"As lavish birthday gifts go, it’s hard to top this one: Naomi Campbell received an island vacation home for her 41st birthday from her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladislav Doronin, according to numerous online reports.
It’s shaped like the Egyptian Eye of Horus on a location known as Cleopatra Island in Turkey’s Gulf of Gökova."

The most interesting thing is how they present it.
Almost as an afterthought.

That's not a gift, that is a prison sentence. All small private islands are at best mill stones, at worst Alcatraz.

Would it not be the best place to have a retreat?

This perplexes me, as this island is a museum, full of Roman relics and architecture. Surely this can never be privatised? If one looks on Google Earth one can see all of the ancient structures on the island, and the tourist walkways. The special beach of ancient fossils. I can't believe that this weird 'house' - with all of its security issues, would be allowed to be built there. Interesting project, but locals can't see any development there yet (check local forums - Living in Turkey etc). A fascinating structure - but to deprive anyone from visiting this island museum seems at odds with the Greek tourist industry, and their heritage! The proposed house would actually destroy some of the ancient ruins! I doubt this can be real - 'photographs' are digitally enhanced for planning purposes. I don't believe this could happen without an outcry from heritage groups. Yes - it is a 'fantasy home'.....

Does this mean that Naomi Campbell was presented with air?

Whatever it is, it certainly looks well ventilated and temperature controlled.
I will be fantasizing about something like that this winter while I'm breathing central heating air.

Good for her, looks like a really cool place. Would like to see some more pics of the area though - waterfalls and all that would be the icing on the cake.
Edit: Yep would definitely like to go to that area.
