UFO enthusiasts were startled when the International Flying Saucer Bureau stopped all activity in late 1953. Although less than two years old,the organization founded by Albert K. Bender in Bridgeport,Connecticut, had been prospering. Why did it shut down?. The only person who could answer this question was Bender himself, and he was not talking. Not until seven years later did he talk-and his tale was one of contact with an "Exalted One" from space. Bender claimed to have had a direct interview with the Exalted One,who warned him of instant death if he continued to delve into the mystery of UFOs. Thats why he disbanded the IFSB. But he learned many interesting things during his interview, and he revealed all when he got the sign he could. In his interview, for example,Bender asked the space being if his people beleived in God. The reply was that they did not have the desire to "worship something" as Earth people do. Another topic Bender discussed with the space visitor was whether other planets were inhabited. The Exalted One said that there had once been life on Mars, but that it was destroyed by invaders. The Martians had built beautiful cities and developed a vast system of water-ways,but had not been as technologically advanced at the time of their end as we are now.Venus was developing life the being said. One of the most interesting exchanges between Bender and the Exalted One was about the moon.Bender asked if the Earth people would reach the moon, and he was told yes. Seven years after Bender wrote this, men were indeed walking on the moon.
