I feel lost nowdays, Im searching for an answer to my question that I have had for so long now.
What is my purpose?

I recently started working as an consultant at a company, but now a month later the assignment was interrupted and discontinued.
Im feeling sad since I really had started liking what I was doing, but now I am just at a loss.

How can I find my own purpose in life?

I recently finished reading The twelfth planet by Zecharia Sitchin, and this has left me with even more question and uncertainty...
I wish to know, i wish to learn and i wish to live.

Do what you need to do, how you need to do it, learn what you want to learn , look inside, sometime it takes a while but you will be where you are needed when time, the journey is what you wish it.
But you did join a great place to learn of who you MIGHT BECOME.....:grouphug:

Hello Young Soul
I don't have the time to really consider your questions at the moment, but I just wanted to say that I love the honesty and humility in your words. There is a wonderful feeling about you that comes across...
I shall be back!

Hi Youngsoul...it sounds to me like you've been put into a special position...freed up, so to speak, to pursue another direction.

It can be a very uncomfortable place to be, in a world where others can seem so self-assured. We live in a culture that wants results five minutes ago. Sometimes it just doesn't feel right to be directionless for any length of time. However...

remember the old adage 'Patience is a virtue'
and 'Virtue is its own reward'.

You will be guided. Have no fear. Just remain open to any and all possibilities that feel positive. There are lots of other people who feel the same way you do too.

In the meantime, while you are waiting, I find cleaning is always good. And reading is also a good thing too.

All the best, bright spark, being lost is sometimes the best place to be.

Don´t worry my friend. Everybody gets a little lost sometimes...

Think about something you´re good at, now think about something you´re really good at and you really like doing it. Make it your profession.

Greetings, Friend!

It's not very complicated -- you're here to experience being you! Your purpose is to be yourself, to just be.

You could consider what you wanted most out of life as a child, what did you aspire to, for instance?

I do have a Degree in Media design, and im pretty good at it.
The problem is that it is hard finding a job within that area, but im just 22-years old so I guess I will find something

Young Soul, people of all ages are searching and are questioning daily about their purpose in life. This is NOT unusual and it doesn't end, at least on this plane of life. Even if one perceives that they have found their purpose, the question pops up and then one questions if there is more they can be doing. I can assure you that in the proper time you will be led, and not accidentally to the answer of your purpose. events good and not so good, in other words, what you learn and what others learn from you, whether victories or failures, they are mere tools of learning. we are all constant teachers and students in this school of hard knocks. you will definitely find your way along this path and to make it easier, ALWAYS forgive yourself and forgive others. this is one of the main lessons we are to learn on the path to our purpose. Be aware and patient, without a doubt, you will be guided. Good luck in finding your purpose and learning and teaching in the "school of hard Knocks". look forward to it, you will graduate with wisdom, insight, awareness, forgiveness, unconditional love, and acceptance of all races and many more great qualities. your wish to know , learn and live is inside of you. the kingdom/ higher self is within. Namaste, peace and love universally. :)

Hi YoungSoul, I see you're 22, and I'm 45. Wanna switch for a week.... Or two?

I had some amazingly good times in those lost years of my early 20's, and best of all, actually lived to tell about it.

I see you say "I wish to know, i wish to learn and i wish to live." If I were speaking to my 22 year old self, I would highly recommend doing things just in that order, only back to front. Live it up brother, the rest will unfold in it's proper time and place.

Cheers,
Fred

Hello and welcome YoungSoul.

What a fortunate position to be in: young and seeking. Many sleep for several years before they start questioning. I am in no way undermining your "lost"-ness and as many have already said: its possibly the best place to be in right now. And as Chiquetet also so succinctly put it: You answered yourself

Thats a good place. Yourself.

Thank you for the link Pie. Am looking forward to watching.

Youngsoul, here is another. It may not answer your questions directly however, can offer a new perspective: Who's driving the Dreambus (http://theavalonfiles.com/stream/Whos_Driving_The_Dreambus/index.html)

There are many fine threads in this forum that will help pave the way, or scare the bejezuz out of you ;)

Good luck young soul!

Is your question about your purpose directed more towards your inner life or more towards your outer life?

Your purpose is to love, be joyful, and learn. That is your sole purpose. Now, what you do as a vocation is different. Remember though, what you do for work does not define you and is usually not your purpose. A select few have work that brings them joy, but most of us do not.

Good luck in finding all you seek. Meditate and visualize yourself doing what you want to do. That will resonate with the vortex that contains that which you desire and it will become yours. This is not hyperbole or new age BS. It is real. Trust it and do it. Salute!

Youngsoul, I think "lost" is a relative word, and does not necessarily mean you are in a negative period in your life. I'm 50 and have been "lost" for most of my life, and am just now realizing that it is not me who is lost, but the majority of the rest of the population. The answers will come, when not forced, and it is not the destination, but the journey, so try to just be, and enjoy the adventure. Hugs

Kathie

I think it touches a bit of both, considering that I have never felt like everything that I do is what i am supposed to do...
It is like something is missing and I just dont know what it is, hence I am at a loss.

Sorry for being vague but I honestly cannot explain it better.

Hello, YoungSoul,
I think the answers are waiting to find them. Work is only speck of the landscape of the big picture. Open your heart and listen ... Open your eyes and see. So wonderful miracles waiting to be seen and understood.
Try to realize the causes of fear and sadness, thanking them as part of your lesson and let them go... Fill the void with love. :)

Hope to deal with the challenge of my "very special" English. :biggrin1:

YoungSoul'
If your feelings are telling you your not on the right path, then become aware of your environment and your place in it. Sense the intellect you have at this point for things that are pleasing to you then go in that direction in a positive way. All journeys began with the first step just make sure the direction you go in satisfies your thirst .

Dear YoungSoul
We all feel lost at times and age has nothing to do with it.
BUT............... may I suggest whilst you are 'searching' for what your Life path/journey is here now in this incarnation.................... continue to have FUN!

Drink in all the positive things that life has to offer, and it does. Take every good opporutnity you are given in life, take life by the ba**s!
Sift out the negative, because unfortunetly there is negativity :( but learn from it.
Keep learning, seeking the truth (your truth), meditate often and enjoy the journey. Choose LOVE, choose Peace and you will get 'there'.
Do what feels right for YOU, don't be influenced by others in doing something that doesn't feel right to YOU and you will be on the right path.

In terms of more practical advice, and in relation to your career; you will do what you came here to do, hopefully, as long as you don't allow anyone or anything to interfere with your life plan/journey. Research the different types of professions that are out there, see what really interests you, if you are already qualified to do it great.............. if not, get qualifications that will enable you to do it.

If you keep asking "why am I here, what do you want me to know"........ it WILL come. But keep asking !! Keep asking!!

Remember :

You are never alone and

"ask and thou will receive"............. but be careful what you ask for, you might just get it ! :)

Much LOVE to you ........... Oh to be 22 again !! So much Fun, Fun, Fun !!:music:

I am going to play devil's advocate here...
Just something to consider - and it is meant in the kindest way, YoungSoul - sometimes, it can be useful to hear a contrary viewpoint.

When I was going through my teenage-angst time, full of introspection and self obsession (and I am not saying this part applies to you!), my grandmother stepped in. She was a straight talking, hit-between-the-eyes lady, who had had a tough life, but who was always positive and courageous. And she loved me to bits...

She was a volunteer at a local children's home at the time, and she marched me off to help there. It took me out of myself - not that my questions went away, but when I saw firsthand the desperate needs of others, it gave me a much wider perspective.

I wish i had all the the wisdom of all wise men, but I also wish that I had the good will of all the good men.

I've meditated before, but I have never really felt the "effect" of meditating, then again I do suspect that I dont have been doing the most effective sort of meditation, the type I have tried is to breathe and count down from 100.

So I welcome a lot of guidance regarding meditation.
