Greetings, Institutions of the Media.

We are Anonymous.

The events transpiring within Wall Street have caught our eye.

It seems that the government and Federal agencies enjoy enforcing the law a little bit too much. They instate unjust laws as mindless automatons, blindly following orders with soulless precision.

We witness the Government enforcing the laws that punish the 99% while allowing the 1% to escape justice, unharmed, for their crimes against the people.

We have observed this same Government failing to enforce even the minimal legal restraints of Wall Street's abuses. This Government who has willingly ignored the greed at Wall Street has even bailed out the perpetrators that have caused our crisis.

We will not stand by and watch the system take over our way of life.
We the people shall stand against the government's inaction.
We the people will not be witnesses to your corruption and ill gotten profits.
We will not labor for your leisure.
We will not assist you in any way.

This is why we choose to declare our war against the New York Stock Exchange. We can no longer stay silent as the population is being exploited and forced to make sacrifices in the name of profit.

Am I the only one that thinks the NYSE is nothing more than a "casino". The only ones that are losing are the bad gamblers. People can get rich in Las Vegas or they can lose everything. The house and the card counters have an advantage. Everyone else simply loses. If the average person is willing to gamble their savings on the NYSE they should expect to lose everything, At one time the NYSE actually was a barometer of the economy. I don't see it that way anymore.

On the other hand the instability of the world's financial market sounds like many peoples' "wet dream", but ask anyone who lived in the depression if they would want to revisit it. also, review history as to what led to WWII - poverty and a scapegoat.

The grass is always greener on the other side. I for one would not want to live in that world. There will always be wealthy people. There will always be greedy people. Yes, the shut down of the NYSE will bring about chaos, but it will only be temporary. Only the middle class will suffer. Jobs will be lost, people will lose their homes, the rich will still be rich, and the poor will still be poor.

Yes, Wall Street is pure greed and corruption. However its collapse would be much more cataclismic than I choose to experience. Just think, if Exxon, Ford, pharmaceutical companies in France, Japan's electronic companies, etc all fail, how many people would be effected that can't afford it in the first place.

I heard that in Israel there was an issue about the rising price of cottage cheese (of all things). Through Facebook the population agreed to stop buying cottage cheese. Guess what - the price came down. If people would stop buying the products that give rise to the wealth and greed you are complaining about (stop buying cars; stop going to ball games; stop going to the movies; stop buying designer clothes, etc) prices would drop. There was once a move to have everyone stop buying Exxon gas and use other company's gas. Exxon would be forced to drop their price and the others would then be forced to follow suit. However, if you can't get by without a car, or without certain foods, or without other conveniences, then be careful what you wish for - you just might get it.

It sounds very "knight in shing armor" for Anonymous to shut down the NJSE. I, for one, hope they fail. If you want to stop the corruption and greed prosecute those in charge - do not bail them out. Let businesses fail and you will see the financial models change.

I'm not wealthy. I don't play the stock market. I have my own business and I work hard to make a living. I don't begrudge wealth. I do resent the corruption that often follow close behind. Stop the curruption and you are left with acheivers. Some of them are actually good. Ted Turner gave away 2 of his 3 billion dollars. As he said, how much does he need. He also bought up millions of acres of land to preserve forests and wildlife. That is the model that should be emulated.

Anyway, I appreciate what I have. I worked hard to have it. The destruction of the NYSE will not directly affect me. However indirectly it can only affect me adversely in that others will not be able to afford to use my services. Others will not be able to afford basic necessities. As I said, the rich will still be rich. Only the middle class will suffer. It is a bad idea.

I'm not so sure that a big financial collapse combined with say an internet shutdown would be what the ptw would want to happen right now.If there was one thing that would wake up,motivate and get people revolting,marching in the streets and protesting it would be if the atm's stopped working or they lost their bank deposits,and remember if this happened it would affect the military and police the same as everyone else.If you combined a financial collapse with a net shutdown there would be big problems for the establishment imho.

The string-pulling is being done at the Federal Reserve Banks - thats where the protests should be.

They simply don´t have the skills to hack advanced protected systems. They only keep pushing those ridiculous DDOS attacks, that do no more damage than taking down a website for a couple of days.

I've been following the whole Anonymous/Occupy Wall Street thing quite closely for the past day or so (better late than never right? ;) )

I don't believe that the "Bankers are the problem" video is an Anonymous video. It is promoting violence, something which Anonymous NEVER does because that would alienate most of their support base. See the "official" Anonymous video below for an example.

The message is unity, freedom, hope, positive change, community.

Then of course there's the fact that the guy in the "Bankers are the problem" video is dressed up in the full "V For Vendetta" outfit and the voice actor chosen sounds a little like Hugo Weaving in that film. Anonymous uses computer generated voiceover and if a live person appears on camera they may be wearing a "V" Guy Fawkes mask, but that is the only nod to the character in the film.

The rumoured Facebook attack of 5 November appears to be a false-flag hoax. FB is one of the mediums used by most of Anon's supporters, including Occupy Wall Street / Occupy Together. To take down Facebook would do more damage to their cause than it is worth.

The same may be said about the rumoured October 10 NYSE operation.

I do not now or every had a good feeling about Anom. They show up and again people give their power away. If they cared about the people and Wall St, they would hack NYPD and remove all tickets from the innocent protestors, now that to me would make sense, they would wipe out the Fed Reserve...no they want to take down FB, which basically is one of the few outlets helping to move the Occupy movement, they want to take down the Stock Exchange, which wont affect banksters, but will destroy 401k, pensions etc...so please, do you need to be a rocket science on these muppets, my only hope is that any higher being out there is focussed on them and a step ahead of this crap....

They simply don´t have the skills to hack advanced protected systems. They only keep pushing those ridiculous DDOS attacks, that do no more damage than taking down a website for a couple of days.

Besides, hacking into any advanced system is easy to track and trace and none of them wants to go to jail.

FB, as an example, has hundreds of high security servers. It´s close to impossible to take it down, and believe me, lots of people have tried.

I assure you, it can be done. They would not invest as much as they do in the secuity and procedures if the risk is not a possibility. Also note it has happened a number of times to large corporations. DDOS is not what brought down PlayStation. It helps muke up the logs while they use other exploits.

It is just the means and motive don't align. I agree in that they don't have the means.

What I fear is the innocent being hurt when the banks fake theft to help pass legislation that would reduce or limit our freedom and privacy on the web.

According to the PNAC (http://www.newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf), a pearl-harbor type event would be perfect to catalyze increases in the military/defense budget. The events of 9/11 were exploited to that effect and really kick-started the implementation of the strategy laid out by the PNAC to sustain America's "preeminence". Another criteria to further the implementation of global "Pax Americana" was to secure and control "cyberspace". If AnonOps goes through with this it gives the government a reason to ratify the aforementioned criteria. The other "International Commons" to govern would be the weaponization of space. Anybody want to guess what sort of event would vindicate that?

The fact is there are dozens of different "anonymous" channels out there. We have seen at least three different ones with three different production styles/graphics in this thread alone. This is for a very good reason - there is no Anonymous as they appear. There is no unified single organisation.

I have no information on the NYSE thing apart from that which I have already posted here. My opinion though is that it is a false-flag hoax designed to discredit anonymous when nothing significant happens. We shall soon see.
