Gerardus was a lovely Dutch/Canadian man who wrote prolifically on metaphysical topics. He authored a series of print and e-books, and maintained a website called Soulwise: http://www.soulwise.net/ along with a daily list of inspirational messages called Cosmic Cookies.

I first encountered Gerardus in 1995 or so, on Spiritweb.org (anyone remember that?). I found him to be funny, wise, compassionate, and a major catalyst in my early awakening process. Although he was quite a bit older than most of the online population in the 90s, he was not intimidated by technology and remained active right up until he died, on October 18th.

I am sad that he's gone but I know he would want his family, friends and fans to rejoice. He's finally in the Light he wrote about so often.

If you remember him, hoist a cold one in his honor.

I didn't know about him (although I did vaguely remember the Spiritweb website), but I must say, researching him after reading your post eventually led to me unexpected gems... and when I say "gems", I am not exaggerating. I found very important - I mean, personally relevant - information.

Thank you for that.
And Godspeed, Gerardus, wherever you are! :-)

His words are a comfort to any awakening soul who needs reasurance in an ever confusing world. He answered all my questions in a humourous, truthful way that any soul could understand. He was a gem. No doubt many who have read his words have drawn upon their strength. Love to you Gerardus.
