The CATCH-PHRASE Management Thread

My dear Avalonian friends,

I know all of you are aware that the general mainstream media world uses specific words and sets of words in a deliberate way to control the development of ideas and put a space between those associated with those terms and their "ideal idiot" non thinker, passive consumer of programmed thought. Or, to mislead the listener from an actual point of view they have just heard expressed.

It probably has other uses too, that you may well point out as this goes on.

I want this thread to be, first, a gathering place for any of such words and phrases that you are aware of. A healthy discussion would be great too.


Here goes, I'm going to kick things off with a few I have in my head right now.


Conspiracy Theorist.

Climate Change.

Terrorist.

and here's a new one that's just popped up as a daily staple on the BBC radio,

Anti Capitalist Demonstrators. ( how slippery is that ?! )


Ok, I think you get my drift.

See how all these terms have such powerful subliminal mind programming going on with them as you hear them around and about.

The one phrase that completely turned me off of ever viewing/ listening to any mainstream media is the constant use of the phrase "We're being told". The second I hear the words "We're being told" I immediately feel like I am being considered a mindless zombie being told what to think.

These two are area specific: In Southern Africa "Freedom Fighter" - or another one in Zimbabwe context: "War Veteran" (they weren't even born during war) - BTW it appears ok to rape, murder, pillage, invade homes & farms for these "people".
