Upon a quick search on the story, many people also refer to a storyline in an episode of Stargate SG-1.

Having never watched Stargate, I'm C&P-ing a couple of comments from posters.

Isn't this 'borrowed' from the plot-line of an episode of Stargate SG-1? In the episode, the SG-1 team travel back in time to ancient Egypt in order to stop the Goa'uld. Their plan fails and their means of returning to their own time is destroyed.

Trapped in ancient Egypt, they make a video on the camcorder they brought with them and leave it in a canopic jar in a tomb hoping that their future selves (now in alternate time-line) will find it and use the information on the video tape to prevent this temporal disaster from happening.

There is no doubt in my mind, The photo is from the TV series StarGate SG1. You can see a watch on the wrist of General Hammond and his blue uniform in the back ground. Go rent the DVD episode 19 and 20. You can clearly see the photo in this post is exactly the same as seen in SG1 episode 20 Moebius Part 2.

Why does this discovery, if indeed it's real, need to be the result of time travel? I thought we were all more enlightened than that. Earth's history is NOT what we've been led to believe, nor is humankind's existence here what we think or have been taught. In truth, the human races are ALL from 'somewhere else'. "We" have been here for a Very Long Time, and there have been a Number of 'advanced civilizations' previous to ours. Some even more advanced than ours, and when I say 'advanced', I do Not mean in the technical aspect, for this is truly a minor and secondary attribute in the concept of 'advancement'. For a society to be Truly Advanced, requires a greater understanding of the Reason for Life, and Sentience, leading to greater appreciation of what we term as 'Spirituality'.
