In 2008 a British company, Absolute Fabrications & Development (AFD), supposedly announced that they'd built an engine that burns CO2. If true, this could totally get us off gasoline driven engines. It is now almost 4 years later. Why is there only one mention of it on the web?

Is this the real deal or an "absolute fabrication"? My suspicions were triggered when I noticed that the posting date is March 31st, 2008 -- the day before April Fools Day. The spokesperson for AFD is listed as being named, "Shirley Knott". Anyone else heard of this or is it an obvious hoax? http://projectavalon.net/forum4/images/smilies/doh.gif

Couple years ago, on german state tv website ["ARD news"], there was a story about a new ready-to-run and highly efficient technology that could turn all of the world's garbage [everything, except metals and fats] into diesel fuel.
This particular story was on this website for a couple of hours, never to be seen again.

So, if there's anyting real behind your story, it's no wonder it's gone.
