Did Herman Cain take his famed 9-9-9 tax plan from SimCity video game..?

Presidential candidate Herman Cain is picking up major steam in the battle for the Republican nomination, and his 9-9-9 tax plan is a major part of that success.

It's easy to understand, it's bold- to be honest, it sounds quite like a pizza deal that his company Godfather's pizza might promote.

It also sounds quite similar to the tax plan used in a popular video game for nearly the past decade.

Liking the numbers: Certain recent polls had Mr Cain leading the race for the GOP presidential nomination, but some think he stole his tax plan from a video game

Mr Cain has based his political strategy around the simplicity and effectiveness of a tax plan where U.S. citizens have to pay a corporate tax rate of nine per cent, a personal income tax rate of nine per cent, and a national sales tax rate of nine per cent.

Though he claims to have received the idea from a bank employee named Richard Lowrie Jr. in Ohio, observers are now questioning if the true inspiration is the tax code used on the SimCity video game.

The game, originally invented in 1989 allows players to plan and run virtual cities. The fourth version of the game, which came out in 2003, taxes players nine per cent for industrial taxes, nine per cent for residential taxes and nine per cent for commercial taxes.

Sound similar?

Virtual reality: SimCity 4 unveiled a tax plan similar to Mr Cain's 999 plan

The Huffington Post asked a producer at Mazis, the company that made SimCity, whether they were contacted by the Cain campaign and he said they were not, though they are not surprised that a politician ripped off the idea.

'We encourage politicians to continue to look to innovative games like SimCity for inspiration for social and economic change,' said Kip Katsarelis of Maxis.

'While we at Maxis and Electronic Arts do not endorse any political candidates or their platforms, it's interesting to see GOP candidate...

Herman Cain propose a simplified tax system like one we designed for the video game SimCity 4,' Mr Katsarelis continued.

In a Republican presidential debate, Mr Cain gave a shout out to his 'economic advisor' Mr Lowrie for creating the plan.

Mr Lowrie works in a branch of Wells Fargo bank outside of Cleveland, Ohio, and according to his LinkedIn profile, he has no formal experience on political campaigns and his experience as an investment advisor at the popular bank branch is his sole economic training.

Mr Cain's spokesperson J.D. Gordon neither confirmed nor denied the connection between the candidate's tax plan and the video game's tax plan.

'Well, we all like 9-9-9,' Mr Gordon said

If you can make it here: Game producers are unsure of whether the Cain campaign were inspired by their message, but they were sure the simplicity of their plan- which was designed for entertainment- attracted them..!

PS - 9-9-9 with the Lot..? As soon as it scrutinised as far as I'm concerned with Herman Cain's previous employment record stating he had worked for the 'Privately Owned' Federal Reserve bank in Kansas City...

Herman Cain (born December 13, 1945) is an American businessman, syndicated columnist, and radio host from Georgia. He is the former chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza and a former chairman (Omaha Branch board 1989–91), deputy chairman (1992–94) and chairman (1995–96) of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

...just proves to me he's a Shill for the Fed and his 9-9-9 plan is really the NWO Globalist Cabal's 6-6-6 plan...

To the American people expose this 'Shill' before he gains even more MSM Traction..!

Here he is 'Defending the Fed' yet again..!

Cain is nothing but a tactic to stall Ron Paul. As much as I'm not fond of Paul, I'm not much fonder of Cain. It's like the Republicans said "Hey, we'll put a black guy out there, give him some ridiculous ideas and watch him fall!"
