For one day we peacefully protest in a symbol that will be felt across the globe.

We step out of the system and step back into ourselves.

Turn off all lights
Unplug all electrical devices
Abstain from using TV, radio and internet or phone.
Abstain from making any purchase of any kind
Choose that morning to cancel any services you feel you no longer need
That morning call in sick to work

Do NOTHING that generates money into THE SYSTEM.

We will send a message
We will unite

Most importantly, for one day...
We live without distraction
Read a book
Meditate
Play
Sing
Dance
Create
Frolic in nature
Love

Now I've been saying all along. You can't play games with the cheats so, just don't play. If they need your money, body to survive, "starve the greedy beast of enslavement wages."

There you go thats the idea. Cut up your credit cards ! I did a long time ago. Try to shop at local food markets and if you must buy any appliances take your business to a small local store. Keep the money circulating in your own community rather than give it to international conglomerates.

The whole point about October 28, 2011 is to help raise human consciousness on this particular day by abstaining in any way you can from the matrix that has been leaching off of our spirit light for millenia.
Take the day off and commune with yourself, your family, your friends and Mother Earth.

I like the part about singing, meditating and frolicing in nature and so on, but I won't unplug my fridge and I will most definitely go to work, not least because I like my job at a local courier service and I have no intention of letting the folks there down, as they heavily rely on me.

Or what if there's a weekly farmer's market somewhere tomorrow, should people really refrain from making a purchase there? What about doctors and nurses, should they unplug the devices in the hospitals and stay at home?

Sometimes people with the inclination of reaching for spiritual satisfaction loose the ground under their feet, it seems...

It is a good idea but I think some more notice would have been good, I like the idea of supporting local community business rather than the corporations, I remember when everyone avoided a certain brand of petrol over here for just one day and it hurt them. Something like that could be achievable again maybe for a week. I felt sick hearing BP bragging about billions of pounds profit in the last quarter just gone!
This really would be a good plan if we could get the message to the people, billions of people rather than billions for profit!!
