This is how they made the arrests.

"Protesters started marching up the pedestrian walk way over the bridge while others tried to take the traffic lane. For a few minutes officers held the line and then they turned around and led the way up the traffic lane on the Brooklyn Bridge. From what I saw no police told any of the protesters to leave until they created a barricade in front of the march about halfway through the bridge. They then pulled vans and buses up to the back of the group and started arresting everyone.

In total over 700 people were arrested."

The protestors handled themselves with dignity and restraint.

Loved the poster in the beginning that said :-"Occupy everything".

I also think there will be more protests.
As TelosianEmbrace said, the people handled themselves with dignity but who knows, maybe once the people discover that no immediate change is forthcoming, things might look a bit different soon.
Underneath the video is a quote/comment by someone :-
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." -- John F. Kennedy

Either that or it is time to form more communities and get off the grid.

The honking is for the protestors without a doubt, when verizon was on strike here in NY the verizon members had a sign that said honk if your for the unions. And as you notice in this video there are union people marching. This country was built from a Revolution and now its time for another Revolution to restore it for the people, by the people of the people. We are waking up in NY. come join us.

So, what did these protestors do wrong? There wasn't any violence. They aren't doing anything illegal. They have the right to assemble and protest. Do these NY cops know that? The cops were physically pushing people. I'd say that was assault....Real tough guys, aren't they? It's on the record now.... It's only going to make THE PEOPLE madder and join forces even more. One thing's for sure, the people witnessing all of this may start to wonder why Lame Stream isn't covering any of it.... Good way to get more attention I'd say....
Thanks ktlight.

JP Morgan/Chase just made a sizable donation to the NYPD.

From JPMorgan's website:

JPMorgan Chase recently donated an unprecedented $4.6 million to the New York City Police Foundation. The gift was the largest in the history of the foundation and will enable the New York City Police Department to strengthen security in the Big Apple.

Either that or it is time to form more communities and get off the grid.

What sounds even better is: EACH STATE CALLING ALL OF THEIR CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS BACK TO THEIR RESPECTIVE STATES TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY. They have not served the people well. And there are no problems with holding a few special elections after that....
THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ALLOWED TO FINISH OUT THEIR TERMS BECAUSE THEY WOULD DO MORE DAMAGE IN THAT TIME. As I see it, protests like these are justified reactions to a govt gone completely out of control; and they, in turn have allowed Wall Street and corrupt bankers to get away with crime....
I hope that cops like these wake up from their naps, too. I mean, isn't there even one of them that knows that this protest is an American right?

Recently J.P. Morgan donated over $4.6 million to NYPD. Darn if it's not like the movie, The Code, where a NYPD lieutenant is told to shut up because a big firm donated millions to them. Here's the Link (http://geraldcelentechannel.blogspot.com/2011/10/jp-morgan-chase-donates-46-million-to.html). I guess this makes NYPD the mercenary Xi or Blackwater of the law enforcement.

That's the disturbing part. The issues are so complex and hidden and misunderstood and so much deeper and insidious than anyone realizes, and all these beautifully intentioned protesters so disposable. There's a worry that if they do produce a specific agenda, it'll be used against the cause. They're already infiltrated, probably anyone who displays leadership and organization has to be suspect.

Every policeman starts his day in a briefing, and anyone can make a good guess as to what that consists of. They'll have to do their own homework and make their own decisions individually. Who bothers to do that? I mingled informally with a few in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 and it was a pretty benevolent experience. We were all on the same side at the time. New York's Finest' are not (strictly a generalization) what you would consider free thinkers or socially conscious. Not well educated, and not often in the work for any altruistic reasons. Fair enough considering the types of human depravity they commonly contend with. God bless them. That's really not fair to all the cops who are well intentioned and dedicated to caring for the public. But I'm imagining those individuals are having or going to have some serious conflict with what could evolve from this.

I believe the cops said it was disorderly conduct for blocking traffic.

I believe the cops said it was disorderly conduct for blocking traffic.

If the cops invited or allowed them onto the bridge, then not only is this unconscionable, but it is also vexatious prosecution.
All they need is a judge who knows the deal and the charges will get thrown.
The NYPD will be up for costs then.
Maybe that is what that donation to them was for? To cover the costs of setting up the protesters.
