"There are two types of humanity in war: there are worthy victims and unworthy victims... None of it happened. It didn't happen even as it was happening.
The war on Afghanistan was a fraud right from the beginning, just as the attack on Iraq was a fraud and the invasion of Libya is a fraud."

John Pilger tells it like it is...
Sadly, one of the few real journalists left now.
Much respect

We should all mentally put a strong ring of protection around the courageous likes of John Pilger...if he wasn't already, that speech just made him a target.

Thanks KT. I am grateful to find this up here as I was standing in front of him in Trafalgar Square when he made that impassioned speech on Saturday and wanted to hear it again. I agree with all the sentiments here - he is a great journalist.

Spoken with honor and integrity. We need more like him everywhere....

G'day All,
I had missed this thread and just wanted to add my voice to the general agreement with Pilger's body of work.
I've just posted his very first documentary 'Vietnam: The Quiet Mutiny' on the Recommendable Videos (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?28958-Recommendable-videos&p=330460&viewfull=1#post330460) thread.
I reckon it's a must see.
It's the one Mike Wallace (of US 60 Minutes) said was really good and that it was a "real shame we can't show it here".
Also here's an interview with Pilger (http://www.newstatesman.com/200609110031) at New Statesman that some here might enjoy.
Kind Regards, :yo:

If I was to condone bit torrents (which I obviously wouldn't ahem), his entire library of work is available online.
All of it, every single one, is superb. The man's incredible. Absolutely spot on - some of it hard to watch, and harder still to fathom (from a British guy's POV) just how big a role the UK has played in f**ing the world. I knew 'we' were bad, but not as bad as the facts show us.
It was Pilger's work that got me so deeply into world events - a real eye opener.

Finally some truth amongst billions of lies and a man of honor bringing it to the attention of those who otherwise would turn a blind eye .. Thank you Mr. Pilger and klight

When have the PTB not been slaughtering innocents? Been going on well over 2000 years if not longer. The power of millions of ethical, good selves will not allow it any longer for minorities of sick power hungry elites to subjugate us any longer. We are many we are one!

G'day math330,
No need to feel bad about torrents when it comes to Pilger.
He has his older videos all freely accessible from his website (http://www.johnpilger.com/videos) and a Vimeo channel (http://vimeo.com/user5080139) with them all on.
Pilger "walks the walk" and doesn't just pontificate like so many others.
No hypocrisy there mate.
He's a believer.
I might not always agree with him but he definitely believes in what he says.
Plus there's also archive.org (http://www.archive.org/) which also has many of his and Adam Curtis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Curtis)' work freely available legally.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards, :yo:

G'day Panopticon.. thanks, I didn't know that! And I'd hate to encourage people to break the ridiculous copyright laws ;)
Thanks for the archive.org link, too - nice one.
Adam Curtis' 'Century of the Self' pretty much explains to me why so many people are wrapped up in their own selfish lives.
Thanks dude!
