Dear Avalonians
Last night I had yet another dream about Lions.
Recently (for the last couple of years anyway) I keep having dreams about Lions, mainly young male Lions.
Mostly they come close and I am scared or are in the distance and I am trying to get away from them.
Last night they were outside of a building that I was in and I was trying frantically to lock the doors and windows to keep them out.
However one Lion did manage to get in and came up very close to me.
I was TERRIFIED.......... then I woke up. Phewwwww!
I've looked this up and only found this that was interesting to me........
"Carl Jung said that all wild animals indicate latent affects (feelings and emotions that we do not readily deal with). They are also symbolic of dangers (hurtful and negative things) being "swallowed" by the unconscious. The lion is a symbol of social distinction and leadership. The interpretation depends on the circumstances and the interactions with the lion.
Any clues my dear Avalonians on what my dreams may be trying to tell me???
Much LOVE

Lion in Arabic is Al Assad.
I wonder if this is about Syria?

Dreams are messages from your own subconscious
and hidden inner personalities that are yet to be discovered.
So Lions, who represent strength, majesty, power,
mixed with sensuality and cuddliness
symbolize a part of you that may soon be born.
Let your inner Lions come forth, and rule your domain.

Hi Star1111, for many years maybe 30 or so I had recurring dreams about lions too. In my dreams the lions were female, always female. I have not had even one dream where there was a male lion. Strange really as if you were to ask me what a lion looked like I would probably describe the male lion. My dreams were like real life and very vivid. I would find myself outside of a cave or lions den with female lions walking about slowly outside. I would be about 5 ft away from the nearest one. Some would glance at me and others wouldn't notice I was there. My heart would be beating fast in the dream as I was terrified of them. Sometimes in the dream I would venture near the entrance as there wouldn't be any outside. There was always a hole like a window at the right hand side of the entrance which I could peer through. After hundreds of dreams throughout my life I had the last one where I "knew" I had to be brave so I walked towards them and the dream ended. I had an astrologer pal who also did dream interpretation and I asked him what he thought about it. He said that the female lions represented my creative desires. I have Saturn in Leo like a lot of other people of my age group and of course others who are 20 yrs older and 20yrs younger. So nothing personal in of itself. But Saturn in Leo would have a tendency towards withholding creative impulses. I myself think it had something to do with recognizing my own inner feminine aspects. What say you Ulli?

Lions in a dream could mean 1. a braggart, 2. courage or 3. inner strength
In the African tradition of the Sangoma's the lion is very sacred and the rare white lion is representative of our connection communication between humans and the stars.

Perhaps they are far buried memories of a past lifetime, when you lived as one of them (Lions), a desired female Lioness perhaps?? Just a thought.

Your star family trying to make contact probably cause is time for you to remember,
is perfectly normal to be scared locking doors windows but next time you might notice they aren't aggressive at all, quite the contrary
and so you might want to just sit quietly with them.

I agree with ulli, and would go a step further to recommend investigating the mythos around Inanna, who was pictured standing on the backs of lions, therefore perhaps it is that archtypal influence being injected into yoir consciousness. Also looking into legends and such that involve lions. I can feel a lot of power from this dream but you must find the meaning. When you see it you will KNOW. FWIW.

I've never had dreams about lions, though I love them but I had a dream about a tiger once. It was beautiful - the colours of the tiger that was under a tropical sea were spectacular. I have never forgotten that dream. After that I left England to live in Italy, intending to stay just 3 years though I liked it so much I settled here. About 6 years after the dream I was in London in an enormous bookshop and I decided to look in a really thick volume on dreams. Under tiger and water it said: You will leave your country and live in another country for good! I was flabbergasted!
(Pity I didn't buy the book and then I could have told you what it said about lions :-( )

I am a isangoma from america. We are taught that when we dream of lions being agressive in dreams that the anscestors are trying to get our attention...
This is a very holy dream as the lions come from the stars to protect humanity from evil.

Stan - Interesting dream and I will take your advice (if I can) and next time just either sit with them or approach them !!
My lions are always young males (I expect Freud would have something to say about THAT)! :)

Thank you Ocean - I like the sound of my ancestors trying to get my attention and do you know................. at this stage in my life that is a HUGE comfort! I will listen and find out what I am being asked of or told.
As I write this I get a beautiful feeling coming in of serenity and that "it will all be o.k".
Much LOVE to you All for your interesting responses
If I get a stronger 'sign' or if anything happens following on from these dreams I will let you all know
Bless you ALL.
