Our country is 14 trillion dollars in debt! (100 trillion in unfunded liability!!!!!!!!!!)
1 We Must Get Our Fiscal House In Order!!!
2 We Must Get out of All Foreign Wars!!!
3 This Nation must come together once again in shared sacrifice!
Our country has endured tumultuous times in the past! WW1, WW2 ,The Civil War,
The Stock Market crash of 1929, Just to name a few!
Some people have compared our great country to the S.S. Titanic !
And in some ways they are correct! (We have hit a Iceberg!)
But I think our Country is best Embodied by another more recent Incident.
US Airways Flight 1549 "The Miracle on The Hudson" Sure we get knocked down sometimes. But we always get back up!!!!

I believe USA´s destiny is on the people´s hand.
However, just as an observation, don´t think of it only as patriotic matter. If the USA economy crashes, a big part of the world will crash as well.
Like spider man´s uncle said: With great power, comes great responsibility.
Unfortunately, a big part of the world´s fate is on your hands; I just hope the USA to know how to handle it.

No one inside the US government is going to fix anything. They are working for the bankers and corporations that paid to get them into power and pay to keep them in power as incumbents.
The citizens of the US have not caused any of this. It was an engineered financial scam that has hit its eventuality. The money brokers may try to prop it up for a while longer, milking more blood from citizens, foreclosing on more properties, devaluing the dollar and crashing the stocks and bonds markets - and they will have all the gold, all the property, and (if allowed to continue) they will still have all the power. The power is given to them by the consent of the people (and the non-action of the government/banking/corporate "elected" officials.) If they are successful in keeping people in the dark, average citizens witll point fingers at each other and blame each other for the mess. Average citizens will ask other average citizens to "share in sacrifice", a euphemism for taking the blame, the onus, and the invoice.
I'm still not sure if the "uprising" in the US has enough intelligence to actually do anything except blow off some steam. It is very, very nebulous still. Lots of heart (passion), not so much brain (strategy.)
Reminds me a lot of my favorite Twilight Zone episode: "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street." Everybody pointing fingers at everybody else (or at least, not pointing fingers at the problem.) Even worse is not having a clue how to attack the problem if they (we) even do manage to figure it out.
Citizens, shouting at the castle walls, from outside the castle, have no power. None at all. It doesn't matter how loud, how angry, or how eloquent the shouting is. The only way for citizens to have any power is to get "inside the castle walls" - into ALL elected and appointed positions of all three branches of the US government - displacing ALL of the current infestation with ordinary citizens, ordinary citizens vetted not to have any corporate/banking ties, and under an enforceable sworn affidavit not to join with any corporation, bank, or trading firm for at least five years after serving the 4 years (maximum) term of elected or appointed office.
From inside the castle walls, the citizens of the United States can repair all of the damage, change every aspect of the corrupt system, and become the peaceful, magnanimous, and thriving country that is currently trapped within the hearts and minds of 99% of US citizens.
Here's the way to get into the castle walls (Phase I):
The Reset Button: Executive Summary
The Reset Button is a document, a movement, a strategic plan, and a call to immediate action to US citizens that want to control their own governance and thus their destiny. Then, The Reset Button defines more than a dozen critical areas of change that support the majority (US citizens) rather than corporations and banks.
The action (specific financial pressure on major corporations - including complete divestment and boycotts - plus simultaneous demonstrations in all 50 State capitals) has never been done before.
The goals of The Reset Button are divided into two phases: Phase I is fully articulated in the legal language and format of a single proposed US Constitutional amendment – Amendment XXVIII (Election Reform Amendment), and one law – the Election Reform Act of 2011. Success with Phase I will mean that the citizens of the US actually have control over elections, and that ordinary citizens will become elected by citizens, not selected by corporations. Phase I mandates that candidates will be required to address Phase II items in written position papers. Phase II currently outlines major areas of critical importance to US citizens, and will be drawn-up into the legal format of congressional acts and constitutional amendments in time for debate and mandated position papers by candidates, prior to the 2012 election. Phase II Acts and Amendments - written by citizens, not lobbyists or corporations - will be considered as a blueprint for change for the newly elected officials in 2012.

No incumbency and no seniority. Every elected and appointed office term is four years. Every four years, the slate is wiped clean. All previous elected and appointed officials depart; all new elected and appointed officials enter. No individual may ever serve more than four years in any office.
Judges and justices, including Supreme Court and other Federal judgeships, are retired as of the 2012 election, and future judges and justices conform to the same four year term and cycle as any other elected or appointed official.
Collusion is legally equated with treason.
Corporate personhood is formally eliminated.
The Election Reform Act of 2011 bullet points:
No citizens with dual citizenship may hold office.
Candidates for office and appointees must not be a corporate board member or stockholder in any corporation. Elected and appointed officials agree not to participate in corporate boards, banks, or stock/commodities trading firms for five years after leaving office.
Candidates must pass a new Civil Service Exam. Federal judges/justices must have passed a law bar exam.
Only public money (including the nominal filing fees from candidates) may be used for elections. No corporate or outside money - not even from candidates - may be used.
Candidates must meet all criteria and pay a nominal filing fee.
To get to a reasonable number of final candidates, the entire candidate field for each office is physically randomized in a hopper, and a specific number of names are drawn.
Final candidates are all given equal amount of public funding, must publicly account for expenditures, and are mandated to be given equal time and prominence in all media. Mandated debates and mandated position papers present individual candidate views.
All voting to be on paper ballots and hand counted.
Vote of Confidence by Citizen Initiative provides a method of elected official recall and even 'freezing' elected official duties, and provides this uniformly from local to federal elected officials, including judges and the president.

We'll my take on this is that everyone may be assuming that the "good" period of the USA was actually due to the people. Has anyone ever wondered that this period was also manipulated. Has anyone wondered that if the manipulators left town, then the 300 million people of the USA each with their own agendas, egos, little rulesets and beliefs would destroy themselves overnight. The cost to rebuild the USA will be huge, too huge, more huge than the phantoms tickets.

Wow, that was some heavy devil's advocating. I hope just an intellectual exercise. I have traveled around quite a bit in the US and find that people ae generally good, loving people. I also note that when there are international disasters, US citizens respond quickly and with a lot of heart (as well as personal cash), which is a pretty good indicator of "compassion in action", versus "theoretical compassion."
We US citizens also have been subjected to immense and intense fear-mongering and other relentless psychological operations to keep us under control, some are immeasurably weary from fighting and fighting for causes from saving the black-footed ferret to stopping imperialist war occupations, and many have assimilated shame and guilt for being members of a nation that has caused such vast damage around the world. So, just like when you squeeze a balloon, it gets distorted, squeaks and squonks, and may even burst - so we US citizens are not able to give a great impression of our nature when not under such pressure. (And don't think for a minute I'm equating the pressure and psy-ops we're under to the horrid conditions our military and corporations have leveled upon citizens of many other nations.)
We do have more than a fair share of religious nuts, but hey, after a few photo-ops with ETs, many of the religious nuts will realize they were "mushroomed", and will emerge from that straitjacket too.
I think you will be very pleasantly surprised that the majority of US citizens will show themselves to be good people, humanitarians, and environmental stewards after we shake off the miscreants and sociopaths that currently operate the dungeon.

I would suggest that the bastard bankers who stole the American peoples money return it now to settle this theft. If some people steal your money and give it to extremely rich people who then tell you that you owe them more, do NOT stand for this fraud. Put the thieves on trial for mass public theft. Simple.

Hi to all.
At the end of the day, it is not an America that need's restoring, but all the world politics, finances, government and kicking out the elite control.
So that's why i say, lets restore a world for the good of all this planet and not just America. I have nothing against America, but the problem and the appropriate solutions should and must be for all.
But i do sincerely understand what you mean.

My two cents.
The United States will not achieve course correction until they realize that they are the people in a new way. People are focusing on their relationship with the country instead of with each other. What has to happen, is that people have to reconnect with each other, form strong community bonds, form communities into counties, form counties into states and then form those states into a federation. It has to be rebuilt from the ground up. The strengthening of the local community and local participation is the foundational step. I don't think anything else will work. A top down fix will always fail.
Decade after decade, people become more isolated from their communities. But when disaster strikes, we see people briefly reconnect with each other. Now we just need to learn to do that all the time. Get involved. Stay involved. Form relationships.

America is a diseased body, gangrenous and leprosy ridden. It's capitol buildings teeming with blood sucking parasites and their vermin minions. We have become a fetid stench that reaches to every continent. The millions of good-hearted, hard-working and decent Americans represent the body. Politicians and the titans of industry are the disease and they currently control almost everything. Only the 2nd amendment has prevented things from being even worse.
Thomas Jefferson was very aware of the diseases that can afflict a nation. Clearly he was a visionary and far-sighted because his near sightedness missed the cancer of slavery within his own purview. Conflict of interest produces queer fruit.

I do agree that it is wise to build at the community level too, but expanding outward from community, we would still hit a wall where we would never gain control of the federal government, and thus could never end wars, or do other national and international level work. It would also take many many years to find out where the wall is, and in the meantime, the US military would proceed with killing people and dismantling civilizations with bombs. We cannot afford to go slow. The world and its inhabitants cannot afford for us to move slowly.
The Reset Button is not a 'top-down' approach; it is an 'inside-out' approach. An example of a top-down approach is that presented by our buddy from Down Under, Jackovesk, in promoting Ron Paul. It is an example of the implanted hero worship/savior worship concept - a public relations, and global controllers' - dream come true. (Only one person to promote; only one person to control.) Hero worship has been institutionalized in the US, and from what I can tell, it is yet another of our lousy exports (along with Cheese Whiz and depleted uranium.) It may have reached its peak with Obama.
Many people do not understand the enmeshed hierarchical structure that defines the US government. Many believe that a single person, if powerful enough, can direct the will of the federal government, which has approximately 1500 people near the top of the power pyramid. (Oh, and the apex of the pyramid is reserved not for presidents, but for individuals that are not voted into and out of office: that position is reserved for the demigods of international banking.)
Realize that if Ron Paul was elected, that even after four years of him relentlessly saying "end the Fed", that he would simply be replaced by the next meat-suit, the Fed would not end, and the boys dancing it the pyramid penthouse would still be dancing. Believing in a savior robs people of their power, and we need people to reclaim their power en masse and rise up together to take control of the government.
This really isn't "rocket science." We don't need celebrities to be our legislators, and as long as the citizens elected are free from corporate and banking ties, and lobbying is made illegal, these ordinary citizens can write fair and honest legislation which will include ending not only the Federal Reserve but creating a new monetary system that deliberately excludes bankers from controlling it ever again.
