I've read about this 1995 documentary in many UFO books, Amazing! It's made me break out in a cold sweat even though i have seen this before. This was made by Disney and test shown in only five cities on local TV to measure audience response (panic, etc), by telling the unvarnished 'truth' instead of the usual cagey question phrasing "Was it a weather balloon?" becomes "the idea of creatures from another planet might not be as far-fetched as we once thought." The spacecraft that crashed as Roswell - "The shocking history of govt. misinformation programs designed to prevent widespread panic!" All narrated by Robert Urich!

Wow this is something.

I feel like were witnessing the result of someone very high up saying "Well, what if we just bluntly tell people?"

No 'but', 'and' or 'possibly'. They speak in abrupt absolutes and have a very playful undertone (music and sound effects) I'm assuming to relieve tension while receiving this information.

No love and light in this video. More like: Prepare to be food or slaves, or both.

On the other hand, 1995 was the peak of the x-files popularity and this was a promo for a new scary attraction at a theme park.

Tomorrowland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomorrowland) isn't really what you would call scary.

I didn't really get a negative vibe from what was presented. More "they're interested in us joining the galactic community and we don't really understand what is happening" feeling.

Perfect example of how we all see the same objective information differently. I'm not saying that your wrong and I'm right, just that we don't perceive the same information in the same way.

I saw the "scary" green scooby doo lettering on the title sequence, the references to the Brookings report and the collapse of civilization, abductions and experimentation, and finally promo shots of the special effects in Tomorrowland.

Edit to add: I actually would be surprised if they didn't do other Promos for Tomorrowland aimed at different market segments.

There is almost always this kind of thing considering that so many media outlets are owned by the same groups.

For example the rash of History channel shows about gladiators around the time the Russel Crowe movie was released. Or the "Science of Star Wars" coinciding with the re-re-re-release of the movies.

We certainly do not perceive the same information in the same way my friend and thats the beauty of it.Mankind has the unique ability to ignore the obvious, especially when the facts reveal a disturbing truth. We once believed the sun revolved around the Earth. When Galileo demonstrated the reverse is true in 1634, he was charged with heresy and placed under house arrest for the last eight years of his life. The charges were later dropped â 342 years later.

Now as we approach the new millennium, mankind is in the midst of the most profound event in history â actual contact with intelligent life from other planets. For nearly 50 years, officials have been documenting routine alien encounters here on earth, and thousands of people have seen or experienced this alien presence.

Yet many others still refuse to acknowledge the obvious evidence all around them. What is it like to be confronted by a creature whose intelligence and skill is far beyond the comprehension of mankind? Would it be enlightening? Would it be an exercise in terror? Or perhaps both?

WHEN disclosure finally happens (not IF) those of us who have been digging into the phenomenon will perceive this far differently than our family and neighbors. You and I may find ourselves in high demand with our aquaintences as they come to us for information.

And I'm leaning toward both...enlightening and terrifying. Thanks for the videos, it prompted some valuable exchanges.

Just like people getting arrested in the wall street protests, 2011 and we are arresting the wrong people I wonder will their charges be dropped 342 years later? Excellent work as usual The one.

Very interesting. It seems more than just a promo however. I noticed the deliberately chosen underlying music to create tension and fear in the body. If you played the music alone without any information the body would feel scared... just the result of the jarring frequencies. When I notice this type of manipulation in any film or recording it is usually a big alert to me that someone is trying to control me subconsciously for their own reasons. And that is MY territory... no one else is allowed to manipulate me in this way! (there, there body, you are safe and there is no threat)

If it was only for advertising why were all the facts pulled together to create a story so like the actual history of this? It appears to me that this film may have been created to put a fear of aliens into our subconscious. The cover story is that it is for advertising purposes.

There is quite a bit of data suggesting the black ops government agencies are the ones doing lab procedures on human subjects. If benign or friendly aliens are known to be arriving who would support increasing human conscious awareness and human freedom, then it would be very convenient to have a population that is terrified of them.

Great find. It was discussed and announced during the beginnings of the CSETI Project (Dr Steven Greer) and was intended to be a genuine "prepper" for disclosure. Something changed and it became a promotional feature for Disney's Future World. If I recall, it had something to do with the Clinton Administration of the time. I'll try and find the article buried in my archives ;)

EDIT
Yayyy - I'm not going senile after all! :)
The much larger article, (several pages) which was about the UFO Coverup and CSETI and featured in the Australian NEXUS Magazine 1996, Vol 3, No. 3, pp 47-52, 72, was written by Richard J. Boylan:

Even the Disney Corporation has been recently involved by sneak-telecasting a documentary to gauge public reaction to imminent ET contact. Statements were made such as: -

* Mankind is in the midst of the most profound event in history - actual contact with extraterrestrials.
* From beyond the boundaries of our perceptions, intelligent beings are beckoning mankind to join the galactic community.
* Earth is experiencing a tsunami of UFO sightings.
* Several alien craft have crashed and were recovered for secret US military research.
* Most Americans will explore outer space aboard crafts of alien origin.

Makes no mention of it being a promotion for Future World but does mention that the Clinton Administration "has already made several pilot videos of proposed alternative public announcements regarding the ET presence due for release at the end of 1996 or early 1997".
I wonder what happened to change their minds??

Absolutely fascinating! It is soooooo cognitively dissonant to see this kind of information being disseminated by the Walt Disney Corporation...

There really is a black ops/industrial/financial/military structure in place that controls the main stream media.

... with built in tags that can take you in opposite directions of thought.

In 1994.
