"Shri Mataji herself or her photograph has the vibrations to awaken you Kundalini energy within. Open both your hands towards the photograph and ask for the Kundalini awakening (self-realization).
Repeat from your heart 7 times:
Shri Mataji, please give me my Self-realization!
Now see if you can feel a gentle cool or warm breeze in your palms.
It could be a warm breeze in the beginning, which is a sign that your Kundalini energy is purifying your chakras, but it will eventually cool down. You can verify it by placing your left palm 2 to 3 inches above your head, then trying the same with the right palm."
I've personally done this Kundalini awakening, in the beginning of the year, and I've reached the point where I can talk to people and simultaneously be aware of both of my hands, feeling a cool breeze.

Wow! Thank you so much for this info. It gives me so much insight on what I have been experiencing lately. Shortly before my grandfather passed a few months ago I was wracked with grief knowing his time was running out. As I cried and prayed, I suddenly felt a tingling and coldness in my scar from a large birthmark on my leg which I feel is a deep wound I brought with me from a previous life. I have felt a vibration there off and on ever since.
Another symptom I have felt particularly in the last four weeks is a strange vibration in my ear canal. My hearing is fine, but when I am absorbing certain types of "elevated" auditory information, it begins to beat. One morning, I awoke & inside my ear hurt intensely for a few days & kept ringing loudly. I was fearful something was wrong with me, but after reading about the symptoms of Kundalini Awakening, I think it is just my body’s way of telling me I am awakening & am on the right track in my quest for knowledge and truth :)
I have never been big on meditating, but last night I had an urge to try it after reading some similar info about Kundalini Awakening. What happened was amazing! First, I saw flashes of hundreds of symbols that look similar to egyptian hieroglyphics embedded on the back of my eyelids. My eyelids and facial muscles began twitching and I felt energy building up inside my mind. Instead of pushing it down into my throat and breathing it in and expelling it out – an exercise I usually do to ready my mind before sleep – I let it build up and then felt it flow upward out the top of my head. Suddenly, I “saw” the energy uncurling in the shape of a cobra and when it had straightened completely, the form turned into a woman’s body with arms extended upward toward heaven. Then it transformed into a rainbow. Lightning shot up and down the length of the rainbow and turned it into stairs that resembled a Mayan or Incan temple. On each step was a cluster of fruit. This felt like a truly phenomenal experience to me, a true “vision” and not a forced thought that I conjured. I feel so much love flowing out of me now, just like the rainbow I saw!
Does anyone else have insight or experiences having to do with Kundalini Awakening?

I had an awakening / transfigurative experience in 1995. It was / is amazing to go into Divine Union and oneness. It can also prove to be distracting and takes time to learn balance. I made the mistake of sharing this divine union with some who simply could not understand and wanted to experience it, so I assisted them. I did this a few times and everytime they would end up pledging their undying love for me and how we were soul mates! I quit. I would even warn them ahead of time that they would feel connected to me as they have never felt before and to NOT misinterpret that as anything more than a knowing and experience, that we were NOT soulmates.
To me, there is no higher expression of oneness and unity, but few can go there and simply be there. I have met some recently who are there and the mutual respect we share is lovely. There is a draw to that unity and oneness in Divine ecstasy, but I personally feel a push pull because of the dangers so often encountered. Kundalini and tantra are powerful forces and one should have a strong spiritual foundation before embarking on that journey.

Any experience that comes and goes is not it but a very useful encouragement.
I had K awakening before I even knew what it was.
I later went to India to the ashram associated with the late Guruji and was blissed out for two days deeply in love with everything and every one.
He gave Shaktipat to control it. ( The awakening K that is)
Tantra is different but can be enjoyed lovingly even when couples are many miles apart--- thats personal experience but saying no more on the subject.
