:cool:A real-life story of Goldilocks and three bears has been reported in former Soviet Yugoslavia. Five year old Goranka Cuclic wandered from her home in the villiage of Vranje and disappeared into the dense forest. Her parents and neighbours searched desperately for her well into thenight, lighting their way with burning torches. Yet they could find no trace of the little girl and when some woodcutters told them they had seen bears near by,most gave up hope. However farmer Ivan Furian,Gorankas uncle, refused to stop searching and armed only with a cudgel, pushed deeper into the forest. As in a good fairytale, his optimism was rewarded:he found his niece cold and hungry, but otherwise unharmed. Back home and feeling much better she told everyone that she had met three bears in the forest after she lost her way..."One was big and fat and the other two were quite small;she explained. "I played in a meadow with the two small ones and shared my biscuits with them. The big one licked my face... its tongue tickled. At night i snuggled between the cubs2. The next day she lost them and had to spend a night in the cold and alone before her uncle found her. There are quite a few documented cases of lost children being accepted and adopted by wild animals like wolves and bears so the story might not be complete bunkum-it is nice to believe it is true.

Awwwwwwwww, I wanna go snuggle up with a couple bears too. And hibernate until ascension has occurred and the world is once again a harmonious place.

Probably is true. I have found animals to be very accepting of the young of other species. There are lots of examples of domesticated dogs adopting abandoned kittens (like my dog did), cats adopting baby rats or mice as their own and so on and so on. Cats and dogs babysitting each others babies (as mine did). Seems the instinct to mother a baby is so filled with the frequency of love that discriminating against what kind of baby can be put aside.

Nice story Dave, thank you, but revise your Geography lessons, Yugoslavia was never Soviet.
