Oh, now I see. Are you talking about this huge glowing halo around the sun image? It seems pretty strong, so strong that made the CCD of the SOHO to malfunction.

What is it? I don´t know. Is it normal, just the sun doing his stuff? I don´t know.

Does anyone have a link explaining this phenomenon?

yup, thats what i'm talking about. Looks pretty intense to me! Then later that spikey thing coming out at the bottom, like some sort of "ray"??? I don't know what they are, at first I thought maybe was just a glitch in the cameras, but thought I would post and see what others think.

Yeah. This is a two way problem.

1-The sun flashed and made the camera malfunction.
2-The camera malfunctioned and made the sun looks like that.

Who knows...

today is very overcast where i live. however about 20 minutes ago, the sun peaked through the cloud cover, and then, it literally dropped down for cover. i thought i was imagining it. i am just not sure what i saw. i hate that. questioning my own vision. any thoughts?

Well, the reason I checked out SOHO in the first place, was because about 10 - 15 minutes ago, I just got a strange sensation, kind of like a headache, but not quite, like something emotional, but not quite, I don't know how to describe it, but when stuff like this happens to me it is usually when the sun is having a "mood". Today, was much more intense though, so I opened my laptop and started checking it out, and this is what I found. Very cloudy here too.

yeah, weired, totay was overcast but it was so hot and had to drive my car with the windows open to let the heat out,, this time last year i had a big coat, hat and gloves on...

I saw them also. It was while I had the infrared on Googlesky. I zoomed out and this gold and red wave with geometric shapes and lighting bolt type blocked spears doing a wavy pattern. The gold and red energy wave was there first and now the black blocked out spear like shapes in a zig zaggy pattern seems to be coming in the opposite wavy areas.

Amazing.

There also was a report from NASA that there were maneuvers under way with SDO (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?32402-Maneuvers-and-Images).

Just to add that IPS Oz (http://www.ips.gov.au/Solar/1/5) reports:

CME activity observed in STEREO and SOHO satellite imagery at approximately 01UT on 13 October appears to be associated with a backside event and is not expected to be geoeffective.

I don't believe anything NASA says, if they say it, its probably disinfo. I also think there is heavy over-use of the word "artifact".

As I mentioned on the other thread that talked about the strange sun yesterday, I had a dream around 3am wednesday the 12th that the sun is red and it means the change is here. ...All good news.

As I also mentioned, I didn't write down more details later upon awakening (I go through a ton of dreams/visions ..so not so special anymore)...and so I just have the essence of this vision/dream now in my mind's eye.
