader Allesio Rastani on the BBC recently in which he said he dreamt of recession every night.
Well, this morning when I put on Belgian Radio 1 what did I hear? That investigation had been done into the identity of the man and it was found he was not an acknowledged trader (meaning he doesn't know what he's talking about?), that he has a rather modest dwelling (meaning he's probably a very lousy trader with very false ideas?) and that he admitted after the interview that he was just seeking attention with his performance on the BBC.
One thing Belgian Radio 1 left out too obviously, is the following part:
"But I meant every word I said." (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/8792829/BBC-financial-expert-Al essio-Rastani-Im-an-attention-seeker-not-a-trader.html)
So after that radio message it really came across like Mr Rastani had made a public apology for the nonsense he had spread the day before. What a disgustingly deceiving way of conducting journalism.

(Also notice the news category in which they put it: ookdatnog = fait divers. It only confirms the lightheartedness with which they treat(ed) this man's contribution.)
