Thanks for that second vid jackovesk - I hadn't seen that angle.

We don't know what the protester did/said which caused the NYPD white shirt to snap and lash out, but such behaviour by a law enforcement officer is at best unprofessional and an assault in the legal sense. The cops are lucky it was a peaceful protest with few if any people being interested in provoking confrontation. Full-blown riots have been sparked by less.
